Author's Note

Took a little longer. For some reason, I had an issue coming up with Smile Precure's Special Appeal. Nothing felt right for a good while. Also, I ended up turning the fight a little longer for them. I guess I just had a hard time treating them like idols. The song this time is The Best Smile.

Chapter 4: Smile Small Struggle, Best Smile!

After Soleil captures the first tower, the Smile Precure team begins to rush their way to the next closest tower.

Cure Happy "Alright, we are here!"

As Happy says, they stand on top of a build about one block away.

Cure Beauty "But before that…"

Beauty then looks around them and there are several Negaminions on top of several buildings as well.

March "Well, we got some clean up to do first."

Sunny "Then let's get this started!"

Sunny steps forward and is ready to go.

Peace then tries to stop her "Wa wait! Our goal is the tower. If we get there, then there is no need for us to fight them."

Happy turns around and with a nod "That's right if we do that…"

She looks back and the Negaminion jumps up and is engaging them.

Happy then says "No, I guess we have to fight our way through! Everyone!"

Everyone else "Ooo!"

Everyone jumps forward and starts fighting the Negaminions.

Sunny and March immediately begin their barrage of shots When the energy balls hit the Negaminions, it knocks everyone single one in front of them and opens up a path.

Happy "Now! Let's go!"

When everyone is about to pass through, a Ginka shows up and projects a large shield in front of them. Due to the surprise, all five of them crash into the shield. With Happy in front, everyone else begins to crash onto her, her face is squshed.

Happy "Ow ow ow…"

Ginka then turns the shield into a ball, trapping the cures inside. She then grabs the ball and swings it above her head. Then will full power, she tosses the ball towards the ground. When it hits the ground, it cracks open and causes a small explosion. The cures are on top of each other, with Happy at the bottom.

Happy "Heavy…"

Everyone gets off immediately.

Sunny then comments "You know, how come you are always our cushion?"

Happy retorts "That's what I would like to know!"

Happy stands up as she complains. Afterward, she looks at Ginka.

Everyone does the same and Beauty says "Is that... No, is that a different one?"

Ginka then lands in front of them "I'm surprised you noticed. This one is Ginka twentieth. Anyways, less talk, more battle against this one."

Ginka then closes her wrist together and points her palms at them. She then gathers up her power and forms a black sphere that looks like a metal ball.

Ginka "Shadow Cannon!"

Then as if she actually fires a cannon, there is a sound as well. The cures scatter and a moment after, there is a crater in the middle.

March "Uwaa… getting hit by that is definitely going to hurt."

Peace "And it looks like another is coming at us."

As Peace points out while saying so, Ginka twentieth fires another shot around March and Peace. They avoid it by jump away.

Happy "If that's the case, then we'll just step it up!"

Happy looks back and everyone nods. They regroup and attempt to enter Princess Mode. However, there is no response.

While they are confused, Ginka Twentieth offers to explain "Let this one remind you girls, every Cure has lost about half of the power, remember?"

All five of them "Ahh…"

Beauty then says "So that's why. But then this also means it's possible for us to beat you."

Ginka asks "What do you mean?"

Peace caught on first "Oh, since Strawberry and others did it, we should be able to do it too, right?"

Sunny "Ah! That's right!"

Ginka twentieth smirks at them "Number three fought them by herself. It's a given that she lost. However, this one is different!"

She then continues to fire her cannon at them. At the same time, the Negaminions begin to close in.

Happy "Ahh! Here it is again!"

Beauty materialize her ice sword and leaps in and makes a full swing at the black cannonball. She cuts it in half and the two pieces flew to the side. The Negaminions then turn to Beauty and jumps in at her.

Sunny and March "I won't let you!"

Sunny "Sunny Fire Burning!"

March "March Shoot Impact!"

They attack the Negaminions and opens the path for Beauty to fight Ginka.

Beauty "Hya!"

Ginka quickly forms a sword and defend herself. As their sword clashes, Happy and Peace looks at each other and nod. The two of them begin to run towards the tower. Ginka sees them in her peripheral vision and pushes Beauty back then kicks her away.

Ginka "Not so fast!"

Ginka uses one arm and shoots on a smaller cannon at the two of them.

Beauty "Nnn! Happy! Peace!"

Right before it hits them, the two of them look back and dodges last second. However, they were too close and were knocked aside from the wind pressure. Happy and Peace stands up quickly and looks back at Ginka.

Happy "I guess it's not going to be that easy."

Peace nods "I thought we could just run in and activate the tower."

Happy "If we don't defeat Ginka, then there is no way through huh… Peace!"

Peace smiles "Let's do it!"

Happy and Peace jumps up and starts helping Beauty fighting Ginka. While on the ground, Sunny and March smiles and looks at the Negaminions

Sunny "They started without us."

March "Yeah, I guess it's our job to keep them away now."

Sunny "Yeah, then let me take that group. Since there are more targets over there."

March "Hmm? Are you challenging me?"

Sunny "Hahaha, that's not my intention but… let's do it! I won't lose!"

March "Alright, then get ready… Set, go!"

With March says go, both of them dashes into Negaminions and start having their little contest.

Beauty lands onto the ground and looks at the two of them "Seriously… this isn't the time for that."

Happy and Peace then lands next to Beauty.

Happy "At least we can focus on her."

Peace nods in response.

Ginka frowns "I see, so you girl would do that instead of trying to take this one out first. I was sure that the five of you would focus on this one instead of attacking the Negaminion. A slight miscalculation."

