Le Mec is the key
Summary: Le Mec escaping is the key point in Lucifer going to hell and not being with his family. So instead of kidnapping Rory, he took Trixie too. And Dan told Lucifer before Le Mec called him because he was there to see Trixie and saw Rory with her. How he knew to get Rory is not important other than the excuse of he has his ways like any other criminal looking for revenge against those that put him away. So yeah this is the day after when Chloe showed Lucifer the pregnancy test. And also, it's A/U because I hated how they ended it like that. It's sort of like in the android saga of Dragonball Z when Future Trunks went back in time to change the past but still have his own future to go back to with the past having it's own future. So the reason Lucifer doesn't exist in Rory's time is because he had sacrificed himself to save Trixie because Le Mec in that time had kidnapped only Trixie because of her connection to Lucifer and as to how he managed that without Rory's feather in this time was because he had taken Maze's demon blade from him and pretended to be knocked out and while he was freeing Trixie, that Le Mec stabbed him in the heart just as that Chloe shot and killed him.

" Lucifer! "
" Gahh! " Lucifer jolted awake, waking Chloe beside him as he had his arm around her waist with his hand resting on her stomach.
" What is it? " Chloe asked immediately alert.
" It's Daniel. " Lucifer said rubbing his face.
" Will you focus! " Dan shouted, Lucifer looked at him and knew something was wrong,
" What's wrong? "
" It's Le Mec. "
" That son of a bitch that killed you?! What about him? "
" What's he saying Lucifer? " Chloe asked, her hand on his bare shoulder.
" He escaped prison last night because a lion got into the prison and the guard panicked and didn't close the cell properly. "
" Well I'm sure that the LAPD will catch him. "
" We can't wait that long because that son of a bitch has Trixie and Rory! "
Lucifer went stock still and Chloe became more concerned and worried, she had seen that look before on other parents faces when she either had to inform them that their child was reported missing from school or...
" Lucifer...What happened? Just tell me please, is it the girls? "
Lucifer swallowed deeply like he had just took a swig of his whiskey, " Le Mec escaped prison last night and he's got our girls. "
" He what?! How do you... Dan where did he take our girls?! " Chloe quickly figured what Dan had been telling him.
" 10th and Swanson. " Dan answered and watched as Lucifer's face changed again.
" Lucifer? " she asked seeing the dread on his face.
" He took them to 10th and Swanson. " he answered her.
Chloe was quiet then she said, " That's it. Something must've happened when you went there to save the girls. "
" To be fair, Le Mec may have only had kidnapped Trixie in Rory's time. And something is going to happen to that piece of shit if he's harmed a single hair on either of their heads. But how did he get to Rory? Or know to take her as well? "
" He probably used his criminal contacts after he got out to find a way to get to you. Rory's half angel Lucifer. She may age slower, have wings, your strength, but she has my weaknesses, she can be hurt and effected by human weapons...Oh god Lucifer, what if Le Mec knows about her being half angel? Her feathers could be used as weapons. They could hurt or kill you. "
" Hell yeah their weapons, and so damn sharp you won't know your cut until it's too late. " Dan commented remembering what her wing did to that stone statue.
Lucifer chuckled despite himself, " Beautiful and deadly, just like her mother. " he looked to Chloe.
" Say what now? " Dan was confused.
" Oh right, you don't know. Rory is mine and Chloe's daughter from the future. "
" Say what now? " Dan repeated.
" I don't have time to recap this discovery with you Daniel, I need to go and save my girls. "
" I'm going with you. " Chloe said getting up from the bed and following him to the closet.
" No! " both Dan and Lucifer said, though Chloe only heard Lucifer.
" You are not going to stop me. They are my daughters too Lucifer and I am not going to sit back and let you go into battle alone. "
" Chloe, you need to stay here where it's safe. I can't let you go, not when I know that your pregnant with Rory now. "
" She's pregnant? "
" Yes Daniel she's pregnant with our adult child, who is now in the clutches of a mad man. She told me last night. "
" Best birthday present yet. " Chloe smiled as she went to get dressed, Dan had stayed out of the huge closet as she did along with Lucifer.
" Well seeing as you'll come along anyway. Could you at least wear a bullet proof vest? And maybe some steel plates? Riot gear? "
" Lucifer, I don't think you know how sharp your daughter's wings are man, they can cut through a solid piece of stone like a hot knife through butter. " Dan said as he waited on them.
" Oh so that's what happened to that statue. Bloody hell what has Maze been teaching her? "
" It's Maze. " Chloe and Dan answered.
" True... Which reminds me, I need to call Maze and let her know what's happened. The more help we have the better... " Lucifer came out wearing a black suit with a white shirt and a red pocket square.
Chloe followed wearing black jeans, brown jacket, and black tank top, her gun at her hip, both looking dangerous and ready to kick ass that Dan actually felt a bit sorry for Le Mec and his goons. Those guys picked the wrong girls to kidnap.
With Rory, Trixie, and Le Mec(it's right before that bitch shoots her with those tranqs so Trixie sees her wings)
" I won't let you use me or T for bait! " Rory shouted as her wings broke loose and freed herself from her ropes, she heard Trixie gasp from her spot further away in a cage of all places. But then again, she did knock this scumbag to the ground before a lackey knocked her out with a stun gun, which is what happened to Rory when she had tried to help her, so he was just a little pissed at her because he also had her tied up in the cage.
