DISCLAIMER:
Hello again, this is chapter 71. Before finding who is the final 2 lets's watch the final episode of Aftermath for the masses. What surprises will we find in the episode? Find out right now.
And remember, if you enjoy the episode, remember to leave a review with your favorite part, either a character or a joke, this will help me both in this and in future stories. Or if you don't feel like it, at least mark it as a favorite so I can know you're enjoying the story. Now before getting started, let me review last week's review.
PLS WHY DAWN: Well, if you're reading this episode, you know already, poor Dawn was eliminated by DAM twisting the rules because she could identify robots from normal people just looking at their "lack" of aura. It's unfair but if you were an evil super computer, you would do the same.
theswenuser: and you were right, this was the last Aftermath ;) and thanks for your vote
amit. avrashmi: about the former contestant's influence, you will have to wait to find out, and also thanks for your vote
gman5846: Yes Courtney now had the chance to win her first one, also thanks for your vote.
Harmony735: Hahaha, I'm glad you like it, originally the top 3 was different, but all the elimination order changed a lot during the story's development.
AwesomeCream810: no problem, I'm the one that is grateful for your drawing. thanks for your vote.
Tempokeep: Yes, I wanted to make this episode a little more cartoonish and keep the feeling of low cost. So taking 3 tokens of the competition felt like a nice way to warrant there weren't winners and made the tie more probable. I hope it was fun to read. And also, thanks for your vote.
Fernanda15fa: Happy you like it, let me continue then ;)
And a big thanks to all the other Tyrants that take their time to vote for the finale two: LittleRedline, Lbelle444, Mesosil, Derick Lindsey, PG.182227, Blxxdcherry, and guest. I know you usually don't review but thanks for the support :D. Next week we will reveal the winner.
Finally, as always, a HUGE shoutout and THANKS to Geofics, who helps me proofread the episodes. After this, we are in the final part of the chapter. Thanks for helping me all this year.

Total Drama Aftermath for the Masses
Final Episode
Multiple ships and helicopters arrived at the docks of Pahkitew island. The show's staff joined the island's staff in the crater that used to be the central lake.
There the staff built a giant scene with the emblematic sofas of the Aftermath show on them and a screen at the top. Instead of the peanut gallery benches there were three smaller bleachers, each with a photo of one of the top 3 contestants over them. Courtney at the left, Brick at the center, and Sammy at the right.
In the center of the scene were three familiar figures.
"Hello Everyone, I'm Blaineley Stacey Andrews O'Halloran. Welcome to the most exciting episode of Total Drama, Aftermath for the masses. This time LIVE from Pahkitew island," said Blaineley, dressed in a red executive dress.
LeShawna nodded. She was dressed in a white dress with long and wide sleeves, "And it's really the most exciting episode. Because tomorrow we'll have the great and thrilling season's finale of the season. I'm LeShawna and will also join you in today's episode."
"And I'm Harold Norbert Cheever Doris McGrady V, who along with LeShawna and Blaineley will host this episode. As the beautiful LeShawna mentioned, tomorrow is the finale of the season, and for that finale, we need your help," added Harold, who was wearing the same blue suit he used in the first episode. "Enter the website or the mobile app and vote for your favorite finalist. Brick or Sammy."
"Nonsense! They only want to scam money with their cheap and useless apps, that isn't EVIL, just cheap," said Max, folding his arms. He was standing with the rest of the peanut gallery outside the stage.
LeShawna ignored him. "The one with more votes will go against Courtney in the last challenge to win ONE MILLION DOLLARS," she said, raising both arms. The peanut gallery outside the stage cheered at her words.
"But before getting started, let's call all the losers and extras to sit in the bleachers belonging to the finalist they support," said Blaineley, pointing at the bleachers. "Come in peanut gallery."
The contestants entered from the left side of the stage. Most of them dressed in the same way as they did in the season they competed.
In Courtney's bleacher sat Katie, Sadie, DJ, Cody, Alejandro, Heather (who sat in Alejandro's lap), B, Zoey, Dawn, and Jay.
"Hey girls, how weird you're here supporting Courtney too," commented DJ waving at the BFFFs.
"Well, I didn't really want to, but Sadie insisted, so here we are," said Katie, smiling as always.
The chubby BFFF nodded. "Even if she was nasty and selfish, I think she really is making a great effort to become better. So I also can become a better person and forgive her. And what about you DJ? I thought you were scared of her."
"Hehehe, Actually, I'm still a little nervous around her. But after talking with Duncan, I think what she's doing deserves support, just like you," said the Brickhouse with a heart, smiling.
At the same time, in Brick's bleacher sat Lindsay, Jo, Anne Maria, Staci, Dakota, Sam, Lightning, Cameron, Charlotte, and Max.
"How unusual you joined this team instead of Sammy's team," said Charlotte, looking with curiosity at Max.
"Hahahaha, I'm an EVIL genius. I do whatever I want, never fitting conventional patterns like ordinary morons," said Max, laughing maniacally, then he added in a more normal tone. "And also he gave me a little assistance during the first challenge, so I want him to win. And you, sidekick, didn't you hate him?"
Charlotte chuckled. "I was just a troll, letting my emotions take control of me. I realize I was unfair, and supporting him to win this game is the least I can do."
And finally, in Sammy's bleacher were the last contestants, Beth, Beardo, Leonard, Amy, Rodney (dressed in a pink overall and striped black and white t-shirt), Topher, Jasmine, Sky, and Shawn.
"I wanted to ask you my huge friend, what is that weird outfit you're wearing? It's from a hidden class? Did you join the hardheads?" asked Leonard, making a really nerdy and obscure role reference.
