Summary: From Osiris Red to Dark World, Juudai's life underwent a huge change.
Once, he'd enjoyed the sparseness of Osiris Red. He'd slept deeply on the thin mattress, devoured the inexpensive meals with the greatest of gusto, and frequently woke with the sun in his eyes, while any of his roommates went out of their way to avoid that.
That had been before. Now he slept lightly, on a mattress so thick and soft that any member of Obelisk Blue would be envious of him. Each meal set before him was sumptuous beyond words, including items even those of that high-ranking dorm had never seen before. At least he didn't think they had. It wasn't as if they told him what their meals were like, and now he didn't care. But all he had to do now was indicate what he'd care to eat, and within two cycles of the comet - close enough to two days - he had it.
He'd tried that once, out of curiosity. He'd ordered something he'd only vaguely heard of, made no threats at all, and within two days, it was set before him, cooked flawlessly, and every bit as delicious as he'd heard.
He didn't often do something like that. He had too much to do working on getting this world under his control and learning how it worked. He couldn't slack off here. Here he didn't have to worry about the sun shining in his eyes because there wasn't a sun at all. He awoke at a reasonable approximation of dawn and didn't go back to bed until he'd accomplished all that he set out for himself for that day.
If he didn't do it, then someone else would. Someone who couldn't be trusted. Juudai wouldn't allow that. Not now and not ever. This world would feel his wrath.