Happy "Miscalculation or not, we'll win and get a happy end."

Ginka "This one won't let you have a happy end."

Ginka then disperses her weapons and starts gathering energy around her with her arms spread out. Several dark spheres begin the form around her.

Ginka "Let me see how you deal with this cannon barrage!"

Ginka waves her arms forward and the spheres shoot out.

Happy and Peace starts dodging the attack and Beauty cuts down the sphere that would be difficult to avoid. Ginka clicks her tongue and Happy leaps in with a punch. Ginka blocks the punch with her arm and attempts the strike back. Happy backs off and immediately jump right back in with a kick. This time, it connects, and the kick sents Ginka flying.

While in mid-air, Beauty shows up and slashes at Ginka "Eiii!"

Ginka barely manages to shield herself but the force sent her crashing into the ground. Ginka quickly tries to get up and escape, but beauty isn't giving her a chance.

Beauty "Precure, Beauty Blizzard Arrow!"

The attacks strike the ground and freeze it with Ginka's leg stuck in it.

Ginka looks at the ice "If it's only this much…"

Peace then readies her attack as well

Peace "Precure, Peace Thunder Hurricane!"

The attack hits Ginka and she screams in pain. After the attacks stop, she is completely wounded with her shoulder cracks open, exposing her machine inner.

All three of them look at Ginka with surprise.

Ginka looks back while in pain "What? Surprised I'm not really a person?"

Happy "that's…"

Before Happy could answer, Sunny and March finish dealing with Negaminion and groups up with the three of them.

Sunny "That's… what?"

March "Android?"

Beauty "Looks like it."

Peace "That's kind of cool…"

Happy "Peace…"

Ginka then tries to recover and break free "I won't give up yet… I…"

Beauty looks at her team "Happy, let's just finish this."

Happy nods and begins to gather up a large amount of power

Happy "Precure, Happy Shower Shining!"

Happy shoots out an overwhelmingly large beam and as it hits Ginka, something cracks within her. After the attack ends, the cures look at Ginka twentieth for a moment before moving into the tower.

After they enter, Ginka twentieth wakes up "That attack… Precure, you girls sure are something else." She then smiles and begins her self repair.

After the Smile Precure team enters the tower, they found out about the tower's cleansing system was in no condition to operate.

March "No good huh? What do we do now?"

Sunny "Maybe if we give it a few good wacks and it'll fix it."

Peace "Ehh? That's only going to damage it more!"

Sunny "I'm joking."

Beauty "But this is troubling. If we can't use this, then…"

Happy nods "We just have to perform. Isn't that also why we practiced?"

Sunny "So it comes down to that…"

March "To be honest, I'm not sure if we'll be able to properly do it."

Happy smiles "It's okay. I'm sure we can do it! Let's make it work and bring the happy end this kingdom should get!"

The four of them look at Happy and feeling inspired. They nod and start preparing. Afterward, they reach the top of the tower and start their performance just like the Soleil did. Happy is wearing a dress from Aurora Fantasy. Sunny has one from Wilderness Crash. Peace was suggested for Angely Sugar and is using one. March picked one from Material Color as she likes that brand. Beauty then follows her Cure style and went with Glorious Snow. All of them also have their dress in their respective color and are standing close together.

As a simple tune starts for a few seconds, they start singing together "We'll continue to tomorrow with our hopes and dreams. Walk-in with everyone as soon as the door opens. As long as you believe, it will come true. We will deliver to you our best smile."

Then more energetic music begins, they sing "happy day, Smile for you. Happy day, yes yes smile!"

Happy then sings the next line "When times are hard, everybody combines their power."

Sunny continues "When times are fun, everybody has a fun time."

Peace "When times are hard, I will gently stay by your side."

March "When times are happy, everybody will have a smile."

Beauty "If you can't do it by yourself, join hands, and do it together."

All five of them start singing together once more while starts holding hands "If you make a large circle, you can laugh and dance together. Everyone will become happy. One, Two, Go!"

They jump and now each faces a different direction "Now hopes and dreams will overflow in this world. Your hand opens the door and jumps. It's time for everybody's popping smile. Go through it because it is a treasure. The shining future smiles as everybody's power combines, let's collect all the decors of happiness!"

Then one by one, they turn around and face each other as they sing "If you haven't noticed, you're an irreplaceable friend. So thank you and look after me from now on as well."

The song continues for a while and they start Special Appeal together. All five of them high five together in the middle at once and a white veil of light covers them. All five of them have their dress slightly changed and look a bit similar to their princess form. They spin and strike a pose together with a welcoming formation and big smiles.

At that moment, they all think of one thing "This is fun, I want to do more together with everyone!"

They somehow understand everyone is thinking of the same thing, they then move forward with a Swift Appeal. A bookshelf pops up behind them and soon a flash of light covers them. They jump up and show themself in mid-air with Marchenland behind them. Together with a few fairies several fairies.

Afterward, they dance and continue to sing for a little more. With almost all five of them singing together the whole time.

As their performance goes on, Cure Love, Cure Act, and Cure Stage pay attention to them the most.

Cure Love "Uwaa, they are amazing! You can totally feel their love!"

Cure Act "Yes, I agree."

Cure Stage looks at the two of them "We probably can't fight as well as them, but…"

Cure Love "Right! Let's make sure to give out more 'love you' to everyone in this kingdom!"

Cure Act and Stage nods and the three of them hurry to the tower they are heading.
