A/N: I am so glad you guys like this story, and that those who reviewed left such beautiful words, were just very encouraging. I was nervous going with this pair, but I love writing Hermione fiction, and let's face it the man who played Aquaman in the movie is not bad on the eyes either. I am just writing what I feel for this pair... What did you guys think of Fang, named after Hagrids dog?

Disclaimer: I still own nothing, except my imagination.

Chapter Two-A Month Later

He couldn't seem to keep the woman out of his mind and found himself seeking her out whenever he was in town. So far one of his father's old friends, Joe, who he knew from other townspeople often gave the woman rides. When he asked the older man about where she lived, the other man just smiled shaking his head, with some excuse about his wife would skin him alive if he shared the young woman's info without the woman's protection.

He was looking in the back of the market, looking for the big case of his favorite beer, so he could return home. "He Henry, where-"

"He Fang, I see you have your satchel equipped, is there a list for me?" Henry, who owned the little market asked, gaining the sea king's attention.

The dog barked in response, as he turned to face, where the large man was revealing were a piece of paper was hanging from his collar.

"Can you believe how smart this pup is, she was the runt of the litter, and Joe was about to let her die when Mia asked if she could keep her," Henry shared, when he noticed Arthur, staring at the dog. He removed the paper, and frowned a little, "I am to give you a treat, once you reached me then add whatever treats you choose, to her total." He laughed out loud, "So what would it be today, Fang?"

Arthur watched as the man walked around the store, adding stuff to a basket, while the dog went in the opposite direction. He raised an eyebrow when the dog walked down the snack aisle and returned to the register with a bog of vanilla wafers. He had expected the dog to find the dog treats, "Interesting dog this one."

The older man laughed, as he opened the box of cookies, and handed his k-9 costumer a couple, "Fang is smart as a whip, Mia, even has her trained to bring medicine to the Connoly's, whenever Milli can't come down, and Joe, can't get down the cliff."

Arthur watched as Henry packed the groceries, on each side of the satchel, then handed another cookie to the pup before adding it to the rest. "She carries all that, on her own. Why doesn't her owner come down?"

"Miss Avery works from home during the day and doesn't leave her house, until all she needs to do is done," Answer the older man, as he unzipped a pocket from the side, and smiled when he pulled out a couple of bottles with the money. "I think she makes herbs, and home remedy's as a job. She always sends a couple of these seasonings, and people have been buying my marinated meats faster than I could put them out. Just a small dash, works for 20 pounds of meat, just add water these herbs do their thing. I even heard Mrs Malligan saying that she bot a marinated steak from me three weeks, and it still tasted as if it was just freshly killed, and chopped."

Those words caused the Atlantian king to get angry, thinking that some stranger was trying to get an easy dollar, on these people he grew up and eventually swear to protect, "How dare she charge you for her salt and water-"

Henry shook his head, and smiled down at Fang, who started to growl, "She is richer than Bruce Banner, in that Gotham place, she does it from the kindness of her heart. She baby sits for Jolene, and Rick, every Friday so they could have a break from the triplets, and the children love her." The small man placed a hand on the other mans shoulder with a little struggle, "She is an added blessing to this town Arthur, and we're all protective of her even though she could fight her own fights I am sure."

Arthur nodded, as a wave of calmness washed over him, noticing that the dog was licking his hand. "I believe I may had been a little rude to her a months ago, perhaps I should apologise."

"No perhaps about it Arthur, you're father tought you better than to be rude to anyone, especially a young woman." Henry started to wave a pointed finger at the large man, causing the large man to back out of his store, "and don't you go using the excuse that she was on your beach. The ocean is a thing that can not be owned, perhaps rules, but not owned." He looked down at the dog, an smiled, "Better go show this man, where your misses lives Fang, he owes her an apology."

and just like that the dog was tugging on his flannel, heading towards the houses on the top of the cliff.