"Eh? No, I guess? Katie made this outfit for me, so we could match in the show. It's a shame she and Sadie are on Courtney's side instead of supporting Sammy," said Rodney, making a big smile that showed the gap between his teeth.
The wizard elbowed him and winked. "So she made some clothes for you. It seems something is going on with that lady."
Topher rolled his eyes as Beardo smiled and squeed "EEEEEEEE" just as the BFFFF's would.
"Oh no, nothing like that. I thought I was in love, but Sadie explained to me that there is much more for a relationship and that I wasn't really in love with Katie. It seems I misunderstood her," explained Rodney rubbing his neck.
"Wow Rod, that's awesome," said Topher, honestly impressed. "Realizing that will help you a lot in the future, well done."
Rodney blushed and nodded. "Of course it will. The problem is that I'm used to all girls falling in love with me quite easily, so what happened with Katie shocked me. But I guess not all girls will fall in love with you."
"You still have a long way to go," sighed the host wannabe, patting the farmer's elbow.
But the situation was a lot tenser with the other members of the bleacher.
"I know you're just full of it, sheila. Once you show your true colors, I will kick your sorry arse," said Jasmine, glaring but not looking at the twin.
"Yes, whatever lets you sleep at night, Giantsmine. Believe me or don't, I don't care," replied Amy in a fake Aussie accent.
Sky looked at both with an annoyed expression. "Can't you stop already? I'm sure Sammy won't want you to be fighting all the time. At least try to tolerate each other."
Amy and Jasmine glared at each other and then turned their heads away, talking simultaneously. "Hmph! I will, but I still don't trust her."
Sky rolled her eyes. This was going to be a long episode. Meanwhile, Shawn was looking at B. He and the silent man bonded a lot in the last episode and wondered why he decided to sit on Courtney's side.
"It seems the support is more or less evenly spread among the three contestants," said Blaineley, smirking. "Brick had a little more support, but Courtney and Sammy are even."
Alejandro raised a hand, "Actually, I'm on Brick's side. But I didn't want to leave Heather sitting in a cold bleacher, so I sat on this side instead. But mi apoyo es para mi amigo[1]."
"Yes, yes, We all know you support that hard-headed soldier. Don't be so dramatic," said Heather rolling her eyes.
"And you, Heather? I'm shocked you are here instead of on Sammy's bleacher," said Cody, winking.
"I support both of them, but this bleacher was closer," said Heather, smirking, not wanting to say her real reasons.
As the peanut gallery talked, the hosts continued with the show.
"And on this outstanding occasion, we have some outstanding guests. You know all of them because these 5 illustrious friends were featured in our popular section 'Total Drama Lost Ones'," said Harold in a loud voice, pointing at the left side of the stage. "Let's give a big hand to our 5 guests, Ezekiel, Dave, Scarlett, Sierra, and Izzy."
The 5 former campers entered the stage and sat in the bleachers. Sierra and Scarlett on Courtney's bleacher, Izzy and Zeke on Brick's bleacher, and Dave on Sammy's bleacher.
Blaineley made a big grin to the audience and looked at the bleachers."Ok, it seems our los… I mean our guests have already decided who they're supporting in the finale. But why? Why did they choose to support that finalist in particular? Let's find out. First you Issac-"
"It's Zeke, Well, it's actually Ezekiel, but Zeke for short," interrupted the prairie boy.
"And I just mentioned his name. Thanks for paying attention," said Harold folding his arms and glaring at the diva.
But the blond host just rolled her eyes, annoyed. "Whatever, Zeke, Why are you supporting Brick? Is it because you still resent when Courtney hit you with that lamp post?"
"Eh? No, I even forgot about that," said Ezekiel, looking at the host with a puzzled expression. "I sat here because Anne Maria sat in this bleacher, and I wanted to be close to her eh."
Anne Maria giggled. "Oh Zeky, that's actually a really good reason. I'm supporting Brick because he's the one with the best fashion sense when he isn't wearing that ugly military uniform."
"Thanks for answering even if no one cares about your opinion," replied Blaineley in a harsh tone. "Izzy, what about you?"
"I'm supporting Brick because when we were on the island he showed me his potential as a survivor and fellow explorer," said Izzy, nodding wisely. "There's nothing like killing a bear together to create a bond."
Cameron looked at her with a nervous expression, "you mean a ROBOTIC bear, right?"
"Hahaha, I mean any bear silly. You'll only find out if they're robotic or not once you kill it," replied the redhead, making her classic crazy smile.
The brainiac adjusted his glasses, not believing her answer. "What? Of course not, their behavior, build, coloration and accessories like snorkel or oxygen tanks can help us to learn the true nature of-"
"Only once you kill it, let's kill one after the show, Cameron!" said Izzy, interrupting him.
In the cave behind the waterfall, the bear felt a shiver down his spine.
Back again at the stage, LeShawna looked at Sierra. "Let's forget about killing bears, and let's go with our next guest, Sierra. Girl, why are you cheering for Courtney? I don't remember you two being close."
"Hehehem Oh LeShawna, Courtney and I didn't have a BAD BAD relationship. We even worked together to eliminate Gwen in World tour. It's true she was arrogant and insufferable most of the time, in front and behind the cameras. But I would define our relationship as cordial," said Sierra smiling a lot while receiving some glares from Cody and Zoey.
"Maybe it's my imagination, but that doesn't sound like something I would say to support someone," replied LeShawna, raising an eyebrow.
The uberfan chuckled, dismissing LeShawna's claims with a hand gesture. "Don't worry about the details. And I have another reason to support her, most of the followers of my blogs think she deserves to win a season. So if the fans want her to win, I want her to win."
"That was unexpected but coming from Sierra, it's not even surprising," said Harold adjusting his glasses. "Now Dave, can you share with us the reasons why you're supporting Sammy? It's because you're coevals?"
