Hello readers. It is finally time for Lincoln and the boys to perform slipknot at the festival. This is going to be a much longer chapter, also I apologize that I don't include the lyrics for most of the slipknot songs. This chapter would be so long if I did. Also, I apologize to fans of Beyond the Lie. I've been focusing on Finding Peace more because I find it much easier and relaxing to write compared to Beyond the Lie. I'm really busy currently, so it's just easier for me to focus on writing this story. I do promise that I will get a new chapter out eventually though. Anyways, let's begin.

Warning: Swearing because IT'S SLIPKNOT

The final bell rang at Royal woods middle school as Lincoln got up from his desk. Today was the day, the big day. The day where he and 8 other dudes dress up as Slipknot on Halloween night and perform for the people of Royal woods. He had practiced and practiced and now he was ready. Grabbing his backpack and putting it on his back, he walked out of class. Hearing the sounds of voices around him, he heard some mentions of the concert. People describe it as that band with the crazy masks. Lincoln internally was bubbling with excitement, but kept a straight face as he kept walking. Stopping to get a drink of water from the fountain, he realized a group was right next to him. It was Clyde and the gang, he quickly picked up the conversation.

"Alright guys, I have the whole route planned out. Will go to Huntington Manor and get all the largest size candies." he heard Clyde speaking

"Awesome Clyde, I've got my Ace Savvy costume all ready. I'm excited." Rusty said

Lincoln felt a surge of sadness go into him when he heard them describing the event, he missed going trick or treating with Clyde. But that was in the past, Clyde and the group were the ones that messed up. They're the reason he's not friends with them anymore. Besides, he's going to do something awesome tonight anyways. Swallowing the last bit of water down his throat, he walked past the group, hoping to not get their attention. That quickly became impossible once he heard a yell from across the hall.

"HEY LOUD"

Lincoln turned to see Ronnie Anne walking towards him. Many turned to see what was happening including the friend group. Who all immediately glared at Lincoln once they saw them. Lincoln was scared. Was Ronnie Anne mad at him for how he acted towards her when she was sick. Lincoln closed his eyes, expecting a beating. He felt her hand grab his wrist, but instead of a punch, he felt himself being moved. Opening his eyes, he saw she was trying to direct him somewhere

"We need to talk,'' she stated simply.

"Okay" he sighed to himself. He removed himself from her grasp as the two continued walking. Eventually leading to outside the school. He followed Ronnie Anne to a side of the school where it was just her and him. She suddenly stopped and turned around to look at him.

"So what is it Ronnie Anne, you mad about last week. You're gonna beat me up, let's get this over with."

Lincoln got into a stance where he was ready to fight. But surprisingly, Ronnie Anne didn't do the same.

"Thank you."

"Huh." Lincoln said confused as he got out of his fighting position

"I-I wanted to say thank you for taking care of me when I was sick. I appreciate it."

Lincoln was surprised by this. "Oh, well thanks. It was no big deal. I'm just glad your feeling better."

The two just awkwardly stood there, not saying anything.

"Well Ronnie Anne, I guess I'll see you around." he said as he turned to walk away

"WAIT." she yelled

Lincoln turned around again to look at her.

"I also wanted to ask you something." Lincoln was surprised by this

"Tonight, there's going to be this big concert like every year. I heard they're playing Slipknot. I've seen you wear their shirts before and I listened to them before since Bobby used to like them a lot. I was wondering if you want to go see it with me and just, hangout you know." she said blushing

Lincoln looked at her shocked, Ronnie Anne had basically just asked him out on a date. He didn't really know how to respond. He knew he couldn't say yes considering he was performing. He could lie and say he was doing something else. Or he could just tell the truth. Lincoln decided to just say screw it and go with the ladder.

"Well, that's funny Ronnie Anne. You se-"

"Nah, I get it. You're probably busy or something."

"Wait Ronnie Anne, you didn't let me fin-"

"I mean, why would you agree to going with the girl who pants you regularly."

