Amethyst snorted as she ducked under a swinging branch. SHe shook a egg out of her hair and then popped it into her mouth and kept on climbing as she chewed it down. It was pretty tasty.

"I don't think that we should be bothering her, she made her stance sort of clear last time I came out here." Steven said as they kept moving through the woods.
"Yeah she made it clear the last time I was here too! She's a jerk! That's her entire thing." Amethyst paused and stared back the way that they had come. Steven had righted a birds nest and moved a caterpillar onto a leaf. Amethyst rolls her eyes at that. Sure it is cute as hell and totally a Steven thing to do. But still he was wasting time. And she knew he was wasting time. And he knew she knew that he knew that he was wasting time.

"Look Jasper is...She's mean okay? She's a bully. And I think that I am tough enough to deal with a few bad dreams every once in a while. I mean she's a quartz warrior right? You said yourself that they don't dream all that often." Steven said as he tried to encourage Amethyst to turn around.

"Yeah and I also said that when they do dream they dream hard. And I don't want my favorite Steven to have to deal with all of the nonsense of falling into Jasper's weird dreams. And also those were more then just nightmares dude. That was like night terror level crazy. And you don't deserve to deal with all of her...crazy!" Amethyst said as she started walking again.

"And you do?" Steven said from where he still stood. Amethyst stopped in her tracks and turned around.
"Yeah. Like it better or not I think that I do." Amethyst said as she turned and marched up the hill. Steven sighed and started after her again. Soon the two were walking side by side in silence. Sometimes they stopped to watch a bird fly by. Sometimes they would stop and stare at some twigs floating in a stream.

They both knew that they were putting off the inevitable. And soon they came to the edge of the forest and into a clearing. The clearing was dotted with broken stumps, huge chunks of stone and not a single blade of grass. It was like stepping onto the surface of the moon. Or into one of the Kindergartens that the diamonds had created. It seemed completely empty and barren of life.

Or almost empty.

"Is that...is she snoring?" Steven chuckled as the loud sound of a chainsaw getting eaten by a grizzly bear came bursting out of a nearby cave.
"Killing the local ecosystem with your bare hands is hard work. I can get that." Amethyst shrugged in response as she walked past the tree line and into the gem made clearing. STeven was beside her every step of the way.

They paused at the entrance to the cave where the snoring was the loudest. A huge pile of rocks had been pushed in front of the cave entrance so that it looked like a rock slide had occured.

"You take the left side. I'll get the right." Steven sighed as he made a large pink bubble around his side of the rubble and started rolling it away. Amethyst groaned, if she knew that there was going to be this much work involved then she wouldn't have bothered coming out here. She started picking up and tossing rocks, the snoring never stopped. If anything it was getting louder and louder.

"How is it possible for her to sleep through all of this?" Amethyst snapped as Steven came back for another pink bubble load.
"You once fell asleep on the living room couch and Pearl cleaned the entire house around you, we stacked bricks on your face, and drew on your feet before playing music next to your head. This went on for three days." Steven deadpanned as Amethyst shrugged and smirked.

"Is that why I have constant ringing in my ears?" She said shapeshifting a large ear with a ring through it. Steven chuckled despite himself as they finally cleared enough space to slip inside.

The inside of the cave was dark and cold and moist. Steven shivered. It smelt vaguely like brimstone. He glances around in confusion. Wondering where she was sleeping.

The thick body that he kicked answered his question.

"Rule number one of assassination. Make sure you get them the first time!" The voice bellowed as Steven yelped and threw up his shield. Which was probably what saved his face from a massive fist. The boom caused the top of the cave to shiver as Jasper got to her feet within an instant.

"Wait a kick wakes you up but not moving all that rubble?!" Steven shouts in amazement as he drops his shield and jumps backwards out of the hole that the two had just made.

