Maybe Tired
"Halt, villain!" the pro shouted out.
Tarot laughed as she dashed across the rooftop. She called back over her shoulder, "Like I'm gonna listen to you! Why do you heroes always think someone's going to listen to you?! Especially when that person is a villain. Don't you know the definition of villain?"
"Wind Slice!"
Tarot spun around. With a grin on her face she crossed her arms and waited.
"Such an overconfident little brat," Wind Rider, the hero chasing her, said.
Just before his wind could hit her, a rune appeared underneath her. She sunk into it. The attack flew over her head.
"Blast it, Hallow! I thought you could only bring Halloween related things to life!" Wind Rider said.
"Looks like you didn't do you research! Better luck next time!" Tarot gave him a wave with her fingers before disappearing. She reappeared on two rooftops over.
"Great job, Hallow."
"Thanks, Dad." Tarot pulled her mask from her eye a bit and scratched there. It was way too tight for her liking. But any looser and it would fall off.
"Did they figure us out yet?" Rune stepped up to her.
"Nope." Tarot shook her head. "They're still confused on what Hallow's quirk really is. They haven't noticed we're two different people. They might not. Heroes aren't as smart as they want people to think they are. They'll probably just assume Hallow has two quirks and be done with it."
"And it's all thanks to your flat chest." Rune slung his arm around his sister's shoulders and dropped his eyes to her size A chest.
Tarot rolled her eyes. What was the deal with guys and breasts? She couldn't care less about the size of hers. If a guy used a girl's chest to decide if he liked her or not, like her brother does, then she was better off remaining single. "Anyway... did you get it?"
"Of course I did." Raven, their dad, held up a large ruby almost as deep red as his eyes. Like his kids, he wore top to bottom black clothes to help hide in the shadows.
"Yes!" Rune pumped a fist. "We are the best villains ever!"
"I'd say the League of Villains would fall under that title," Tarot said.
Rune wrinkled his nose. "Those pantie waists?"
"They did attack UA."
"They only wanted All Might. And they lost like the losers they are." Rune waved his hand in dismissal. "They could never beat us."
"Whatever. Let's just go home."
"What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing. We done here. There's no need to stay."
"Okay, you two," Raven said. "We've got what we came for. Now let's go before more pros show up and spot us."
"Right." Rune weaved rune in the air. It floated under them and they sunk into it.
Rising up into their home, Tarot headed for the stairs. "I'm taking a shower."
"I don't understand what's up with her." Rune planted his hands on his hips and shook his head as she reached the top of the stairs.
"Don't worry about it," their dad said. "Girls often have their moody moments. It'll pass soon enough."
"It had better."
Tarot sighed. Maybe there was something wrong with her. The thrill of being a villain no longer... well thrilled her.
After her shower, Tarot flopped down on her bed and pulled out her phone. For some unknown reason, she pulled up the video of Shinso's fight. Again something tapped at her chest. This time it was accompanied by warmth.
Her brow knitted. Was she developing a crush on this boy? She shook her head. Surely not. No way. She couldn't be. Not on a wanna be hero.
Putting her cellphone away she rolled over and tried to get some sleep.
It didn't happen.
She spent hours tossing and turning, her mind running not stop about her life and the UA boy Shinso.
It wasn't until the sun peeked around her curtain did she finally fall into a deep asleep.
