Hello readers, I know this chapter is already very soon. But my mind is just racing with ideas for the fanfiction. I have so much fun writing all these ideas into the chapter. Thank you for giving me positive feedback on the story. Also this chapter is much longer because I wanted to add a lot of events into it. Now this new chapter will have some heartbreak, some closure, and some new opportunities. Lets gooo
2 weeks had passed since the jam session between Lincoln and Anthony. September was starting to come to a close and the fall of October would be upon Royal Woods Michigan soon. Only a few months of warm weather remained until the leaves and snow started to fall. For the two young metalheads, things were going better than ever. They had started meeting up regularly, jamming in Anthony's garage to any song they wanted to. Lincoln's guitar playing was getting really good, he already was a good guitarist thanks to the many years of jamming with Luna, but he was getting really good. He started practicing solos to some songs and was nailing them. He started wearing the metal shirts that he bought with Leni regularly, some would look at him funny in the halls to school, confused as to why Lincoln Loud was wearing these crazy metal shirts. But Lincoln was happy anyway. For Chris, he had finally found himself a friend in Luan. They sat at Lunch together, texted each other constantly, and chatted after school. They both enjoyed spending time together.
It was currently a Tuesday and Chris and Luan had gotten their lunches and headed towards the cafeteria.
"Shit Luan, I don't know what to do" Chris said placing his tray on the table and sitting down
"What's wrong Chrissy" she asked placing her tray down across from her
"It's about my little sister Emily, she's turning 6 on Friday and I need to find entertainment for the party."
Luan looked at Chris surprised, "You need help with entertainment "
"Yeah I have everything prepared, my parents left me with the money. I bought all the decorations and the cake. But I can't find someone to be an entertainer."
Suddenly, Luan gave a gigantic smirk, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a business card. "Well Chrissy, I may be the answer to your conundrum, I'm the owner of Funny Business INC and would love to entertain at your sister's birthday."
Chris took the card and breathed a sigh of relief, a huge amount of stress was just lifted off of him. "Oh thank goodness, you are a lifesaver Luan. I don't know what I would do without you"
Luan felt butterflies in her stomach and blushed at the last remark.
"As a token of my gratitude Luan, I have some more metal if you're interested to take a listen."
"Of course" she said happily
As Luan got up from her seat to sit next to Chris like they did so many times already. They both heard someone yelling.
"Hey Sis" both turned to see who was speaking and Chris dropped his fork to see who it was.
Approaching the table was none other than Luna Loud and Sam Sharp. Chris started to get stressed out, there was no way out this time. He couldn't just walk away.
Luna and Sam reached the table, "Hey sis, I forgot to grab some money for lunch this morning. Can you spare me a few bucks"
"Sure sis" Luan said reaching into her pocket and pulling out a few bucks to which she handed to Luna.
"Thanks" Luna said, she turned to leave but stopped when she realized who was also at the table.
"C-chris" Luna stuttered out
Sam, also realizing who it was. Froze up
"H-hey Luna, Sam" Chris said
Luna and Sam sat down at the table and Chris' heart rate started to increase.
"H-how have you been man, w-we haven't seen you in weeks" Sam asked
"Fine" he muttered quietly
Luan looked from her sister and Sam to Chris, very confused about what was going on. Not a single word was uttered for nearly a minute before Luna chose to break the ice.
"Look Chris, I'm just gonna say it. We're both really sorry about what happened at the audition. We knew you heard our conversation in the other room"
"Yeah Chris, it wasn't cool for Mazzie and Sully to say those things about you. We really chewed them out after you were gone" Sam interjected, patting him on the back
Chris just looked down at his food, not responding. Sam chose to speak again
"We want you to know that we don't think you're a loser. You're a great guy and we think you have a lot of potential with singing."
"But I'm guessing I didn't get the singing job" Chris muttered
Sam and Luna looked at each other and sighed. "We both wanted you to be the singer, but you bailed on us for weeks and we had a gig last week. So we went with the second pick, Andy Fiske. He's decent but doesn't compare to you"
Chris smiled at that last remark and turned to look at the two girls. "Thanks, I appreciate you guys saying that. Are we good?" He asked extending his hand out for a handshake
"We good" they both said accepting the handshake each
"Well, I need to get food so I don't starve later." Luna said waving goodbye, Chris waved back as the two girls left. Chris turned to look at Luan who watched the whole conversation unfold. She sat down across from him, very confused.
"What the heck was that about" she asked
Sighing, Chris started telling her the whole story. How Luna and Sam invited him to Audition for their band, and how he overheard them talking about them and what Mazzie and Sully said. How he got picked on a lot and people like Keith. Followed by how he avoided them for weeks.
Once he was done telling his story. Luan had a mixed face on, trying to process what he said.
"Great, she thinks I'm some loser outcast" Chris thought to himself
But suddenly, Luan put her hand over Chris's hand that was resting on the table and spoke.
"Oh Chris, I'm so sorry you had to go through all that. I can relate to being bullied"
Chris looked at her surprised, "You get bullied too"
"Why do you think I got into pranking?" she said, chuckling. "But I want you to know that I am here for you, and will be here if you need someone to talk to."