"Ronnie Anne, let me spea-"

"You probably were going anyway, wouldn't want me to ruin the mome-"

"I'M PERFORMING." he yelled, finally being able to speak.

Ronnie Anne stopped, confused. "What?"

"I said, I'm performing in the Slipknot concert."

"Wait, you're telling me you're gonna be one of those 9 guys who wear jumpsuits and masks."

Lincoln nodded, "Number 4, play guitar."

"Wow seriously, how do I know you're not bullshitting me."

Lincoln, without saying anything. Pulled out his phone. He clicked on an image and showed it to Ronnie Anne. The picture was of him in his room, wearing the jumpsuit and jester mask with him holding the Jazzmaster. He sent the picture to the guys when he got it. Ronnie Anne's eyes widened when she saw the image.

"Wow, you're not kidding."

Lincoln sighed, "Don't tell others, not many know."

"Will do. I think I'm still gonna go. I hope I see you there."

"Yeah thanks, maybe we will meet up at one point."

The two stood there awkwardly again. Lincoln chose to break the silence.

"Well, I guess I'll see you in a few hours."

"Yeah, see you then Lame-O, I mean Lincoln."

Lincoln grinned at her before the two parted ways. Lincoln tried to process what just happened, but he needed to think about something else. He needed to get ready.

Scene Change:

"Alright girls, that's it for the day. Enjoy your Halloween."

Lynn Jr. listened to her coach as she walked off the soccer field. It had been a tough practice, and the teenager was thirsty. Grabbing her water bottle from her bench, she chugged down the last bits of water left in it. Her teammates and friends Polly Pain and Margo joined her as they also grabbed their waters.

"Man, coach was brutal today." Polly said before taking a swig of water.

"Yeah, I don't think I could kick another ball." said Margo, panting.

"I think Coach is just stressed about the upcoming game. Hazeltucky is good." Lynn commented

"Yeah, fair point. I don't remember the last time Hazeltucky lost."

"So anyway, Lynn, Polly. What are you guys doing tonight? After all, it is the night of terror."

Lynn thought about what she had planned for the night, sadly her mother didn't have the time to set up Lucy's haunted corn maze. She probably would just eat some candy and watch some horror movies.

"Actually, I wanted to ask you guys about tonight." Margo said

"What's up?" Lynn asked Curiously

"Well, Tabby invited me to go to the concert that her dad's hosting tonight, and she said I could invite you guys if you wanted to go."

Lynn thought about it, she heard tales from Luna about Tabby and Sams fathers concerts. How the late night concert was crazy and energetic. It sounded like fun.

"Sure why not."

"Yeah, I've got nothing better to do."

"Great. Tabby said the aftershow is gonna be wild, they're gonna cover this crazy band. I think she said they were called Slipknot."

Lynn thought about the name, it sounded familiar. "Do they have many members, and do they all wear masks?" she asked Margo

"Yeah, that's how she described them. I hear their music is brutal."

"My brother likes them a lot I think. Sounds like fun."

"Alright, meet you guys at location at 8, will have some time before they go on."

All 3 girls agreed as they all started walking home. Lynn slung her bag over her shoulder. Excited but also interested to see the band performing tonight.

Scene Change:

It was 7:00, Lincoln was in his room packing for the concert. Max was gonna pick him up soon, they were gonna arrive early to get ready. He had already eaten some leftovers that were from last night. He put his mask and jumpsuit in a duffel bag he had, and put his Jazzmaster in its case. He then saw his phone light up. It was a text from Max, he was outside. It was time. Lincoln grabbed both the case and bag and left his room and headed downstairs. He started heading towards the door, but was suddenly stopped when he ran into his dad.

"Woah sport, where ya going?" he asked

"Oh, I'm just gonna hangout with Anthony and jam for a bet. We're gonna go to the concert tonight." he lied

"Oh, then what's the duffel bag for."

"Shit" Lincoln thought to himself. If he didn't come up with a good lie soon. His dad would know he's performing tonight. He quickly came up with a lie.

"Oh, just some extra clothes if we get dirty at the concert. People can be aggressive there."

