Review. Faster updates if faster reviews. I know it's been a while and I should probably update a few of my other lemons. But I felt like putting out a Halloween themed chapter. Review, this and my other stuff too.
Marco snorted as he spooned Star, pulling her closer and closer to him. Nuzzling the back of her golden head as she sighed in silent delight. The two were in a warm little bubble of delight. Sure the rest of the castle was cold and they had to get up soon, but they just wanted to enjoy this feeling just a little while longer.
"Morning beautiful." He grumbles into her hair.
"Morning yourself." She sighs as she kisses his knuckles. The others must have gotten up a while ago. Because their normally massive bed was empty except for the two of them.
"Kelly must be training. The others must be watching the kids." Star said as she wiggled against him.
"Don't you just want this moment to last forever?" Marco sighed. The two basked in silent delight.
Then a small red portal opened beside them and a pair of twin toddlers came sprinting out holding hands and giggling in equal parts evilly and mischievously.
"Would you two get back here already?!" Hekapoo spat as a larger orange portal appeared above the two grinning gremlin like children as they ran across the room and a second portal appeared out of thin air ahead of them. They wasted no time in jumping through it as Hekapoo dive bombed across the bed with a growl. Her eyes flaming and her horns seeming to glow a dark golden color.
"DAMMIT!" She crowed as the portal snapped closed just before she caught the twins as they snapped into a different section of the castle. "Those little brats!" She snarled getting up and making a clone.
"I saw a lot of grass you check the upper gardens!" She ordered as she made a few more clones and sent them out through multiple portals that she created. Each one giving a quick nod. Star and Marco were now sitting up in bed with the sheets around their chests. Star's hair was in a wild mane of bed head while Marco had a bit of drool on his cheek, a a few red lipstick marks on his neck.
"Would you two get out of bed already? It's like ten. We need your help with the small army of kids that sprung from his very specific loins." Hekapoo snapped, for an immortal being that never got tired she looked exhausted. Star rolled her eyes but clambered out of bed tip toeing across the marble floor to a big puffy shag carpet.
"Cold, cold floor. Star no likey. Why are you complaining so much. It's not like they can teleport off of the castle grounds. They'll probably end up in the pantry trying to get to the candy on the top shelf. Why the two don't just teleport up there is beyond me." Star said as she picked up some sweat pants and half of a ball gown that she had improvised into a very unique looking crop top.
"Because those two are getting too good at this! Picture the two of them by the time they turn five! Or thirteen! We won't be able to keep up by then!" Hekapoo said as she frowned and then gave Marco a quick peck on the lips and stuck out her tongue. "You've got morning breath. Fix it and then get a real good morning kiss, you too Princess." Hekapoo gave a flirty wink as Star rolled her eyes.
"It's ambassador and you know it Commissioner." Hekapoo stuck out her tongue and made another portal, got on all fours and seemed to take off at a launching sprint into another section of the castle after the two kids that she was unfortunately saddled with.
"It is probably time to get up." Marco said as he stretched and stood up. He blushed and attempted to cover up his morning wood, Janna had torn his underwear off of him last night and rode him so hard that the bed frame almost broke. It was almost scary and none of them knew what had gotten into her. And she hadn't explained herself either. Because of course she wouldn't.
Star blushed herself as she checked out Marcos chiseled body, sure they had been married for nearly sixteen years...But there was just something so...visceral about him that she still found herself magnetically attracted to him.
Marco got his training shorts and a red hoodie off of the floor where he had tossed it yesterday. He brushed some dust off of it and tsked. He really should be hanging this stuff up more.
"You did put the halloween candy on the top shelf of the pantry right? So that the kids don't get at it? Or Janna? Or Kelly? Or Jackie?"
"Or you?" Marco teased as Star scoffed in faux outrage.
"I will have you know that I am-"
"I hid it Star, and I'm not telling you where. It's for the kids in echo creek." Star swore under her breath. Sure she was rich enough to just go out and buy her own candy, or her own candy factory. But that was beside the point! Halloween Candy just slaps differently! It was special.