Dave shook his head. "Not really, we trained together on the island. I think she worked really hard to win, so she deserves it."
"I didn't know you and Sammy were coevals, so good for you Dave," said Sky in a really cold tone.
"Coeval means they have the same age," said Shawn in a neutral tone, "which means all the contestants in Pahkitew island are coevals."
Sky blushed but tried to dissimulate. "I know. I was just upset because I thought Dave looked older."
"You suck at lying, you know," said Amy, nodding. "But don't worry, it's ok to be jealous."
Dave and Sky blushed, the native Canadian glaring. "I'M NOT JEALOUS. Ugh I hate how everyone likes to mock when someone makes a small mistake."
Beardo imitated a laugh track, making things worse. A death glare from Sky made him realized his blunder, so he rubbed his neck ashamed.
"Ahem, and lastly Scarlett. You're the opposite. Instead of Sammy you're backing up one of your senior competitors. What is the rationale behind your decision?" asked Harold, trying to ignore the bickering in the third bleacher.
"Hello, Mr. McGrady. My decision isn't a conundrum. On one side, the correlation with the peers from my generation isn't optimal, which discourages me from vouching for Samantha. And also, I consider Courtney to be a kindred individual. We both must endure a lot of drawbacks thanks to being intellectually superior. So even if she isn't at my level, she is gifted enough to deserve inspiriting for her," said Scarlett adjusting her glasses.
Blaineley rolled her eyes, "Blablabla, ok girl, now in English."
"She just said it. She supports Courtney because she doesn't like the people from her season, and both are smart and misunderstood, GOSH! If you aren't paying attention, just leave the interviews to LeShawna and me," replied Harold, glaring at her.
The diva glared back at Harold but couldn't find any words to humiliate him after that comeback.
"Wow, I'm stunned in wonderment, it's so recherché to find a person who I can talk to without modulating my vocabulary. You're outstanding Mr. McGrady," said Scarlett smiling.
B heard that, stood up from his place, and sat beside Scarlett, looking at her with a big smirk.
"What? are you insinuating you can keep a conversation with me? You're overrating your own intellectual aptness," said Scarlett in a proud tone.
The silent guy chuckled and shrugged. After that, he winked at her.
"Perfectly fine with me, I accept your challenge. I can warrant you will regret it," said Scarlett, smirking.
"And now that all our guests are in their place, it's time to present the first of our three honor guests on today's show," said LeShawna, continuing with the show. "And remember this time there are only 3 guests because YOU, our audience, will choose who will be the second finalist in the show."
Blaineley stepped in front of LeShawna. "Remember to send your vote on the website or mobile app. This may be your last chance to be the Tyrant of this season."
"Hahaha, stop trying so hard old glory. No one wants to buy your overpriced game. So let's go on with the show," shouted Jo, smirking.
"There is no need to be so rude. I'm sure Blaineley is just trying to do her job," said Zoey, feeling bad for the host.
Sierra chuckled. "Oh Zoey, you're as nice as always, but don't worry, Blaineley is used to being trash-talked. Jo's comments are nothing compared to what Hillary Morrison said about her in-"
"ENOUGH SIERRA!" shouted the blond host, her eyes bulging. She then recovered her composure. "No one is interested in old gossips. LeShawna, please introduce the first honor guest."
"This girl was the surprise of the season. With a small body and a nice and polite attitude, she's the one reaching furthest in the season from the new competitors, ending in 6th. My favorite shy girl, Lilly," said LeShawna, in a cheerful and loud voice.
Lilly was waiting outside the stage. She was hesitant about entering. It was her turn? She was introduced, but does that mean she should go right now? With a heavy heart, she decided to enter slowly.
The redhead strolled through the scenario. Harold and LeShawna looked at her intently while Blaneley was tapping her feet.
"Hurry up sidekick, we don't want to be here all day," shouted Max, cupping his mouth with his hands to sound louder.
Lilly blushed and ran to the sofa near the hosts. "Yes, I'm sorry. I'm here."
"Don't worry girl, you're just as I imagined. Welcome to the aftermath show," said LeShawna, making a big smile.
"Thanks, it's a pleasure to be here," said the treehugger, making a small smile.
Staci smirked. "Ha, and they call me a liar. My great, great, great, great, great uncle, honest Abe could lie better than her, and he never lied."
"Wait, are you saying that Abraham…" a shocked Cameron began to say, but then he shook his head. "Forget it. I don't know why I always believe your stories."
"Because you're a really smart guy Cameron, ya," replied the compulsive liar, nodding proudly.
Harold smiled at Staci's occurrences and continued. "Tell us Lilly, what are your general feelings about being eliminated in 6th place."
"I'm quite proud of my elimination. I think I made mistakes, and I have to pay for them. But the whole experience helped me to grow as a person, so I'm proud," said Lilly, making a big smile.
"What? Dude, are you proud of being eliminated by the public? That's weird. Right, bro?" said Jay, elbowing B, who just rolled his eyes.
Lilly blushed a lot, she forgot the actual episode wasn't shown. "I mean, I'm sure the fans across the country realized that I could do better, and that's why they didn't support me. But I'm sure if there is a next time, I'll do better."
"That's awesome Lilly, I'm sure you will," shouted Beth, raising a hand.
"Her aura is a lot brighter than before. She has come a long way since the start of the season," said Dawn, nodding.
Blaineley tried to not gag. "Yes, yes, she's awesome, and all of us are friends. Tell us Lilly, are you proud of yourself after cheating in the competition?"
All the presents gasped, except for Amy, who only glared at her.
"Hey old hag! Don't bully her!" shouted the older twin, standing up.
