A few weeks had now gone and passed since Regina and Emma had told each other they loved one another. It was just a bliss-full few weeks. Everything started feeling like they were falling slowly into place for Emma. She had a girlfriend and that girlfriend was Regina. She was the most beautiful woman in the world to Emma. She couldn't think of her other half being anyone else.
Today was a Monday and Emma had to get ready for job training today. Regina had texted her yesterday telling her she had good news to share with her today once she was finished with her Looking Glass Class today. Emma couldn't wait to find out what it was. She knew Regina was going to be on her way to pick her up soon so she needed to hurry up and take a shower and get dressed.
As Emma hopped in the shower, this was the first time in a long time that Emma didn't need to touch herself between her legs. Regina and Emma had been making love to each other almost every night over the phone, as they touched themselves, until they got to see each other over the weekend. Which was when they both had free time to go out on real dates and spend time together. After these they always went back to Regina's place,where they had actual alone time and privacy to do some love making after a fun date, as well sleep overs. Emma always stayed over at Regina's place, because Emma loved being away from her mother while with Regina for one simple reason;Melony always loved to annoy both women when they were about to make love when they were at Emma's place. Almost as if Melony was warning them not to do it there and to go somewhere else. Emma always hated that, but she understood it as well.
After Emma had finished showering, she put on her usual Project Looking Glass uniform and put her lunch in the bag that Regina had given her to put all her stuff in, so she could carry everything in one place, instead of having to carry her lunch to work every morning in a separate bag, as well as her purse. This seemed so much more easier for Emma. There was also room to put her own knife set, like Regina, if she ever was willing to buy her own set instead of using the knife set already available at the hotel's kitchen. Most of those knifes were a little big for her to handle, but she could work with them just handy dandy fine. Yet, it did make Emma think real hard about buying her own knife set if Regina hired her soon.
Once Emma was all ready to go, her phone buzzed with a text message.
"I'm here. Come on out when your ready!"
Emma smiled as she replied.
"How are you always just on time? I'm coming out now!"
"Well maybe it's our fate? Or maybe it's because I know how long you take after your alarm goes off."
"Oh I see. Being all smart and all lol"
After sending that last text, Emma then came walking out of her house and walked up to Regina's car to get in. Once she was all seat belted in, she looked at Regina and smiled as Regina leaned in to kiss her, like she's done every morning now since the night they said those three words. As they broke the kiss, they smiled and looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds before Emma finally spoke.
"So, about that good news. Why can't you just tell me now?"
"Well because that will ruin it!"
"It HAS to be told to me while at job training?"
"Yes! Sorry honey but you'll understand why once I tell you!"
Emma just gave that annoyed face as if she was too impatient to wait.
"That face won't work on me Emma. You'll find out soon enough!"
"Ugh, fine."
Emma still felt pretty impatient the whole drive to the hotel. No matter how much small talk they had, Emma still tried to pry the good news out of Regina without any luck whatsoever. Once they finally got to the hotel, they both got out of the car and walked into the hotel. Emma had to go to her morning Project Looking Glass class and she so did not want to be there. They were going to go over how to make their resumes again. Emma finished her resume faster than anyone else in the previous class they went over this, so the whole time Emma just kept going over what she had already done to make sure it looked good and didn't need any further adjustments. It was very boring for her since her resume was perfectly fine. Therefore, Emma didn't start walking off to class until Regina came out of view again as she walked off into the kitchen like always.
As Emma arrived to her morning class, Snow and Kathryn were smiling at Emma and took her aside from all the other students there.
"Emma, you no longer need to be in this class. Go straight to the kitchen and you'll understand why once you get there. Have a nice day Emma and don't forget to smile!" said Kathryn.
Emma felt pretty curious now as to what the heck was going on. She didn't understand why she no longer needed to be in the morning class. "What changed?" she thought to herself as she then slowly walked off out of the room and made her way into the kitchen where Regina was. She literally had no idea what was going on. Did Regina know she no longer needed to be in her morning class? Was this the big news she wanted to tell her? Emma was so lost in her thoughts right now as she made her way to Regina's chef office.
