"I think that you're making a mistake by not including me." Steven states as he sits on the couch in the main room. Amethyst held up a coconut shook it a bit and replaced it before taking Pearls favorite mug and slipping it into a bag that she was carrying on her shoulder. She rolls her eyes before turning around hands on her hips, her fake glasses catching the light from the front window and making Steven shield his eyes.

"I told you that I think that would scare her off. She knows you too well dude. You have beaten her up way too much, you were pretty much there every single time that she lost a fight right? I just think that you might scare her off. Or worse make the dreams worse." Steven sighs before spreading his hands.

"I just hate this. I feel so useless."
"Good that's how you should feel. You're sixteen years old, stopped intergalatic genocide and spread peace throughout the entire galaxy. You've earned the right to sit on your butt for a few years eating garbage and watching cartoons. If you need to meddle with something get a hobby." Amethyst said casually as she picked up a baseball and a shovel.

"Think that she would be into learning a sport?" Amethyst asks Steven who sniffs and turns up his nose playfully.
"Why are you asking me? I thought you wanted to do this solo?" He teases with a smirk. Amethyst rolls her eyes before tossing him the ball.

"I hear that little homeworld is having a baseball game today. You should go and join in. Might be fun." Amethyst said as she tightens her satchel and poses.
"How do I look?"

"Like you're wearing a jacket you pulled out of the trash and my emergency cool glasses." Steven says chuckling before standing up. "Amethyst this is a great thing that you are doing but be careful. Please. Jasper isn't like the rest of us. She doesn't want to get better. She is violent. She is...well...mean." Steven said as Amethyst shrugs.

"Meh. So am I. Or at least I can be. Don't worry bro, I will get her to play nice. I guranetee that by the end of this she will be sweet as spoiled milk." Amethyst said as she started to walk out. She paused in the doorway before glancing over at Steven who still looked a little concerned.
"Besides maybe you could take your girlfriend Connie out on a date! It's been what like a week since your last one?" She teased.

Steven blushed and waved his hands trying to dismiss what she said.
"Oh that wasn't a 'date'! We just went dancing and got dinner and caught a late movie! I had to get her home before ten! That was just kids being friends!" He said blushing deeply and not making eye contact. Amethyst quirked an unamused eyebrow.

"A date. Dude that is a date." Amethyst deadpanned before walking out of the house. She walked in thirty seconds later. "It's faster if I use the warp pad. I forgot that we have instant teleportation technology."

Within a second she was gone.

Jasper glances up with a scowl as the small purple runt walked into her territory. Walks into her territory with a grin and a self satisfied air!

"You're back." Jasper snaps.
"Yep! So are you ready to get into your big important problems and discuss them in a reasonable manner so that we can put your irritating nightmares to bed?" Amethyst smirks at her own little pun as Jasper glowers down at the gem who is hardly half her size.

"No. Go away." Jasper responds before walking towards a stump that was sitting in her territory. SHe gripped it and tore it out with one hand and tossed it towards the forest. Amethyst frowns and marches after her. She knew that this wasn't going to be easy...But she didn't expect Jasper to be this difficult.

"Hey! You lost fair and square. I beat you. We are going to discuss this stuff now!" Amethyst snaps as Jasper continues to walk away from her.

"Sounds dumb. Talking is dumb." Jasper picks up a small head sized rock, hefted it and tossed it behind her towards a pile of similar sized rocks.

"What are you even doing?" Amethyst says running in front of her. Jasper pauses with a rock in either hand.

"Finding the loser rocks. This is a bad rock. This is a good rock." Jasper said holding up one rock that she crushed in her hand. The other she tossed over her shoulder to the growing pile of boulders. Amethyst shook her head. This was so so so stupid. She couldn't help Jasper if Jasper refused to be helped.

"Don't just walk away from me when we're talking. We are going to work through this whether you like it or not sis." Amethyst snarls blocking Jaspers way. Jasper paused and gazed down at her in irritation.

"Why do you keep on calling me sis? What is the point of that? I'm Jasper. You're an Amethyst."
"And we're both from earth." Jasper snorts and rolls her eyes. "Yeah yeah I know you don't like it, but you and I were made in earth kindergartens. You are the best of Beta, I'm the worse of Alpha. That means we have to have some similarities."

Jasper pauses and chuckles. She shakes her head and snorts before crouching down to Amethyst's level.

"Just because I know that your little 'friends' would shatter me, I am choosing not to poof you. Never compare yourself to me. Ever. We have nothing in common." Jasper snarls poking Amethyst in the fake glasses before starting to turn around. Amethyst's hand shot out and gripped Jasper by the hair and pulled her down sharply.

Amethyst was not smiling as she stared into Jasper's eyes. Jasper glowered back. Choosing to be lead around by her hair like some sort of earth animal.

"I could poof you by myself. I'm not the same gem that you fought two years ago. I'm stronger. Thanks to my friends. If you don't want to be friends with them that's fine. But we can help you get stronger in new ways that you can't even imagine." Jasper stood up. Amethyst dangling from her hair, not even wincing from the added weight.