"It's got to be special." Thomas said as he jotted down another idea and then scratched it out, his magical tablet adjusting for him a little.
"Well how about you propose? That's always romantic." Jane said sarcastically as she chewed on some super sugary cereal. She frowned, rooted around her mouth and pulled out a small piece of plastic, a ring in the shape of a spider. "Oh score."
"That was just in your mouth. That's disgusting." Thomas deadpanned as she wrapped it into her hair so that it resembled a weird roosting animal.
"Everything's gross. And you're gross for trying to get back with your ex girlfriend after grabbing her butt twice at a music festival and then dancing with another girl." GP responds as she ate some yogurt and then paused before rooting around in her mouth and pulling out a small plastic spider on a ring. "Oh sweet the prize."
"Where does Mom and Dad shop from that has little prizes in the yogurt?" Thomas said as he went back to his list. "That's why I need to make it special! I need to show her why we started dating in the first place! Some sort of big romantic gesture...You guys can get me fireworks right?" He said looking up. GP snorted out her nose and shook her head.
"To think that I've become the responsible one in this family."
"You and me both sister. It's depressing." Jane said as she finished her meal and moved to the sink. The kitchen was small, one of many small kitchens in the castle that was made so that they could eat their meals in a closer enviroment. Marco had insisted on it, and it had cost the Mewman government a pretty amount of gold.
Jane heard a thump and looked out the window to see a groaning Stabby plastered against the window pane with a sword in hand. She moaned and waved to her sister who shot finger guns back. Stabby then planted her feet on either side of the window and lunged backwards and spun in midair. Her face perfectly composed as she raised her sword. Laser focused on a grinning Kelly.
"Oh that is so what I like to see! Game face! Whoo!" Kelly whooped as Stabby began to duck and weave and swipe the sharp steel at her moms unprotected belly. The two were only supposed to be practicing. But they had somehow 'forgotten' their training equipment like padding, leather swords and fake shields somewhere in the castle and weren't too concerned about finding the equipment.
"Your left side is faltering, remember to watch your toes kiddo!" Kelly said gleefully as she began to advance on her opponent with sword dashing out and threatening to slice Stabby right in half. To her daughters credit she seemed totally in control of herself and her breathing and her movements.
"God those two are crazy. Why put yourself through all of that?" Jane snickers as she shakes her head in amazement.
"Maybe because not all of us accidentally had cybernetic implants placed in their body which made them physically and mentally superior to most human beings? But somehow inferior to a common toaster?" GP said sarcastically. Jane held up her fist and a threatening bolt of electricity crackled over her knuckles.
"Watch it jerk." Jane said in a low voice.
"If you two are going to fight and not help me on my get my girlfriend back plan then please do it somewhere else while I focus on this. Thanks." Thomas snapped as he tapped his magical manuscript. "Chocolate...girls like chocolate right? What if I gave her homemade chocolate? I'm putting chocolate firmly in the maybe pile."
"Someone for the love of all Mewman kind help me with these two." Sol said as she wandered into the small kitchenette with two struggling kids squirming and kicking on top of her. One was crawling her back as she held Glacier in a mini headlock and tried to keep him from biting himself, her or the baby Keats.
"Jeez, how did you wind up on baby sitting duty?" Jane said sympathetically but didn't move a single inch to help her younger sister out. After all it wasn't like she was the one who had to take care of the two little jerks.
"I was walking by at the wrong time. Someone please take them I am just...so tired..."Sol said looking visibly drained before slumping onto the floor with her head on the cool tile. They all looked at her sympathetically. After all she had been living for almost a solid eighteen months without access to the magic dimension which for the first fourteen to fifteen years of her life had provided her with all of her energy. Not just magical energy but also physical energy. It helped digest her food, get her up in the morning, even just walk around. She had been one of the more powerful magical users. And now she was weaker then the average human.
