A dark cloudy outside of Ohashi High School, I looked at the windows to see lightning flash, I turned my attention to Nanako and Kihara as they were asking Kawashima for diet tips while saying she never been on a diet before and credited to having high metabolism. Me, Ryuuji and Kitamura were sitting at our desk watching the three girls talk.

"Looks like Kawahima's the center of everyone's attention these days." I said

"Yep" Kitamura replied

"Going on a strict diet will only stress you out. I think it's better if a person eats the food they want, but in healthy portions!" she suggested to Nanako and Kihara

"That does it! You're going down!" Kushieda said as she was at the classroom door with Taiga by her side, the duo charge at Kawashima, Taiga restrained her arms.

"Wait, what's going on?!" Kawashima asked very confused, while Kushieda was in front of her and grabs hold of her stomach and as if on cue lightning struck and illuminated the classroom.

"W-What are you doing?! Stop that! Let me go!" Kawashima pleaded, while Kushieda started tickling her w- what?!

"The hell?" I asked myself

"Hey, teach! We think Kawashima's trying to smuggle meat in her stomach, so we're searching her for it!" Taiga shouted

"Take that and that and that…You know you can only bring 300 yen worth of meat along on field trips! This fat roll look like 300 yen to you?! Bananas don't count, so don't even start! This is for the meat buns! And this is for fancy ice cream! And this is for corn dogs!" she said waving her around like a villain prepping for the killing blow and she shouted.

"Divine Fist of the Convenience Store! High..."

"Calo-" Taiga continued

"ries!" they finished together and Taiga joined in as they tickled Kawashima intensely, Kawashima shrieked loudly and she shrunk to the floor, defeated and exhausted.

A salute and a single tear by Kushieda as she said

"For the Diet Warriors… who live on in our memories." while Taiga gave a salute as well

They rushed to the door and and turned around to face and they both said

"See ya later!" as a defeated Kawashima look at the door they closed with a glare, then Kihara and Nanako asked if she was alright than she went back into character and faked crying for sympathy which she received.

"We're in for one stormy" Ryuuji said

"Fancy you say that Ryuuji, I was thinking the same thing" i muttered as Kitamura looked intently at Kawashima.

"I see… so that's how she reacts to that kind of approach." we looked at Kitamura confused as we waited for class to start.

Afternoon

The rain cleared up, which lead to me, Ryuuji, Taiga, and Kushieda standing on the roof of the school while takesba big drink of the can of soda she's holding.

"That was great! Brilliant performance there, Minorin!" she said proudly to Kushieda

"I never knew it got so intense when girls threw down." Ryuuji said

"A fight is not i would it Ryuuji" i sighed drinking my water

"Well, I'm a Diet Warrior, so I couldn't ignore her blasphemies. The gods of weight loss only smile the ones who are willing to face the ugly truth about their fat. With any luck, the day will come when she understands."

I chuckled a little bit at her statement and said "If you say so"

Someone caught Taiga's attention as well as me, Ryuuji and Kushieda, we were seeing a man wearing a yellow shirt holding a camera looking around school grounds.

"Huh?" Kushieda wondered

"What's up with that guy?" Taiga questioned as i looked at the guy intently while taking a guess on who was and hope it's not. what i think he is. As the three of us parted ways with Kushieda and we started walking to Ryuuji's house.

As we were walking Taiga stopped and started talking

"Hey, guys I was thinkin'. What do you say I make a big fat salad for ya?" she asked

"You can make salad?" Ryuuji asked sceptically

"I learned how in elementary school. And they even taught me how to make my own dressing. First you have to buy some lettuce, rip the leaves apart, hack it all up, then you put everything on a plate. Voila! It's done!" she said while Ryuuji wasn't that impressed

"Actually, you totally skipped over the whole "rinsing the lettuce" part. And the dressing? What happened to that?" he said nitpicking while I used my elbow and bumped his hip. He looked at me and I shooked my head.