Chris was taken aback by how sincere Luan was being, usually she was very joky. But here she was giving him utmost certainty. Chris smiled at what she said"
"Thanks Luan" he said
Luan retracted her hand and gave a tooth grinning smile that shined with her braces, "now about that metal you were going to show me"
Scene Change:
"I'm thinking of buying an Orange Amp, you know the ones black sabbath used. It has great sound"
"That would be awesome dude"
Lincoln and Anthony were currently walking through the halls between classes, talking about the usual.
"Whoops, here my class, see ya" Anthony said as he walked into one of the many classrooms
Lincoln continued walking down the halls, he picked up a few conversations of people in the hall. But one in particular caught the boy's attention.
"That part where ace slammed the dude onto the car, it was awesome"
Lincoln turned and saw his group of friends Clyde, Rusty, Liam, and Stella all by Liams locker.
Lincoln stopped to hear more of the conversation, "That part was cool, but what about the time when he threatened the guy by hanging him off of the building" that was Clyde's voice.
Suddenly, Lincoln put two and two together and realized what they were talking about. They saw the new Ace Savvy movie without me. When the newest Ace Savvy film got announced months ago, Lincoln and the group made plans to all go see it together. They would dress in their costumes and see it as soon as possible. Clyde was in charge of buying the tickets. But they all bailed on me and didn't even ask me about it.
Angry, Lincoln marched up to the friend group. All 4 took notice of Lincoln and immediately frowned.
"What is it Lincoln" Stella asked
"You guys saw Ace Savvy without me"
"And" Rusty asked a bit miffed
"We all made plans months ago to see it together,'' he said as his anger started to rise.
"Sorry Linc, but we thought that since your on this new heavy metal thing you wouldn't want to see the movie anymore, so we went without you" Liam said shrugging
"And you guys didn't think of asking me about any of this" Lincoln asked annoyed
Suddenly Clyde spoke up, "Oh we're sorry Lincoln, you just seemed so busy with your new best friend Anthony that we thought it was no big deal."
Lincoln stared at Clyde shocked, "Clyde how could you say that, we're best friends. We're Clincoln Mcloud."
Clyde simply raised an eyebrow
Lincoln was really mad at this point, "It's not like I was trying to abandon you guys, I invited you to come and sit with me and Anthony and even started getting him hooked on Ace Savvy. I thought we could all be friends."
Stella chose to speak next, "We don't like what he has done to you Lincoln, you listen to all this dark music and wear these shirts now." She said pointing at his current shirt which was a Slipknot self titled
Rusty Scoffed, "Why would we want to be friends with that psycho, he beats up kids. I'm surprised he hasn't been expelled yet."
That comment pissed Lincoln off, he dropped his backpack and grabbed Rusty by his shirt and pinned him to the lockers. Rusty was shocked by this action as was everyone else.
"I suggest you don't say that again Rusty, I don't like it when people disrespect my friends."
Clyde got right next to Lincoln, "See Lincoln, this is exactly my point. Dr Lopez always said that bad friends lead to bad actions."
Lincoln turned to look at Clyde enraged, "FUCK DR LOPEZ" he yelled
Everyone was taken aback by Lincoln's sudden outburst. Clyde looked offended and Rusty looked horrified.
Lincoln then turned to look at Rusty with anger in his eyes. "You guys never even gave him a chance, if you did. You would realize that Anthony is one of the nicest guys you would ever meet. He cares about others but chooses to get his hands dirty so people don't pick on him. Why do you think Chandler got off my back. You guys are just too afraid to be friends with someone that's a bit tough."
Everyone just looked at Lincoln, still shocked. Realizing he wasn't getting through to them, he let go of Rusty and slung his backpack over his shoulder.
"I consider our friendship over, goodbye" he stated and walked angrily away from the stunned group.
Scene Change:
Luna was currently in her room, strumming her guitar. She was happy with herself, she had made amends with Chris and things were good between them now. She felt really bad about what happened and was glad to have closure with him. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard the opening and slamming of the front door. Now Luna knew that could only be one thing, someone was angry. Peering into the hall to see who it was, she was surprised to see Lincln of all people marching up the steps. He usually wasn't mad.
"Hey dude, how was your day at school?" she asked hesitantly
"Not know Luna" he simply stated as he walked in his room and shut the door. Luna was taken aback by how closed off he was.
Walking back into her room, he saw her sister Luan sitting on her bed on her phone.
"What do you think is up with Lincoln"
Luan simply shrugged, "I don't know, just give him time to cool off" she stated before going back to her phone.
Luna noticed that Luan was on her phone much more often, either texting someone, or having earbuds in listening to something.
"Luan, you're not turning into Lori are you?" Luna said jokingly.
Luan looked up and smiled, "Nah, me and Chris just text a lot"
"Really" Luna said surprised, "Do you like him?"
Luan blushed, "What no were just friends"
"Surrrre" Luna said smirking as she hopped back on her top bunk and continued strumming her guitar.