" Well to be fair, I was just going to kidnap that one, but then another source told me that you were claiming to be Lucifer's daughter so I figured why not get two for the price of one, hm? "
A swooshing sound came and Rory felt a pain in her neck, she looked over and saw a woman with a rifle,
" There's enough tranquilizer in there to put down a rhino. Not bad kid. " she said as she fired again when Rory went to go after Le Mec again.
" Stop it! " Trixie shouted.
" Shut up you little brat! " the woman aimed her gun at Trixie, the dart would kill her if she shot her with it.
" Get away from my sister! " Rory shouted and moved to protect Trixie, but the woman shot her another two times before she finally collapsed.
Rory saw Le Mec's shoes near her, " I..won't let you use...us as..bait. " she repeated.
" Oh your not just bait. " was the last thing she heard before passing out, Le Mec had seen what her wings could do and he had a plan forming on what to do with them.
" What about this one? " the woman said.
" We'll still need her alive for the moment. She'll lure out her mother. From what my sources tell me, her mother is very involved with Lucifer. Killing all three of these bitches in front of him will cause him so much pain that it'll be easy to kill him. String her up by her wings and chain her up. Then we can get to work. "
" What are you going to do her?! We didn't do anything to you! "
" You didn't no. But your daddy did. "
" My Daddy is dead because of you! "
" Oh! Well, it seems that your mommy is quiet the whore hmm? "
" No she's not! And your a monster! "
" I am not a monster. The Devil is the monster. "
" The hell he is! He helps put monsters like you away! He's also my best friend and a good person Unlike you, you sick sock-sucker! "
" What is a sock-sucker? " Le Mec whispered to the woman beside him, who looked like she was trying not to laugh.
" I think that is a censored swear word for cock-sucker sir. "
" Ah. Remind me to kill her first when they show up. "
" Yes sir. "
Outside the building
Chloe, Lucifer, and Dan arrived at the 10th and Swanson sign with Maze and Eve showing up just a moment later.
" What's the plan? " Maze asked ready to go in and kick ass. Eve right beside her with a shotgun.
" We go in, kick ass, and get our girls back safely. " Lucifer said.
" And take out anyone who gets in our way. " Chloe added, she is not playing around.
" Eve, I want you to stay close with Chloe. " Lucifer requested.
" You got it Luce. "
" Lucifer. "
" Chloe, I, we all will be fighting in there. We most likely will get seperated at some point, I want someone with you. "
Chloe could see that he was just trying to protect her and baby Rory.
" Alright. " she relented, drawing her gun.
" Thank you. "
" What do you want me to do? " Dan asked.
" You go and find Rory and Trixie. Being a ghost means they won't see or hear you. You find them, then come find us. " Lucifer said.
" Got it! " Dan took off ahead, well, he went through the building to go look for them.
" Let's go. " Lucifer said.
" Keep alert. There's no telling how many people are in there with Le Mec and our girls. "
Maze and Eve nodded.
" The longer we go without being spotted and taking out as many as we can, the better chances we have of getting the jump on Le Mec. "
They snuck in, all in stealth mode, looking out for any goons. Maze and Eve went one way, Lucifer and Chloe went the other.
Chloe spotted one man with a sandwich in one hand and some kind of knife in the other, she snuck up on him after signaling Lucifer, she placed her gun to his head,
" Drop it. " she ordered, he dropped the sandwich.
" Really? " Chloe said, not in the mood for any games.
The man swung back with the knife, but Chloe knocked it out and took him down, knocking him out. She walked further down and saw that there was large metal containers on either side of her. She heard a commotion behind her and saw another man with the same type of knife in his hand, but Lucifer had caught him and said,
" Didn't anyone tell you to never bring a knife to a Devil fight? "
The guy broke loose and slashed at Lucifer's arm, causing him to pull away in pain before Maze came up and slit the man's throat.
" How? " Chloe asked in confusion, looking at his arm before he picked up the knife.
" Oh my god! That's one of Rory's feather's! " she exclaimed in horror.
" What the hell have they done to her? " Lucifer asked getting angry at what those animals had possibly done to his daughter, he's eyes flashed red as he imagined the worst,
" They better hope that she's still breathing when I find them. " Lucifer growled, his eyes flashing red.
" Get in line. " Chloe replied and if her eyes could flash they would with how pissed she was. Her face looked like it did the night Dan shot Lucifer. She was angry before but now knowing that those bastards hurt one of her babies? Oh they were going to pay dearly.
" Let's go. It won't take them long to know something's up when these guys don't call in. " Maze said, finally gaining her voice from being silently angry, as Eve came around.
" They're starting to move. " she said.
The four then went off to take out the goons that were coming in.
With Dan
Dan had searched through most of the building until he got to the back, " Well isn't this just a cliché! " Dan muttered as he leaned in through the wall and saw Le Mec and some woman moving around, he looked around and saw Trixie in a cage, a flash of metal caught Dan's eye from his daughter and that's when he saw Rory, she had it worse than Trixie,
" Oh my god! " he exclaimed as he saw her bound in chains, her wings spread out and locked in place on two metal support beams. She looked like she was coming to from being knocked out just as the woman came over with pliers towards her right wing, Rory saw and tried to move away but her wings were pierced and she couldn't move away as the woman grasped a feather and pulled it out,
" AHHHHHHH! " Rory screamed in pain, Trixie closed her eyes as more tears poured down her face at hearing the older girl's crys because she couldn't cover her ears.