Lynn Sr accepted the response, "Alright son, have fun. Just be careful."

"Thanks dad." Lincoln responded as he made his way to the door and opened it.

Stepping outside, he saw Max in the driver's seat with all the other guys in the car as well. Max popped the trunk and Lincoln put his stuff in the car. There were a few other duffel bags and another case inside, Lincoln guessed it was the other guy's stuff.

He closed the trunk and got in the car.

"You boys ready." Lincoln asked as he fastened his seatbelt

"Hell Yeah, let's do this." Anthony said

"Let's go" Chris said enthusiastically

"Alright Alright" Max said as he switched gears and pulled out of the driveway. The boys listened to some metal in the car to try and get them excited. Opeth was a popular choice. Soon enough, they were at the stadium.

The stadium was a well known one that was used often at royal woods. It was open with a stage in the back end. Rows and rows of seats circled the front of it, with a giant amount of space in front for people to stand or mosh.

The boys got out of the car and grabbed their stuff. Immediately, a security guard approached them.

"You boys Loud, Walker, Olsen, and Russo." he asked

All 4 boy nodded

"Come with me." he stated, gesturing to them to follow.

The four boys followed the guard into a blocked off area only for security. They were let in through a backdoor that was backstage. Immediately, the sounds of music filled Lincoln's ears. The concert was an Eagles cover band, and Hotel California was currently playing. Lincoln was able to catch a glimpse, as he saw the band on stage as well as rows and rows of people of all ages. He and the rest of the guys continued walking. They soon approached a door, the guard opened it and the four boys walked in. It was a backstage area, Lincoln spotted the 5 other guys, as well as Tabbys father. But to Lincoln's surprise, he also saw Luan there.

They walked over to the group. Tabbys father saw them.

"Boys, great to see you. Are you guys ready?"

All 4 nodded

"Good, we're going on stage at 9:00. That leaves you guys over an hour to get ready. Be ready." he said before walking off to talk with someone.

Lincoln immediately turned to look at Luan.

"Luan, what are you doing here?"

Luan smiled at her brother, "Helping out of course Linc. I have a history of makeup and costumes. You guys need help being fully ready. Also, I wanna help out my brother and boyfriend." she said, winking at Chris. Chris blushed at the action. Causing Luan and Lincoln to burst out laughing.

"Alright thanks, we should all warm up now guys."

All members went to their respective areas to practice. Lincoln started practicing his guitar, Max practiced his bass, Anthony was warming up on his practice pad that he brought. And Chris was doing vocal exercises. The 5 other members were also practicing as well. Soon enough, it was 8:30. Half hour before they were to go on.

"Alright guys, time to get ready." Luan said

Lincoln put down his guitar and grabbed his duffel bag. Opening it, he pulled out his jumpsuit and mask. The 8 other guys did the same, soon enough all 9 guys were in the jumpsuits. All that's left was the masks. Luan helped apply this black makeup that covered their faces just like the members do, it was light and gave a mysterious look. Soon all the members put on their masks. Lincoln was about to apply his jester's mask, but Luan stopped him.

"Wait, Linc, we gotta do this first." she stated. She rummaged through her bag and pulled out a can of hair dye.

"Your white hair is too obvious." she said

She handed Linc a towel to cover his face and she started spraying his hair, it took a few min. But soon Luan finished and showed Lincoln through a mirror. Lincoln stared back at himself, his pure white hair was completely gone and instead was now dark black.

"Wow Luan, you did good. Thanks." he said

"No problem Linc." she said patting his back

Lincoln put on his Jester mask, opening the zipper to speak. He was stressed but excited. He started to hear much commotion from the crowd outside. A chant of "Slipknot, Slipknot, Slipknot" over and over again. Wow, they were this excited. They were just a cover band.

"Alright boys huddle up." Chris yelled through his dread mask.

All 9 members huddled into a circle. Chris chose to speak

"Okay boys, I bet we're all stressed out. But we worked hard as hell, and it's about to pay off. So let's give Royal woods a damn good show."