"That girl just stole my line, but I enjoyed how she used it, so I'll allow it," said Anne Maria, making a small smile. And then spraying her hair (as well as Sam and Dakota who were sitting behind her)
Lilly looked at the ground, ashamed. "I'm not proud of some of the decisions I took during the show. I was tempted by the easy way and was so insecure of my own strength. But I learned my lesson so I would never do that again."
"Don't worry, coward girl. It's normal to doubt your own strength unless you're as strong and amazing as Lightning. Lightning never doubted his strength, Sha-zam," said the jock flexing his muscles.
"If I had those arms, I wouldn't doubt my strength either eh, but I think the girl isn't talking about physical strength," said Zeke with a thoughtful expression.
Lightning face beamed. "You're really smart eh-dude, Lightning regrets giving you a sha-beating when he met you for the first time in that cave. Then again, you were really angry, so it may have been the only option."
"Accepting your mistakes is part of growing, so you should be proud," said LeShawna smiling at the treehugger. "Now last question Lilly, of the three remaining players, who is the one you're supporting to win the finale?"
"That's easy, Sammy. She's my inspiration because she was like me and grew into her own person. I hope to be like her in the future," said Lilly blushing.
Jasmine made a big smile. "Hey, that sheila really knows her stuff. I like her."
"Yes, she's really cool," said Lindsay, putting a finger under her chin, "but I think her name is Lilly, not Sheila."
"Hehehe, no worries. It's just a word we use to call girls in Australia," said Jasmine winking at the blond girl.
Lindsay nodded in awe. "Wow, Australia can be, like, really awesome. I want to learn to speak Australian."
"No! We speak English, I mean, crickey, I'll explain it later," said the outback survivalist, scratching her head under the hat.
"Thanks a lot, Lilly, now please sit at the right bleacher while we continue with the show," said LeShawna giving her a handshake as the redhead walked to the bleacher with Sammy's face.
"Welcome Lilly, you did a great job at your interview," said Amy, patting the place next to her.
Lilly blushed, talking in a low and inaudible whisper.
"Don't be embarrassed. You did a great interview. I'm proud of how you accepted cheating on the show. You're really brave," said the twin, putting her arm across Lilly's shoulder.
The redhead smiled. "Thanks Amy, coming from you, that means a lot." She then hesitated but there was something she wanted to ask the older twin since the beginning of the show. "Now that we both are eliminated, I wanted to ask you. Did you become my friend just to use my vote against Sammy?"
"What kind of silly question is that?" asked Amy back, glaring at her friend. But Lilly was really serious about it, her eyes fixed on the twin's eyes.
The cheerleader groaned. "Ok, yes, part of getting close to you was for your vote, but also because you reminded me of Sammy when she was younger. Just don't tell anyone."
The redhead nodded. Amy was always like that, honest even if it hurt a little. That is why she was her best friend.
"Before our next honor guest's interview, we proudly present, for the last time, our favorite segment Total Drama Lost ones!" said Harold pointing at the camera with a big smile.
"Was it really popular?" asked Sam, scratching his head.
"I don't think so. I mean, the game was a complete cheat, nobody was lost, and you can win without taking the photo of the actual target. I would never play it," said Charlotte, shrugging.
"My great, great, great, great grandfather Alfred invented variety shows. Before him, all segments in shows were dull and boring as this one, so sad," said Staci, looking with a sad frown at the hosts.
LeShawna cleared her throat, "Ahem, anyway this week's winner is Leo Selina, who sent us this photo from the Vancouver airport."
The image showed Izzy holding an airport worker by the collar of his shirt.
"HEY LOOK IT'S ME!" shouted Izzy, jumping excitedly. "I'm on international tv!"
"But we're already on international tv," said Dakota, sending a kiss to the camera, "and also, it's nothing so exciting once you get used to it. I mean, for some people, fame is as natural as breathing."
Blaineley rolled her eyes and continued. "And with this photo, Leon won a free subscription to the web app to watch the GRAND FINALE of Total Drama Tyranny of the masses tomorrow. Congratulations!" The diva then clapped, joined by the rest of the staff and the peanut gallery.
"I don't understand. It wouldn't make for a better prize to come and watch the final challenge live?" asked Zoey in a low voice.
"Girl, are you saying that coming here is a prize? That's a little far-fetched," replied DJ, looking at her with a puzzled expression.
Sierra came close to the Indie girl, also whispering, "they can't do that. Not only is it dangerous but there is no budget to pay the traveling expenses of a guest-"
"And now we will invite the second honor guest to the scene," said LeShawna in a loud voice, interrupting Sierra, "He's-"
"He's one of the fan favorites of the show, one of the 4 competitors who took part in 5 seasons, making it to the merge in all of them. He's a former Killer Bass, Screaming Gaffers, Chris is really, really, really, really hot, Villainous Vulture and in this season a Favorite Fox. Winner of the second season, the resident delinquent of the show, DUNCAN!" said Blaineley in an excited voice, interrupting the sister with a 'tude.
The delinquent entered from the left side. He was using a professional black sling, smirking and waving at the bleachers.
"Hello Duncan, to be honest, I expected you to be here earlier. How was your time in prison?" asked Harold, in a harsh tone unusual to him.
"Hello Doris," said Duncan scratching his head with his healthy hand. "Look man, I was kinda shitty with you a few years ago, but we were teenagers, and I'm sorry for that. Can we try to have a civilized interview?"
Beth shouted from the bleachers. "Yes, Harold, he may have been a bully, but he isn't anymore. At least give him a chance."
"He isn't?" asked Alejandro in a lower tone, not wanting to create more drama, at least for now.
"Beth is talking about how she feels and interprets Duncan's actions. I also think he's still a bully, but everyone deserves a second chance," replied Dawn, making a small smile.
