Follow the Light Part One

Edmund knew it was a stupid plan for them to go attack Miraz's castle. He just knew it. The only problem was his older brother who was the High King of Narnia and that Caspian dude. He loved his brother a lot but still, he could be so thick headed sometimes. He was extremely prideful about being the High King too. Edmund wasn't complaining how his brother had been reacting to Caspian taking the lead. After all, the high kings and queens of Narnia had left thousands of years ago or was it a few hundred? He didn't really care at the moment. He brushed the sweat off his cheek that had dripped down from his forehead with his sleeve. He was nervous. Super nervous.

Edmund only saw a chaotic fight between evil and good. It wasn't like the other battles he had gone through in Narnia. It was different. Darker, as if Aslan had not supported them on this decision. He had tried and so did Susan and also his little sister... hey had tried to get Peter to his normal self. Now he was just a prideful jerk. He had been cranky the whole time when they had been in England, as if he had lost hope in Aslan. He wasn't that loving, caring Peter he used to know. He missed that Peter. Edmund still loved his older brother so very much but it hurt. A lot.

He looked down and saw an archer going to shoot at Peter. It was almost like the time in the underground train. He had saved his brother's back again. Did he have to do it again? Edmund hardly thought about what he did next. He jumped and slid on the roof. It hurt, yes, it really really did. But it was exhilarating, thrilling really. It reminded him of the times he and Peter fought in battles together.

"EDMUND!" The shout sounded right when Edmund landed on top of the man who was trying to hurt Peter. He looked at Peter and back at what he was pointing at. He gasped and saw at least ten archers lined up, pointing their weapons at him.

"Oh." He scrambled to his feet and slammed the nearest door open. He ran inside and shut the door, breathing hard. Just like the good ole times in the Golden Age. He looked down, and noticed his leg was bleeding. Oh, well, it wasn't his fault. It looked like that an arrow had whizzed past his knee.

"Where is the King of Narnia's brother?" Miraz asked, his eyes narrowing.

"There sir!" He smirked and unsheathed his sword. He opened the door and saw the boy limping up the stairs.

"Well! Running are you!?" He heard the boy mutter something underneath his breath angrily, he turned around, pain in his features.

"Of course not, I was just taking a hike!" Miraz stepped closer to him, with a blank expression on his face. "What do you want?"

"I want you to die, Narnian!"

"I am not a Narnian! I am the King of Narnia." The dark haired boy took out his sword and prepared himself to battle Miraz.

"You cannot fight me, you are merely a boy."

Peter swallowed hard, wondering why Miraz had went into the room Edmund had just gone into. He ran his sword through one of Miraz's men and then he ran up the stairs to the room where Edmund had entered. He felt that his brother was in danger. He opened the door to see Miraz stabbing Edmund - right in the same spot where Jadis, the White Witch had stabbed him.

"EDMUND!" He screamed, anger soaring through his veins, making all his frustrations and everything that was bothering him to the surface.

"ED!" Miraz laughed as the High King's brother clutched his stomach and fell to the ground with a quiet groan.

"You! You'll pay for this, murderer!" Peter screamed, preparing to fight this insane man. "How DARE you!"

"He's dead, King! He's dead!" Lucy... he should have had Lucy's cordial with him. He should have listened to Susan and Lucy's reasoning. He had been so stupid.

And now Edmund was going to die. All because of him.