"Leave it alone man, let her have this" I said as Taiga looked proudly at me and turned to Ryuuji slightly glaring.

"Seriously Ryuuji, you nag like an in-law, you know that?" Ryuuji wanted to respond but we turned to see Kawashima running to catch up to us.

"Saikawa!" she yelled running straight to me, clinging to my arm, she's clearly afraid of something

"Kawashima, what's wrong?" I asked with concern while trying to ignore that her *cough* assets were pressed against my arm.

"Someone's following me, so could I walk with you?" she asked, I was baffled but the look of fear on her face says it all she was ready to cry. I turned around as Ryuuji did the same to see the same man with the camera from the school poorly hiding behind a lamp post.

I was going to press on for an answer but we both looked to see Taiga's evil aura appeared once again.

"Hey. Wanna step away from him? Don't you ignore me while you drape yourself all over him. All over him, all over him, all over him… she said while holding a trash, with malicious intent towards Kawashima.

"Taiga, I don't think this is a good-" I said trying to diffuse the situation but...

"I'm scared Saikawa!" but Kawashima had to interrupt me and cling to me even tighter, which set Taiga off even more.

"AHHHH! Get away from him, you exhibitionist!" she yelled chucking the can at us, we both ducked as it went towards the cameraman, stuff from the trash can spilled next to him as he got scared and ran off. Things calmed down so I got to ask my questions to Kawashima

"Ok, what's going on?, who was that guy? you know him or something?"

"Oh, well, not really. He's just a fan who likes taking pictures of me. Models have to deal with people like that all the time. I even transferred schools to get away." she answered but I couldn't help but noticed that the last part of her answer sounded like it was laced with venom.

Are you on your way home right now? she asked

"Y-Yeah." I responded with confusion

"I'm scared of running into him again, so could I hide at your place for a bit?" Kawashima asked desperately.

"Totally understand. Don't worry, leave everything to me! If you could choose a drafty old rental and a secure apartment with automated locks, which would you pick?" Taiga butted in before I gave my answer

"The fancy apartment, of course!" Ami said excitedly which caused a smirk to creep on Taiga's face and replied

"Then it's settled. You're comin' over to my place." causing Kawashima to backtrack

"Huh? Okay, hold on. There's no way I'm going anywhere with you." she said with slight distain in her voice as Taiga's face kept her smirk

"That's cool. I won't twist your arm about it. But if you wanna know the truth, Ren's house is so vulnerable, it was super easy for me to sneak in." she responded knowing that she had Kawashima was playing right into her hands.

"Really?" Ami asked me as I gave a simple nod

"Your choice. It's not my business, anyway." Taiga said casually walking away then Kawashima grabbed her bag and started to follow Taiga to her apartment telling her to wait.

"I'm surprised you went along with Taiga's plan" Ryuuji said to me as he started to pick the trash can Taiga threw and started to clean up mess.

"It was an easy choice, no way I was going to let her stay in my apartment and have it be awkward even if what she is fake, besides no skin off our noses." I explained which prompted a small smile from Ryuuji.

"Can't argue with that" he said as we went our separate ways, I went back to my apartment, did schoolwork, fed Maple and laid down on my bed but I spotted a picture frame on my desk, it was a picture of me when I was younger and a younger Ami Kawashima next to my younger self. I remembered now, we knew each other.

"I still can't believe that the Ami Kawashima, who used to come over for my mother's clothes, who was sweet, and kinda airheaded, and I had a crush on was all just a lie to hide a mean and cold hearted personality. I grew angry at this realization.

I managed to calm thanks to Maple sitting on my lap as her soothing purrs kicked in, as I pet my cat"s head, another thought crossed my mind.

"How long will it take until Kawashima realizes that we knew each other and we were friends?" as sleep consumed me as I drifted to sleep.

Morning

Class was about to start as I started putting my supplies on my desk, but I saw Kawashima and decided to greet her.

"Good Morning" I said

"Good Morning..." she replied miserably, she was in terrible shape, dark circles on her eyes, it felt like she didn't sleep at all.

