Chapter 20: Rin/Tenma slayer as a geisha.

No one's point of view:

At one of the red light district places that the Shinsengumi men would sometimes go a new geisha called Rin started to work there. Some of the men said she was breath taking with her long golden hair and ruby red eyes. Pale skin and a sweet voice. Renji a man with red hair and tattoos walked into said building that Rin worked. He was shown a room and sat down. He waited with a work mate of his a man that looked kinda like a noble but not quite. A female voice spoke, "We are coming in and we have a new geisha with us her name is Rin." And as they came in Renji's eyes watched them as they seated themselves next to them. Each girl had a bottle of sake and a cup, as well as food that the two had ordered.

Renji's eyes locked with the golden hair beauty. There was something about her, she looked so much like someone he once knew. He held his sake cup and the girl filled it up for him. As he took a sip his co worker was chatting up the woman who was filling his sake cup up. Renji's memories took him back to when Tenma was around. And it was then that he noticed just how Rin looked almost like Tenma. Only Tenma had brown hair and different eyes. Where as this girl had golden hair and blood red eyes. It made Renji a little creeped out but he pushed his thoughts aside. Other then that this girl was the spitting image of Tenma. Even looked to be around the same age as her as well.

It couldn't be her though could it? Maybe it was but why has she not said anything? Renji frowned a little in his thoughts as the young girl looked blankly at him. That was something else that bothered him. Tenma never had a blank look and yet this girl had such a blank look to her. He shook his head as he drank his sake. It was not right that someone held a blank look. Rin held her eyes on his face then lowered them to his sake cup. Renji placed the cup on the tray and started to eat his meal. As Renji ate his co worker looked at Rin. A smirk came across his face as he said, "Hey Renji what gives she not good enough for you? She looks mighty fine to me if she is not up to your taste we could switch girls."

Renji's eyes darkened at that and he said with a confident tone. "She is fine and more then up to my taste it's just she reminds me of someone from a long time ago that's all." The other man nodded before asking who. Renji relied an old friend who vanished and just like that the topic was dropped. All to soon the two had ate their meals and drank their sake. The co worker got up and left saying he was getting back and that he would see Renji tomorrow morning. Renji waited until it was just him and Rin. Looking back at the girl he said to her. "Okay what is your real name? I know it is not Rin. You look so much like Tenma that it is unreal. Who are you?" he asked as Rin blinked and looked up at him. Then she said "I don't know my real name I have forgotten" her eyes no longer looking blank but it was clear that she did not remember or recognise Renji at all.

Well that was not what Renji was expecting as he just blinked down at her. "Really? How can anyone forget their name or who they are?" He asked harshly. Rin shrugged and replied with a calmness that was slightly creepy. "I don't know I just can't remember that's all." Renji sighed at the girl before he noticed her ears was a little off furry even. His big hand reached out as if to touch them and Rin backed away from his hand that was coming closer to her. This caused Renji to freeze in mid air as he noticed her eyes was locked onto his own but there was no fear just confusion in her depths. Renji lowered his hand back to his side. Then he got up said goodnight and walked out. His mind racing a hundred miles per minute. Was Rin really Tenma? And if so what had happened for her to forget him. He was going to have to look into this. He was so caught up in his mind that he failed to noticed a small group of men from the Shinsengumi walk past him, heading to the very room he had just left. He also failed to notice Rin or Tenma had left the room with the tray to clean up.

Sannan, Hijikata and Saito had gone to this place a new tea house that host both geisha and women of the night, mostly geisha but some prostitutes also worked here. If Tenma was here the men hoped it was only as a geisha and not as a women who sells her body for sex. The men sat in the room to wait for one of the geisha's to arrive with their food and sake or tea in Hijikata's case. A female's voice floated through the door, "We have your order and a new geisha called Rin has come to work for us we hope you will be pleased with her. We are coming in". And just like that three girls walked in. One had light brown hair and brown doe like eyes. One had black hair and mis matched eyes, the yes was as followed one golden and one and bright blue. The last girl younger then the other two but still classed as an adult. She had golden hair and red ruby eyes. Sannan knew it was Tenma the moment he saw her. He took note that his companions had also noticed. And also had seen that the other two girls sat next to his friends while Tenma whom he heard was called Rin while here sat down next to him.

He noted that she seemed to not recognise him. And this greatly bothered Sannan san. Why did she not know who he was? She was watching him and so he held out his sake cup to be filled with sake. She gracefully filled his cup and he took a sip before setting his cup down and tucking into his meal. His friends did the same although once the meal was down Hijikata asked the other two girls to leave but requested that Rin stayed as they would like to enjoy her company in terms to talking to her or even hearing her play some music or sing. The other two geisha's did as he requested and took the empty trays leaving them alone with Tenma. Once Hijikata was sure they had left he relaxed a bit and looked at Tenma. "Himura kun where have you been? We was all so very worried about you. Even Towa chan misses you she along with everyone else back at base want you to come back?" His tone left no room for arguing.

Tenma blinked and titled her head a little. "Umm sorry but do I know you?" She asked almost shyly. Sannan looked at her confused had she somehow lost her memory or was that demon they was warned about controlling her mind and had taken her memories? The others was shocked at hearing those words. "Tenma chan it's us please remember us" Saito said his voice holding disbelief at what had came out of his friend's mouth. Tenma looked at Saito before a lush creeped across her face and she replied with, "I'm sorry I have forgotten my memories but you three do look kinda like I know you guys from somewhere to me. Like we met but I can't seem to remember. I'm sorry really I am" she said as she blinked up at Sannan san. His eyes soften as he looked into her eyes a hand reach out and lightly touched her furry ears and long golden hair.

Both Hijikata and Saito watched their friend seeing how he reacted to the girl that he so clearly had feeling for. Tenma blushed brightly and almost purred in content under Sannan san's gentle hand that was rubbing her soft furry ears, stroking her long golden flowing hair. Hearing the small sound due to how close Sannan san was he smiled a rather gentle smile that is rarely seen one that Hijikata had seen all to often. "It's alright Himura san but please note that we are your friends even if you do not remember us we will help you should you need us to. If you like we can tell you a little bit about how we met you and what we know about you." Sannan said his gentle eyes looking at the golden hair beauty.

Tenma smiled up at Sannan as she leaned her head into the hand that was rubbing her ears and stroking her hair. "Yes please I would like to know more about me. Like who was I? Was I a good person or not? I have all these blanks in my memory but I can't seem to remember anything that I know I should know." Her voice sounded pleading as she spoke her request to the kind and gentle man that she felt she knew a bit more then the other two. "Very well then I shall tell you what I know. I know that first off your an amazing person. A good person who has helped others and even took in a small child one that looks up to you greatly." This caught Tenma off guard as she couldn't see herself taking in a child. And yet this man said she had done so. After the first half hour Saito and Hijikata had left Sannan and Tenma alone. The two stayed talking for another two hours all the time Tenma felt more close to this kind gentle man.