Harold sighed and adjusted his glasses. "Ok, my attitude was out of place, so let's start again. Welcome, Duncan, and thanks for coming to this interview. So tell us, how do you feel after going out of the competition so close to the finale?"
"I'm satisfied. I enjoyed this season a lot. Last time I was too worried about too many things and lost focus on what was important. This time I'm sure I did my best. BUT I would still prefer to reach the finale. At least this time I didn't end up in jail, so I call it an improvement," said Duncan, a lot more relaxed than before.
"Bah! Why does everyone treat him like he is a big villain or something? I DESERVE the title of the resident EVIL delinquent of the show. Is it the green hair?" asked Max, visibly annoyed.
Dakota looked at him with wide eyes. "OF COURSE NOT. Green hair is fashionable, not evil or something," she folded her arms, offended. After all, her hair was green for several months. "I think it's probably the tattoos."
"Na, it's the green faux mohawk. There is something really hot in that ugly hair," said Anne Marie in a sultry tone.
Everyone in the bleachers looked at her with wide eyes and different levels of shock.
She rolled her eyes, annoyed. "Ugh! Even someone as dashing as me can like a tacky hairstyle."
The delinquent ran a hand through his mohawk as Harold and LeShawna chuckled.
"So Duncan, tell us about the accident that provoked your med-evac. What happened? How did you ruin your chances to be the first two times winner of the show?" asked Blaineley, making an impish smile.
There was a small silence, Duncan putting a thoughtful expression.
"OMG, he must be really hurt if he's taking so much time to answer the question, right Sadie?" asked Katie, feeling bad for the delinquent.
"Without a doubt, Katie, just look at him. Blaineley can sometimes be really heartless," replied Sadie, glaring at the blond host.
Scarlett just smirked at the BFFF comments, "This is unexpectedly jocose. I wonder how he'll circumvent the current predicament."
Because the genius knew that Duncan wasn't hurt by the question. The reality was he didn't know what to answer! After all, he didn't pay attention to the official cause of his accident.
"I feel like a total dork. It's at moments like this, I realize I should pay more attention, and now it's too late. And as I can't go back in time, I just have to do my best with what I have," replied the delinquent.
"That's all, you just feel bad? You lost the chance to win a MILLION dollars and be the FIRST double winner in the show's history after stumbling with your own feet. And that's all you have to say about it?" replied Blaineley that wanted more drama, not just a simple answer like that.
Duncan frowned angrily. "What can I say? Everybody makes mistakes," he answered. Of course, McLean had to do something to humiliate him as revenge for being med-evacuated.
"It was a shame I wasn't there. I could have prevented this fall with a wingardium leviosa," said Leonard making a swish and a flick with his hand.
"Of course not. You don't have a wand. You can't use wingardium like that, idiot," replied Amy rolling her eyes.
Some people chuckled, and others glared at Amy, while Beardo made the sad trombone sound as Leonard looked at the mean twin in awe.
"Are you also a fan of Parry Hotter?" asked Leonard, ignoring the twin insult.
Amy blushed profusely. "I... er, of course not, maaaybe I watched the movies, but nothing else."
She then made sure to hide her Slytherin key ring.
"Last question, but I know it's not a question at all. Who are you supporting to win the final?" asked LeShawna, looking at him with an impish smile.
"I wouldn't be angry if any of those 3 wins the game. Brick is a hard worker and Sammy has grown a lot since I met her during the teams' swap. But I support Courtney. That girl deserves a win," said Duncan trying to dissimulate.
"EEEEEEEE" squeed the BFFFs and Rodney, giving each other a thumbs up across the bleachers.
"Look at him Katie, he's trying so hard to hide his feelings," said Sadie in an excited tone.
"I just hope she can forgive him and give him a second chance. I love these love stories, enemies to lovers," said Katie in an equally excited tone.
Jay rolled his eyes. "What is so great about him? He only wants to get in her pants."
B slapped his friend in the head.
"Ouch! Hey Dude, why did you do that?" asked the skateboarder in an angry tone.
The silent man put a hand on the blond guy's shoulder and shook his head, trying to convey his feelings.
"Ok I understand," replied Jay in an annoyed tone, "you also like that hot Latina. I won't trash talk her again."
It was useless. B facepalmed and knew it was useless to try to teach common sense to this guy. After a moment, he slapped him again.
"Thanks, Duncan, it was a pleasure to have you here," said Blaineley with a big smile. "Now, please go and take a seat on Courtney's bleachers while we start the next segment," added the diva, stealing LeShawna's part one more time.
The delinquent stood up and went to the bleachers. He looked at Zeke and winked at him before going to Courtney's bleacher.
"Hey Zeke! Nice to see you. I haven't had the chance to thank you for the bike. It runs like the wind," he said, pointing at the Prairie boy.
"Don't mention it eh! I'm glad you liked it," replied Zeke, blushing.
Jo glared at him. "Wait a moment. Zombi-eh boy, you gave Dorkan a bike and gave me a pair of stupid dumbells?"
"It's because what I did to him deserves better karma than what I did to you eh" said Zeke, lowering his head.
"Don't be so envious Jo, good things come to those who wait," said Izzy, nodding. "Now I don't have the patience to wait, so I don't know if it's true, but you should try it."
While Jo ignored Izzy's nonsense, Duncan sat next to DJ, giving him a handshake and a hug.
"Man you don't need to greet me like that each time we meet," said DJ returning the hug.
"Bro, what you did for me deserves more than just some hugs. You were one of the few that were with me during my time in prison. So let me at least greet you as you deserve," said Duncan letting him go.
The Jamaican guy chuckled. "I know you're grateful, but believe me, there is no need for hugs. We're friends. We got each other's backs."