"What could you teach me? I am the perfect gem. Perfect cut. I've been fighting every day of my existence. I have nothing to learn from you pathetic rubble."
"Why? Are you afraid of us? Are you a coward?" Amethyst snorts out. She didn't know why Steven had told her not to do this. She was great at getting people to open up! Or at the very least push their buttons in just the right way that they would snap at her and try something.

Jasper does a double take at what Amethyst just said. Her eyes narrowing as she gazed at the small purple being dangling from the ends of her hair.

"What did you just call me?"
"A coward." Amethyst shrugs out. Jasper's hand came flying down and Amethyst dodged just quick enough that she didn't get cuffed behind the head. Amethyst flipped herself over and landed behind Jasper still holding the hair.
"Stop fooling around and fight me for real!" Jasper howls turning to try and get Amethyst who was firmly holding Jasper's hair and running in a small circle just out of the bigger gems reach.

"If we fought for real then you would poof me. What's the matter? Aren't you the most powerful gem that ever lived?" Amethyst chuckles as Jasper snarls and began to tilt forwards. Amethyst recognized the spin attack the moment that Jasper began it. But she still held on.

Amethyst whooped as she was pulled into the spinning somersaulting Jasper. The two of them rushed forwards over the barren ground bouncing off of boulders and tree trunks. Amethyst growls as she doubles her grip, sprouting some extra arms and panting as she tried to keep up. Jasper grins viciously as they tumble over the barren wasteland. Smashing and crashing. Going faster and faster until finally Amethyst went flying off.

Jasper was pouncing on her in an instant. Holding her down and snarling.

"You think that you are tougher then me? I am unbeatable! I am more powerful then you could ever be! I am a perfect cut! You said you want to help me? No one helps me! I would never let them! I am a perfect solider! I am a perfect warrior! Any mission that the diamonds needed done I did it! Any war zone I was put there! And invasion I was always the first in line! Every single time! On the diamonds orders I destroyed planets! Toppled the most powerful alien civilizations! I fought countless enemies much stronger then you and even more persistent then the small green earthlings!"

"You mean grass?" Amethyst quips as Jasper snarled and released her.

"I never bothered to learn their names! I never had to learn anythings name! I was sent to destroy, those were my orders! So I did it! And I always wondered if it would be this time! This time I would get poofed! This time I would get shattered! This time I would lose! And I never lost! I beat every last challenger! I am unstoppable!" Jasper finished posing with her hands above her head and a blissful smile on her face as she reminisced about her glory days.

"You have an ego about the size of the ocean is what you have. And you were eventually pooffed. When you got here. Remember?" Amethyst pointed out. Jasper frowns and plops down beside Amthyst glaring at her.

"Thank you for reminding me." Jasper bit out. Amethyst sat up, her mind starting to click through some things.
"So you were always the best huh?"
"Obviously." Jasper gestured up and down her body.

"Who did you train with? Did you have many...co...warrior worker...buddies?" Amethyst asks carefully. Jasper glances at her suspiciously.

"No one could keep up. I was the only one like me."
"Sounds lonely." Amethyst said carefully fiddling with the strap of her satchel which had amazingly enough not been flung off when they were rolling around. Jasper studies her carefully weary for a trap.

"I was alone a lot. Not like you would know. Being in alpha, being with the rejects here..." Jasper responds.

"You said that we have nothing in common. That even being from the same planet means we are different because of where we were made. Well...I know what it's like to be alone." Amethyst spoke staring straight ahead. Jasper stared off into the distance with her. Not sure what they were looking at.

"I came out late. The rest of my kindergarten was gone. I was alone, totally lost. The war was over long ago. I had no idea where or who I was or what I was supposed to be. I spent a long time in the kindergarten. Just standing and waiting. And wondering. Lost. I got scared. I got lonely. And then I got bored. So I left. I was the only thing like me. Everything was different, weaker then me. Then I stumbled onto Pearl. She was just walking past the kindergarten one day. And she was the first gem I ever met. But before that. For over a hundred years it was just me. And a bunch of rocks."

Amethyst looked pointedly backwards at the pile of boulders that Jasper had. Jasper snorts and glances between the boulders and Amethyst. Jasper doesn't make any more comments. But Amethyst waits politely for her to make a comment. Finally Jasper sighs.

"So you were alone for a long time. And then you were found. And then you are suddenly stronger?"
"You can be stronger too. I can help you get stronger. It might be confusing at first. But I don't think you are a coward. You're too tough for this to scare you. Especially if you let me help you." Amethyst pops her lips and whistles waiting for the response.

Jasper glances at the gem then at her cave. Then rubs her chin.

"I was going to get started on making gravel today. And some more of that 'grass' is invading the rear of my living space...But fine. We can do this...whatever it is you want to do." Jasper snarls before turning to face Amethyst.

"So how do we start?"

Amethyst sighed gratefully. This was going to take a while. But it was a decent enough start.