Regina was just sitting at her computer desk going through her bag of things as Emma came walking in.
"Okay Regina, what's going on? I apparently no longer need to be in my Project Looking Glass class anymore. Was that the good news you wanted to tell me?"
Regina then looked up to Emma and smiled as she then pulled a red chef coat with black pants and then got up from her chair and walked closer to Emma.
"These are for you! Welcome aboard!"
"Wait, what? I'm confused here!"
Regina just laughed in a way that made Emma even more confused.
"Emma, don't you see what's going on now? I'm hiring you as my cook to work with me by my side. Your first official day of work to making a real paycheck starts today."
"Wait, seriously? You're actually hiring me? That makes so much more sense now as to why I no longer need to be in class. I am so excited and happy. Thank you Regina!"
Emma was so happy that she didn't even realize that she just kissed Regina right then and there. They always had kept their relationship pretty secret and acted professional when at work,but Emma was so over joyed that she kissed Regina without thinking and to her surprise, Regina kissed her back without a care in the world. Once the kiss wound down slowly, they just smiled at each other. For a few moments, they didn't realize that another co worker had just saw them kiss as they were passing by to get started on their shift. Once they finally realized they had just been seen kissing, Emma freaked out a little bit thinking Regina might be mad at her for kissing her without thinking even if she kissed her back.
"Oh my gosh Regina, we just kissed in front of another one of our co-workers!"
Regina then cupped Emma's face and kissed her again to calm her down and once Emma felt calm, Regina broke the kiss.
"It's alright Emma. Now that you're my co-worker, we can have a public relationship. It doesn't matter who knows now. All you have to do now is go get changed into these chef pants and chef coat and come back here to my office to fill out some paperwork to make this official. We also both need to fill out a form regarding our relationship and then give it to HR. It's just procedure! It has to be done!"
"Oh my gosh Regina! Really? God I love you!"
"I love you too Emma!"
Emma then hurried to the looker room to change and came back to fill out the needed paperwork. Once done, both Regina and Emma officially started working. About two weeks later, word spread around about Emma and Regina's relationship across the hotel staff and evidently word got around to Kathryn and Snow.
One day when Emma and Regina had come into work, Regina went straight into the kitchen as Emma went straight to the bathroom. She couldn't seem to hold it any longer. She drank a whole bottle of water the whole ride there and now she had regretted it. As Emma walked in the bathroom and started to release herself from all the water she drank, she heard Kathryn and Snow walk into the bathroom talking to one another about her and Regina. Emma quietly finished peeing and wiped but never flushed so no noise would be heard as she then continued to listen to what was being said.
"I can't believe Emma and Regina are actually a couple. I wonder if that's how she got hired in the first place!" said Kathryn.
"Oh my! I know, right? Even the thought of both of them kissing makes me sick to my stomach! Women with women are sinning in God's eyes. It's supposed to be a man and woman's world. God never made Adam and Steve. He made Adam and Eve!"
"You're telling me! I totally agree with you! Even the thought of two women having sex or even if for them it's making love to each other, it grosses me out. How can another woman eat out another woman? I just don't understand it!"
"I still think that's how she got the job here in the first place. She fucked around with Regina and now Regina rewarded her with a job and here I thought Emma was so sweet and innocent!Boy was I wrong!" said Snow.
Emma was now in tears in the bathroom stall. She then decided to make her appearance known. She flushed the toilet and walked out of the bathroom stall and quickly washed her hands with tears streaming down her face. Snow and Kathryn looked so stunned and shocked to see Emma come walking out of the bathroom stall. They said nothing more after that and kept their mouths shut. After Emma was done washing her hands, she quickly ran out of the bathroom and into the kitchen where Regina was sitting in her office.
"Emma? What's wrong? What happened?"