The witch was washing some jars, as she kept an eye out from the window, waiting for her companion. She had taken fang to a magic vet, when she noticed how smart the puppy was, and how fast she was growing compared to her other siblings who were still half her size. They had asked if she happened to use any potions, or spells on the dog when getting her, and the witch nodded her head explaining how the dog was going to die if she hadn't. The vet healer smiled, and explained that it was rare, but some animals could inherit a bit of long term magic from the magic owner.

She smiled when she heard the three barks, indicating that her companion was home, and safe. She waved her hand causing the door to open, since her only other neighbors were a few acres away anyway, and the house was hidden from anyone looking up from the small town, "So what treat did you choose today, hopefully it wasn't a rack of ribs again." She jumped when she heard a deep laugh, and turned to see that her pup had not come alone.

Arthur couldn't help but laugh, at the rib as a treat, imagining the beast of a dog walking through town with a rack of ribs. He also didn't let the door opening by itself go unnoticed, but he was here to apologise so would bring that bit up at another time, "Hello."

She stared at the man cautiously, reaching behind her for a frying pan, not taking her eyes off the man, "Can I help you?"

"I should be the one offering to help you, considering how rude I was when we first met," The large man rested his arm above the doorframe, to show that he wasn't a threat, or at least try to appear so since he was a large man. "My name is Arthur Curry," he reached out his free hand, "I am just protective over this town, and it appears they're protective over you."

"I am Mia Avery," She was about to shake his hand, when he suddenly fell forwards, with his arms glued to his side. She got ready to cast a spell, when to recognized theperson, "Neville, Draco! What are you guys doing using magic around muggles?"

"That was all him, Mia," Neville explained with a roll of his eyes, as he walked into the house, and knelt down to check the large man, "You have to understand the danger you're in, and from our point we see a large massive of a man, blocking-"

"He's not a muggle anyways Otter, I could feel power pouring off of him," The blonde added in a bored tone, "I did what I thought was needed to be done," he waved his hand calling off the binding spell, not even looking at the large man.

Before the witch had a chance to respond, the large man threw the two men across the room, and lifted the girl over his shoulder and practically leapt from her cliff to the lighthouse. He brought the girl into his house, sat her on the sofa, and went to where his tritan was, taking a fighting stance, "You have five seconds to explain what's going on, and who those two men were?" When he didn't hear a response, he turned to find the witch covering her mouth, and fround, "What is so funny, one of those men did some sort of magic on me, and who knows what they would have done to you? Usually I can sense danger, but i felt nothing."

"That's because they thought you were a danger to me, so one of my friends used a bind spell on you, he thought he was protecting me," She out right let out a small laugh this time, and stood to her feet, "So you're really Aquaman, a demigod. Well i am a with, and those two guys are my secret keepers, they are wizards."

He stood up, and stared at the woman, who was starting to fascinate him, "You're from the magical world, i heard the mermaids talking about magical places, but have not been to one myself."

"Yes you have, Atlantia is one of the magical locations, but only your people are able to be there," Corrected the witch, as she stood to her feet, and approached the man,"Please I could get in a lot of trouble if anyone found out I was a witch, or if my friends were wizards."

Just as the Atlantian King was about to responded, his front door exploded, and the same two men entered, both with there sticks pointing at him, "I was unaware that you were only protecting Mia, please fix my door."

"Merlin Draco, haven't you heard of knocking," Hermione just shook her head, as she repaired the damaged door, "I-"

"That time it was Neville," The blonde commented, pointing his finger at the wizard beside him.

Neville actually had the decency to blush, as he tucked his wand into his sleeve, and ran a free hand through his hair, "Sorry about that, thought you were in danger with him taking you over his arm, and running away with you."

"Excuse the intrusion, but you seem to be able to take care of yourself, why would you need protection?" Arthur asked, looking at the witch.

"I can, but the bloody Minister of Magic, and all my friends sent me away to hide, because there are few death-eaters wanting my head," The witch grumbled, turning to look at the two wizards, with narrowed eyes, "Why have you come here?"