" Stop it! " Dan cried out, rushing towards the woman, trying to stop her from getting another feather and hurting his friend's daughter. But like always, he went right through her and she got the feather.
Dan watched helplessly as she brought the bloody feather to a table that had several of them already on it.
" You see? Your not just bait. And from what I understand they are already here. I will use your feathers as weapons against the Devil. " Le Mec said calmly.
" Lucifer! Mom! It's a trap! Don't come in here! " Rory screamed before Le Mec gagged her.
" Hold on Rory! I'll go tell them! " Dan said, knowing that she could hear and see him.
" Go. " Le Mec ordered the woman who took a cross bow loaded with one of Rory's feathers and another at her hip. Le Mec watched her leave as the sounds of gunfire got closer and he went to go hide and wait.
Outside of the room
" Lucifer! I found them! Their back here! It's a trap! Le Mec's using Rory's feathers as weapons and he's got her and her wings chained up! " Dan shouted as he watched Lucifer fight along side Chloe, Maze, and Eve.
" Damn they're so badass...Chloe! Watch out! "
" Chloe! " Lucifer shouted as he turned in time to see a woman with a cross bow shoot at her but she turned and the man that had her got shot and he went down, Chloe turned to the woman and charged at her, the woman took out another one of Rory's feathers and slashed at her, but Chloe dodged and fought with her.
Dan looked around and saw that the woman was the only one left. And Chloe quickly took her down.
" Lucifer! " Dan called.
" I heard you Daniel!...Chloe! " Lucifer went to her when he saw that she had the feather in her shoulder, close to where she had gotten shot.
" I'm fine! Go and get the girls. "
" I'm not leaving you like this! " Lucifer said.
" We both know that today is not the day I die Lucifer. Now go and save Rory and Trixie. "
" We'll stay here with her. " Eve said.
" You stay. I'll call for help. Think you can settle this before the calvary gets here? " Maze asked as she pulled her cell out.
" I know I can. Daniel? "
" I'm with ya bro. "
" Good. Because I'll be a tad distracted with beating the shit out of Le Mec for what's done to Rory and Trixie. "
" Trixie's fine mostly. But Rory's the one that's hurt. They were pulling her feathers out and have her chained and gagged back there. "
Dan backed away as he heard Lucifer growl deeply and his eyes flash red, " Well I'll be sure to pull some of his fingers off when I get my hands on him. Mazikeen, go and count how many feathers they took from her and I'll be taking just as many fingers if not the whole bloody hand. "
Maze actually bowed her head as she left, calling for enforcements along the way.
" Stay with her. Come on Daniel. " Lucifer said to Eve as he left with Dan right behind him.
Slight time skip to where Le Mec is about to stab Lucifer
" DAAAADDDD! " Rory screamed as she broke free from the chains.
" Luuciifferr! " Trixie screamed.
Le Mec's hand was stopped by Rory's hand as she stopped it from getting any closer to her father's throat, she broke his arm, causing him to drop the feather before she grabbed Le Mec's throat and lifted him off the ground and slammed him against the metal beam that he had her chained to, the left half her face changing to a burned one with the eye turning red and black.
" Rory! No! Let him go! " Lucifer was there trying to stop her. Dan watched as her face slowly began to look like Lucifer's Devil face but not entirely as little patches remained as healthy skin.
" Don't do this Rory. Please. "
" He was going to kill you! " she said her voice rough with a growl, sounding like how a panther would if it could talk as it roared.
" And I was going to let him if it meant saving you and Trixie. "
" He doesn't deserve to live! "
" Sweetheart. Look at me. "
Rory did and she paused as she watched her father's face change to the one that hers was changing into.
" Is this what you want? To look like this? It's what I turned myself into when I thought of myself as a monster. "
" Your not a monster Lucifer! " he turned and froze, he had forgotten that Trixie was there as well.
" Trixie. " he spoke brokenly.
" Your not a monster! He is! He hurt Rory. He killed my daddy. " Trixie cried, her tears pouring down her face breaking Lucifer's heart further,
Le Mec gasped and Lucifer knew he couldn't waste any more time on this, he turned back to Rory.
" Rory, please Darling. I know what your feeling. I felt the same when a friend died in my arms. But your mother talked me down and I didn't kill the man that killed my friend. And I know it's hard to stop wanting to kill this bastard, but you have to let him go. We can hand him over to your mother so that she can put him in a time out and let him think about what he's done. He'll get his punishment when he dies. Please let him go. We need to get your sister out of that cage and tend to your mother. "
That seemed to break her out of it.
" What happened to mom? "
" She's fine. She'll be better if I can get her daughters to her safely. Now come on, you can show me what those beautiful wings of yours can do. Let him go first though. "
Rory's face slowly went back to normal as she gave a final jaguar-like growl and tossed Le Mec away in an unmoving heap. She turned to him and hugged him.
" He was going to kill you. " she repeated, tears running down her face.
