One Piece Emperors New Clothes

Nobody was really sure when Nami had released some lightning balls to lure Zeus over to her, it wasn't like Mama was using him much right now since his lightning had no effect at all on Luffy. And honestly after seeing Prometheus and Napoleon both gang up and attack him when he pointed out how ineffective his attacks are against the straw hat captain none of the ones watching the fight could blame him.

The Big Mom pirates knew that each of their Mama's main companions were made using parts of her own soul and her emotions. Prometheus was her rage and anger, Napoleon was her calmness but also bloodthirst and Zeus? Zeus was made from Mama's fears and cowardice. And Mama hated being reminded of her fears so she had been harder and less tolerant of Zeus than she was of the other two but she had also known he was powerful and could end many pirates on his own when he fought so he was useful and she kept him around.

But her years of horrible treatment to the poor cloud, the cloud that some of the Charlotte family had fond memories of riding on or sleeping on when they were younger, had finally caused him to snap especially after he was attacked by the other two.

Sure Nami had fed him those thunder balls full of lightning and storms but he had been the one who ate them while still carrying Mama and by the look on his cloudy face he had known exactly what he was doing.

None of the Charlottes moved to stop either Nami or the cloud. After all while she did release the bubbles she did not outright make Zeus eat them nor was she going after Big Mom herself. It was still well within the old rules that the Charlottes were abiding by.

Once Zeus was full he zoomed right towards Luffy with a grin on his face while Mama had to recover her balance for a second, having been preparing an Ikoku Sovereignty before she laughed.

"Mamamama! Good Idea Zeus! Getting in closer means he has less time to dodge!" Big Mom said and Zeus gave a wide shit eating grin as he zoomed towards Luffy who's eyes glinted knowingly at the dark rumbling cloud.

Big Mom raised Napoleon again, ready to slash down on Luffy himself, but Luffy moved faster.

"WAH!" Big Mom screeched a bit in alarm and pain when Luffy ducked under and punched Zeus in what would be his belly and it caused the thunder cloud to release all of the stored up lightning, frying Big Mom and Napoleon both. Prometheus even yelped a bit in pain but Luffy of course was unaffected while the cloud shrunk down to his normal small size. Big Mom falling off of him and landing pretty hard on her ass as she took a few seconds to recover from the surprise electrocution, Zeus flying away and over towards Nami.

"Where do you think you're going Zeus?!" Prometheus roared at the other Homie who didn't even look back.

"Away from that abusive old hag!" Most of the Charlottes choked on nothing as they tried to hide their laughs at the clouds shout back before he was on the Straw Hat ship and being petted and cooed over by the Navigator.

"Zeus you traitor! I'll-" Big Mom stood back up and she looked furious before Luffy decked her in the face as soon as she turned to glare at the Sunny.

"Don't forget that I'm your opponent Big Mom!" Luffy said and Big Mom worked her jaw for a second as she fixed her beady red eyes on Luffy.

"Mugi-wa-ra…" Big Mom growled darkly and she picked up Napoleon again and now Prometheus was coating her fist in flames.

"When did you get back here Nami-san?" Brook asked looking at the navigator who smirked slightly as she held up a bag that she hadn't had earlier.

"Just a minute ago. We've already had the copy of the red Poneglyph thanks to you Brook, but I went back and made a spare and some rubbings of the other two for Robin!" Nami said opening the bag and showing them the three large scrolls inside of it.

"While you taking the cloud probably helps Luffy-san is-" Pedro said glancing at her before looking back at the fight where Luffy was still fighting. He was fighting and he was losing from the looks of it but he was still fighting.

Pedro's hands clenched on the railing. They needed to get to Wano still but Luffy was losing and would probably die and-"

"Luffy's going to be fine. We should be more worried about getting caught in the crossfire." Nami said shaking her head slightly at him even as she pet the cloud who seemed to be shy but happy with her attention.

Pedro's head whipped towards her but Chopper and Brook and even Pudding, the three eyed girl who had been married to Sanji who was still asleep in the bedroom after being transported slowly and carefully through the mirrors, nodding their heads in understanding or agreement.

"Luffy will be fine." Nami repeated with a smile. It wasn't without worry, it wasn't said crassly or rudely. She was definitely worried but she was also filled with faith. Not the blind faith of people who worshiped gods, but a different faith.

A faith of one who has seen happenings that other people would call miracles but it was merely a kind and brave act of a human soul.

"He's going to be the next Pirate King, remember?" Nami asked winking at him and despite the battle still raging between the two monsters, Pedro's mind flashes back to all those years ago.

He remembers watching the Pirate King's execution, remembers the rain against his fur and the way his sword slipped from his paws.

But he also remembers everything they've done already. Infiltrated Tottoland (the very heart of a Yonko's territory even!), stole copies of the road poneglyphs and the other two in her possession, allied with another Worst Generation Rookie, retrieved their crewmate, and even stole away two of Big Mom's daughters from her crew! They even, thanks to Chopper, managed to save four of Big Mom's would have been five victims in the form of the Germa 66. Chopper had even said that the four of them were stable now! That they were no longer in critical condition and would pull through.

Pedro remembers what they had managed to do so far and he lets himself hope that the sun will shine again, and bring a new dawn.

And so he watches the fight again filled with hope and belief much like the Straw Hats themselves were, much like Carrot was. He watches as Luffy unlocks Snakeman and goes right back into swinging and hitting Big Mom and actually doing some damage to the feared Yonko with the Iron Skin.

Perhaps, after this, he'll see his home bright and happy. Truly happy once this is done.

And so Pedro, like the rest of the Straw Hats aside from the sleeping Cook, stand out in the rain and watch as the two Conqueror's collide and fight to determine the winner.
