Our Time
"This is our time..."
"Where are the others?" she asked, meaning, of course, the other Lokis - the many other Lokis.
"Still throttling each other to death."
"Sounds about right." She gestured to a nearby log. "Shall we."
"Thank you." They sat down next to each other, slightly uncomfortably, but also comfortably at the same time, sitting close, their legs touching, their arms brushing.
Sigyn winced as she unwrapped the bloody cloth, that looked like it had hastily been wrapped around the wound with little care, and inspected the wound itself. "Yikes, of all the battle wounds I've seen, this one is pretty nasty."
"Agreed." Loki waved his hand, his other hand, and a fresh new cloth appeared in his palm in a flash of his green and gold magic. "Here, you might need this."
"Ah, thank you." She took the offered cloth, tossing aside the used bloody one. She waved her own hand before placing it against the ground, and a purple flower grew up out of the grass in a flash of her own magic, blue and gold. She plucked the flower and removed one of the petals, pressing it against his wound, soothing it. "So, what's your story, Loki?" she asked him as she continued to tend to his bloody wrist.
He was staring at her, intently and tenderly, with such a soft tenderness. "I lost everything. I lost you."
Her head snapped up to look at him.
He heaved a heavy sigh and began to explain. The words caused him a great amount of discomfort to relay. "When Thanos attacked our ship, while we were on our way to Earth following Ragnarok, you took on an illusion of me, and he killed you, thinking it was me. I then went on a vengeance, and the TVA soon caught up with me."
"Oh..." She absorbed this, his words, a confession. His reaction when first seeing her now made a lot more sense. She barely registered that he had just confessed her death. "In my timeline, it's you who dies then, Thanos killing you because you failed him before."
"Sounds about right."
"I didn't realize our timelines lined up so closely..."
"Yes, they break away at the same point, just with opposite outcomes. We still lose each other, in the end, no matter which one." His gaze locked upon her. "I thought I lost you."
"And I thought I lost you too, again." They stared silently at each other for a long, lingering moment. "So you're a Loki without a Sigyn, and I'm a Sigyn without a Loki..."
He nodded. "So it would seem."
She met his intense gaze. "Loki-"
"Sigyn-"
Both leaned in with equal fervor, and met in a kiss, and were soon joined in a passionate embrace.
"There you are-"
"AH!" Both instantly sprang apart and jumped as a figure appeared directly beside them - well, half a figure, sticking out of a swirling orange portal.
Master Strange once again, his faithful red cloak, which had quite an attitude of its own, tucked neatly around his shoulders.
"You!" cried Loki.
"What the Hel are you doing here?" Sigyn demanded of the wizard.
"Just checking up on you and your progress."
"Our 'progress'?"
"Yes, progress. Everything is happening just as it should I see, and right on schedule too." He glanced at the fancy watch adorning his wrist.
"Oh no, I'm sick and tired of hearing people talking about what 'should and shouldn't happen'," she cried. "I've had enough!"
"But this is what is meant to happen, in the one out of fourteen million six hundred and five outcomes I saw. Remember, this is all leading up to an exact, precise moment. It's a fine line we're walking, very fine."
"Right... well, glad we're on the right track then."
"Yes, keep up the good work." He flashed them a thumbs up. "See you in eleven years!" And with that he disappeared, cloak, portal and all.
"Does he always do that?" Loki asked.
She shrugged. "Seems like it, yeah." She glanced around. "Well, what now?"
"Now, I think this is our time. It is our time..."
"Our time, I like that."
"Me too."
"It's about damn time."
"Yes, yes it is."
They shared a chuckle.
"So, what do you want to do first?" she asked.
"I'm not really sure - although, maybe it's best we finish addressing my wound."
"Oh, yes, right, sorry-" She wrapped the new cloth around the soothed wound. Once all wrapped up, she pressed a kiss to it. "All right, now what?"
He smiled, squeezing her hand with his other one. "Good question, My Love. The possibilities are quite endless."
She snuggled close to him. "They are, aren't they. Quite endless indeed."
Definitely wanted to see some more President Loki in the show, so here we go! ;)
Well, there we are, we've reached the end :) That's it for now, but who knows, I may continue the Loki and Sigyn adventures once Season 2 comes out! And I still have my Mobius story on the go!
Once again, thank you all so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed overall! :) Farewell!