Lucifer hugged her back, running his hand down her hair, " Shhhh..It's alright. I'm alright. Everything's alright. Shhh. " he soothed.
They stayed that way for a bit longer before pulling away and Lucifer looked at her with wonder and amazement,
" What? " she asked, wiping her eyes.
" You called me dad. " he said smiling, getting a bit teary eyed himself.
" Did I? Oh, I thought I said Daammnn! " she replied with a watery grin.
" No you said dad. " Dan said smiling next to the cage.
" We were having a moment Dan! " they said, giving him matching glares, causing him to laugh.
" Yeah, she's definitely yours man. "
" Let's just get T out of there. Scoot back T. " Rory said as she came over and with a single swing, the cage broke off at an angle and slid down with a loud clang.
" That was soo cool! " Trixie exclaimed as she stood up and turned to Lucifer and Rory, holding out her hands for Rory so that she could cut the ropes, but her eyes widened just as Dan shouted,
" Look out! "
" AHHHH! " Le Mec had gotten back up and threw the bladed feather at them, Dan jumped in front of it on instinct, as Lucifer pulled Rory away at the same time he was reaching to pull Trixie out of the way, but the blade went passed his hand just as he made the move and it went just mere centimeters by his fingertips and right into Trixie's side,
" Nooo! " Lucifer, Rory, and Dan shouted before Trixie collapsed from the blow. Lucifer caught her before she could hit the sharp bars of the cage as Rory roared and went after Le Mec, who ran out of the room, grabbing another feather on his way out.
" Trixie! Come on child open your eyes! Come on now, don't do this to your mother, don't do this to me. Or to Maze. Oh Dad damn it! Trixie! " Lucifer pleaded with her, looking at the wound with watery eyes.
" Please don't let her die Lucifer. " Dan pleaded, he was crying now.
Lucifer quickly thought of a way to save Trixie's life and unfurled his left wing, pulled a feather out, pulled the blade out of Trixie's side at the same time, blood poured out of her side. He refurled his wing.
" Oh Jesus man! You made it worse! " Dan exclaimed as Lucifer placed his feather on her wound. It glowed so brightly that Dan had to shield his eyes. When he looked again, the wound was gone and so was the blood.
Lucifer shrugged his jacket off; broke the roped on her wrists and ankles with just a tug, they snapped like twigs, and covered her with it after checking her pulse and breathing.
" Stay with her, if anything changes, come find me. " Lucifer took off after his daughter and Le Mec.
" Luce. " Eve said as he came out, he saw that Chloe was disorientated from blood loss.
" Chloe. Set her down. " Lucifer unfurled his wing again and once more placed a feather to Chloe's wound. Eve looked away from the bright light and when she looked back the wound and blood was gone, Chloe was regaining her senses.
" Lucifer? What happened? Where are our girls? "
" Trixie was hurt. " he began,
" What! Where is that son of a bitch?! " Chloe tried to stand, but Lucifer gently, but firmly kept her still.
" She's fine. Daniel's with her...no, not like that I swear Honey! She's alive. " Lucifer held her and kissed the top of her head reassuringly as tears welled up in her eyes.
" Take this. " Chloe said pulling away a moment later, holding her gun out to him.
" Chloe... "
" Eve is here with me. She has a shotgun. You need to find Le Mec and Rory. He most likely has one of her feathers. With this you can get him before he can get you. Please. "
Lucifer took her gun and nodded, " I'll bring her back to us. " he said, kissing her forehead as he stood, he looked to Eve. She looked back and nodded, he returned it and took off to find his daughter and Le Mec.
" Eve. Take me to Trixie. " Chloe requested and Eve helped her up to get to her oldest daughter. When they entered the room that Le Mec had kept her daughters in, she saw the bloody feathers on the floor and table, Chloe was disgusted by the sight and smell of her youngest daughter's blood she threw up.
" Easy. " Eve soothed.
" That son of a bitch is lucky I'm down right now. Otherwise I'd be out there hunting him down with Lucifer and R...oh god, Trixie! " Chloe went to the girl on her own when she saw her on the ground covered in Lucifer's jacket.
" Trixie? Baby can you hear me? It's mommy Monkey. Can you hear me? " Chloe pleaded, tears in her eyes as she held her oldest.
Trixie groaned and opened her eyes, Chloe gasped, Trixie's brown eyes were swirling with red strikes.
" Mom? " she mumbled and the red faded away.
" Yeah Monkey. I'm right here, Eve's here too. Maze is outside waiting for backup. Daddy's here too. "
" Where's Lucifer and sis? " she mumbled, sitting up and that was when Chloe, Eve, and Dan saw that she had beautiful tyrian purple wings, similar to Lucifer's and Rory's shape but smaller, spring from behind her.
" What the hell? " Dan questioned.
" What's going on? " Eve asked confused.
" I think we've changed the time loop. Rory didn't mention any of this. Eve, can you see Dan like Lucifer and Maze can? "
" Yes. " Eve said as she looked to Dan.
" Dan, what did Lucifer do when he saved Trixie? "
" He used one of his feathers. "
" He did the same thing that he did for you Chloe. " Eve answered.