"Alright. Come on, you too Thomas." GP said picking up the baby Keats who glared at Glacier and stuck out their tongue. This seemed to send Glacier into a complete tantrum as he sprinted on his tiny baby legs at GP with his fists raised in a viking scream. Thomas scooped him up and held him back.
"What's the matter with this guy? Has he been spending too much time around Grandpa again?" Thomas said as the small blonde baby babbled and scrambled around in his older half brothers arms.
"I mean probably?" GP said as Keats clambered onto her shoulders like she was a jungle gym and gripped her horns pulling and making her yelp in pain. They were always so tender!
"YO JANE! Are you just going to sit there or are you going to find our parents and actually have them look after their demon spawn?" Thomas demanded of his little sister. She purposefully leaned back, closed her eyes and put her pinkies in her ears. Lights began to shine past her eyelids and GP and Thomas glowered at her.
"I think she's..."
"She's watching a movie like the jerk she is. Ignore her and let's go unload these two on-" A crash came from the pantry and a triumphant whoop as Hekapoo kicked the door open and walked out with her struggling twins under her arms with a large feral grin on her red face.
"YES! Took me forever but I got you two!" The twins babbeled and struggled in their moms grip, trying to hold hands again but only managing to rub fingertips a few times.
"HA! I've figured out your little game you little rugrats! And you aren't grabbing hands again as long as I can help it!" She said smugly before plopping them down in their high chairs and pushing them four feet apart so that they couldn't grab hands and teleport again.
"OKAY! Where's the baby food!" Hekapoo said moving towards the fridge. She paused for a moment and glanced at the parchment paper before sighing and glancing at Thomas sadly.
"Thomas...really? I mean just really?" She said as he blushed and moved forwards to pocket the parchment.
"It's none of your business Hekapoo." He responded as he scooped it up and pocketed it.
"No but unfortunately being close from a diplomatic place with Tom's kingdom means that you trying to woo the crown princess and inheritor of the underworld means that I do have some business in it." Hekapoo said as she grabbed some strained oranges, some strained green beans and what looked like strained strain leavings.
"Business with what?" Jackie said walking in, she might have been up for a few hours but she looked exhausted, as if she had just rolled out of bed, she had no idea that being a member of royalty could be so time consuming and exhausting. Once you turned twenty you had to do all of these duties and things which just sucked. And she was going to be closer to forty then twenty soon.
"Romeo is trying to woo back his princess." Hekapoo said opening the jars of sauce and starting to spoon some into a bowl. The twins glanced at each other and stuck their tongues out crossing their eyes. The baby Keats and Glacier imitated them before the four youngest members of the family started to giggle at each other. Baby Keats snorted making GP glance at the small child in confusion.
"I have never heard a baby make that noise before. It's weird right?" She said trying to get some sort of confirmation from her family who were now distracted by her older brother. As usual.
"Typical," She grumbles before scooping up a piece of fruit from a dimension that never existed and chewing on it in irritation. Her siblings always got all of the attention and left her with absolutely nothing, except maybe an epic mess.
Gradually the remainder of the massive family all gathered in from around the castle, and the castle grounds, grabbed what they wanted and ate their breakfasts as Thomas attempted to ignore them all and focus on writing in his partchment.
"You could just let it go you know." Jaquelynn pointed out as she sat beside Stabby, she had a book held absentmindedly in one hand and her glasses dangling off of the tip of her nose, making her look even more like a librarian then usual.
"Yeah well who asked you?" Thomas snapped back. His younger sister shut her mouth tight and leaned back, burrowing her face back into her book.
"Young man don't be mean to your sister, we all know that you're going through something with your girlfriend but that doesn't mean-" Jackie began only to get cut off as he stood up and strode out of the room.
"God. Hormones. Teens are monsters." Janna said with a chuckle shaking her head in delight at the young mans abrupt exit. Marco sighed and shook his head.
"I thought the two of them had broken up?" Marco said in irritation as Star just shrugged. "This is like the fifth time that he's been this moody."
