Another Saiyan?! A New Plan!

Despite Vegeta being ready to burst at the seams with questions, he keeps himself quiet. His eyes focus on the young, red-haired girl's actions and demeanour. As the Prince of all saiyans, he is well versed in the behavior and attitudes of saiyan's no matter how strange they look or act. It's how he was able to determine Kakarot as being a saiyan, despite his lack of tail and strange attitude. It's also how he was able to determine the fact that Zamasu ISN'T a saiyan, no matter what the faker says. He may have saiyan genes, but he lacks the instinct of a true saiyan.

Keeping his thoughts to himself, Vegeta is very surprised at what he is reading from the girl. They are crossing the plains outside the city and toward the run-down buildings off in the distance. No flight, no vehicles. Just walking. It's nice, but Vegeta is more focused on his findings on the girl. She's not a saiyan, but also a saiyan, at the same time?!

Vegeta just doesn't know what to think about this. He's never seen such a strange mixture of saiyan and not saiyan in one person before. Although, he did get a little bit of it with Kakarot's son. Could it be?

As Vegeta dives into his own thoughts, the young saiyan girl continues talking animatedly to the young Herian girl next to her. "Can you believe it Cheelai?! We actually found some more saiyans! This is awesome!"

The young, green-skinned girl, Cheelai, grins widely and nods. "Yeah! It's what you've always wanted! Think they can help you with your problems?!"

Suddenly, a hand covers her mouth. The saiyan girl hisses, "Not now! Shush, no more of that, ok?" Cheelai nods, reluctantly, and the saiyan removes her hand.

Cheelai looks around, then says, "Toga, do you think Saigo will let them in? He is very careful about this stuff."

The saiyan girl, Toga, shrugs. "No clue. Hey! Guy with one earring!" "Zamasu, if you may." "Ok, Zamasu! Are you guys evil? Kill anybody?"

Zamasu frowns. "No. We are not 'evil'. Vegeta is uncertain, but I am more than enough to subdue him." Zamasu looks at Vegeta and is surprised to see the prince not paying attention. Dismissing it, for now, Zamasu continues, "And the only person I killed is Frieza." At least, in this timeline, he thinks to himself.

Toga and Cheelai's eyes widen immensely and they look at each other. Cheelai gives Toga a firm gaze, showing amazing authority for what looks like a twelve-year-old. Toga grits her teeth, then sighs and nods. "Later though, ok?" Cheelai puffs her cheeks out, then nods. Zamasu watches with confusion, wondering what the interaction was for.

Then, Toga yelps as she feels something grab her tail. Goku looks at it in surprise, exclaiming, "Woah! I just noticed your tail! Are you a saiyan?!"

Toga, a deep blush on her face, grabs her tail and pulls it away from Goku. She angrily says, "No, I'm a proud Hera Warrior!" Then, she mutters softly, "But I'm also a saiyan, yes…"

"AHA!" Everyone turns to Vegeta as he suddenly shouts. He points to Toga and says, "Yes, that's why I can't tell! You are a Hera-Saiyan hybrid!"

Toga blinks, ignoring the questioning looks of Zamasu and Goku, and says, "Yeah, I am. How'd you figure that out?"

Vegeta goes to cross his arms, but his chest wound gives him a painful reminder of its presence, and he settles for putting his hands on his hips. "I am Vegeta, Prince of the saiyans. I am unmatched in recognizing a saiyan. You are both not a saiyan and a saiyan at the same time. Being a hybrid is the only explanation."

Toga looks up, thinking about the response. "Huh. Makes sense." Then, her eyes widen immensely. "Wait, did you say Vegeta?!" When the prince nods slowly, suddenly suspicious, the girl squeals and yells, "OHMYGOSH! Prince Vegeta! I always wanted to meet you! My father said so many awesome things about your power!"

Vegeta blinks in confusion as the girl continues. "Oh, you really are just like he described you! Amazing! You must be so strong!" Despite the praise, Vegeta is just confused.

Eventually, after the girl accidentally nugs his chest and gives him a spark of pain, Vegeta growls in annoyance and pushes her away. "Stop that! That's no way for a saiyan to behave!"

Toga tries to push against the prince, but even in his injured state, he is much stronger than her. She gives up with a sigh and nods. "Ok. But one last thing!" When Vegeta raises an eyebrow for her to continue, Toga looks down and mutters, "Can you… train me?"

Before answering, Vegeta takes the time to use his ki sense to its max. What is this girl's potential? Surely the mixture of a saiyan and a Hera warrior would bring upon amazing… results…

Vegeta has to pause as he feels this girl's potential. His eyes widen momentarily, but he quickly blanks his face. Then, despite hearing her request, Vegeta says, "What was that?!"