"Wh-What did you do to my rubble! That was my emergency wall! For when I had to turn myself off!" Jasper howls as she rushes to the wall. Amethyst walks beside her until she was standing on some of the stones and glancing between the nervously floating Steven and Jasper who was grabbing stones and glancing around to find the other sections that had been misplaced. She paused to glance at her two would be 'assassins' and a tense wall is thrown up over her eyes.

"Oh. It's you two. What are you doing here?" She growls with a scowl so deep that it looked like her face would break off.
"It's because of these dreams I've been having. Dreams with you." Steven said as he floated down, he realized that she probably wasn't going to attack him.
"Me? What do I have to-"
"You were dreaming too Jasper, and I was dragged into it. Because of my powers. I saw the dreams that you were having. And also who just sleeps for a week straight? Why would you do that? That's legally a coma! You really need to take better care of yourself Jasper!" Steven said sternly as the orange gem snorted and leaned against the wall leading to her cave.

"Who cares? I can do what I like now right? Isn't that the entire point that you kept on trying to force down my throat?" Jasper snarks as Steven lands and grinds his teeth. Amethyst stands between the two with her hands up shaking her head.

"Alright! Listen up! Both of you!" Amethyst turns to Jasper with a frown. "Yes you can do whatever you like, you can go to the moon, walk along the bottom of the ocean, or stay here all alone. We don't care. You're not hurting anyone. But what we do care is when you start impacting Steven. And you are. So guess what, you are going to work through whatever it is you are clearly going through."

Amethyst nods with a smirk. She had been working on that speech the entire way up to Jasper's weird little cave. She was pretty proud of it.

"No. Sounds lame." Jasper sneers at them. "It's not my fault if that little pipsqueak isn't able to deal with whats in my head. He should just stay out of others dreams if he can't handle them." She chortles before turning on her heel to focus more on her ruined rock wall.

A hand gripped her shoulder. She turned and stared at the frowning grape colored girl.

"I wasn't asking. I was ordering." Amethyst snarls. Her frown deep. Steven slides up to Amethyst with a frown. He was a pacifist! A recovering vegiterian! If there was no need to fight...
"Hey...Maybe we should all take a deep breath-"
"I don't take orders from anyone. Especially not you runt." Jasper growls slapping Amethyst's arm off. It retreated back to Amethyst who winced, she was probably going to have to calm down on the shapeshifting if things kept on going this way.

"Don't call me a runt. Sis." Amethyst snarls. Her hands going up towards her gem.
"Don't call me an insult that I don't understand." Jasper frowns as she bows her head low.
"Hey...Uh...Jasper? Amethyst? Can we take a breath here guys? We came up here to help you Jasper. True we want to make sure that your dreams don't hurt me, but you also looked really really scared in them. We think that it would be good for you to...you know...open up...Talk about it a bit. With someone who might know what you're going through." Steven said with a calming tone of voice.

Jasper glances at him and chuckles deeply. Her head is thrown back and her hair seems to flare with energy.
"You two? You think that you two could take what I have to say? No one can take what I have to say! Especially weak losers like you. You can't beat me by yourselves in a physical fight. I could cream you in a mental one."

Amethyst grins and holds out her hand.
"Challenge accepted."
"What?" Steven face palms

"What?" Jasper asks in confusion.
"You and me fight. If I get you on one knee then you need to let me be your therapist. You beat me and we leave you alone forever. And I don't know...You can like...Kick Steven or something." Amethyst said with a steady gaze. Jasper snorts, shakes her head, considers and shrugs.

"Alright. If you really feel like getting beaten that badly." Jasper cracks her knuckles her helmet materializes with its new sharpened maw. "Let's do this."

Amethyst got into her fighting stance. Hands up, summoning two whips.

"Hey! Wait! Can't we just..."Steven starts before the twos death glare made him throw up his hands. "Well! I tried! Have fun beating each other up for no reason!"