"YEAH" all the boys yelled

"ALRIGHT LET'S DO THIS." Chris yelled

The boys broke apart and started walking onto the stage, instruments in hand. This was it.

Scene Change:

(Five minutes earlier)

"Finally, we got our seats." Lynn yelled over the chanting as all 3 girls sat down

"Yeah, Jesus, these people are crazy." Margo yelled

"You ain't seen nothing yet." Tabby said jokingly

The 3 girls had arrived at the concert and met Tabby at the front entrance. They saw a lot of crazy stuff while walking to their seats. They saw a group of people colliding with each other over some crazy metal song. The smell of weed was very common right outside the concert, and a fight even broke out in front of them. They ran into Luna and Sam who were leaving after The Eagles show ended. They finally were able to get to their seats, which were right in the center front row. Right above the pit where a bunch of Highschoolers were standing. Lynn noticed a few of her older sisters' friends in the pit.

"When are they going on" Polly asked

"Any minute now." Tabby said

"Tabby, is that you?"

The girls turned to see a hispanic girl in the seat next to Tabby. Lynn didn't recognize the girl, but Tabby did.

"Ronnie Anne, what's up." she said giving her a high five

"Not much excited for the concert."

Tabby decided to introduce the others to Ronnie Anne.

"Guys, this is my friend Ronnie Anne Santiago."

"Sup" Polly said

"Nice to meet you." Margo said

"Hi, your Bobby's sister right" Lynn said simply

Ronnie Anne nodded her head

"Lynn Loud" she said

The conversation ended abruptly when shouting increased. Lynn turned to see the commotion and saw what was happening. The band started walking onto stage. A distorted sound started to play with a repeating phrase

"THE WHOLE THING I THINK IS SICK"

Lynn looked at the group, they were honestly scary. The DJ wore a gas mask and seemed to be bouncing a ton. The drummer was wearing what looked to be a kabuki mask and was flipping the bird with both hands while on his kit. The bassist wore a pig mask and walked around the stage. One of the percussionists was standing on top of his drums with a long pinnochio like nose. One of the guitarists had a creepy jester mask and was just staring at the crowd. The keyboardist wore what looked to be a space helmet with spikes. The other percussionist wore a creepy clown mask that honestly scared Lynn. The other guitarist wore what looked to be a metal hockey mask and was pointing at his guitar, screaming something. But above all else, the singer looked the creepiest. He wore a tattered damage mask with long dreads. They all wore white jumpsuits with numbers on them. The distorted music continued until he finally spoke.

"Happy fucking Halloween Royal Woods." he yelled

The crowd erupted with applause

"Tonight, we Fucking bring you Slipknot."

The singer gave a longer loud growl before the song began. Immediately the music was heavy and people noticed. Maybe people in the stands were jumping up and down, and the pit turned into complete chaos. The musicians were jumping around and the singer then spoke. Suddenly, a voice spoke.

"Here comes the pain." the song continued.

"GET YOUR FUCKING HANDS IN THE AIR."

Enemy, show me what you wanna be

I can handle anything

Even if I can't handle you

Readily, either way it better be

Don't you fuckin' pity me

Get up, Get off

What the hell am I sayin'?

I don't know about malevolent

Sure as hell decadent

I want somebody to step up, step off

Walls! Let me fall! Fuck you all!

Get a grip, don't let me slip 'til I drop the ball

Fuck this shit, I'm sick of it

You're goin' down, this is a war

Fuck it!

Who's the fuck am I to criticize you

Twisted state of mind?

Your leavin' me suspect, I'm leavin' you grotesque

Feels like a burn from which you never learn

Cause and effect, you jealous ass

Press your face against the glass, suffer

Fuck this shit, I'm sick of it

You're goin' down, this is a war

Go!

I've just begun

It's about that time gotta get mine

I've just begun

It's about that time gotta get mine

I've just begun

It's about that time gotta get mine

I've just begun

It's about that time gotta get mine

Yeah!