"Tiring day yesterday huh?" I asked slightly concerned

"I know. I haven't recovered from yesterday." she responded

"Yeah, that must've been scary" I said

"That's not why. I went to Aisaka's apartment and… for five hours, or was it six hours?" she said recalling her time with Taiga.

'What happened, did she hurt you" I said as I stood up, then Kawashima started shaking then started rambling about names of different people, I was able to get her to sit down and relax as class got started.

Timeskip

"Man, you should have seen her! I made her do 150 impressions! It was seriously beyond unbelievable!" Taiga said recalling her time with Kawashima yesterday night as the three of us were standing by a vending machine

"You made her do an impression of Mitsuhide Akechi?" I asked astounded and a little scared from what Taiga did to Kawashima

"How the heck is anyone supposed to do that?" Ryuuji chimed in

"I told her I'd kick her out on the street if she didn't do the impressions I asked! She was so desperate!" she continued with a victorious smile.

"Your evil" Ryuuji muttered

"Not at all. Thanks, Aisaka" Kitamura said next to Taiga

"Where'd you come from?" Ryuuji said

"K-Kitamura!" she said flustered at his presence

"Aisaka. I've got a huge favour to ask you, I'm worried that if Ami doesn't drop that facade of hers, she's never going to have any real friends at school. That's why I want you guys to help her. Besides me, you're the only two who know her true nature." Kitamura asked the three of us most specifically Taiga but I decided to speak up.

"That's all well and good Kitamura but you do realize her and Kawashima don't get along right?" I said to him but I guess it fell on deaf ears and he put his hands together and pleaded.

"Aisaka! I beg you! As a friend, you're one of the only girls I know who I can ask to do this!" Ryuuji was about to help me but Taiga nodded stiffly agreeing to this.

"You're the best! Thank you so much!" Kitamura said happy with Taiga's answer as my thoughts went haywire

"I can only imagine how this will turn out, dammit Kitamura."

(Timeskip) Lunch

So Taiga went to work and it started with her convincing Kawashima to have lunch with me, Ryuuji, Kushieda and Taiga with threats of leaking her impressions, so to say that lunch was very quiet would be a massive understatement. I sat next to Kawashima and Ryuuji while Taiga and Kushieda sat across. Kitamura left for a student council meeting leaving the four of us

"I don't want to be here" Kawashima muttered

"Whoa! Awesome! You've got a heck of a lunch, Kushieda!" Ryuuji complimented Kushieda bento lunch

"If you're impressed by its size, don't worry. It's low in calories. Look! I got king oyster mushrooms, konjac, and here I got some konjac rice going on…" she explained the contents of her lunch leaving Kawashima even more bored and peeved

"Yo, Ami, konbu time!" Kushieda stood up with food on her fork trying to feed her.

"I don't want any..." Ami huffed

"Oh, okay" Kushieda said as she sat back down as she eyed my egg sandwiches that I had on my table, I had noticed that she had stars in her eyes she must have realized that's i made them.

"You want some Kushieda?" I asked her splitting a quarter from half of the sandwich she had a big smile on her face and took it and ate the quarter of the sandwich and nodded In appreciation, for some reason it made me feel happy she liked it but I guess I was so happy I went and explained the entire process

"It's so good right? My egg salad sandwich is light on the mayo and light on the salt, which brings out its sweetness to the max! And since I got these range free eggs from a good store, you can say it's the ultimate egg salad sandwich, seeking to capture the splendid taste of the egg itself!" I finished explaining and Ryuuji, Taiga and Kawashima looked at me like I was crazy and Kushieda who still had stars in her eyes was the only one in our table who like it so that's a win in my book.

"Anyway let's continue eating" Ryuuji said but Kawashima was curious at Ryuuji's lunch

"Hold on. Is there a reason you and Aisaka both have the exact same lunches today? Why is that?" she asked with Ryuuji trying to come up with a good lie, Taiga acted quick eating all the meats in his bento in record time.

