It was a cold night in the village hidden in the leaves. When the wind touched my skin I felt a chill come up my spine. I headed for the hokage's office only to find that he wasn't there. I figured it was because of his son that was due to be born today. Only a select number of people knew of it. This was because the hokage wanted Kushina's and his relationship a secret. I only knew through my father who was a good friend of minito. He would be standing guard along with me and the ambu stationed there. My father had told me that he and Minto became friends because My father was the only one who could match his speed. In a fight speed would not matter between the two, It would come down to who was more skilled. The leaf's Yellow Flash and Black Death. Those were the nicknames given to Minato and my father. I heard that the whole third great shinobi war ended because of the two. After telling the lady in the place of Minito I had finished my mission I rushed to the location of my station. The Hokage requested there be extra people stationed at the site because of the nine tails seal being weakened. As I made my way to my post jumping trees at an outstanding rate I noticed the sky take a dark turn from clear blue to a dark orange. The feeling I was getting was not pleasant. After two minutes I had Arrived at the place where the hokage's son was to be born. Minito was like an uncle to me. With him and my father being so close he was over a lot. My dad told me how Minito was given the position of my godfather when My older sister was born. I was really looking forward to seeing the baby being born. Walking to the entrance I was stopped by two Ambu members wearing dog masks.
"What is a child like you doing out here?" questioned one of the members. This kind of reaction was not new for me. I was only 13, making me the youngest Anbu member except for Itachi Uchiha, the only one of the Uchiha family I enjoyed talking to. In my opinion the Uchiha were a whole bunch of self-righteous pricks who thought that since they were born with sharingan they were gods. Itachi being the only exception I've met. Itachi and I had been close since I was 10. He had told me about his newborn brother sasuke who was born two months ago. I really hoped that sasuke was like his older brother. So when my little brother Kaian was born the three of them would get along.
"You know, You guys should know an ambu member when you see one." I reply in a calm but irritated voice. Even through their masks I could see that the ambu members were shocked at my age. Saying nothing more they returned to their positions in the trees. As I made my way to the front of the gate I could hear Kusina's screams. My mom had told me about the pain of childbirth making me glad I wasn't a female. Plus with all the mood swings females had when they were on their cycle it would seem troublesome. Looking back up to the sky I noticed that it was still becoming a darker orange, I was starting to tense up. It was like something bad was about to happen but I did not know what? Minutes later Kushina's screams were replaced by the cries of a newborn baby. This made me smile. I was really happy for Uncle Minito and aunt Kusina. I knew that they would be awesome parents. That feeling of happiness was soon replaced by the feeling of anxiety. Someone was here. Immediately the Anbu members jumped for their hiding positions. In the dark I could manges a figure. It seemed to be male. The attacker was wearing a black cloak that covered his whole body. He had a Yellow mask with one eye hole visible. In the eye of the man was a deep red with a pupil that looked like a throwing star. It was the Mangekyo sharingan. The man swiftly took out the Anbu members like they were regular genin. This man was the real deal. With this information I activated my Sekigan. When I locked eyes with the man charging at me I could feel my soul stretch from my body. Suddenly we were in my Yamigan. I would not let him hurt the baby or kushina. Not wasting any time I weaved hand seals for the lightning armor jutsu. Onced it was activated I rushed at the masked man's soul that was now trapped in seals. Using my knowledge on weak points I struck fast. I had to be smart on where I stuck because I only set my time limit to 5 seconds. When I was done, the masked man's soul was returned. The hits he took in the Yamigan were dealt to his physical form. The masked man gasped in pain. Losing his ground. When I saw the opening I rushed at the man. As I tried to stab him with my kunai it phased through his body. In my shock I left myself open. The masked man wasted no time taking advantage of this. The masked man then kicked me in the gut followed by a stab to my shoulder. This left me defenseless against him. I knew I needed to warn the fourth about this man. I activated my future skip seeing where I would end up in 10 seconds. I teleported to that spot,which was almost inside of the cave. I knew my work was over as the fourth and my father could see me. Before I had time to speak the masked man kicked me hard in sending me flying from my spot to the wall. I could feel the blood start to rise in my mouth. Not wanting to swallow it, I coughed it up. This was all the motivation my father needed as he engaged the masked man. Before my father would do anything the masked man had already teleported away before repairing in front of kushina. The masked man then took the baby and then began to speak.
" I would be a shame if this baby had to die so early." the masked man said in a harsh voice. I noticed the look on the fourths face change to pure anger. Emidenty he teleported to the newborn taking his child from the masked man. I was relieved that came to an end when I noticed there were paper bombs on the child. Lucky the fourth noticed this and threw the blanket covering the newborn. However before anyone could act the masked man took Kushina. Everyone but the fourth was shocked. Waiting no time he teleported the baby and my dad to a new location. Then the nasua hit me. I had so much adrenaline built up that I didn't realise that I had been stabbed. I didn't even notice that the man had stabbed me. I tried to stay awake but my body would not obey. The last thing I saw were medical ninja coming to my aid.
I woke to the sun shining bright in my eyes. As I look to see where I am I notice that I'm in a hospital. As I look to my right I see my mother. She has short red hair like kushina since she is a uzumaki. My mother casm to the village around the same time Kushina did so they got along well. When I look at Her I notice the swelling in her belly is no longer there. This makes me puzzled as My brother was due to be born in six days. My mother smiles in my shock.
"Little Kaian was born a bit earlier than we expected." She said in a cheerful voice this shocked me a little. I didn't think that babies could be born sooner than expected. Suddenly I feel weight on my stomach and when I look to see what it is I notice that it is a little child reaching for me. The child had white hair that had grown a bit. I could also make out the gray eyes when it looked at me. The child then starts laughing seeing that I'm awake and looking at it
"Is this kaian?" I asked as I reached out to grab the baby. My mother doesn't say anything but nods. Happiness floods me. It was the gleam in my little brother's eyes that made me want to protect him with my life. I silently vowed to protect him, to help him grow into an awesome ninja and even greater than my dad and me. Looking at my brother made all of the previous night's events come slapping me in my face. Questions started boiling up in my mind but the first one I could think of was that of Minitos son.
"Mom, what happened to Minito,Kushina, and dad?" I asked in a calm manner. Her face suddenly changed to that of pure sadness. No that could not have been the case. I started to lose my calm. There was no way they could have lost to that man. My mother would not even look at me. Tears started rolling down my cheeks. I had lost my sister a year ago due to an illness she had and now I had lost my father and two people that were like family to me. Before I could depare even further I remembered the baby.
"What of the child?" I asked in a desperate tone. I could somehow cope with the death of the others but if that child was killed I would lose it completely. This was all a lot to take in. I wish I was there.
"The child is okay. The nine tails got loose but the fourth died, sealing it in his son." My mother said in almost a whisper. It was at that moment I knew that that masked man was going to pay for what he did. I would make sure he died a slow painful death. Taking one look at my brother sleeping in my stomach I smiled. I would not lose him or the fourth kid too.
"What was his name?" I asked, having claimed down. My mother didn't say anything for a few seconds before saying
"Naruto Uzumaki." She replied. Naruto Uzumaki I thought. What a great name.