The two percussionists then grabbed microphones and started screaming with the singer

You can't kill me 'cause I'm already inside you

You can't kill me 'cause I'm already inside you

You can't kill me 'cause I'm already inside you

You can't kill me 'cause I'm already inside you

Sic! Sic! Sic! Sic!

The song ended, and the crowd erupted. Lynn was shocked. That was awesome, the music was so loud and angry, she just wanted to jump around.

Lynn turned to Tabby

"That was crazy"

"We're just getting started" Tabby said smirking

"ALRIGHT ROYAL WOODS, THIS NEXT FUCKING SONG IS CALLED EYELESS."

A sample started playing as the dj jumped into the mosh pit, he started crowd surfing as the song continued.

Insane, am I the only motherfucker with a brain?

I'm hearing voices but all they do is complain

How many times have you wanted to kill?

Everything and everyone, say you'll do it but never will

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

I am my father's son

'Cause he's a phantom, a mystery and that leaves me nothing!

How many times have you wanted to die?

It's too late for me, all you have to do is get rid of me

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

It's all in your head

It's all in my head

It's all in your head

Yeah

I tried, you lied to me for so long

Everywhere I go, there's a sense of it

Freak on my antics and give me a choice

Doesn't matter if I give a shit, it's shit that you give me

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

It's all in your head

It's all in my head

It's all in your head

Yeah

Do you wanna feel pain? Takin' my name in vain

Caring never felt so lame inside

Anybody else got pride? Do you wanna take my life?

Maybe I'll reverse my ride

Who the fuck are you? Fuck you!

Better suck it up 'cause you bled through

Better get away from me

Stay the fuck away from me

I feel safe, seems you're saved

I feel safe, it seems you're saved

Look me in my brand new eye

Look me in my brand new eye

Look me in my brand new eye

Motherfucker!

Look me in my brand new eye

Look me in my brand new eye

Look me in my brand new eye

Look at me in my brand new…

The song ended, and Lynn was furiously headbanging, this was awesome. They kept going, they played songs called Wait and Bleed, Before I forget, and Psychosocial. Lynn and the rest of the crowd were jumping and headbanging. And the mosh pit was creating circles and people were slamming into each other.

"Alright this next song is called LEFT BEHIND."

Analysis

I've known faces that have disappeared in time

Find me wrapped in glass and slowly soaked in lime

All my friends have pictures meant to make you cry

I've seen this and wondered what I've done to

Calcify!

As I close my eyes, I feel it all slipping away

(I come towards you)

We all got left behind, we let it all slip away

As I close my eyes, I feel it all slipping away

(I come toward you)

We all got left behind, we let it all slip away

I can't stand to see your thalidomide robot face

I don't even try it

You had to be a liar just to

Infiltrate me - I'm still drowning

As I close my eyes, I feel it all slipping away

(I come toward you)

We all got left behind, we let it all slip away

As I close my eyes, I feel it all slipping away

(I come toward you)

We all got left behind, we let it all slip away

Take this all away

Take this all away

I can feel it on my mouth

I can taste you on my fingers

I can hear you like the holy ghost

And kill you if you get too close

As I close my eyes, I feel it all slipping away

(I come toward you)

We all got left behind, we let it all slip away

As I close my eyes, I feel it all slipping away

(I come toward you)

We all got left behind, we let it all slip away

We let it all slip away

We let it all slip away

We let it all slip away

We let it all slip away

The song ended and they kept going. They then played a ton of other songs until it was the last song left.

"We are going to play one more song for you tonight. You all know what it is." The crowd chanted along.

"SPIT IT OUT."

Since you never gave a damn in the first place,

Maybe it's time you had the tables turned

'Cause in the interest of all involved I got the problem solved

And the verdict is guilty…

...Man nearly killed me

Steppin' where you fear to tread

Stop, drop and roll

You were dead from the git-go!

Big mouthfucker, stupid cocksucker

And if you're scared of me now, then you're dumber than I thought

Always is, and never was

Foundation made of piss and vinegar

Step to me, I'll smear ya

Think I fear ya? Bullshit!

Just another dumb punk chompin' at this tit

Is there any way to break through the noise?

