Author's Note

This is one chapter that I wanted to make more interesting in engagement. A little short, but I think I captured the character decently well. Anyways, enjoy!

Chapter 9: Dreamers, Dream Balloon!

Four girls are running and closing in on the tower.

Cure Notes then stops everyone "Hold on, before we get any closer. Should we think up a plan?"

Cure Thunder "Oh, that's a great idea Sei… I mean Notes!"

While Nature is looking around a little restlessly, Bohemian says "Then we'll be scouting around a bit."

Cure Notes "Alright."

Thunder "Ok, ok, okay! I'll just start analyzing our options."

Thunder then materializes a visor and starts typing on a holographic keyboard. Bohemian grabs Nature's hand and leaves. After a moment later, Bohemian turns around.

Bohemian asks "What's wrong?"

Nature "Eh? Is that why you took me away? Sorry, it is just that something seems off. The air is like, trapped."

Bohemian "Trapped? Well, we are inside a space kingdom with air trapped inside."

Nature shakes her head "That's not it, but it is just around us… No, around that tower?"

Nature points at the tower they are heading and Bohemian looks at it. After a while, Bohemian notices something. She picks up a pebble and throws it towards the tower. It hits an invisible wall and vaporizes the pebble into dust and air.

Nature "That's…"

Bohemian "Let's head back and let Notes and Thunder know."

Nature nods and they hurry back to Notes and Thunder. When they get back, the two of them look at them worried.

Notes "Oh, good. You two are okay. We heard some weird noise earlier and we got worried."

Bohemian "Weird noise, ah. It must have been that."

Thunder questions cutely "That?"

Nature explains "Bohemian threw a pebble and an invisible barrier vaporized it."

Notes "Vaporized it? Scary…"

Thunder "Then how do we pass through it? If it can vaporize a pebble… I don't think even a magical girl can pass through it."

Nature "Maybe you two should take a look first?"

Both of them nod and follow Bohemian and Notes.

Notes "So the barrier is around here?"

Notes pick up a pebble as well and throw at it. It vaporizes the pebble just like before.

Thunder "Uwaa, that's definitely not ok, ok, okay to touch."

Bohemian "So we have to find a way around it or break through it safely."

Everyone starts thinking and Notes eventually has her eyes on the manhole cover.

Notes "Hey, do you think we can pass through it from underground?"

Thunder "Yes! That should work! Since it doesn't look like the barrier is cutting into the ground, it should be safe to assume that the underground is fine!"

Bohemian "The underground… you mean the sewer? I don't like it but I guess there is no other option."

Nature "This is a whole new experience. I have never been in a sewer before!"

Notes "Haha, there is nothing exciting about the sewer though."

Thunder "Anyways, let's go check it out!"

Everyone nods and begins to climb down the manhole, into the sewer. Thunder is the last one to land, however, she slips. She panics and holds onto the latter too hard and breaks it off.

Notes catch her while asking "Thunder, you okay?"

Thunder looks at Notes and answers "Yes, but I can't believe I snapped this off."

Nature then looks at the sewage wall "Hmm, we are supposed to go this way right?"

The three of them look at Nature and question what she is trying to say. However, before they knew, Nature throws out a punch at the wall in front of her, creating a big hole.

Nature then holds onto her fist "Ow… that still hurts."

While Bohemian and Thunder are stunned by the feat, Notes mutters "For real?"

Nature then looks at them "Well, shall we get going?"

They look at each other and proceed their way to the tower.

After a while, Thunder says "We should pass the barrier already. Let's head up."

All four of them start finding a nearby manhole to exit. As they travel down one-way sewage, Notes who is in the front sees a sparkling light. Afterward, a giant beam of light is flying at them.

Notes shout out "Get down!"

All of them immediately dodges to the side and lower themselves. The attack covers about 90% of the passage.

After the attack, Thunder says "Wha wha wha, what was that?"

Bohemian "Don't tell me they lured us down here for this."

Nature "What do you mean?"

Notes "This is a trap."

Thunder "So what should we do? Turn back?"

Notes look back and forward a few times. While doing so, another shot is fired at them. This time, it almost hit them despite them already near the corner.

Bohemian "I don't think neither is a good choice"

Notes "Neither are a good choice, then maybe a third… Ah, we can do that… But I can't believe I'll have to jump in there."

Notes then jump into the sewage water.

Nature "Oh, that's right. We can do that."

Nature then jumps in right after Notes.

Bohemian sighs "I guess that is the only way."

Bohemian jumps in as Thunder complains "No way, into the sewer water… But since Notes already jumped in… Ey!"

Thunder then follows them and starts swimming in the sewer water.

On the other end of the passage, a Ginka is holding an oversized cannon over her shoulder with a single eye visor.

Ginka "Vision clearing up, checking… No enemy detected. That's weird..."

As Ginka starts to check for a hiding spot, Notes pops out of the water and kicks Ginka. Ginka jumps back and barely avoids the attack. After that, the other three jump out of the water and stand next to Notes.

Ginka "I see, using the sewer water and avoided my detection. Not bad…"

Notes "Thanks, but I never want to swim in that again. You are Ginka, right? I'm guessing it's too much to ask for you to let us through?"

Ginka nods "Yes I am, Ginka 17 to be exact and if you know the drill, then let's move on!"