" Okay. " Chloe stood and stepped back, " I'm going to try something. " she closed her eyes and moved her shoulders like how she had seen Lucifer and Amenadiel do to unfurl their wings. She felt a tug and heard Eve, Trixie, and Dan gasp. Opening her eyes, she saw Dan again and so did Trixie, she was looking at him, but he and Eve were looking at her.
Chloe looked behind her in wonder and amazement as she saw beautiful red wings like Rory's only hers weren't blades they were just feathers. They were similar in shape to Lucifer's and Rory's like how Trixie's is but not quiet as small or as big as Lucifer's and Rory's.
" Eve. May I borrow your shotgun? " Chloe asked a little too sweetly for Dan's liking. She turned back to them and Dan jumped back a bit as he saw her eyes flash royal turquoise.
" Uh sure. Here ya go. "
" Thanks Eve. Stay with Trixie please. " And with a single beat of her wings, Chloe was up and out of the room.
" What the hell just happened? " Dan asked looking at Eve and Trixie, who was still staring him wide eyed.
" Hey Monkey. " he said as he bent down to her.
" Daddy? " Trixie got choked up again and started crying again, Eve went to her and held her for Dan because he couldn't.
With Luci, Rory, and Le Mec
Lucifer walked through the maze; pun not intended, of containers looking for his daughter and Le Mec.
" You might as well give it up Le Mec! Your not getting out of this in one piece now. If that! It was bad enough that you kidnapped two of the few people I care and love most in this world. You made it worse when you hurt them. And you not only pissed me off, you also pissed off my daughter and she's got both my and her mother's temper. And it's rather quiet obvious to me, that she doesn't take too kindly to those that hurt her loved ones. She gets that from both me and her mother. " he said as he moved around the large space, stepping over the dead or unconscious bodies of the goon that tried to stop him, Chloe, Maze, and Eve just minutes ago.
" And seeing as I haven't found her yet, I'm going to assume that she's hunting you. Which I don't blame her for doing. In fact, I'm rather proud of her. I used to hunt the guilty, the bad, and the evil myself once upon a time. Still do in fact. Part of my job being the King of Hell and all that. But you Mecky, you got the Princess of Hell hunting you right now and she's got her mother's determination as well as her stubbornness. And if I'd been a weaker man, like you. I would've killed you the moment I saw how you had treated Rory. " Lucifer moved around like he had seen Chloe do when they'd take down a suspect as he spoke out to Le Mec, keeping his back to the containers, not wanting to give Le Mec the chance to sneak up and stab him in his back.
" Rory, I know your pissed at him sweetheart, but your sister is fine and she is safe. You don't have to hunt him down like how Maze taught you to in your time. And if you think your pissed, you've got nothing on your mother or me for that matter. Trixie may not be my daughter by blood like you are, but I still love and care about that little Urchin like she is. "
Lucifer kept listening and looking for either of the two, he heard a faint rustle of wings and thought that it was Rory, or maybe it was his brother because he hadn't heard the familiar jingle of metal that he had come to associate with Rory.
He heard a scuffle nearby and rushed to the sound, keeping his back to the container, he saw that somehow Le Mec had gotten Rory pinned to one container with her feather to her neck, Lucifer's eyes flashed red and he fired into Le Mec's arm, giving Rory the chance to punch him in the face and knee him in the nuts before punching him in the gut, and tossing him away like a rag doll.
She turned back to her father, her left eye glowed red/black as she looked back at him, her right eye remaining dark brown.
" Like I didn't already know that you love me and T? " she said with a grin, coming towards him, her eye returned to normal as they met in the middle and hugged again.
" That's my girl. " he said kissing the top of her head as he hugged her.
" I love you dad. " she muttered as she hugged him back.
" I love you too Princess. " he said with a shuddered breath.
" I am not a Princess. " she huffed in mock annoyance.
" You are to me. And technically you are a Princess. What with your father being the King of Hell and all. " he chuckled.
" And what does that make mom? The Queen? " she teased.
" Yes. I suppose it does. "
He felt her tighten her hold before shouting, " Dad, look out! " she turned him around just as a shotgun blast sounded and a body dropped to the floor.
Both Lucifer and Rory looked to see the body there with another of her feathers in his hand and Chloe further up from the body, looking better then she had just several minutes ago.
" Well, your looking better Love. " Lucifer commented with a loving smile.
" Thanks to you I am. " she said as she walked towards them, a relieved and loving smile on her face before joining them in the hug they were having. Tears started running down her face as she held them tighter.
" Don't cry Honey. We're fine. And we're safe. " Lucifer muttered soothingly to her.
" I know. It's just the hormones kicking in! " she laughed.
" Will you be having any of those weird cravings I've read about? " he asked.
" I did when I was pregnant with Trixie. But I'm not sure what they'll be now seeing as I'm having Satan's child. " she teased.
" Well, I guess we really did make Rosemary's baby didn't we?...Ohhh! If you take out the four letters in the middle, you get Rory! "
" I think he just made a lame dad joke. " Rory laughed, " Even if it is true. " she continued.
" Ha. Ha. " he huffed.
A shuffling drew all three's attention back to Le Mec. They all turned to face him just as that bitch that Chloe knocked out came from where Chloe had come from and she had a bloody feather in her hand.