Toga jumps, surprised, then says a little louder, "Can you train me?"

Vegeta smirks and says, "Louder, and with pride!"

Toga closes her eyes and yells, "MAY YOU PLEASE TRAIN ME, PRINCE VEGETA!"

Silence falls, everyone looking at the girl in surprise. Everyone but Vegeta. The Prince grins and walks past her. "There. No pupil of mine will be submissive."

Toga blinks in surprise and watches as Vegeta walks away, Goku and Zamasu following the prince. Toga looks at Cheelai, who looks at her with a smug grin. Cheelai gives the older girl a nod, which makes Toga grin widely. "YES! Prince Vegeta is going to train me!"

Meanwhile, Zamasu steps in line with Vegeta, hands behind his back, and says, "Surprising, Vegeta. Of all the things you could've done, accepting her as a pupil was not one I expected."

Vegeta, his arms twitching and him wanting desperately to cross his arms, scoffs and says, "I am the Prince. Of course I will train her. She is one of the few remaining saiyans. She must be trained to become strong."

The prince looks at Zamasu and sees the kai smirking. Goku is next to him, grinning smugly, strange for the saiyan, but it seems he understands why Zamasu is smirking. Vegeta sputters a bit and yells, "Stop that! Why do you two look so smug?!" Goku grins widely as Zamasu's smirk widens.

Vegeta tsks and looks away, a tiny hint of red on his cheeks, and he quickly walks forward. The other two saiyans watch with knowing grins and follow. Then, Toga and Cheelai run ahead of the two and Vegeta, making the three saiyans realize that they are just outside of the run-down town. A large wall surrounds the buildings, blocking the view of the inside, but the tops of the buildings are easily visible. Two guards stand at the town's gates, and both of them turn to see Cheelai and Toga running toward them.

One of the guards, a Hera by his green skin and white hair, grins and says, "Cheelai! Toga! Nice to you! Got some goods for the town?"

Cheelai grins widely and replies, "Nope! But we do have visitors!"

The Hera guard looks up and finally notices the three saiyans. His eyes pass over Goku and Zamasu easily, but he stops on Vegeta. His eyes widen and he stutters, "I-Is that… P-Prince Vegeta of the Saiyan race?!"

Toga nods. "Yep! And he's gonna train me!"

The other guard, an unknown humanoid race, given by his red skin and blue hair, scoffs and says, "Yeah right. With those bandages, he looks ready to fall down the second someone breathes on him."

Then, without warning, the guard finds himself face to face with the prince. Realizing he never even saw the prince move, the guard steps back in surprise and slight fear. Vegeta smirks and says, "Good. Be afraid. And don't underestimate me again." Vegeta walks back to the other two saiyans, one of which is shaking his head in exasperation.

The Hera guard sees the exchange, then says, "Oh man! Ok, I gotta inform Saigo! He needs to know about this!" With that said, the guard jumps up and lands on the wall, surprising the three saiyans, who thought this guard is just a civilian with weapon training. The Hera guard then yells, "HEY! SAIGO! WE HAVE VISITORS! GET YOUR FAT ASS DOWN HERE!" And with that, the guard jumps back to the ground. Realizing that the saiyans are still looking at him in confusion, he says, "What? Normal people can use ki too, you know"

"Alright! Who has the balls to scream at me from the gates," yells a deep, gruff voice. Suddenly, another Hera appears on the wall. He is short and chubby, and on his face is a large, bushy beard and mustache. The man's piercing green eyes stare at the group, then he rumbles, "Well now! Saiyans! A welcome surprise during these times. Come on in, come on in!"

Accepting the invitation, the three saiyans jump up onto the wall. Toga grabs Cheelai and jumps up as well, showing that she at least has a basic knowledge of ki manipulation. Saigo looks at them, nodding, then back to the ground. He cups his hands around his mouth and yells, "AND YOU! LUCIAN! YOU'RE COMING WITH US AS PUNISHMENT FOR CALLING ME FAT!"

"I can hear you, old man! Stop yelling!" Saigo shakes with deep, boisterous laughter as the Hera guard, Lucian, jumps up the wall and joins the group. Saigo looks at them and says, "Come on, we have much to discuss. Just follow me to my hut and we can talk."

The group jumps down from the wall, or at least, Saigo has to run down a staircase in order to get down. Then, they begin traversing through the beat-up town. The saiyans look around, curiosity shining in their eyes, as their gazes wander.

