So, yeah, I decided to do a remake to my Sonic X books. In this one Penny's a hedgehog. Sadly there are no Silver and Blaze from my orriginal work, nor there are Kat, Hiro, or Cloud. I'm going to stick to the orriginal story with my remake. Please enjoy and let me know which version you like better.

Penny shuddered as she sat in her spherical cage, clutching a shuddering Cream in her arms. Cheese hugged Penny's side, sharing the exact same terror as the girls.

"Why does that cursed Sonic always get in my way?!" Eggman hissed as he watched the events on his computer screen.

"He doesn't always get in your way, Eggman." Cream shuddered. Penny was proud of the young rabbit's bravery, even though she was terrified. "Sonic just tries to stop you from doing the bad things you like to do!"

Cheese chaoed in response.

Eggman snickered at his prisoners. "Oh, is that so?" He turned to them and held up a ruby red Chaos Emerald. "Well, he's too late to stop me this time! Once I insert this Chaos Emerald, my Energy Amplifire will be invincible!"

"But you can't do that!" Cream cried.

"Chao chao!"

Penny said nothing as Cream continued. "That's right! Sonic won't let you get away with this!"

"He'll be here to kick your butt!" Penny hissed at Eggman.

"You're wrong, you two!" Eggman snickered at them. "He can't sto-"

He was interupted when a familiar blue blur sped into the layer, smashing through the wall and landing on his feet in front of Eggman. Eggman turned around and his eyes widened.

Sonic stood there, smirking at the doctor. From Penny's view the female hedgehog could see that he was holding one of his rings, she could tell from the way his right fist was glowing through the smoke.

"SONIC!" Cream and Penny cried happily.

"Sonic..." Eggman looked nervous for a second, and then sneered. "Too late!"

He placed the ruby red Chaos Emerald in his machine and closed the lid. He pressed a few buttons and turned to Sonic, holding his controller. "You'll never stop me now, Sonic." He laughed, his finger above the button. "All I have to do is press this little button."

Sonic frowned for a moment and then smirked. "Yeah, if you can push it before I grab it!"

Penny smirked, pressing her hands against the glass cage as she watched Eggman's expression turn to worry. "Yeah, you tell him Sonic!"

Eggman glanced behind Sonic and smirked. "Ah. Why don't you give it a try?"

He fired.

Sonic smirked as he dodged the attacks. Eggman cheered. "Don't let him get away! Stop him, no matter what!"

Sonic landed in front of Eggman, and the missiles trained on him. Eggman sweatdropped. "No, hold your fire!"

Sonic hopped out of the way and the robots fired. Eggman quickly dropped to the floor, covering his head. Everything felt like slow motion as the female hedgehog watched the glass holding the Chaos Emerald smash into tiny bits.

"AH! HERE WE GO!" Eggman yelled, attempting to press the button. Hearing electricity sparking in the background, Eggman turned to the machine, his eyes wide. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"

Penny yelped as the brightest light she ever saw filled her vision, and soon everything went black.