"Hey if you wanted a teen who was easy you should have had girls...Oh wait!" Star said snorting at her own joke and slapping the table before shaking her head. "But yeah in all seriousness I think that you need to have a long in depth talk with your son before he does something that he regrets. Maybe not before the party but soon you know?"
"Are we really going to another freaking party? Remember what happened last year." Marco said as he grabbed a piece of fruit and then frowned. It had just disappeared from his hand, he really hated it when Hekapoo stole food from unstable dimensions, they never lasted long and had a really bad habit of just going poof on you at any given moment.
"This is going to be different. We're handing out candy at your parents house and having just a few people over. Besides it's been a while since the kids have seen their aunts." Star says matter of factly.
"Still so weird that your parents had triplets around the same time that we had kids right? I feel like we should call them something else. Like cousins or something. Aunts don't really act that way around their nieces and nephews." Jackie pointed out before gasping as a pair of small pale hands appeared over her eyes. She just grinned and patted them.
"Yes yes that's very good. You are very clever at teleporting." She said to one of the twins before Hekapoo yelped and dived across the table.
"They're going for your plate!" She growled before swearing as the two little gremlin like creatures poofed into yet another dimension.
"This is going to take all day." Hekapoo growls before opening a portal at random and jumping in after them.
"Do you think she will catch the two of them in time for the party?" Star asked as she picked up Jackie's plate and moving it slightly to the side. A smaller portal had appeared beside her plate and Glossarycks small blue hand reached out trying to snatch the food off of it. Star and Jackie both frowned and swatted it away, causing him to shake his fist at them before pulling back.
"It never stops in this family. Why doesn't it ever seem to stop?" GP said to Jaquelynn who looked at her older sister with a shocked and slightly hurt expression on her face.
"Just get ready for tonight. Your grandparents are looking forward to seeing all of you. And I'm just looking forwards to going to a party where we don't have to worry about any of you." Marco said as he stood up and picked up the baby Keats and Glacier and leaving the room. Everyone slowly left the room, leaving it looking like a whirlwind had swarmed through it.
GP sat at the table and sighed it never seemed to really end. There was just more and more stupid stuff every single day. She stood up and sighed before stretching, cracking her neck and opening a portal and stepping through into her bedroom.
Where a tall lanky teenager wearing a really gross old hat was chilling on her bed with a teen magazine over their face. They looked up, all big sneaky androgynous eyes.
"Okay, now before you freak out-" They began only to be cut off when she flew across the room and kicked them right in the face with her heel. GP landed breathing heavily, her fangs had bitten through her calloused lip, she often bit through the skin there but it just grew back tougher. She paused and blinked in amazement as realization slowly set in.
"Oh no. Oh man...Oh...This is going to be stupid I can just tell." She said staring down at the knocked out person as they snorted on her carpet. She glances around and quickly tosses open her closet. She pulls out a small purse, and starts rooting through it.
She tosses out some pieces of cereal, a large joint that not even her siblings know about. If Thomas had found out about it then she would be in so so so much trouble. And if her parents found out about it? She would be Dead. She finally holds up what she was looking for triumphantly and aimed the marble carefully.
She tossed it downwards and it slapped and bounced against the strangers forehead before he poofed away in a puff of smoke. She sighs and picks it up. The stranger was swirling around in there. She would interogate them later. Or tell her parents later, she wasn't sure which.
After all she had never met a teenage assassin before, and you would have to be a real piece of shit to even use a teenage assassin. All of those dumb YA books that Jaquelynn read nonwithstanding.
"YO! GP! You ready? They want us there early!" Jane shouted slamming her fist against her sister's bedroom door. GP put the marble back in her purse along with her joint. After all if she was going to go hang out with her family she might as well be high right? Plus she was half demon so CBD didn't even affect her as much as normal people.
"YEAH YEAH! I'm ready!" She shouts as she exits her bedroom with a snort.
"Yeah. Hell yeah. We still got it kiddo." Star said wrapping her arm around Sol's shoulders and squeezing her in delight as the two gazed up at the house that was totally decked out in Halloween decorations from top to bottom. Witches and skeletons were slowly moving around being propelled by small balls of magic that Star had summoned up.