The delinquent then waved at Zoey, Dawn, and Sierra. He then glared at Alejandro.
"Shouldn't you be in Brick's bleacher?" asked the delinquent.
"I'm there in spirit, but I wanted to spend some time with mi amor[2]," said Alejandro kissing Heather on the cheek.
"Alejandro, not in front of everyone," said Heather without meaning it. She then glared at Duncan, "Great job getting hurt Dumb-can, you're without a doubt one of the worst players in the game."
The delinquent rolled his eyes. "I'm also happy to see you again Heather."
While they bickered, the hosts continued with the show.
Blaineley made a big grin at the camera, "and the last-"
"And the LAST HONOR GUEST of the Aftermath show is another favorite of the audience. He's one of the best players in his generation, a member of the Mutant Maggots and the Heroic Hamsters, finishing as a runner-up in the All-stars season. Tyranny of the Masses fourth place, Mike," said Harold, stealing Blaineley's moment.
Mike entered the stage with a serious expression, unusual to him. Everyone was clapping at him, but two people were watching over him more intently than the rest.
"You can do it, Mik," said Cameron, holding his hands together.
Dawn looked at Zoey and put a hand on her shoulder. "Did he speak with you?"
"Yes, don't worry about it. I know it will be fine, but I'm so nervous for him," replied the redhead. Dawn just held her hand tightly.
"Welcome Mike, for extraordinary circumstances, you're the last guest of this aftermath show," said Harold shaking the spiky-guy hand. "How do you feel after being eliminated so close to your second finale?"
Mike gulped and then took a deep breath. "Before answering your questions, there is something I need to say… I'm not Mike."
Most of the audience gasped. Only those who knew about it, like Amy, or the ones that understood the seriousness of that statement, like Harold, kept quiet.
"Please continue," said the auburn-haired host, but he suspected what was happening.
"I'm an alter born to protect the system when Mal was about to hurt Zoey at the end of the All-star season. I was created as a personality to stop Mal and protect both myself and my loved ones," explained the former multiple-Mike.
There were whisperings among the audience. Most didn't understand what was happening.
"But didn't you and your personalities got fused with the reset button? That was what you said after Mal disappeared. Explain what happened!" said Balineley, upset about Mike stealing the spotlight of the episode.
"There was no reset button. It was a false memory the system created to explain Mal's disappearance. Alters have their own memories and personality." The lanky teen's expression was serene, trying to be as clear as possible. "In my case, my memories are supposed to be everyone's memories, and my personality is Mike's, but after a year, I realized that I'm not him."
Sam rubbed his chin, "but is it possible to develop more personalities like that?"
"A person with DID coping mechanism is to generate alters to deal with stress and past traumas. So it is more than possible," explained Cameron, making a sad smile. "It's a more logical explanation than a sudden merging of all the personalities."
"Ok, This is a little too much for me to understand right now," said LeShawna, rubbing her temple, "but if that's true, how is it that you have all the alters' memories and skills?"
The spiky-haired guy smiled. "I don't. I just have memories, or what I believe are their memories, but there is no way to be sure. And with Mike's memories, I'm sure many are fabricated. That's why I needed to be close to Zoey and Cameron because when I'm with them, I really felt I was Mike. They made me more Mike than ever."
"And about the skills, I just assume I have the same skills as them and have a lot of knowledge they had, but I can't be sure my skills are the same as them," replied Mik, shrugging.
Shawn scratched his head. "So, is he Mike or not?"
"Does it matter? He's the only Mik we ever knew, and he's our friend, that's enough for me," replied Dave shrugging.
"Exactly, I feel the same way. That's the guy who helped us during the game, and he's our friend. Well said Dave, I'm proud of you," said Topher giving a big slap in the Indian guy's back.
Dave just winced. "I'm glad you're proud, but there is no need to be so physical."
The interview continued on the stage. "But if what you say is true, you were the personality in charge during all the show. Why did you share this with us? You could just feign to be Mike, and nobody would realize it." Asked Harold, really invested in how these events developed.
"Because I finally confirmed that I wasn't Mike for sure during my time in the show. And also because sooner or later, the rest of my alters will come back again, and I'm not sure what will happen to me. Maybe I'll disappear, maybe I'll be part of the system, and I can take control as any other alter," explained Mik with a sad smile. "And also, I don't want to keep this a secret, I have a disorder, but my friends and family accepted me with it, accepted me for who I am. I don't want to lie to them."
There was a small silence among the crowd. Most didn't know what to say.
"And we're proud of you for that, Mik, don't worry. We will always be at your side," shouted Zoey, visibly moved by the moment.
"See Mik, it wasn't so hard. Don't you feel silly after being so worried about it?" shouted Amy, smirking.
Cameron stood up, cupping his hands. "We're here for each other. I'm your friend Mik, of all of you. So don't use that pained expression."
"Thank you, everyone. You don't know how much those words mean to me," said Mike with watery eyes.
Harold took off his glasses to clean them after fogging up, and LeShawna dried a single tear that ran across her face. Blaineley looked at her wristwatch and decided to take charge.
"That was wonderful Mike, we're all glad you feel that way, so we won't bother you with the interview. Last question, why are you supporting Brick to win the finale?" asked the diva, trying to sound empathic and failing completely.
The thin guy rubbed his arms nervously. "Brick? I mean yes, we're friends and I wish him the best, but I'm supporting another player to win the show."
"WHAT!? You can't do that! Every honor guest has to support a different finalist! This is an entertaining show, remember?" shouted Blaineley, holding her nose's bridge.
"Eh? How does having each of them support a different finalist make things more exciting?" asked Zeke, folding his arms with a thoughtful expression.
Jo rolled her eyes. "It doesn't Ezucker, it's a silly idea that Bland-ley used to create some artificial suspense."