Rory growled at her, her eye flashing, Chloe saw this and said, " I take it that she's the one who pulled your feathers out? "
" And shot me with a damn rhino tranquilizer four damn times. "
" Still gotta say I'm impressed kid. Your pretty damn tough. " the woman said, a wild look in her eyes.
" You should meet my mother...Oh wait you have and she kicked your ass! "
" ARGHHH! " the woman charged at them as Chloe fired the shotgun again and half of the woman's head was blown off.
" Nice shot Honey! " Lucifer cheered.
" Nobody hurts my family. " Chloe said as Le Mec shouted in rage as he charged at them, they turned around but saw that he was too close, he had snuck up while they were distracted by the woman.
But at the same time in a slow motion like way, as Lucifer aimed the gun at Le Mec to stop him from stabbing his daughter, Rory's face turned full She-Devil, her eyes blazing as she unfurled her left wing towards Le Mec as Lucifer fired two shots and Le Mec stopped as though he were a demon that Lucifer froze in a hell loop with his mouth open in a silent scream and the feather in his left hand raised to kill.
Chloe looked from his frozen state to Rory, her face was similar to her father's Devil face only she still had her hair, which looked kinda fried with the sides of her mouth having holes with a small patch stretching like a tendon on the larger of the two holes giving the illusion that she had six holes instead of four.
" Did you freeze him? " Chloe asked shakily as Le Mec was just too close to Lucifer and Rory for her liking.
Rory was breathing deeply, sounding like a pissed off king cobra. Lucifer was also breathing deeply as he answered,
" I can only freeze demons and the hell loops. Amenadiel can freeze humans in time..." Lucifer looked to her in wonder before a sickening 'slick' sound drew his and her attention back to Le Mec and they watched as one part of his body slid off the other and dropped to the floor at an angle before the other part followed.
" I've only seen that done in the movies. " Lucifer commented looking at Rory, who still had her left wing out in a striking pose. He gently rubbed her shoulder to sooth her as he spoke,
" He's dead sweetheart. You can relax now. Your safe. We are safe. "
Rory slowly relaxed, refurling her wing as she turned to her parents in shame. She wouldn't look at either of them.
Chloe reached for her, dropping the shotgun and placing her hands on her cheeks, making her look at her, " Don't you dare be ashamed of what you did. You were protecting yourself, your dad, and me. "
Rory sighed, but it came out like a cobra's hiss.
" Your mother's right Rory. You were only protecting yourself and us. " Lucifer added as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
" So I'm not a monster? " she asked finally, her voice sounded sort of like the possessed girl from the first exorcist movie, scratchy but not as deep.
" If there's a monster here. It's that piece of shit over there and over there...and right there. " Lucifer said, pointing to Le Mec, the bitch, and the man.
" They are the monsters Baby. Not you. Okay? " Chloe leaned in, giving her a kiss to her burned forehead as she gently rubbed her cheeks as though she might hurt her with how the burns looked and wiping away the tears that weren't there. Chloe smiled despite herself and said with a watery smile,
" You have your father's Devil eyes and face. "
" You always said I looked like dad. " Rory smiled too before she hugged her. Her She-Devil face slowly faded away to normal the longer she was being held and soothed by both her parents.
" I'm sorry Dad. " Rory said, pulling away from Chloe and looking up at Lucifer.
" Why on earth are you apologizing child? You did nothing wrong. "
" But I went full Devil. "
" Darling that was not full Devil. It was only your She-Devil face. Besides, this is full Devil mode. "
" Whoa! " Rory gasped as her father's upper body morphed twice it's size with his white shirt becoming tatters as burns, ridges, indents, bone spurs in the middle of his back and large dragon-like wings sprouted from his back, yellowed sharp claws at his hands, his head was void of hair with deep indents in the side of his skull with hell-fire eyes blazing, all took place of his human torso.
" AHHHHHHHH! " a girlish scream came out of nowhere.
" It's alright Trixie! It's just Luci..fer...Dan? " Chloe turned expecting to see her oldest daughter but only saw Dan with a frightened look and an arm out with a finger pointing at Lucifer.
Lucifer rolled his eyes, " Manly as ever Daniel. Or should I call you Danielle? " he said with amusement in his voice causing Rory to snort in her laughter,
" Honey! She's got your laugh! " Lucifer gushed.
" I do not snort when I laugh, that's you. " Chloe replied in mock annoyance as she lightly shoved his shoulder.
" I do not. " Lucifer was back to normal now as his Devil form was making Daniel mute and immobile.
" I actually do have mom's laugh. I've heard her snort as she laughs. " Rory added with a matching mischievous grin like her dad's.
" What's wrong Dan? " Chloe asked as she shook her head at the two, smiling at their antics. Lucifer looked at her with curiosity and slight suspicion before turning back to Dan,
" I-uh-I came to tell you guys that the fire is getting worse and that you need to get out. Eve already got Trixie out, keeping her wings covered with Lucifer's jacket... "
" Her wings?! " Lucifer and Rory exclaimed.
" T doesn't have wings in my time...How is that possible? "
" Do I have wings in your time? " Chloe asked.
" No. You are on your deathbed in my time. "
" Chloe? " Lucifer asked, more curious now about what had happened when he left her and Trixie to help Rory.
