"Where are you taking me?" Wash asked as he followed Carolina through the Chorus Military Base.

"You'll see," Carolina said. The two were in civilian clothes as they walked through the base, passing offices and the mess hall and ending at the General Donald Doyle Barracks.

"General Doyle?" Wash said. "Who was he?"

Carolina looked wide eyed at him. "He was in the civil war here on Chronos. You told him to stop Kimball to work together and stop the war. You don't remember Doyle?"

He saw his concerned look and quickly agreed. "No, yeah. I remember him. Good man. So, uh, what are we doing here again?"

Her eyes narrowed for a moment. "In the barracks we have our suits. We're going to run the training course together."

"How did you get us permission to use the facility?"

"Kimball was more than happy to help."

He wondered why but didn't ask. He had a feeling it was another thing he didn't remember and he didn't want to see the worried look on Carolina's face again.

She looked at him and smiled. "Let's get our suits and do some laps." They walked into the barracks and got their Mjolnir suits on in separate rooms. They came onto the field similar to the field they used during basic training.

Wash saw the start of the course had monkey bars, then a climbing wall, followed by a rope crawl and a rope climb tower. He smiled at Carolina through his helmet. "Race ya." He took off like a flash.

Carolina smiled through her visor and raced after him. He was already half way through the monkey bars when she hit the first rung. She closed half the distance when she was half way up the climbing wall that he was on top of. They went through the rope crawl at the same time.

Wash remembered the feel of moving through this training seven years ago. He smiled as his muscles began to burn from use. As he came up to the climbing wall, he saw Carolina inching ahead of him. Not to be outdone, he pushed his body hard to catch ahead of her. Near the top, his mind suddenly blanked and he didn't know where he was. He searched around frantically for something he recognized. "Where am I?" He said loudly.

"Wash?" Carolina shouted at the top of the wall. "Are you okay?"

"I don't know where I am," he said as he looked around. "Who are you?"

Carolina could hear the panic in his voice. "It's okay Wash. I'm your friend Carolina. Please, just come up the rope and we can get this figured out." She was starting to panic.

He looked up at her. "What do you mean 'figure this out? Where are we?"

"Please Wash. Come up!"

"No, I'm losing my grip! Help, please!"

"Wash!" She watched helplessly as he lost his grip and fell twenty feet down. He landed on the hard ground and wasn't moving. She jumped down and used her suit to cushion her fall next to him. "Wash! Say something!"

It took him a moment until he coughed a few times and Carolina could breathe again. "God Carolina, why the hell did you make me do that? You knew I wasn't ready." He pushed himself off the ground and took off his helmet. "What the hell were you thinking?" His blue eyes narrowed at her before he set off towards the barracks.