"Shut up! You're only bitter because you weren't good enough to be in the show," replied Blaineley, tired of the jockette's insults.
"WHAT? Repeat that to my face, you third rate hasbeen," said Jo standing up and pointing at her.
Lindsay put a hand on Jo's shoulder, smiling. "Don't get riled up. You were only unlucky. You're awesome and strong. Next time you're in a season you will dominate."
"Eh…" the jockette was speechless, "Of course I will, you don't need to repeat what's obvious," she then sat muttering and almost inaudibly. "thanks."
"WOW, that Lindsay really calmed Jo," said Rodney, surprised.
Beth nodded, "People don't give her enough credit, but she is really good at comforting others. I'm really proud of her gold heart."
"Yes, I have never seen a girl so good-looking and nice. I think I'm in love," said Rodney, with a lovestruck expression.
"Hehehe, forget it big guy, she has a boyfriend," replied the brunette girl.
But the giant farmer seemed unfazed. "Loving is sharing."
"No Rodney! That isn't the meaning of that quote," shouted Beth in a concerned tone.
Mike ignored the drama and continued. "I support both Sammy and Courtney. Sammy because I owe a lot to both Topher and Amy, who supported me when I became a Fan ferret. And Courtney because she taught me that it was ok to live as myself, not feigning to be the original Mike," he then made his goofy smile. "But I'll sit in Courtney's bleachers just because Zoey is there."
"Thanks for coming, Mike. Now please sit in the bleacher of your preference while we enter the last segment of the show," said LeShawna winking as the former multiple Mike sat next to Zoey.
"You were wonderful. I'm so proud of you," said Zoey, putting a hand over his leg.
"Thanks Zoey," said Mik, looking nervously at her hand before putting his hand over hers. "Are we still ok?"
The redhead looked tenderly at him and nodded. "Mik, even if you aren't Mike, you're the guy I have been dating for more than a year. The one who met my parents and who took me to the ParkadeTire concert, and the one who comforted me when I had to take out my wisdom tooth. You're not the one I originally fell in love with, but you're the one I fell in love with again."
After saying she gives him a quick peek on the lips, surprising the thin guy.
"GET A ROOM!" shouted Duncan, as the people around chuckled. Making both Mike and Zoey blush.
"Thanks Duncan, you're a great friend," shouted Zoey in a snarky tone.
The delinquent made a bow. "Always a pleasure."
"And now, before closing the show, we have a very special segment. The contestants recorded a message asking you, our fans, your vote to reach the finale. So if you haven't voted yet, hear them and make a decision," said Blaineley smiling.
"And the first message is from Samantha. She'll deliver her prerecorded dissertation to the audience now, so let's hear her," said Harold clapping as the image focused on the big screen over the scenario.
Sammy's image appeared. She was recording the message in the confessional. "Hello, I'm Sammy, but you already know that, hehe."
"Don't be nervous Sammy, just be yourself," shouted Topher, giving her thumbs up.
"Toph, you know it's only a recording and that she can't hear you, right?" said Dave, raising an eyebrow.
The young twin took a deep breath. "Sorry, I was a little nervous."
"What were you saying?" asked Topher, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Reality never stops amusing me," said a defeated Dave, shrugging.
"I'm now in the tiebreaker for the finale, and I need your vote. But I think Brick also deserves to win it. I did my best, and I grew a lot during this season. So I'm satisfied," said Sammy, lowering her eyes and smirking.
The message was like throwing a bucket of cold water over Sammy's supporters, especially Jasmine and Amy, but they weren't the only ones.
Heather stood up from Alejandro's lap. "C'mon, you can't be giving up. You're better than that!"
"I thought you were supporting Courtney to win the show," said Alejandro, making a mocking smile.
"I was but it's obvious this girl needs my help more than Courtney. C'mon Alejandro we're changing bleachers," said the Asian girl dragging her boyfriend to the twin's bleacher.
Sammy continued. "But I don't want to stop here. I want to go the extra mile and compete with Courtney in the finale. So please give me your support. I promise to make my best effort. Thank you," said the younger twin, bowing at the camera.
"YES! You tell them Sammy," shouted both Jasmine and Amy at the same time, then they glared at each other and sat again looking away.
LeShawna clapped at the message. "Well said girl, I hope the public supports you."
"Now we have the second message from Brick McArthur. Let's listen to his message and decide if he's a better candidate than Sammy," said Blaineley as the image focused again on the screen.
The image showed the cadet saluting. "Hello everyone, I'm Brick McArthur with a message for all of you."
"Hahaha, Brick never changes. Just look how nervous he is," said Jo, making a natural smile.
"Really? Lightning doesn't think so. He isn't as confident as Lightning because nobody is," said Lightning while flexing.
Jo rolled her eyes. "Yes jockstrap, whatever you say."
"Right now, I need your cooperation to reach the finale. I'll not slander my rival because there is nothing bad to say about her. But if you give me your support. I promise to keep going by my code and show the world that even a backstabbing game like this one can be won with perseverance and loyalty to yourself," said Brick, smiling and putting his hand over his heart.
"Ehehehe, he's as cool as ever. He reminds me of Solid Snake," said Sam, nodding proudly.
"A snake? I don't think so. He seems like a cool guy. I'm happy to be on his bleacher," said Zeke, looking at Sam with a worried expression.
The gamer adjusted his glasses. "Man, I have so much to teach you. Let's start with the basics. Do you know Mario Bros?."
The cadet continued, "so I want to thank everyone out there for your support. And even if I'm not the winner, I want to tell Courtney and Sammy that it was an honor to be in the top 3 with you. Thanks for your attention, Brick McArthur over and out."