All the buildings look to be haphazardly made, various materials making up the walls and roofs of each building. Some metal here, some wood there, each building looks like patchwork. The people themselves seem to be mostly foreigners, but some Heras are seen on the streets. None of them seem to be upset, most of them even seeing joyous, a strange sight in such an impoverished town.

Eventually, after moving through the twists and turns of the town's streets, they end up at a building bigger than most of the others. Saigo opens the door and says, "Come on in, come on in! Sit down, make yourselves comfortable."

The inside of the building is a stark contrast to the outside. The entrance room seems to be well furnished, with exquisite carpets and curtains, along with comfy couches and chairs. A big table, big enough to hold ten people, sits to the left. Zamasu takes it all in with suspicion as the others of the group sit down on the comfortable couches. The kai decides to make his suspicions known and says, "You seem to have a lot of valuable comforts here. Strange, in such a poor town."

Saigo chuckles a bit as he sits in a big, red armchair that is near a fireplace. "Well, I wish it wasn't the case. However, each time somebody finds some sort of comfy couch or a soft chair, they give it to me. I think it's thanks for helping the town, but I don't do much. Most people won't accept me saying no though, so I take the items and let everyone visit! I can give people comfort when they need it."

Zamasu nods and sits down. "A virtuous goal. I apologize for having suspicions."

Saigo laughs loudly and exclaims, "No need! I know a lot of people would be suspicious the first time they see it! Especially considering how many times the people who run poor places like this hog all the good stuff! I know, I watch a lot of movies!" Saigo grins widely as Cheelai giggles madly.

Zamasu lets a small smirk form on his face. "You are very charismatic, Saigo. A very good trait to have."

Saigo grins. "And you are quite the gentleman, Mr…" "Zamasu, please." "Ah, yes. Zamasu."

The old Hera then exclaims, "Oh, that reminds me! We need introductions!"

Zamasu nods, understanding. "Very well. These are my companions, Prince Vegeta of the saiyan race, and Son Goku, a saiyan raised on Planet Earth." Accepting the introductions, both mentioned saiyans nod.

Saigo looks at them in interest, his hand rubbing his beard subconsciously. "Hm. Prince Vegeta and Son Goku. Two saiyans. And am I correct to assume you are a saiyan as well, Zamasu?" Receiving a nod, Saigo nods to himself. "Yes. You three would be a great help."

Zamasu raises an eyebrow in confusion. "Help? Help with what?"

Saigo looks up, then sighs. "Ah, right, offworlders. You wouldn't know."

The old man then explains, "You see, we've been trying to get back at Frieza for a while for taking over the planet. However, some of us were booted from the city because of our ties with Frieza or for assisting in a mission once. Not even the children were spared, the city fearing them to be 'tainted'. Damn bastards." Cheelai looks down sadly, and Toga rubs her back to help comfort her. Saigo sighs, then continues, "Anyways, we still need to get back at Frieza. However, we found out recently that he is dead, but the city officials refuse to believe it! The city has been gunning to take down Frieza, and now I have reason to believe that the higher-ups may be sucking up to the Frieza empire to save their own skin!"

Saigo stands and proudly proclaims, "I won't stand by and let my race and those who took refuge on our humble planet be killed by some snobby, money-grubbing assholes!" Cheelai and Toga clap and cheer, while Lucian just grins and shakes his head.

Realizing the display he put on, Saigo coughs, a bit embarrassed, and sits back down. "Ahem… Anyway, that's the gist of our situation. Now you three, you three are strong! You could help us replace those Frieza-loving bastards and get the city back on track!"

Zamasu nods in understanding. "Hm. You seem to have a virtuous goal. However, we do need assistance of our own."

Saigo raises an eyebrow in confusion and curiosity, so Zamasu continues. "We were taken captive by the city's police force due to using Frieza's abandoned ship. They believe us to be a part of Frieza's army. So, we need to find the ship. However, we can't use ki in the city, according to Vegeta."

The old man glances at the prince, then says, "Yes, using ki in that city would get you killed in an instant. I can see your problem." Saigo hums to himself, thinking. Then, he nods. "Yes, yes, that could work. Alright, let's make a deal!"

Saigo grins and says, "You help me with some tasks, and we'll help locate your ship! Your time here is as long as it takes for us to find the ship!"

The saiyans look between each other, considering the offer. Vegeta glances at Toga, then says, "We accept your conditions."

Saigo grins even wider and proclaims, "I thank you for your assistance then, prince! And your allies! You are doing great justice for the Hera race!"