Emma could barely form any words. Her heart felt so broken and shattered. What Kathryn and Snow had said just kept repeating in the back of her mind. Emma just stood there for a few minutes and cried in Regina's arms and Emma could feel Regina hold her tightly as she kissed her forehead, trying to calm her down. Once Emma finally calmed down enough, she was able to tell Regina exactly what Kathryn and Snow had said as she overheard them in the bathroom stall and how they just stared at her saying nothing as she walked out of the stall.
Regina then became furious and angry. Hearing such words come out of a person's mouth especially in the hotel that her parents owned was not okay in any way. Though, seeing Emma so heartbroken was what made Regina stay calm despite feeling heartbroken from seeing Emma this way. But she knew she had to stay calm and collected to be able to support Emma and reassure her in such circumstances.
"Emma, you know I didn't hire you because you had sex with me or that we're together. I hired you because you're an amazing worker and you do your job well in here! Our relationship was just a big plus. The way we connected was amazing. It was almost as if we were meant to be together! Do you hear me! Never ever think otherwise! I love you for you and I always will!"
"I love you too Regina. I will always love you too, but hearing those awful hurtful words on how our love is against God just broke my heart. How can our love be against God? I don't understand!"
Regina then stroked Emma's hair as she started tearing up.
"Emma, our love is not wrong in God's eyes. Some people believe it is because they don't see how a woman could ever fall in love with another woman, but I need to tell you this right now Emma, there is nothing in the bible or in ANY religion saying that same sex love is a sin. In fact, the bible only says over and over again that Jesus died for our sins. So no matter how much we sin, we will still all go to Heaven. No matter what. As long as we are GOOD people!"
"Really? I never read the bible because I never understood it!"
"Yes, really! Some people just don't understand same sex love and that's on them. Not on us. The only thing that we need to understand Emma is that we love each other and nothing should ever stand in the middle of that!"
Emma then slowly stopped crying and kissed Regina passionately. As they kissed, Emma could feel all her sadness fade away into nothing. The kiss brought only pure happiness into Emma's heart and truthfully that was the only thing Emma needed at the moment.
About a week later, Emma noticed that Snow and Kathryn were no longer there. Two different job coaches took Snow and Kathryn's place. She didn't get their names but she could definitely tell that Snow and Kathryn were no longer there and they were gone for good. Emma noticed these two new people teaching the Project Looking Glass class one morning as she passed by the classroom door on her way to and from the bathroom. Emma figured that Regina made some calls and word spread around to where Snow and Kathryn lost their jobs for being homophobic and Emma could care less. After what they had said in that bathroom that one morning, Emma never wanted to see their faces again and now she no longer had to.
As Emma and Regina became closer and closer as the weeks and months went by, Emma eventually moved in with Regina and in the end, Emma couldn't see herself anywhere else. She could see her whole life with Regina and she loved every minute of it. Emma's mother was so supportive of their relationship that she even bought Emma a few lesbian movies that she could watch with Regina after she had moved in with her and of course, that is exactly what Emma had done.
The very first night Emma spent with Regina after moving in, they watched one of the lesbian movies her mother bought for them and then went to bed after making love to one another. Emma held Regina close that night wanting nothing else in the world but this. Life was perfect and Emma couldn't see it getting any better than this as she kissed Regina good night with their naked bodies touching as they fell asleep.

I hope you liked my story. I put only some of my own life into this story. I do honestly have a friend named Hope who has mild Down syndrome. I also was in a real life job training program for special needs people just like in the story. Only it is called Project Search. I had to change the name for it in my story for obvious reasons. The whole love story was obviously made up. I made it up as I wrote although the homophobia I put in there because I have a few family members who think like this and it made me feel very much depressed. I've finally come to terms that who I am is just another one of God's perfect creations and that he makes no mistakes. There is nothing wrong with being LGBT. Nothing. If this triggered anyone then I'm sorry. I felt the need to add it without putting archived warnings because I wanted people to understand how it feels when someone is emotionally abused by someone they thought they could trust just by being who they are.
