Blow the Horn

"Mum hasn't dressed like this since before the war." Susan said softly looking at the water.

"We should bring her one back! A whole trunk full! " Lucy said excitedly.

"If we ever get back." Lucy's face falls. Susan noticed it immediately and looked at her younger sister.

"I'm sorry I'm like that." Susan said softly.

"We used to have fun together didn't we?" Susan asked her little sister smiling.

"Yeah, before you got boring." Lucy laughed.

"Oh really?" Susan smiled and bent down to splash water at Lucy. Lucy splashed water back at her making Su gasp. They smiled and giggled like they were having fun just like they used to.

After a few moments, Susan and Lucy stepped out of the shallow water as the older Pevensie grabbed her towel still smiling. In the towel's place was a wolf. Maugrim. The Secret Police. The White Witch's follower.

"Please don't try to run, we're tired and prefer to kill you quickly." Maugrim advanced closer and closer. Lucy and Susan both look at the horn nearby both knowing of what they should do.

Susan smacked the wolf with the towel, her heart beating faster than ever. Lucy ran to a tree trying to climb it as fast as she can - while Susan grabs the horn with the lion engraving. The young girl climbed the tree, throwing it to her younger sister saying, "Blow the horn! Blow the horn, Lucy! Lucy!"

She blew as hard as she could, three or two times. Susan's legs dangled trying to kick at Maugrim who was growling and trying to snap her limbs off. Was Peter or Edmund or anyone going to save them? Susan heard her younger sister shriek again as Maugrim nearly snapped Susan's foot off. We'll be okay. We'll be okay. Susan told herself. Be brave for Lucy.

And then Peter came - Peter! - showing that blowing the horn actually did work.

I have always wanted to write down this moment from the movie. Its a really interesting moment between Lucy and Su. - I really had to get this out of my system, ya know? - I have *always* wanted to see more Ed and Susan stories but anyway, I hope you liked it and please comment or vote! :) And the next one shot will be longer! - Nessa
