Penny groaned as she woke up. What happened?
Oh yeah.
The last thing the pink and white hedgehog remembered was Eggman capturing her, Cream, and Cheese, and then Sonic spinning in to save them, and then causing Chaos Control.
She winced as she sat up, bright sunlight filling her vision.
"Thank goodness you're okay!" Cream cried, hugging her.
"What happened...where are we..."
"You passed out when Sonic accidentally caused Chaos Control!" Cream explained. "As for where we are...I don't know!"
Penny sat up and glanced down, and immediately wished she didn't. She, Cream, and Cheese were on a very high bridge of some sort, and people were watching them, yelling in shock and pointing up at them.
"What are they staring at?!" Cream whimpered, and Cheese chaoed in response.
"I-I don't..." Penny let out a startled yelp as the sound of helicopter's rotor system sounded ahead of them, and strange alarms cried towards them. Penny shuddered and grabbed Cream and Cheese close, her eyes never leaving the strangers.
"What is this place?!" Cream cried. She, Cheese, and Penny let out a startled cry as the strangers climbed up the bridge and retrieved them.
"L-let me go!" Penny shrieked, and began trying to punch her way out. However, one of the men grabbed her and knocked her out, and the last thing she heard was Cream crying her name, and Cheese chaoing in the distance.
As for Sonic, the night he teleported to this strange world, he was rescued by a boy named Chris. And now, he was settling down on a couch, snacking on chips while Chris watched the news. The young boy's eyes trailed suspiciously to Sonic, wondering how he even appeared on the news.
The living room door slammed open, and Chris's grandfather Chuck walked in, excitement written on his face as he walked towards his grandson. "There you are! Guess what? A big, blue hedgehog came out of nowhere and outran the S Team yesterday."
Chuck paused. He glanced down. Sonic glanced back up at him. Chris stuttered and quickly tried covering Sonic with a pillow, but the hedgehog didn't like that. He began flailing around, trying to get the pillow off his face. "Hey, cut it out! I can't breathe!"
Chris chuckled nervously as Chuck glared at his grandson. Sonic flung the pillow off him and angrily crossed his arms. Chuck stared at him in amazement. "Blue, just like that..."
Chuck's eyes went wide with excitement, and he lunged for Sonic.
"EASY, GRANDPA!" Chris cried.
Chuck pulled out a screwdriver and Chris's eyes widened. "Grandpa, what are you doing?!"
Chuck poked the screwdriver at Sonic's body, trying to take him apart. "I have to see how this thing is put together!"
Sonic let out a startled laugh, flailing around. Having enough, he squirmed out of Chuck's arms and landed on the ground.
Chuck looked stunned for a minute before lunging at Sonic again. "Stand still!"
Chris quickly stopped his grandfather. "Grandpa, wait! He isn't a machine! He's Sonic the Hedgehog!"
Chuck stopped, looking shocked. He dropped his screwdriver, stuttering. They were so focused on what was happening that they didn't see that the TV channel changed to a news report. "Now let's go live to this late-breaking story."
"PLEASE!"
Sonic's eyes widened. He knew that voice. He turned around to the TV and his eyes widened to see Penny, Cream, and Cheese, surrounded by police officers and strange vehicles. Cream, Penny, and Cheese were shuddering with fear, and Sonic could see the terror in Penny's brown eyes as the strangers grabbed her.
"Please leave us alone!" Cream cried.
"It's Penny, Cream, and Cheese!" Sonic gasped.
Chris turned to Sonic. "It's who?"
Sonic gritted his teeth. "I'm not the only one who got transported to this weird world after all." He clenched his fist. "I'll save those three!"
He zoomed off. Chris's eyes widened and he ran outside, yelling, "DO YOU KNOW WHERE THEY ARE?!"
Sonic zoomed back and shrugged, chuckling sheepishly.
Chris sighed.
