Chapter 4-Three Days Later

Arthur was walking around town, watching as Fang went from shop to shop, exiting with her satchel getting fuller with each shop. He let out a laugh when she exited Henry's with a chicken in her mouth.

"Just imagine, she was the runt of the litter," Joe came up beside the large man, and smiled towards where the dog was heading up the hill, "So I noticed you, and Mia, have been spending a lot of time together."

"She is incredible," Atlantia shook his head, realizing he had said that out loud. He froze when he saw the woman they were talking about, standing on the edge of her cliff staring down at the town, with her camera in hand, "I need to go make sure Fang carries all that stuff up the mountainside, she looks to have a lot."

"Don't make excuses to see her, just go see her," Encouraged Joe, patting the large man on the back.

Arthur looked back up at the cliff, and smiled seeing Fang beside her, "I think I will." He patted his friend on the shoulder, not noticing the man flinch at the impact, as he hurried up towards his destination.

Joe just laughed, when a couple came up beside him, making sure he was alright. "He deserves to find a nice girl."

The witch laughed, as Fang came up beside her, as she shot pictures of the down she was beginning to love. She had her camera zoomed in on the large man, as he talked with one of her other new friends, "Really Fang, no one should have the right to look that good."

"Who shouldn't have the right to look that good, dear?" Came a familiar female voice.

The witch blushed, as she turned to look at the kind woman, "Hello Milli, you scared me and wasn't supposed to hear that," she laughed.

Milli came up beside the younger woman, and stared at the town below, smiling when she caught sight of Arthur, and her husband, "I'll just assume you're talking about Arthur, wouldn't like to think of my chances of Joe staying with me when you're fancying him," she teased, tucking a strand of the young woman's hair behind her ear.

Hermione cupped the slightly older woman's face, and smiled at her, "Joe is a lucky man to have found you, and would be a fool to run after another woman," she wrapped her arms around the woman. "I am also very glad to know both of you."

"Hello ladies, is everything alright?" He grinned, as both women turned their heads, to look towards him, "Hello Mrs. Cooper." His eyes then caught ahold of the younger woman's caramel orbs, "Mia, I thought I would come up here, and see if you'd be interested in making a fire on the beach, and maybe make some smores."

"As long as there are no eggs involved," The witch responded, as she thought of the first time she had breakfast with the large man, and how he went to serve her some of the plated eggs only to knock them on her lap. She smiled as a slight blush appeared on his tanned face.

Flashback

Joyce had brought out four large plates, one filled with scrambled eggs, one filled with ham, another filled with bacon, and the last filled with biscuits with gravy. The older diner owner smiled, at the surprised look of the young woman, "Don't things small portions will keep this boy's appetite satisfied, do you?" She went back to the counter and brought a couple of empty plates for the two. "Enjoy."

Arthur might have seemed brave when he was comforting the witch, and making her laugh at the lighthouse after her friends left, but that was him as a hero. Now he was just Arthur, a man who couldn't keep the beautiful woman off of his mind, ever since seeing her at his beach. "Let me serve you a plate," He manages to fill her plate with some ham, bacon, gravy covered biscuit and had a spoon full of eggs prepared to plate only to end up dumping them on her lap due to his shaking hands.

"Arthur, you missed my plate," The witch laughed, as she looked at her dinner companion, "Perhaps I should have had Fang join us, than she could have eaten some eggs. Seriously though Arthur, are you not feeling well?" She reached to feel his forehead, only to have him take her hand, and bring hold it in his.

"You make me nervous, Mia," He admitted, resting their hand on the table.

Joyce who had witnessed the whole scene, approached the two with a smile, "Everything alright here, would you like some more eggs?"

"I think my laps plenty full now Joyce, thank you though," Teased the witch, as she scooped them onto the plate from her lap.

"I don't mind buying more eggs, Mia, you don't have to eat from your lap," The Sea King explained.

"They landed on my lap, and my lap is clean enough to eat off unless you think I am dirty," Hermione raised an eyebrow, challenging him to say otherwise.

"You always smell clean," Agreed Arthur, closing his eyes when the two women laughed at him, he covered his face with his hands, "Why is it so hard talking to you."

Joyce leaned in and whispered in his ear, "Because you care about her, dear," she smiled back at the witch, before going to help a customer that just came into the cafe.

The witch looked around at the pictures on the wall and smiled as she recognized many of the townspeople, then looked across the table, "I really needed to laugh, thank you."

"Glad to have been the source," Mumbled Arthur.

The two of them ended up just eating in comfortable silence.

End of Flashback

Milli, who had heard about the incident, just patted the young man on the back, "Don't worry, when Joe brought me home to meet his parents, he accidentally dropped a cake on my lap, when trying to cut me a piece." She pulled his face down to kiss his cheek, before dismissing herself, "See you guys later."

Arthur watched as the woman he was falling floor, stuffed Fangs satchel with a sweater, and a bottle of wine, and smiled at him. "So I'll take that as a yes, right?"

"Can I get something out of the way, before we go back to the lighthouse?" Hermione asked, as she slowly approached the large attractive man, "Arthur."

"Sure," He whispered, as she lowered his head down to her level, while she leaned up and met his lips with hers. He didn't respond for a couple of seconds until he felt her about to pull away, only then he wrapped his arms around her waist to deepen the kiss.

She pulled away, and smiled up at him, "We could go now."

He just growled as he lifted her in his large arms, and then carried her into her house, "We could wait?" He sat on the sofa, and brought his mouth back to meet hers, "Let's just stay in for the night."

The witch smiled, as she rested her head on his shoulder for a moment, before shaking her head she stood to her feet, "I want s'mores now."

Arthur laughed, as he allowed himself to be pulled to his feet, and dragged out of her house knowing she used magic to lock it. "Alright, we'll have s'mores then."

To be continued...
