Killers
As the weeks went on Tarot's feeling towards the League of Villains never wavered. Thought she had to admit that she loved the times she made them angry, especially when it involved calling Magna a man. She absolutely loved ticking off Toga. Okay so it might have been a little childish of her, but it made the time spent with them less painful.
And they had spent a lot of time with them as they stolen whatever they wished, looked for villains to recruit, and whatever else they felt like doing. They learned more about their personalities, which didn't help her opinion of them. They learned about their quirks. But Tarot insisted that she and Rune not reveal everything they can do. So they limited their quirk uses. She was glad when Rune agreed with that. Though his reasons were ego based. He wanted to have leverage over them in anyway he could get, still thinking they could over take them one day.
Unfortunately, as they weeks past things got worse. Their current mission turn a bad corner. She and her brother were out with a few of the League members. They were suppose to shake down a few lower level thugs for money then rip off a bank. All went well enough until they found out the bank had a night guard watching over it.
"Can we get out of here?" Tarot asked as she fidgeted. Her brother had the night guard trapped in a rune. "We got the money."
"No way," Dabi said, his hand aglow in blue flames.
"He's seen us." Toga pulled out her knife. "He needs to die now."
"No!" Tarot stepped between them. Her eyes flickered to the runes her brother created to pull them back up to the rooftop where he waited. "That's not part of the deal. We're not here to kill."
"Shut up," Toga said. "I'm sick of your crap talk. This guy is going to die."
"I won't let you." Tarot shifted her jack-o-lanterns to defend the man.
"Hey, what's taking so long?" Rune poked his head into one of the runes. "The police and heroes are coming."
"You sister is preventing us from killing this man. He's seen our faces," Dabi said.
"Tarot, let them do it and lets go," Rune said with a frown.
Tarot's eyes whipped to her brother. "What? No!"
"We don't have time for this." Rune drew a rune and slipped it under his sister's feet.
Tarot tried to move. She couldn't. She was trapped. Her brother had trapped her. "Rune! Let go!"
Rune ignored her to look at the others. "Hurry up!"
"Finally." Dabi walked forward.
"No!" Tarot snapped out her hand in an attempt to free the guard. But Rune made another rune that wrapped around her body, covering her eyes. If she couldn't see she couldn't help anyone.
The guard's chilling scream vibrated into her very soul. Her body turned cold as she heard Toga's knife ripping through flesh. More screams ripped from the man before a rush of heat took over the air. The screams were cut off.
