Chapter three

About thirty mintues later, Rose arrived at her younger brother Elijah's school in her Chevy Impala. It was something she do on the days that her parents would be working late. Plus she love to sppend some quailty time with him. She sat in the car waiting for the teacher to bring him out. Her mind begin to wonder about what happen at school today. The young man with the curly hair, brown eyes, and sexy smile. Oh god! She can melt right there in the seat. It was then that the sound if the younger brother shouting when he spotted her. She immediately got out of the car and walked over to him.
''Hey lovey!'' She replied giving him a kiss on the forehead. She waved goodbye to the teacher, starp him in before getting in the car, and driving off.
"So, How was school?" Rose replied as she drove.
''School was great! Ms. Jenny brought a rocket movie for us!'' Elijah replied.
''Cool.'' Rose replied smiling. ''You guys watched a movie about Rocket Ships?''
''Yeah! And I said, "I wanna be an austronant, and go to the moon!"
Rose laughed. ''Okay, but slow down tiger. You are only five. Have fun first.''
About ten mintues later, they pulled up to the house. Roses' house was bigger than the other around the neighborhood, because her mother worker as a anttorney, and her father worked for the office of New Mexico. She got out of the driver seat, unhooked her brother from the back, and made they way to the house.
"Zoom! Room! Room!'' Elijah excliamed as he played with his toy rockets. Rose could do nothing but shake her head at him. It has been four months since Elijah express his love for rocketships. Every month, her parents would buy him all kinds for spaceships, and of course she would as well. She enjoyed watching Elijah going through his faze. It made her laugh sometimes. But nothing was more wonderful but being a big sister. She continued to watched him, at the same time, on the phone watching for Shana to pick up.
''Elijah, are you hungry?'' She asked him.
''No! Playing with my rocketships!'' He exclaimed. Finally she picks up.
''So what did your mom say about the tutor?'' Rose asked her.
''She's says, she is tired of me complaining about a tutor, so she decided to help me pay half,'' Shana replied.
''What?'' Rose asked shocked. ''How the hell you gonna do that?''
''A part time job Bitch!'' She excliamed. ''I agree though. I can't have her take care of everything. As of tomorrow, I have to start looking for a job. Plus, you know how my mom is.''
''Yeah, I know,'' Rose replied.
''What are you up to?'' Shana asked.
''I'm at home with Elijah.''
''Awwww! How's my baby boo?'' Shana cooed.
''He's obsessing about Rocketships!'' Rose laughed.
''Oh...How about you...Mrs. Danforth?'' Shana teased.
''Shut up!'' Rose excliamed. ''I feel like I fell from Heaven. I can't get what happen today in my head. By the way, thanks for not believeing in me bitch!''
''Hey! Language around the kid.''
''He's in the living room.'' Rose replied pouring a glass of water. ''I was on my way upstairs to get something comfortable. Let me check on him. She walked out of the kitchen into the living room.
''Elijah! I'm going upstairs to change. I'll be right back. Stay here and watch Power Rangers.''
''Okay!'' He Excliamed.
''I swear Shana, He's getting bigger everyday...''Just as Rose walked up the stairs to her room, she was unaware that the door bell had ring. Elijah, who was the only person downstairs dropped his toys and ran straight to the door.
''Door! Door! Door! Coming Daddy!''
''Stop teasing me, Shana.'' Rose replied, turning on her speaker phone, and putting her phone on the bed.
''Yeah yeah. You love it. Did you see the way he was looking at you? He so likes you.''
''You think so?'' Rose asked taking off her dress. Letting it fall to the floor. She was standing in her bra and panties before going to the drawer for a t shirt.
''I'm positive. And the way he stares at you...it almost like he was a phycho killer or something.''
''Shut up! No he was not!'' She put on the tshirt and grabbed a pair of pajamas. ''He was joking about that earlier in class with me...''
''What about Ryan? He noticed it!''
''He didn't say anything.'' Rose replied putting her hair in a bun, and her reading glasses.
''In his mind Rose...''Shana replied.
''Oh...so you can read minds now?''
''As a matter of fact, Yes...and I can tell what's on you mind now.''
Rose laughed. ''Girl Please-''
Suddenly, Rose heard something downstairs. It was not Elijah, but someone else.
''Rose?'' Shana called. ''You there?''
''Yeah Shana, I'm here. I think I heard someone.''
''It's just Elijah. You left him down stairs.''
''No, I don't think so. I think someone else is downstairs with him.'' She heard laugher from the strange person.
''Your folks?'' Shana asked.
''No. They don't come home today until seven- let me go check it out. Stay on the line, okay?''
''Oh don't worried. I am not going anywhere,'' Shana replied.
Walking slowly downstairs, Rose turned the speaker off. She heard more laugther, following about Elijah talking. ''He should have know better not to open the door for strangers,'' Rose replied on the phone. ''Hold on- Elijah, did you answer the door? You know I told you not to open the door for-'' Just as she turn the corner, she was suprised about who it was-
''Chad.''
''Chad?!'' Shana excliamed on the other line.
''Spaceship.'' Elijah replied. He wasn't sure what was going on but the two was staring at each other for a moment.
''Girl. He's in your living room?! What did I tell you? He's got it bad-''
''I'll call you back-'' Rose replied quickly hanging up the phone. Chad got up from the couch and walked up to her.
''Hey,'' he replied with a smile.
''Hi.'' Rose replied back.
''Before you say anything, I just wanted to let you know that your brother thought I was your father.''
''Oh...''Rose replied. She was a little stuck on her words.
''Let me guess, by the look on your face you are wondering why I came here.'' He replied.
''Um No- I mean yes, I was just suprised that- Why are you here?''
Chad smiled. ''Well, for one, you address was on your...''he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a card. ''Your ID. you dropped it a school earlier today. Just wanted to return it to you.''
''Thank you,'' Rose replied. ''It was a good thing you did, otherwise, I wouldn't notice it was missing.''
''I'm glad you don't mind me coming over. I thought that I should have wait until we meet up for class-''
''No it's fine. I'm glad you here.'' Rose replied breathlessy
''Glad to be here,'' Chad replied staring at her making her blush.
''Boom!'' Her brother excliamed breaking the conncetion between the two.
''Rocket ships!'' He exclaimed. Chad let out a laugh.
''He's so funny!' He replied.
''I'm sorry. My brother Elijah is a big fan of Spaceships.''
''Really?'' Chad asked amused.
''Yeah. He saw a flim earlier today at school. His teacher says he was estatic about it.''
''I can imagine,'' Chad replied.
Elijah stop his ranting and went over to his sister for a hug.
''Rosie?''
''What love? What's wrong?''
''I'm hungry,'' Elijah replied.
''Awww... all that ranting about Rocket ships made you hungry, huh?'' With her question, he nodded his head.
''How about a peatnut butter and Jelly sandwich?'' She suggested.
''Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!''
''Okay. I'll go in the kitchen to fix it. Why don't you go and watch T.V.'' She looked at Chad. ''Come with me?''
With her qustion, he nods his head and followers her to the kitchen.
