Chapter Two - Fighting Hearts
Allura ended up coming over after her appointment to have a "date," but they just watched movies and whenever a maid came in, they'd pretend they were cuddling or making out.
Things were going smoothly, until Veronica came in.
Veronica was Lance's older sister and she was the closest to Lance in all of the family- minus mama of course. She looked just like Lance, piercing ocean eyes, golden tan skin, freckles dotted along her cheeks. The only difference was her hair was a bit longer and darker than his, longer by just a few centimeters. She pushed her glasses up further on her nose. "What are you doing?" She asked with a smug smirk.
"Watching a movie, what does it look like?" Lance grunted, his arm still stiffly around Allura's shoulders. They were sat on Lance's couch in his office corner, the big screen of the TV still playing a movie. They had agreed on watching The Fault In Our Stars and were half way through.
"A-hah." Veronica smiled smugly.
"What?" Lance exaggerated.
"Nothing, nothing. Mama wanted you to know dinner is ready. It's your favorite." She winked.
"Did Millie make it?" Allura asked.
"Yep." Veronica said, popping the p. "So come on down before I eat it all." And with that she left the room, leaving Lance and Allura with Hazel and Gus cuddling on the big screen.

"Kosmo!" Keith yelled, smiling as his adorable husky came toppling over to him, his tail knocking over something on the coffee table. Adam grumbled something under his breathe, something along the lines of Geez, that dog's tail is a weapon or Geez, that dog is huge and obnoxious.
Any other way, he was right with whatever he had said.
It was that time of day for Kosmo's walk, so Keith put his leash on, pet him and took him out the front door and right away he felt the cool breeze of the September air. School had just started not to long ago, Keith enrolling the first week and starting the next. His teachers had been cool with his lack of knowledge for a few subjects, but they wanted him to study them more, which was understandable.
Kosmo barked happily as he pranced along the sidewalk, wagging his tail rapidly. It was no secret Kosmo loved walks. He was a dog of course, so that meant walks. When he was a puppy, Pop had to take him out every time of the day, including midnight - which Pop was never happy about - and finally got to the point where he could go the night without any accidents and waking them up.
Overall, Kosmo has always been a good dog with a big heart. He always craves attention, so whenever they're out, he gets people to pet him and they always adore Kosmo.
Keith felt Kosmo halt, sniffing the air. Keith sighed, knowing what it meant. He smelt another dog or a squirrel. Probably a squirrel. He sniffed the air again, then bolted forward dragging Keith. "Kosmo! Kosmo!" He yelled, still gripping the leash so Kosmo didn't go off on his own. Kosmo stopped in front of a tall tan woman with sky blue eyes. "Sorry." He said, pulling Kosmo back as he roughly sniffed her all over.
"Nah, it's ok." The woman said, smiling. She pushed up her glasses. In her arms, something stirred awake. Keith glanced closer, trying not to be rude in the process. The woman moved her arm so he could see better, and Kosmo jumped up and licked it. In her arms, was a small orange tabby kitten with beautiful green eyes. Kosmo sniffed the kitten and it just batted him away, hissing. "This is Flash." She chuckled. "I found him last week and he's been mine."
The woman rubbed Flash's cheek and chin as he purred softly. "This is Kosmo." Keith said, pulling Kosmo back again and scratching his ear. "And I'm Keith."
"Nice to meet you Keith, I'm Veronica." She smiled. "I would also introduce to my brother but he went off somewhere with his girlfriend." Veronica snickered.
Keith nodded, and moved to rub Kosmo's belly. "I was just out for a run with Kosmo, so I have time for when he comes back around." He pulled his hair back into a small bun after feeling his ponytail slowly fall out.
They walked along the path of the park and soon found a picnic table. Sitting down, they chatted while Kosmo went about playing with other dogs and Flash purred in Veronica's arms. Soon, a boy that looked almost identical to Veronica and a pretty girl with silvery hair came up to them, hand in hand. "Roni, we've been looking all over for you. Where have you been." The boy mumbled.
Veronica smiled again and pointed to Keith, who waved stiffly. "Hi." He said.
The boy gasped, raising his hand over half his face. "Hey! You're the guy that ran into me on Monday!"
Keith tilted his head confusedly, saying, "What?
"Yeah, you ran into me and, and I dropped all my things! And was late to my meeting with my driver!" He huffed. The girl, probably his girlfriend, rolled her eyes softly.
"Lance, maybe he doesn't remember. Plus, it's pointless now, it's been almost a week since then."
He pouted, then murmured "He was the one who was rude about it."
Suddenly, Keith's phone rang. He fished it out of his pocket and glanced to see who it was before answering. Of course, it was Shiro. "What." He said into the phone.
"Keith," Shiro started in his big brother voice. "It doesn't take an hour and a half to walk Kosmo. Where are you."
Keith scowled into the phone. "I know, I was leaving soon anyways. Bye." He ended the call before Shiro could answer back, put his phone in his pocket and whistled for Kosmo. He came bolting back, mouth all slobbery while carrying an old tennis ball. "Where did you get that." Keith sighed, taking it out of his mouth and setting in the grass. He put the leash back on and turned to Veronica. "My brother wants me home, but it was nice meeting you Veronica." She nodded, and waved, Flash still asleep in her arms.
Keith tugged Kosmo lightly in the direction of home.