" I'll tell you guys later, right now we need to get out of here and show Trixie how to hide her wings before someone sees them. "
Lucifer nodded, holding her to that as they ran out of the burning building and to Maze, Eve, and Trixie. Maze was hugging Trixie like crazy, happy to see that she was okay and when she saw Rory, she ran to her and hugged her too with the same relief, love, and happiness that she did with Trixie.
" Mom! Lucifer! Big sis! " Trixie exclaimed just as happily to see her family and joined in on the hugging.
" What happened to your shirt Lucifer? " she asked as she noticed the missing shirt.
" I showed Rory my full Devil form. I understand that you have your own set of wings Urchin. " he replied.
" Yeah! Their kinda purplish. See? " she moved the jacket off enough to show him.
" I do. And they are lovely. But we can't have them out right now. Because the cavalry is coming. " Lucifer gestured to the sirens and vehicles coming towards them.
" Okay. So how do I make them disappear? "
" Roll your shoulders up and backward. " he instructed and watched as she did as he instructed and the wings were gone.
" Well done Urchin! Can't wait to teach little Rory that when her wings come in! " he said with pride.
" Which you can do now because your going to be here for it. " Chloe agreed hugging him to her as she hugged Trixie back to her and he hugged Rory and her to him and she in turn hugged Trixie.
There was a white 1970's bronco at the head of the group of cars that slammed on it's breaks, several feet away in front of them, Chloe and Lucifer could see that Carol was there in the passenger seat, looking as white a sheet and holding on for dear life. Ella got out of the driver's side and ran to the group, trying to grasp them all in a hug.
" I heard that sicko Le Mec had Trixie and another girl on the police radio's. Are you and the girl I seen at the wedding okay? " Ella asked as she pulled away looking Trixie over and then to Rory.
" For the most part. " Chloe replied.
" Oh god they didn't...? " Ella asked, thinking the worst.
" If they had touched or Uncle A forbid raped us. Forget what Auntie Maze and Auntie Eve would do. Mom and Dad would've torn them all apart. " Rory said.
" I would've turned them to ash sweetheart. Your mother would've torn them apart. " Lucifer replied with a growl, his eyes flashing red for a brief second.
" That was awesome! But seriously, guys? " Ella said, wanting answers for what Rory just said.
Chloe took a breath, " Ella, this Aurora. Rory for short and she is mine and Lucifer's daughter from the future. And she also happens to be here inside my womb as we speak. "
Ella stood and looked at her before looking over at Rory and saw the incredible resemblance between her and Lucifer.
" So time travel is real too? "
" It is for me. I self-actualized myself here to find my father and kill him for putting me and Mom through so much pain and for what I thought was abandoning us. But I was wrong about how I thought Dad didn't love her or me or T. He was going to let that son of a bitch kill him to save us. Which is probably what happened before, but with just Trixie instead of just the two of us. "
" I told you I would never abandon you or your mother. I am not my father. And how could you think that I didn't love you, your mother, or your sister? "
" I know that now Dad. And you did let me shoot you with that peacemaker a couple days ago. " Rory smiled up at him.
" And in the same spot your mother shot me in a few years ago. " Lucifer replied with a matching smile.
" Oh my god! She's a girl version of you Lucifer! " Ella gushed.
" She's not all me Miss Lopez. She's half her mother too. " Lucifer said proudly as he looked to Chloe, Trixie and Rory, hugging them tighter to him.
" She's the best of both of us. And we couldn't be more prouder of her and Trixie. "
Carol finally came over.
" Ah, Carl, " Lucifer started.
" Carol. " Carol corrected.
" Whatever. Did you finally get over Miss Lopez's driving? Though you should have my daughter drive you around sometime. "
" You let her drive the Corvette? " Chloe asked in surprise.
" It's mine in my time. Though now I know where that scratch came from now. " Rory smiled.
" Daughter? " Carol asked confused.
" Well she's the adult version of the baby that's inside Chloe's stomach right now. " Lucifer elaborated, taking a swig of his whiskey, that he pulled out of his jacket, Rory grabbed it before he could put the lid back on and took a swig herself.
" Mmm. I needed that. " she said giving it back, looking at Carol as he looked at her in disbelief.
" Aren't you a little young to be drinking? " he asked.
" I'm older than I look. And after the night I've had? I think I deserve a good drink. "
" Agreed. Unfortunately, your mother can't have any alcohol for the next...uh, is it 8 months or the full 9 months?...The fighting didn't do anything to her did it? And neither can Trixie. But I'm sure a double chocolate cake would do the trick. Well deserved. "
" Fighting? " Carol asked looking at them.
" Yeah fighting. We went in there to get our girls. " Maze answered, " Chloe was a total badass in there. " she complimented, smacking her on the ass.
" I was getting my babies back. " Chloe said, " And don't worry Lucifer, I made sure to keep the punches and blades away from my stomach. "
" But what about the stress of the situation? Isn't that bad for the baby? "
" Ms. Decker... "
" Detective. She's coming back to the LAPD after this. " Lucifer corrected Carol.
" You are?! Yes! I get my fam back! " Ella exclaimed happily hugging them again.