Gina immediately points her shoulder cannon at them and fires. However, the beam is not as big and allows them to narrowly avoid them.

Bohemian "Ahh, so close. Eh? That burned my hair!"

Bohemian then dances a bit "Precure, Storm Burst!"

A sandy storm stream flies out from two directions and crashes into Ginka. At the same time, a burst of sand storm sphere is formed and explodes. Ginka blocks and endures the attack. However, the shoulder cannon could not handle it and starts to sparks.

Ginka "The cannon…"

Ginka detaches it and tosses it at the Cures. Thunder then put her hands.

Thunder "Precure, Laplace Shield!"

A blue and green colored shield is formed in front of them and the explosion from the cannon. It blocks it perfectly, protecting everyone. Notes jump forward and start trying to engage in hand-to-hand combat. Ginka tries to jump back, but Notes keep close.

Ginka "You are too persistence!"

Notes "There is no way I'm letting this chance go!"

Notes throw out a punch while says "Precure, Rocking Strike!"

It hits Ginka and with an explosion, she gets blasts away. She crashes into the wall.

Ginka tries to get out but her arm is trapped inside the wall "Eh? Crap!"

Notes look back at the other three "Let's finish this now!"

They nod and join hands together and gathers energy together.

Then they shout "Precure, Dream Catalyst!"

The energy turns into a giant crystal and shoots at Ginka. It hits and traps Ginka inside. Then colorful lights begin to shines from Ginka. Soon after, it becomes blinding, and cracking happens from within Ginka as well. They look at Ginka until they confirm she is out cold.

Notes "Is it over?"

Bohemian "Hopefully, can we get out now?"

Thunder looks around "But… Ah, there is an exit there!"

Nature nods "Then let's go!"

After they climb out of the manhole, they came out right beside the tower.

Thunder "Ohh! We are here! Hmm, the barrier is down."

Notes "You are right. Ginka must have been controlling it."

Bohemian checks on herself "Ah… This smell is unbearable."

Nature "Don't worry. Precure, Nature Cleanse!"

A strong wind blows at them and they had to hold down their skirts.

Bohemian "Ahh!"

Thunder "Wait, stop!"

Notes "Nature!"

Even Nature herself is surprised "Ohh!"

However, after the wind dies down, they are clean and all possess a scent of nature.

Notes "Eh? This smell."

Bohemian "Hmm, smells nice."

Thunder "Wait, how? And we are healed up too!"

Nature smiles "Hahaha, I didn't think that'll work this well. I just feel like I can do this."

Notes "This is great, but let's hurry up to the tower. Everyone is waiting!"

They nod and the four of them begin heading into the tower.

When they are in the tower, Thunder is looking at the system.

Thunder "Ahhh, I can't repair this. What should we do, perform like the others?"

Notes "Yeah, I think that's the only choice."

Bohemian claps softly "To perform in another world, this is getting exciting isn't it?"

Nature nods "Yeah, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance."

Notes smile "Then let's do it, but what song do we want to use?"

Thunder "Oh! How about that new song our school made?"

Notes point at Thunder "Yes! That's perfect!"

Notes put her hand out and one by one, they put their hand on top of hers.

Thunder "To think the first time we perform as an official unit is in another world."

Bohemian "But it's really nice and exciting isn't it?"

Nature "Hehehe, I love this. Being with everyone and performing here."

Notes nod excitingly "Let's do it! We are…"

Then all four of them "Dreamers!"

The four of them change and run on top of the tower. When the music starts, they dance together.

After a while, Notes starts "Now, what sort of dream do you have? It doesn't matter what it is!"

Nature then sings "Softly, your wishes will; be blown into the sky. Let's make them even bigger!"

Thunder continues "It doesn't matter what color it is, as long as you like it it's fine!"

Bohemian "It might be a little hard, but pack all your hopes and you'll be ready!"

All four together sing "To fly into the fluffy sky! Crossing the sky and going through a rainbow!"

Thunder and Bohemian together "We can fly anywhere in our dream balloon!"

Then all four "Don't just leave it to the wind!"

Then all four together again "Cause the destination is your future!"

The four of them start their special appeal. They each jump up into the air. Each one flies with their own color behind them. Notes fly by with a guitar, Thunder fly by with her Brain Thunder, Bohemian fly by with her style esthetic, and Nature fly by with a bottle of milk. When they come together, they dematerialize their object and poses together. They proceed with Swift Appeal and jumps higher, into space and darkness. Then with a shining light, they pop into existence with Dream Academy behind them while in another pose together. After that, they continue to sing and perform their new song.

As their performance is ongoing, four figures fly in the air with brooms.

Cure Miracle "Ohh! That's amazing! Do you two think we can do that?"

Cure Magical "I don't think so. That's not going to be as easy as you think."

Cure Felice "It's okay, we can do it!"

Magical "What makes you think we can do it like that?"

Miracle "But we trained, it'll be fine!"

Felice "Yep!"

Magical retorts "You two goofs around almost the whole time!"

Miracle and Felice make a dry laugh in response.

Magical then sighs and says "Whatever, let's just do whatever we can."

Miracle "Hahaha, sorry. But I'm sure we'll be fine!"

Felice smiles happily "Yep!"

Magical "Alright then let's hurry up."

Miracle and Felice "Oooh!"