"That was really cool. I didn't know he was a hero of such principles. He may be the chosen one," said Leonard, rubbing his fake beard.
Beardo then made an imitation of the Cavalry charge.
"You're right, my bard friend, let's go," said the wizard, and both of Pahkitew's first boots stood up and sat at Brick's bleacher.
"So there you have it, the cheerleader against the cadet, second against third generation, woman against man, a conspiracy believer against a part of the conspiracy," said Harold, in an excited tone.
Jasmine tilted her head, "I don't think Sammy really believes in those things, right Shawn?"
"I hope she does. She's my best disciple after all," said Shawn with a proud smile, "And also, she's my only disciple."
"And last but not least. You all know her, and either love her or hate her. Considered a hero or a villain depending on the season. The last message is from Courtney, the only CIT to be in the show," said Harold in an excited tone.
Many contestants looked at the hosts with puzzled expressions.
"Was she considered a hero in any season?" asked Lindsay with a puzzled expression.
"But Courtney is already on the finale. Why did she record a message?" asked Cody in a loud tone.
"I don't have an answer to that, my friend, but we'll find out right now," said Harold as the image focused on the screen again.
Courtney was looking out of the confessional with a concerned expression. "Stop pushing me! So I need to record a message for the audience? About what?… but I don't have a favorite," she stood silent, hearing a voice outside the confessional. "WHAT? You should tell me that beforehand! I hope you edit this out of the message."
"I don't think he really paid attention to her request," said Cameron adjusting his glasses.
"Look, it's angry girl. She's part of Lightning's squad. She definitely can win this game," said Lightning, folding his arms.
The people in the bleacher looked at him with concerned expressions.
"I think you failed at the select bleacher mini-game. This is for generation 2 supporters. Genwunner's are over there," said Charlotte pointing at Courtney's bleacher.
"What are you sha-saying sister? Lightning knows that this is Brick's bleacher, but even if Lightning supports the angry girl, he wants to sit with Lindsay, Sha-bam," replied the jock, flexing.
"That was unexpectedly smart, ehehehe, never judge a game by its cover," said Sam, rubbing his neck.
While they talked, Courtney's message continued. "Hello, I'm Courtney, and I want to thank all the fans for their support this season. And especially those who supported me even with my flaws."
"She's hot, but that fake modesty is a little turn-off," said Jay, who then covered his head waiting for B hit.
But the silent man just looked at him with sadness and shook his head in disappointment.
The skater scratched his head under his toque. "Ok, maybe I went too far. I must not be so insensitive to other people's feelings. Sorry dude, sometimes I don't realize I'm a jerk."
The silent man smiled. Maybe he wasn't a lost cause.
The former CIT continued, "I'm supposed to ask you to vote for either Brick or Sammy, but I can't choose one of them. Brick is an honest and hardworking guy, and Sammy has grown a lot during the show. Both deserve to be in the final."
"Ugh! Why does she have to play the nice girl? Can't she just ask the public to vote for Sammy?" asked Amy aloud.
"Maybe she authentically likes both and wants to give them the same chance," replied Beth, who then put a finger under her chin. "Which is weird. Usually, Courtney would support the one she considers weaker so she could beat them in the finale."
Heather chuckled. "That Courtney is just trying too hard, but we all know her true colors."
"Really? I won't be so sure," replied Topher, making his best smile, "people can change if they want to. Even you can become a better person if you try to."
"Hmph, imbecile. I'm already a good person," shouted an offended Heather as Alejandro chuckled.
The CIT continued. "But I want to make it clear that whoever my opponent is, I'll do my best to beat them and win the final fair and square. This time this is my finale. Thanks and see you later."
Duncan clapped, "It seems Princess is in the right mindset. She got this."
"Wow Duncan. You're supporting Courtney so openly. Did something happen?" asked Sierra, really intrigued.
"Girl, didn't you watch the season? This guy has been trying to make amends with her since the beginning," said DJ, winking at the delinquent.
There was an awkward silence. They couldn't admit that Sierra was locked while the season was going on and didn't have a chance to watch it yet.
"It wasn't so obvious when you watch it without context DJ. You say that because you, as in Mihtâtamowin resort, talked with other competitors," explained Cody, making a nervous smile.
"Really? Now that you mention it, it could be. It can even be my wishful thinking," said the Jamaican guy, with a thoughtful expression.
Sierra then ignored DJ and turned to Duncan. "Does that mean that there is a chance for Duncney to come back?"
"No comments," replied Duncan, winking, leaving a disappointed Sierra. But in fact, the delinquent didn't know the answer to her question. It depended solely on Courtney.
Blaineley gave a dirty glare at the bleachers. Then she stood up, watching straight at the camera with a kinder expression. "So there you have it, now start voting. There are less than 24 hours before the finale. Your vote could be the decisive one."
"And thanks to everyone who supported the show so far. Thanks to the staff, interns, the Mihtâtamowin Yikâwiskâhk resort, the government of British Columbia, the peanut gallery, and of course you, our viewers at home," said LeShawna, making a flirtatious wink.
"Don't forget to watch the finale of the show. Tomorrow we'll find out who is the second finalist and be the witness of the challenge that you, our viewers, choose as the method that will decide the winner of the million-dollar prize," said Harold adjusting his glasses.
Blanieley then sent a kiss to the camera, "*smack* And remember to vote, this is the last chance you can do it in this season because this time you're the masters of this season. Thanks for joining LeShawna, Harold, and me, and see you on another occasion, Goodbye."
The diva stood up and hugged LeShawna and Harold as the closing sequence of the show started. If her feelings were real or just a marketing stunt, only Blaineley knew.
The Aftermath was over. After 6 weeks, 24 challenges, and 21 contestants eliminated, it was time for the grand finale.