" Okay, Detective Decker. Maybe you and your daughter, "
" Daugh-ter-s. She has two now, not just the one. "
Carol ignored Lucifer's interruption, " Should go and get checked out from the paramedics. Along with Ms. uh, "
Rory grinned sideways while looking at her parents and answered, " Morningstar. My name is Aurora Morningstar. And I am the daughter of the Devil himself. " with pride as she leaned into her father's side smiling.
" Uh, alright. Ms. Morningstar, Ms. Decker, Detective Decker. Would it be alright if the paramedics checked you all out? Just to be safe. " Carol quickly amended at the look Lucifer gave him. He thought the man was just some loon, but when it came to these kids and Chloe, he quickly became a papa bear.
" You should go mom. T and me are fine, " Rory saw that Carol was about to protest, " My sister and me are fine Detective. Those bastards didn't rape us. If they did, you wouldn't be finding bodies and living people in there. Well you might, but they'd be in pieces. We were mostly just shook up. " Rory continued.
" Mom's pregnant and would need to be looked at. Want me to hold your jacket for you mom? " she finished, looking to Chloe.
" If you don't mind sweetie. " Chloe handed her the jacket, the feather had missed the top of the tank that give away that she had been stabbed.
" Not at all. How about I take T home?...You can ask us what happened later I'm sure. " Rory said looking at Carol who looked about to say something else.
" We'll give you our version tonight and tomorrow you can come by my apartment to get Trixie's and Rory's statement. " Chloe said.
" Perfect! See you tomorrow Carl, "
" Carol. " Carol corrected again.
" Come on T...Oh! Dad, can I have the keys? "
" Are you going to drive the Corvette to the max again? "
" Not with T in the car. She's still too young for that kind of driving. And besides, Mom would kill us both if I did any doughnuts in the middle of the street. "
" True. Go get yourselves something to eat on the way home. Your mother and I will be along as soon as we can. And be sure to get that double chocolate cake for your sister. There's money in side pocket of the jacket. " Lucifer tossed her the keys, which she caught with ease.
" Thanks dad. Want me to get you and mom something too? "
" Detective? "
" No. I'm not hungry right now. I'll eat later though, I promise. "
" Dad? "
" I'll eat when she does. "
" You two are such worry warts. "
" Are not! " they said.
" Just be careful and no speeding Rory or any crazy stunts. " Chloe reminded as she made her way to the ambulance.
" I know Mom! " Rory shouted as she and Trixie walked away with her arm around Trixie's shoulders.
" Uncross your fingers young lady! "
" Damn it! "
Ella was smiling from ear to ear at how they all were. Especially Lucifer. But then again, even before all the supernatural stuff became real, Ella knew that Lucifer would be a good dad one day given how she had seen him with Trixie.
As she left to be with Chloe, she heard Carol and Lucifer, she had to hide her laugh of Carol asking, " So, how did you lose your shirt during this impromptu rescue? "
She heard Lucfier say something about going full Devil to make his daughter not feel like a monster when she showed her She-Devil face as she took Le Mec down. She decided to warn Chloe about it, but figured that Chloe would already be coming up with something to explain away the odd things in there to go along with Lucifer's statement.
" Hey girl. How are you and baby doing? " she asked her as the paramedics finished checking her out.
" Well my blood pressure's up just a tiny bit from the adrenaline. A few bruises and minor cuts. They want to take me to the hospital to do an ultrasound to check on baby Rory and I told them I wasn't going without Baby Daddy. "
" I'll tell Carol to come by the hospital then after he gets done with Maze and Eve. "
" Lucifer telling him the truth about what happened in there? "
" Yeah. Want me to stop by Lux to grab him a shirt so the nurses and doctors won't be hitting on him? "
" They'd hit on him with or without his shirt. But I'm not worried about it, he'd politely turn them down and they would most likely leave the moment he said the words 'My pregnant girlfriend needs me.' " Chloe laughed.
" That's usually a good deterrent for grabby hands. " Ella agreed.
" So how are things with you and Carol? "
" So far so good. You know I asked Lucifer to help me decide on him as well? "
" Did you two break into his apartment? "
Ella wouldn't look her in eye.
" Oh you did! Does Carol know? "
" Yeah. But I only told him that I did after Lucifer tried to set me up 'bad' Carol. "
" That's my Lucifer. Always trying to help others find their happiness... "
" What? "
" I think I know what he's calling is. "
" Everything alright Darling? " Lucifer asked as he came over, kissing her on the cheek.
" They want to take me to the hospital... "
" Oh my brother are you alright? What about baby Rory?! Did something happen to her?! "
" Lucifer! Babe, calm down! " Chloe rested one hand on his shoulder and grabbed his hand with the other, calming him down enough to listen to her before he went into full panic mode,
" They can't check baby Rory with the equipment they have here in the ambulance. The hospital has the ultrasound machine that can. It's all normal procedure. But I think that she's just fine anyway. " Chloe said with a knowing smile.
" Ah, right because she's...right. " he chuckled embarrassed.
" Nothing to be embarrassed about Babe. Your just being a great daddy. "
" And you are already a great mummy. " he leaned in and kissed her passionately.
" I'll go and tell Carol to meet you guys at the hospital. " Ella said as they pulled away and leaned their foreheads against each other while running their hands on the other's arms and shoulders lovingly before the paramedics came and said that they were ready to head out with Chloe.