"That takes care ofthatproblem. I got a bunch of egg and other fried food, and Ryuji just has rice and nori." she said as I slightly chuckled at the scene.

"Why'd you eat up all my food?!" Ryuuji yelled at Taiga afterwards Kawashima took a meetball from her bento and placed it on Ryuuji's earning a reluctant thanks from him.

"So, why do you let Aisaka treat you so horribly?" Kawashima asked me and Ryuuji but Taiga answered for him.

"Reincarnation. Ryuuji was my dog in a previous life. And everyone knows a dog's happiest when serving its master."

"What about Ren, what is he to you" Kawashima asked

"Simple. He's tolerable and my wolf so we have common ground" Taiga said was kinda the nicest thing she's ever said about me

"Correct! The three of them were destined to be together!" Kushieda proclaimed

"Oh hell no" the three of us said in unison and to be a little peeved at Kushieda

"Seriously, Minorin."

"Sorry! I was only kidding!" Kushieda said nervously leaving Kawashima not entirely convince and eyeing me for the rest of lunch.

After an eventful lunch, Kitamura stood at the podium front of the podium announcing a neighborhood cleanup event and asking if there any volunteers since attendance is a little low, I glance at Ryuuji who didn't look interested but Taiga raised his hand for him, so he was forced to do this prompting me to raise my hand as well considering Taiga's actions, I didn't have a choice.

Timeskip

The three of us got changed into our gym clothes and Ryuuji was not happy about being forced by Taiga to do this cleanup

"Man, why do I have to do this?" he groaned

"God, would you quit whining already? Me and Ren are gonna be out there helping too, y'know." Taiga replied

"Yeah, right. As if. You're just doing this so you can hang with Kitamura and I'm pretty sure you forced Ren to do this too" he shot back

"That's one way to put it." she said truthfully

"Appreciate your honesty Taiga and nope, this was my decision to joib" I said to the two as Ryuuji was kinda surprised but I shrugged it off

"Saikawa!" I turned around to see that Ami and Kushieda were in there gym clothes ready for the clean up as well

"Guess what? I decided to come along so I can check out the rest of the campus!" she said in a "cheerful" tone and Kushieda decided to give a nervous chuckle

"Minorin?" Taiga said suspiciously

"Okay, so… you know how I'm a Diet Warrior? Well, I've got no choice but to support a fellow girl who's dying to exercise the pounds off." Kushieda said rubbing the back of her head embarrassed

"Actually, I'm not really doing this to lose weight. Ready to go to work, Saikawa?" Ami asked me "happily"

"I guess" I replied with a shrug

The five of us gathered with the other with the other students who volunteered as our student council president stood in front of us and explained the cleanup while Ryuuji tried to clam Taiga down, after that was finished. We started walking to the area we were supposed to go I caught Taiga giving a disappointed sigh and mumbled to herself.

"Kitamura ended up going off withallthe student council people… What's the point in even being here?" I put a hand on her shoulder and said

"There's always next time Taiga let's just finished this up and we can go home" she gave a small smile and I smiled myself, it was a nice little moment but Kawashima had to ruin it.

"Oh look! I found a piece of trash that looks just like you! In terms of being helplessly small, that is." she mocked holding a dirty bottle cap

"Yeah, well, I just happened to find some trash that looks likeyou, In terms of being doughy, filthy and flabby, that is!" she shot back at Kawashima holding a piece of littered paper as the two of them glared darkly at each other. Me and Ryuuji couldn't help but sigh.

"Let's go Minorin, you too Ryuuji!" Taiga said to the two

"Oh! Are we eloping? I'm down with that!" Kushieda said with excitement

Before Ryuuji can protest, Taiga grabbed both his and Kushieda hands, walking off

"Come on, let's go!" Taiga yelled

"Right on! Garbage awaits!" Kushieda chirped as they left, leaving me and Ami alone to which I'm not a fan of.