Was it something that I said that got you bent?

Gotta be that way if you want it

Sanity, literal profanity hit me!

Spit it out

All you wanna do is drag me down

All I wanna do is stamp you out

Spit it out

All you wanna do is drag me down

All I wanna do is stamp you out

Maybe it's the way you gotta spread a lotta rumor fodder

Keepin' all your little spies and leaving when you realize

Step up, fairy

I guess it's time to bury your ass with the chrome

Straight to the dome

You heard me right, bitch, I didn't stutter

And if you know what's good, just shut up and beg, brother

Backstab - don't you know who you're dissin'?

Side swipe, we know the Ass that your kissin'

Bigity-biggidy bitch boy, halfway hauser

Don't hear shit cuz It keeps gettin' louder

Come on, and get a face full 'o tactic

Lipping off hard, going home in a basket

You got no pull, no power, no nothin

Now you start shit?

Well, ain't that something?

Payoffs don't protect, and you can hide if you want

But I'll find you, comin' up behind you!

Spit it out

All you wanna do is drag me down

All I wanna do is stamp you out

Spit it out

All you wanna do is drag me down

All I wanna do is stamp you out

A sample started playing as the singer spoke. "I want all of you to get down and when I say jump the fuck up. You all jump the fuck up." The song then continued.

'Bout time I set this record straight

All the needlenose punchin' is making me irate

Sick o' my bitchin' fallin' on deaf ears

Where you gonna be in the next five years?

The crew and all the fools, and all the politix

Get your lips ready, gonna gag, gonna make you sick

You got dick when they passed out that good stuff

BAM!

Are you sick of me?

Good enough, had enough!

JUMP THE FUCK UP

The entire crowd jumped up in synch

Fuck me! I'm all out of enemies!

Fuck me! I'm all out of enemies!

Fuck me! I'm all out of enemies!

Fuck me! I'm all out of enemies!

Fuck me! I'm all out of enemies!

Fuck me! I'm all out of enemies!

Fuck me! I'm all out of enemies!

Fuck me! I'm all out of enemas!

Spit it out

All you wanna do is drag me down

All I wanna do is stamp you out

Spit it out

All you wanna do is drag me down

All I wanna do is stamp you out

Spit!

Spit!

Spit!

Spit!

Spit... it out!

The crowd erupted as the band walked off stage

Lynn turned to the girls, who were all tired from so much shouting and jumping.

"Guys, that was awesome."

"Yeah, I did not expect that much energy." Polly said

"They really cranked it up" Margo said

"Wow, that was crazy. I'm surprised Bobby liked this music."

"You guys wanna go meet em" Tabby

All girls turned to her

"WHAT"

"Yeah, I've got backstage access. Come on"

The 4 girls followed her as they went past crows of leaving kids. After getting past some security, they entered backstage.

Lynn saw all the members talking without their masks, they all had some grey face due to some make up. But they all surprisingly looked like normal people. Lynn was shocked to see Luan there. She approached her. "Luan, why are you here?"

"Just helping out some friends." she said smiling

Ronnie Anne then suddenly moved towards the 4th guy, and when Lynn saw a clear view of who it was, she was completely shocked. It was Lincoln, he had his hair dyed black but it was him.

"Lincoln, that was incredible."

"Thanks Ronnie Anne." Lincoln said clearly exhausted

"L-Lincoln." Lynn stuttered out

Lincoln turned and stared wide eyed at his sister

"Lynn, you were at the show."

"Yeah, dude you were awesome. Why didn't you tell me that metal is so cool."

"Well, you and the others thought it was disgusting and gross." Lincoln said sarcastically

Some guilt hit Lynn as she recalled the conversation,

"I'm sorry I spoke badly about you Linc. My bad, "

Lincoln shrugged, "It's fine."

Max then looked at his phone, "Alright boys, we need to go."

Lincoln and the others started packing their things.

"Alright, Lynn. I'll see you back at home. Be safe."

"Okay, and Little bro. Rock on."

It's finally done. The big halloween concert. Question is, what's next?