Lincoln stayed in his room until dinner time, Luna noticed him being offly quiet. She decided she wanted to get to the bottom of this. Once dinner ended, Luna gathered all the siblings and all 10 gathered at Lincoln's door. Lori chose to open it and what the girls saw shocked them.
Lincoln was on his bed furiously playing the guitar, on his desk were pictures of Clyde and his friends. Some were ripped up while others that were framed were just placed downward. They all just stood there for what felt like eternity. Lincoln eventually realized everyone was at the door and stopped playing.
"Oh h-hey guys whats up"
Luna chose to speak up, "Bro, we knew something upsetting you. We just wanna know what's wrong."
"From the looks of it, it had to do with friends" Lola added
Lincoln put down his guitar and his emotion changed to sadness, the entire day he felt mostly anger. But the realization that happened today hit him. He was no longer friends with his friend group. They basically kicked him out and he almost fought one of them.
He muttered quietly but still heard, "I'm not friends with Clyde and the group anymore."
"WHAT" all the sisters collectively yelled
Many of the sisters sat next to him as Lincoln retold what happened. He talked about how his friends weren't willing to be friends with Anthony, how they distanced themselves from him. How they didn't go to the movie with him, and eventually to what happened today. By the time Lincoln was done talking, he was sobbing at this point. All the sisters enveloped Lincoln in a huge hug as he let out all the painful emotions he felt. Once he was composed, Lenni spoke.
"Were so sorry Linky" she said softly,
"Your friends shouldn't have treated you that way, that's not what friends do." Lori stated
"Yes brother unit, that was some pretty bad friendship, and I should now" Lisa stated
Each sister started saying comforting things to him as they continued hugging him. After a while, they broke away and Lincoln was now calm.
"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it" he said wiping away a few tears
"Anytime Linc" Lana said giving him a toothy grin
Soon all of the sisters started to leave the room but Luan stopped, realizing she needed to tell him something.
"By the way Linc, we gotta gig this Friday, the cake is chocolate ice cream"
Lincoln's excitement skyrocketed when she said that, "count me in he stated"
Scene Change:
Luan knocked on the front door of the Olsen house with Lincoln right behind her. Luan was dressed in classic clown outfit while Lincoln was in his black job outfit. After a few seconds, the door opened and Chris was there.
"Luan, thanks for coming, follow me to the backyard" he led the two to the backyard where the party was happening. Streamers and balloons hung everywhere with tables and a stage where Luan would perform. Kids were running around and Emily was dressed in a princess outfit.
Realizing, there was another person with Luan. He chose to introduce himself, "You must be Luans brother. Chris Olsen, nice to meet you"
"Lincoln Loud" the two gave each other a handshake.
Pretty soon, the kids were gathered for the entertainment as Luan started her act. She juggled balls on her unicycle, followed by doing magic tricks for kids in the crowd. It ended with Emily being given the throne of honor. Emily was giggling the entire time while Chris stood to the side, smiling at seeing everything.
Once Luans act was done, they had cake and Emily made a wish. Everyone started playing again as the stage was now open for karaoke. Many kids went on stage to sing One Direction, or Taylor Swift songs.
Luan and Chris were currently standing to the side with drinks of punch in hand, observing everything that's happening. Luan had gotten out of her clown outfits and was now in her usual outfit.
"I can't thank you enough Luan, you really made Emily's birthday special."
"Ah, it was no biggie Chris" she said giving him a playful punch
Lincoln walked up to them with a piece of cake in his hand. He sat beside Chris and started eating it while humming a certain rhythm. Chris immediately recognized the rhythm, Chris turned to look at Lincoln.
"Lincoln are you humming Master of Puppets by Metallica" Lincoln turned to look at Chirs, with cake still in his mouth, he swallowed.
"Yeah Chris, Love that song. Do you like metal"
"Like it, I love it"
The two quickly started chatting it up. They talked about a lot of their favorite bands and they were both surprised to find that they shared a lot of similar bands. Chris thought it was cool that Lincoln played guitar. Luan simply looked at the two boys conversing and smiled. She was happy seeing the two boys finding similarities. The boys conversation was cut short when Emily came over.
"Chris come and sing Twist and Shout at the Karaoke"
Chris was shocked that Emily wanted him to sing
"I don't know Emily" he responded
"Please Chris" Emily asked giving him the puppy dog eyes
"Yeah Chris, please" Luan said Jokingly giving him the puppy dog eyes as well
Chris glared at Luan before sighing, "Okay" he said
Chris walked over to the stage and grabbed the mic. Kids gathered as the music started and they started dancing. Chris started singing.

By the time the song was over, kids were going crazy and Chris was breathing heavily. Tired from how high his voice went. Chris waved to the kids and walked down back to Luan and Lincoln who had looks of shock at what they saw.
"Wow Chrissy, that was amazing, I knew you could sing. But that was incredible"
"Thanks Luan" Chris said blushing
However, what Lincoln said next changed everything.
"Hey Chris, wanna be the singer in my band."