"Hey, um," Goku mutters. "I keep hearing 'Hera' and 'Hera warriors'. Why is that?"

Saigo looks at Goku, confused. "You are a saiyan, correct? A lot of Hera warriors battled saiyans before Frieza."

Goku chuckles sheepishly. "I, uh, wasn't raised with other saiyans. I was raised on planet Earth, so I have no clue what other saiyans know!"

This makes the old man nod in understanding. "I see. Alright, so, the Hera are the native people of this planet, planet Hera. You can tell because we all have one of two shades of skin and one of two hair colors."

He raises a finger and points at his hair. "I am what's called a Hera Inquisitor. You can tell by my bright green skin and white hair. Inquisitors are more in tune with technology and facts, able to create new machines and come up with new ideas. Our brains are just as powerful as the Warriors' brawn."

"Speaking of which, the other group making up the Heras are the Hera Warriors. They often have teal skin, a kind of blue-green, and have bright orange hair. They are very powerful physically and have an innate proficiency with ki, similar to the saiyans. Also, those who are strong enough have a transformation that can rival Frieza's second form. In this transformed state, the warriors gain the bright green skin tone that the Inquisitors have, but their hair is bright red. They are extremely powerful in this state, and only another warrior can bring them down."

Saigo sighs, suddenly looking quite melancholic. "Sadly, almost all of the warrior Heras were killed when Frieza took over. Only two main groups survived, to my knowledge. Two groups of space pirates: those aboard the Warrior's Memory, led by the humble Kenyo, and the Galaxy Soldiers, led by the arrogant Bojack. Luckily, Bojack's group disappeared long ago after they began terrorizing many galaxies. However, we have had no word from Kenyo for years, and I am worried I may have to consider the Hera Warriors… extinct."

Goku looks down sadly and Vegeta closes his eyes in respect. Zamasu closes his eyes and raises his head. "Chronoa-sama. May I request the locations of Kenyo and Bojack, the Hera Warriors?"

Zamasu feels the Supreme Kai enter his mind. "And what makes you think I'd do that?"

"...I can be a good kai?"

Chronoa giggles in delight. "Oh, alright. Here you go! Have fun!"

The Supreme Kai of Time departs from his psyche, and Zamasu realizes that he suddenly knows where the two warriors are. "I believe I know where Bojack and Kenyo are located."

All of the Hera present look at Zamasu in surprise. Saigo leans back and says, "Really? And where are they?"

Zamasu closes his eyes, calling upon the information Chronoa gave him. "Bojack and his crew are currently sealed within a star, held stable by the four homeworlds of the four Cardinal Kais. Kenyo and his crew are in deep space, unmoving. He is near a planet that is, according to Frieza's information, called planet Vampa. I fear he may have been attacked. If we can get our ship, we can use the logs to find planet Vampa and then find Kenyo and the Warrior's Memory."

Cheelai looks at Zamasu in awe. "Woooow! You figured all that out?! So cool!" Toga nods, stars in both of the girls' eyes.

Lucian looks up, his eyes closed, a small smile on his face. "Kenyo can be found. Amazing!"

Saigo nods in agreement. "It truly is. Well, this gives us even more of an incentive to find your ship. Toga, lead the prince to the infirmary." The saiyan-Hera nods and tries to help Vegeta rise. He refuses the assistance and gets up himself. Despite the rude dismissal of the girl's help, Toga leaves the room with a grin, Vegeta right behind her.

Saigo then looks at the young Hera girl and says, "Cheelai, show Son Goku and Zamasu to the guest rooms in my house. I need to discuss things with Lucian." Nodding quietly, Cheelai turns to the saiyans and says, "Come on, I can show you the guest rooms!" Accepting the help, the two saiyans follow Cheelai into the house.

As they go, they can hear Lucian and Saigo begin yelling and throwing insults at each other. The 'argument' devolves into boisterous laughter that makes Cheelai giggle. Goku grins and Zamasu sighs in exasperation. Mortals can be so strange and tedious to understand.

The kai finds that very intriguing.

The book closes and Chronoa giggles to herself. "Wow, Zamasu! Wanting your own adventures already? You learn so fast!"

The Supreme Kai sets the book down to the side and says, "No news today. It's been a very calm week for the author."

The Kai stands and stretches. She pauses and mutters, "I wonder, would Zamasu want to see the Time Nest?"

Realizing that there are still readers present, Chronoa grins sheepishly and says, "U-Um... anyways! Thanks for reading! We hope you enjoy these new coming arcs! Call this one the Hera Saga! And please, leave a review! We'd love to hear your opinions on this new arc idea. Thanks again!"
