Hello readers, I really appreciate all of the feedback that I have gotten with my story. I'm looking forward to seeing how Lincoln discovers metal, and I want to make something very clear. This fanfic will not focus on just Korn alone, expect to see a lot of other metal bands like Slipknot, Deftones, the big 4 of thrash, Pantera, Iron maiden, Black Sabbath, and other classic metal bands. But Korn will play a major role in how Lincoln changes. Anyway, hope you enjoy this next chapter of finding peace.
Lincoln awoke the next day to the usual morning routine at the loud house. He did his usual responsibilities such as dealing with the twins' issues, making sure everyone was getting ready, and serving everyone their breakfast. The usual feeling of dread and sadness that he felt as the day started wasn't present. He was looking forward to talking with Anthony during Lunch and used it as his driving force to get through the day. As Lincoln was about to head out the door, following his sisters, he realized he forgot something. Dashing upstairs back to his room, he opened one of his drawers and looked through it to find what he was looking for. Eventually he found it, a pair of cheap earbuds which he then plugged into his phone.
"LINCOLN, if you don't get your butt in Vanzilla now, I'm gonna turn you into a human pretzel"
Hearing the yell of his oldest sister, Lincoln grabbed his belongings and sprinted downstairs and out the door. Getting into Vanzilla and closing the door, Lincoln breathed a sigh of relief.
As Vanzilla drove to school, Lincoln sat on the right side of the middle section where his older sister Luna was jamming out to her headphones. Lincoln guessed it was probably Mic Swagger that she was listening to. Lincoln took the free time he had in the car to his advantage. Opening up his phone, he started downloading the first korn album on his phone to listen to it during the day. As the young boy stared out the window, waiting for the download to finish, he felt a presence watching him. Turning to his left, he saw Luna looking down at his phone which showed the download bar for the album.
"Dude, I didn't know you liked Korn"
"Yeah, someone showed me them yesterday in school, they're pretty cool"
"Not really my type of music, little dude, too heavy. But I am glad you're finding music you like" the older sister smiled at her little brother as she ruffled his hair.
Vanzilla came to a sudden stop outside the middle school
Lincoln and Lynn jumped out, Lynn headed towards her friend Polly Pain as the two girls walked into the school together. Lincoln simply put in his earbuds, hit shuffle, and headed towards homeroom. The sound of bagpipes entered his ears as he walked through the hall.
The first half of the school day went relatively well, he did his work in class, and listened to korn while doing some independent work or during breaks. Lunch finally came as Lincoln entered the cafeteria. Getting line, Lincoln got in line for food as Blind was blasting in his ears.

Lincoln got his food, and double checking that his shoes were tied normally, left the line. Scanning the room, Lincoln found Anthony sitting at a table where it was only him. Lincoln started walking towards the table as Anthony saw him and waved at him.
"Uh Lincoln… where are you going"
Lincoln turned to the sound of his friend Clyde and realized he just walked past his normal table with his friends. Clyde, Liam, Zach, Rusty, and Stella all stared at Lincoln with confused looks. Realizing that he never told his friend group about his encounter with Anthony, Lincoln turned to his friend.
"Oh, um….sorry guys. But I'm gonna sit with Anthony today, I have some stuff to talk with him about"
"Anthony Russo" said Stella surprised, "What do you owe him money or something"
"Yeah, he seems to be a bit dangerous" added Rusty
"What no, we just were gonna talk about some music stuff, he's not that bad of a guy"
The friends all exchanged glances, "Ok then Lincoln, just be careful"
Lincoln sighed, as much as he loved his friends, he found that they sometimes had trouble when it came to people who came off as tough. Then again, they were all victims of bullying so it made sense.
Lincoln walked towards Anthony's table and sat down across from him.
"Hey" Lincoln said as he took a bite out of his pizza
"Sup, what were you talking to those guys about" Anthony asked as he ate his soup
"Oh those were just my friends, I was just telling them that I was sitting with you today"
"Ah okay, so what did you think of Korn"
Lincoln finished swallowing and spoke, "Honestly dude, I loved it, it was so heavy and emotional. You were right, I related a lot to the lyrics.
"Awesome dude, what was you favorite song" Anthony asked as he continued to slurp his soup
"I would have to go with Clown, the opening was so heavy and the lyrics hit me hard."
"Cool cool" Anthony said
"Daddy probably hit me the most emotionally, it was just so sad hearing him cry"
"Yeah dude, do you know the backstory behind the song"
Lincoln shook his head
"Well at a young age, Jonathan Davis was sexually abused by a babysitter and when he tried to tell his parents. They didn't believe him"
"That's Awful" said Lincoln shocked
"Yeah and the ending wasn't staged, Jonathan told the rest of the band to not stop playing no matter what, and he had a complete mental breakdown at the end."
"Wow, that makes a lot more sense now. It sounded so real"
"Yeah, he barely plays it live and when he does, it usually ends with him breaking down."
"This band is crazy dude, you gotta tell me more abou-"
"Lincoln, move to the left"
"What?" Lincoln asked confused
"MOVE LEFT NOW"
Lincoln did as he said and slid as far to the left of the table as he could. Hearing a loud splat, he saw why Anthony told him too.
Chandler and a bunch of his goons sneaked behind him and were going to dump food on him. Half eaten sandwiches and salads were where he once sat.
"Oh come on Anthony, why'd you have to do that" Chandler yelled annoyed
This caught the attention of much of the cafeteria as many people sitting at tables looked to see what was happening. The girls table all looked interested, especially Ronnie Anne Santiago.
Anthony got up from his seat and glared at the boy. Walking around the table and getting close to the bully. Anthony's hands curled into fists.
"Listen Chandler", he spat "Don't mess with me or any of my friends or I swear I'll break your teeth you little Cazzo"
Chandler stared in fear at the boy, usually he wouldn't mind threats. But Anthony looked dead serious."
"O-Ok, sure Anthony" Chandler stuttered out. Many in the cafeteria were shocked, Chandler was considered a big bully and the fact Anthony could just end it right there was insane to some.
"Good, now clean up your shit and leave us alone."
Chandler and his goons collected the half eaten from where Lincoln sat and dumped them in the trash. They all walked away in fear.
Anthony took a deep breath and sat back down.
Lincoln sat back down on his seat and stared at Anthony shocked
"Dude, that was awesome."
Anthony simply just smiled, "Just helping a friend out"
The two then spent the rest of the lunch period talking about Korn, Anthony helping Lincoln memorize the members and their nicknames. Monkey, Fieldy, David, Head, and Jonathon. He also showed Lincoln a ton of other korn albums like Life is peachy, Follow the leader, and Issues. Lincoln downloaded them to his phone so he could listen to them.
Lincoln was very excited, "Dude this is awesome. We should hang out at lunch more often"
"Yeah man, I enjoy talking to you. It's nice to talk to someone who likes metal. Maybe I can show you some other bands I like"
"Yeah that would be awesome, my older sister Luna loves rock, but she's more into classics like Led zeppelin, Queen, and rolling stones."
"Well Lincoln Loud, with my help, I can turn you into a metal head. I will show you the classics like Sabbath and ozzy. The amazing thrash bands of Slayer and Metallica, as well as newer metal bands like Deftones and slipknot."
The conversation quickly ended as the bell soon rang and the two friends parted ways. Lincoln once again plugged in his headphones and clicked shuffle. The song freak on a leash played as he went to his next class.