Amethyst didn't say a word. She just swung her whips in a circle above her head and gripped the first two boulders that she caught. The whips whirled them overhead and brought them crashing down towards Jasper. She didn't move, she just head butted them into pebbles. A smile never leaving her proud face. Amethyst's whips moved faster and faster as she stepped forwards. Her whips hitting boulders, whipping them around and rearranging the landscape. Tossing a boulder at Jasper who punched it to a different part of her clearing. A tree stump was flung and Jasper slapped it to the side.

Amethyst glanced around quickly surveying the area and then grins. Jasper frowns for a second. Her enemy wasn't supposed to be enjoying herself. Amethyst jumped and got into her spin dash attack, her personal favorite. Jasper sighs and plants herself. It would be easy to dodge, or to even counter, but it was always such a nice way to break a persons spirit when they crashed against her unmovable body.

Amethyst picked up more and more speed Jasper waited expectantly. And then quirked an eyebrow when the ball of purple hair went around her. Jasper took a step forwards to grab Amethyst only for the runty over cooked gem to snap a whip at her hand. It wrapped around her wrist. Jasper moved to grab it and was pulled off balance. She recovered and growled. Amethyst was spinning around Jasper faster and faster. Whips flew out and snapped around Jasper's torso, her legs and arms and neck, they were all tight and attached outside of the ring that Amethyst was making.

Jasper coughs as dust and dirt fly around her. A massive cloud was popping up, she couldn't see anything through it. She growled and started head butting wildly. She had stood still for too long. She hadn't expected to be tricked! The dust began to settle down a bit. Jasper squints and wiggles against the whips. Amethyst had been pulling them out and using them to anchor Jasper to bits of rubble surrounding them. Jasper chuckles and glances around.

"Is that really the best you've got?" She snarls as she starts to spin herself. Flexing and breaking off the whips with ease. Soon she is completely free. She shakes her head in disgust.
"That was pathetic even for a piece of dirt like you." Jasper grumbles turning back to her cave. Amethyst stood in the doorway before launching herself at Jasper again full force. Jasper brought her hand up to grab Amethyst by the throat. Her eyes narrow in irritation. "Would you just give up already you loser!"

Jasper's hand closes around something. Amethyst ducks low. The stone she had tossed in front of her in Jasper's hands. The whip attached to the rock snaked around Jasper's arm and she felt herself pulled a little off balance again. Dust was still flying around her, getting in her eyes, ruining her vision. Jasper growls and glances around ready to start head butting again.

"That's the thing about being a loser. You learn from your mistakes." Amethyst said from behind Jasper as she pulled against the anchor and jumped from Jasper's shoulders where she had been perching.
"Like how I should never attack you head on!" Amethyst brings her entire weight down on the back of Jasper's knees. Jasper stumbles and feels them buckle against her will. She takes a step forward trying to balance herself, and stumbles into the ditch that Amethyst had burnt into the ground with all of her rolling.

Jasper stumbles to one knee in surprise. Her eyes widening as Amethyst stands up with a smirk. The two on eye level.
"I won." Amethyst says with a grin holding her hand out.

"No! You...you cheated! That wasn't fair!" Jasper snaps getting up and brushing off her knee.
"Looked fair to me." Amethyst responds smugly.
"You didn't fight me head on! You...you tricked me!"
"It's called using strategy. I beat you. And now I get to play at being your therapist." Amethyst smirks as Jasper growls glaring down at the smug gem.

"Amethyst! That was amazing!" Steven shouts running forwards and scooping up the smaller gem, giving her a congratulations noogie. "You beat Jasper! You actually kicked her butt! You...You did good too Jasper." Steven said smiling in embarrassment at the taller goliath of a gem.

"Don't patronize me." Jasper snaps out. Amethyst sighs out in fear, she hadn't thought this part out. What to do after she won.

"Look we can all discuss this at your first meeting." Steven said as he calmly started walking backwards with Amethyst in his arms, she was dragging her heels while Jasper gave them a cold death glare.

"OOO...Yeah...About that Steven..."Amethyst says nervously as she rubs the back of her head. Jasper growls as the interruptions bicker as they leave her clearing. She turns back to her rocks, she needs to fix her wall.
