One Piece Emperors New Clothes

Jimbe watched wide eyed and struggled to stand under the force of the two Conquerors clashing. A battle of wills and strength between Conquerors. Big Mom's Haki was out in full force and pressing down on everyone, and Jimbe noticed the Chess Soldiers had fainted already as had some of the younger kids which were quickly moved out of the room by the older unaffected ones.

Some of the Charlotte children that weren't effected though looked as if they wanted to jump in and help their mother but the oldest of the family seemed to realize the same thing Jimbe had and were holding the younger ones back.

This was a battle between conquerors. A battle between Big Mom's domineering control and desire for total conquest, and between Luffy's warm protective Haki and his desire to protect. (Jimbe was an older pirate had been on the seas for quite a while and he was a captain in his own right but he had never been a Conqueror. After all he never sought to Conqueror anything merely be free and help others be free much like his captain…but he had felt quite a few others use their Conqueror's Haki near or on him and they had all felt the same. A heavy weight trying to force him to submit and Big Mom's was no different but Luffy's- his captains. There was a blanket of warmth and safety and protectiveness around Jimbe and he knew it was his Captains Haki, the Haki of the man who would become Pirate King.)

This was a true Captains battle and the rest of them had no right to interfere as the two exchanged blows.

Spotting one of the younger ones, a lady bug like woman whose name he believed started with an F but he couldn't recall what it was, holding up her blow gun and aiming towards Luffy Jimbe sent a river of caramel at her from the waterfall of it that ran down the sides of the room.

"My name is Jimbe of the Straw Hat pirates. Let us not bother them shall we?" Jimbe asked shifting into his favored ready stance as he stared down the still conscious children of the soon to be dethroned Queen.

"Why you-" The now caramel soaked girl was glaring hatred at him before her sister, the female Sweet Commander Smoothie, grabbed her by the back of her shirt and held her back.

"We have no right to interfere in this Flambe! This is our mothers battle against a rival Conqueror." Smoothie snapped at her sister with a stern look.

"But why shouldn't we help destroy that stupid monkey!?" Flambe demanded and she sounded like she was whining, like a child who wasn't being given what they wanted.

"You're far too young to remember but there are unspoken but agreed upon rules for Pirates and especially the Captains. Most of the newer ones don't abide by it, but the fact that he's here alone and that Jimbe merely attacked you to keep you out of the fight means that Straw Hat is following those older unspoken rules." The third daughter, Jimbe knew her name to be Amande the one in charge of Nuts Island, said blowing out a puff of smoke from her cigarette. She was one of the oldest in the family, she remembered before they settled on Whole Cake Island and her mother became a queen.

She remembered being a child on her mothers pirate ship before they settled and remembered seeing her mothers battles and hearing of the old rules from the other older sailors.

"We're pirates! And he invaded our home and attacked our siblings and is now attacking our mother!? So why should we follow some stupid rules?" Flambe demanded and from Jimbe's rather small experience with children he could tell she would soon throw a 'temper tantrum' as they were called.

"Because he is! We might be pirates and the world might be cruel but there are still standards, peroin!" Perospero said giving his sister a stern and furious look while the battle waged on. The Charlottes were surprised at how well Luffy was holding his own, and shocked at how his blows did seem to be partially hurting their mother. After all both of the captains were sporting several bruises by now at the very least.

That was more injured than any of the children ever remembered their mother being before.

"Hachee, have Flambe taken to her room or somewhere else that's less likely to get damaged during the fight and make sure she stays there." Compote ordered her younger sister who nodded once and took Flambe from Smoothie before easily carting the girl away with one hand.

"So none of you shall interfere in this fight?" Jimbe asked with narrowed eyes as he stared at the Charlottes who shook their heads in the negative while Brulee came in from the same door as Luffy and was pulling Katakuri into the room as well.

Jimbe noticed the way Katakuri was watching the fight and he felt something in him soften. There was so much sheer hope and want in his eyes as he watched Luffy battle it out with Big Mom and ignore the rubber blasts from Zeus with ease.

"Straw Hat why isn't the lightning working on you?!" Big Mom demanded as she rode on the dark and stormy Zeus who was blasting lightning everywhere, uncaring of who she hit. Luckily most of her children and Jimbe were skilled enough to sense the incoming strikes and evade them.

"Because I'm Rubber!" Luffy roared back at her, and Jimbe noticed a few of the Charlotte women blinking a little before they blushed a bit, while Big Mom gaped at him in disbelief as if the thought never occurred to her.

Jimbe frowned slightly at that. Did Big Mom really think herself so infallible that she didn't even look into what abilities the ones attacking her possessed? Did she not hear from one of her children about how Luffy had beaten Cracker and decide to look into his powers that enabled him to defeat a Sweet Commander?

Big Mom truly was drunk off of her power and had grown complacent in her long reign of queen and Yonko. Something that was never good for a pirate.

The Charlottes gaped in disbelief when Luffy's now much larger Haki coated fist slammed into Big Mom's midsection and launched her clear off of Zeus and through the wall of the palace.

But Jimbe merely frowned as Zeus and Prometheus went after her to catch the falling Yonko and then Luffy jumped down as well.

Big Mom would surely be more wary of him and less arrogant now that he had managed to land a blow like that on her.

This fight was far from over and Jimbe followed the Charlotte siblings to the edge of the destroyed wall to see if they could keep up with the fighting down below.

It seemed Jimbe was the only one who noticed the Sunny coming towards the dock of the island right off hand but he knew that it wouldn't matter. The Straw Hats would not interfere with what was their captains fight.

The only thing that they might do was Nami stealing Zeus because she wanted it or maybe sneaking off to steal some treasure. The Navigator was definitely that kind of woman.
