One Piece Emperors New Clothes

There was silence for a long moment as Katakuri swept Luffy up into his arms as if it were the most natural thing in the world, who knows it might have been. Brulee was already fretting and fussing over each of Luffy's injuries while Jimbe leisurely walked with them to the ship.

"From now on." Smoothie broke the silence first and everyone but Luffy and Katakuri looked at her, even Brulee paused in wrapping Luffy's wounds to glance at the Sweet Commander.

"The Big Mom pirates and Tottoland as a whole are under the flag and in service to the Straw Hat Pirates. Any disagreements?" Smoothie asked as she glanced around at her siblings who all shook their heads in the negative.

"There is no Straw Hat Grand Fleet!" Luffy groaned from Katakuri's arms and most of the Charlottes wondered what he meant by a Grand Fleet.

"Straw Hat." Amande called out to the boy who's head popped up from where he was resting it against Katakuri while the others chuckled in disbelief at his words. He didn't want a Grand Fleet? The hell kind of pirate…the hell kind of Emperor was he?

"There's a bit of damage from you battle with Big Mom…" Amande said and even Straw Hat was giving her a look that pretty much said 'yeah no shit'.

"But our medical facilities are still intact and our doctors are all highly trained. You and all of your crew are more than welcome to rest and recover here instead of on the seas." Amande said and Straw Hat gave her a tired grin.

"Thanks! But nah. We got to get to the rest of the crew in Wano. Besides. Chopper is the best doctor in the world. He'll have me patched up in no time!" The captain, their captain now too, said and the Charlotte siblings noticed as the possible reindeer possible racoon started doing a blushing wiggle dance and calling Luffy a bastard.

"I think I speak for all of my siblings when I say that the offer is always open. Tottoland is yours now and the crew is ready to follow your orders." Amande said seriously and Luffy gave her a confused look.

"Why follow my orders? You're pirates aren't you? That means you're free to follow your own dreams and stuff now!" Luffy said and that news. That fact…those words…they pierced the thoughts and hearts of each Charlotte and islander who heard. Free?

Such a thing was…were they really free? Looking around at the houses and buildings and everyday items that no longer had faces and could no longer see, the realization struck them again. Big Mom had lost and was gone. She wasn't in charge of them anymore.

They…they had never been free before.

"What do free people do?" Piore asked looking at her older siblings for an answer but they had no clue what to tell her. Luffy just gave them a tired understanding smile as Katakuri and Brulee finally made it to the ship where Katakuri gently lowered Luffy to the deck and the little doctor began fretting and fussing over him alongside Brulee.

"Whatever the hell we want! Be free now! You're free to find or follow your own dreams! You can explore the world! You can visit all the libraries or fight all of the swordsmen or make your own pirate crews and sail around to do whatever you want! That's the beauty of the world and of being a pirate. You're free to go anywhere and do anything!" Luffy said and there was a fond smile on the face of each of his crewmembers while most of the Charlottes were still processing this. Free…they were free from the shackles of their blood. They could…they could leave and be alive. They could make their own crews without dying or losing their life span for it.

They could do whatever the hell they wanted.

"Anyone who wants to start their own pirate crew and travel is free to do so…but we're all still part of the Straw Hat Fleet, peroin." Perospero said softly to his siblings who all nodded their heads dumbly. They were free, Luffy had freed them from their mother, from the cursed bloodline they had carried.

Each of the Charlottes knew that even if they did set out and start their own pirate crews and empires, they would all be more than willing to do anything for the man who freed them. For their new captain who wouldn't threaten and kill them like Big Mom had.

For the captain who let them have their freedom and do with it what they wished.

They would do more than just follow him beyond the gates of death, they'd follow him to the ends of space and time.

Some of the older siblings looked at each other, Oven finding himself looking at Smoothie, and they nodded with small smiles on their faces.

"Free huh? Broye-chan…how long will it be before you can make a Straw Hat flag for us to hang from the castle, Peroin?" Perospero asked turning to their fashion and designing expert sister who grinned at him.

"I can have one done in an hour!" Broye said and Perospero nodded for her to go and get started.

"Make sure there's enough for almost everyone. The little ones will be staying on Whole Cake Island of course and Compote and I will be making sure that Tottoland continues to run smoothly…but all those who are of age and wish to do so are free to set sail and start their own pirate crews. Each one of you though shall have a Straw Hat flag with you to symbolize who our leader is. Any objections, peroin?" Perospero asked glancing around at the gathered siblings, already knowing that his snail back in the castle must be going nuts from the siblings on other islands panicking over the homies disappearing.

He'd have to get back to the castle soon and handle things so that the others didn't dare attack the Straw Hats on their way out of their new territory. Of course with Katakuri and Brulee, well more Katakuri given how clumsy Brulee could be, on the ship then none of the siblings would dare attack it.

But he'd have to tell them about the Sun and Tank Pirates both being allies now as well and to let them go if they wished to leave.

"For now our regular Tarte ships will do, just make sure we take down the flag of the Big Mom pirates. Make sure Captain Luffy has an escort as far as we can go in case of any surprise attacks from other pirates. Smoothie-chan. Amande-chan. Do you two think that you and your crews can do that at least until we can get someone to take over for you both?" Compote asked glancing at her younger sisters who nodded their heads.

"Not a problem Compote-nee. Citron, Cinnamon. You heard that. Bring the ship around and make sure that you keep an eye out for anyone attacking Captain Luffy." Smoothie said and, when the hell did she get her snail out much less call up the other two of the Long Leg triplets?, and her twins agreed as the siblings saw one of the Tarte ships come close to the island.

"Nuts Island is on the way out of the territory. I'll ride with you until we get there and I can get on my own ship." Amande said following her younger sister who merely nodded in agreement.

"Anyone who's good at construction go ahead and get started on repairing the homes and businesses that were destroyed or damaged in the fighting. Focus on the palace last as we may break it down smaller now! Those of you who are good at sewing then begin making flags of the Straw Hat's Jolly Roger! We shall fly them on each island in Tottoland and any who wish to set out and start their own crew shall fly at least a small one on their ship to show their loyalty to the Straw Hats!" Compote called out the orders both to her siblings and to the townsfolk who nodded and immediately got to work.

"That hush when he claimed Tottoland and Fishman Island….you two felt it and remember it as well right?" Daifuku asked looking at his two older siblings now and they both gave small grim smiles, remembering Big Mom's temper tantrum when she learned what had happened on the day the world felt that eerie unnatural silence the first time.

"Yes. Long live the king, peroin."