'Can you believe that? They deserted us! Guess it's just you and me! Let's make the most of it." she smiled at all I can do is shrug we ended up by a river we started picking up trash.

"You know, picking up trash isn't so bad, after all! But then, maybe it's 'cause I'm with you! she said giggling while I try to act interested I try to say something but she interrupted

"Hey, you know what? We should check over that way next." she slipped on some mud but managed to not fall.

"Hey are you ok?" I asked with some concern.

"Ew, this is nasty! What the hell?! Of all the goddamn frickin'-" she complained bitterly about her shoe being full of mud.

"Kawashima?" I asked then she completely went back to her sweet persona.

"I mean, that was so scary! My shoes are all icky now, and-" she wanted to finish but she saw a frog on her shoe and her eyes widened and let's just say she completely freaked out. I managed to catch the frog and sent it back to the river I did kick in the face from Kawashima as a result but the job was done. She's was taking deep breaths as I try to comfort her.

"Calm down. It's okay. The frog's back home. everything's good. Take it easy."

"Arrgh! I am so sick of this BS!" she said angrily as she rose from the ground.

"Huh?" I asked confused

"I'm just kidding! Had you going, though!" she said while going back to her persona, and you can guess that was the the tipping point for me, I had enough of her. As silence fell on the two of us it started to rain and Kawashima spoke up.

"It's raining. Oh my god, I'm gonna get wet! We should find somewhere dry! Wait 'til the rain goes-" she said in her fake cutesy to but like I said before I had enough.

"Just stop already! Ok, please?" I said firmly

"Uhh… stop what? I don't get it. Um, what are you talking about?" she said trying to act dumb but it's not working

"Come on. You know. It's getting old. This whole act you put on. I don't get why you even bother with it?" I said holding my ground trying to show her I'm not fooled

"An act? You think I'm acting? I guess you're not falling for it anymore. Well, that sucks." said said with a smirk as her sweet tone goes away.

"I wasn't falling for it all, I knew this persona you put on was fake the entire time. You can stop and just...Be yourself?." I asked her

"…I wish I could. Thing is, I have to keep up this facade...You don't know what I have to put up with everyday, do you?" she answered and asked

"No but I want to try and understand" I replied

"That's okay. Anyway, I'm such an airhead, I-" she said trying to go back to her persona but her eyes widened as she spotted something or someone and she took off, I chased after Kawashima and spotted her hiding behind a scooter.

"Hey what's wrong? why'd you run off like that-" I asked hiding with her but she shushed me she signaled me to under a nearby bridge to see the same guy with the yellow shirt and camera from a day ago.

"It's the guy with the camera" I confirmed

"Yeah, well… to tell you the truth, he's… he's a stalker." she confessed

"What?" why didn't you tell us before?!" I asked with a small glare.

"Because- it's so frustrating. I didn't want anyone to find out. Because then, I'd have to admit that freak was messing up my life! See, he's the reason… I had to move here." she said sad and frustrated.

"Really?

"Yeah… I didn't want to cause trouble for my parents, so I moved in with some relatives. I even quit modeling to try to get away. But even so…he chased me all the way here and found me again." she said said as her head hung low with a continued sadness and frustration, she wasn't faking this this is 100% genuine I couldn't help but feel sympathy toward her.

I heard someone calling for me and Kawashima i looked up to see Kushieda, Ryuuji and Taiga going down the bridge stairs I assume trying to find us.

"Saikawa? Kawashima? Hello? That's so weird, they told us they'd be going this way." she claimed to them

"Yeah they should have gone this way Kushieda" Ryuuji responded to her claim

"Well, they didn't. So could we go home now?" she said bored.

"No way! I found a cute mini monster!" the stalker proclaimed while snapping pics as Ryuuji, Taiga and Kushieda stand still from the flashes

"Did you call me a monster?" Taiga asked starting to get angry, the air goes stale as the stalker keep taking pictures.

"Be careful!" i heard Kawashima say whispering

"Let's get one thing straight, buddy. You don't know me. So where does a creep like you get off calling me a monster?" she said to the stalker said in a very threatening tone while holding her trash bag from the cleanup as he stopped taking pictures

"Oh no. What does she think she's doing? He's a stalker, for god's sake!" Kawashima said to me while still looking at the scene on display

I didn't give you permission to take my picture, did I? What are you, some kinda pervert?! she asked threateningly to the stalker

Wha? I'm just taking pictures. I'm not hurting anyone. he responded trying to justify his actions but it was not effective.

"Shut your hole." she told him as she was ready for a fight

"I'm gonna smash that camera in to little pieces, and YOU WITH IT!!" she yelled raising her bag trying to hit the stalker in the head but he sidestepped out of the way and started to run from Taiga

"Where are going pervert?! Get back here!" she yelled at him and throwing her bag at him and started to chase the stalker as Ryuuji and Kushieda went after her. I sighed a little bit but Kawashima was stunned.

"How could she do that? She wasn't scared of him at all. …That bastard. Because of him… I had to quit modeling and move to this town. And it'shisfault I had to transfer schools. He's got me so stressed out, I binge on snacks all the time now. I can't believe it. I totally let that scumbag beat me, didn't I? Just like Aisaka. I let her beat me too." she finished explained all the things that led her to this very moment.

"What?" I asked kinda confused

Saikawa. When you told me to be myself, you meant I should drop the nice girl act, didn't you?" she asked me to confirm what I said to her earlier

"Yeah, Just be yourself" I replied firmly

"I think I get it now. I really do. No more cutesy crap! No more. No more no more no more no more no more no more… never again! No more hiding my horrible side from everyone!That'swho I am!And I refuse to be tortured by anyone ever again!" she proclaimed and ran after Ryuuji, Taiga and Kushieda I stood speechless after that.

All I can hear was Ami screaming, like it's a war cry

"Ok wow, just wow" it's the only thing I can say as I started to run and chase after her

After that outburst, she was amazing. And the way she ran through town, if the track team saw her, they'd recruit her to be honest. When she caught up to her stalker, she stomped his camera to bits and it literally scared the hell out of the guy.

"Oh my god. You'renothinglike the cute Ami I know! And that face, you're like some kind of monster! This whole time I've been taking pictures of a raging bitch!" he said as his perception of her was completely shattered

Oh, come on! On the outside, I'm the cutest girl you ever saw! That's all that matters, isn't it? Who cares what I'm really like? Kawashima said in her cutesy tone as the stalker ran for his life as I finally caught and I was by her side.

"Hey are you doing ok?" I asked the former model as she fell to her knees panting.

"I did it. Didn't I?" she asked me chuckling

"Yeah, you did." I said with a small smile

"Yeah, but… that was scary." Ami smiled in return but she had tears in her eyes as well.

Two of us got to my apartment so we can dry off from the rain.

"Here this will keep you warm" I said handing her a cup of tea which she accepted and to a sip.

"Green tea?" she asked and I nodded

"It's my mother's favorite tea and mine and well" I said as she took in that information her eyes widened as she realized something but she decided to keep it to herself.

"Taiga likes it when I make it for her too" I added

"Do you and Takasu always do that? I mean, do you always call Aisaka by her first name?" she asked curiously

"Yeah but I'm not dating her and Ryuuji is not dating her, She kinda grew on me over time she's kinda like a little sister to me now." I said on my standing with Taiga.

"I think she's really lucky. She may be self-centred and a total mess, but the thing about her is that she doesn't try to hide it. That's who she is. And even so, she's still has friends, and she has you. I wonder what you'd do if I ever decided to show you the real me…" Ami explained as she put her tea on the table

She started to crawl to me getting very...very close to me.

"Would you fall for me?" she said as she inched closer to me

"Your getting way too close Kawashima, hold on a second, please" I said as she got closer and closer her face was pleading for an answer her lips were inches away from mine as she was about to close the gap between our lips...