"Isn't this sort of insulting though? I mean you're sort of a witch right? With magic and-" Sol pointed out only to have Star pass her a piece of candy and effectively distract her for the next five minutes as she tried to get it out of it's little wrapper prison.
"Good girl." Star said rubbing her daughter's head. After all it was smart to question everything. Even if it did turn you into an irritating little nudge half the time.
"Ah! Star! It all looks so wonderful!" Angie Diaz said as she came outside to give one of her many daughter in laws a hug and stare in amazement at the large scale operation that Star and Sol had managed to complete in just a few hours. She whistled as she gazed at the added on castle parts that were shooting out of weird jaunty angles from her house.
"Is that safe? I mean for the foundation and everything?" Angie asked as Star just chuckled and patted the slightly shorter older woman on the head.
"Not at all. Now lets get this halloween party started!" Star said as she ushered the two into the house. Most of the guests had arrived already. Members of every persons family, close friends, and a few neighbors.
"So Tom. Think that you'll ever have any more kids?" Rafael asked as casually as the man could. Tom coughed into his drink and slapped his chest trying not to choke on it.
"Dad! Dude you okay?" Marco asked turning between his friend and his father who merely chuckled.
"What? Can't a man be curious about his sons close friends and their personal lives?" Rafael said with a good natured nudge to Tom's ribs. Tom took a deep breath, reminded himself that royalty doesn't melt their inferiors in this dimension and shook his head.
"No. Trust me. One is more then enough. For me and for Brittany. We are totally content with Veronica. What about you? I mean clearly you Diaz guys have something going on with big families. I mean...Triplets? That isn't exactly the normal." Tom pointed out. Rafael tossed his head back and gave a deep booming laugh.
"Oh! I am definitely too old for more children! Or grandchildren for that matter...But you never know isn't that right Marco?" Rafael said as he turned his nudging to his son.
Now it was Marco's turn to nearly spit out his drink and choke at the same time.
"Dad I promise you there is no way that I want to go through any of that again." He said pointing towards the infants running around everyones feet, tripping, grabbing something off of the floor, sticking it in their mouth, taking it out and then putting it back in. Before getting bored and instead wrestling across the floor like mad little gremlins.
"So what, you draw the line at around ten? Good to know." Tom chuckles as Marco sighs heavily and grips the guys shoulders.
"I have not had a solid night of sleep in years. I sometimes think that I am going nuts. I should have gotten a vasectomy after the first batch." He chuckles to show that he wasn't being serious and the other two men continued to laugh loudly.
"Sounds like a real party over there." Kelly said to Brittany and Jackie. The three women had finished scattering candy across the lawn again. They didn't want to interrupt the party for trick or treaters so they had just left a bunch of bowls for them all across the lawn. Which was a stupid idea since the kids would then just take two or three dozen and the bowls would need to be refilled.
"Marco doesn't see his Dad as much as he should. So they get into weird conversations and probably drink too much." Jackie said waving it off. She then paused and glanced upwards where a couple talked. Or argued, it was hard to tell from that distance. But it was clearly Thomas and Veronica, both were wearing very similar outfits, something from a comic book.
Jackie glanced at Brittany with an apologetic smile.
"I know that it probably doesn't mean a lot coming from the guys mom but we had a super long talk and it means a lot that you are even willing to be in the same place as him."
Brittany glanced Jackie up and down critically before scoffing.
"I taught my daughter that if he gets cute again then she can just cut off his hand. Hope that's fair." Jackie felt her temper start to flare, clenched her teeth and counted backwards from ten. After all Thomas had grabbed Veronica's tail and that...well that was just not acceptable behavior.
But neither was threatening her son...
"Okay, promise you guys won't freak." GP said as she started to root through her purse. The triplets were sitting around their older niece with wide excited eyes. Each one was dressed up as a witch. Rita had on green face paint, Angela lacy butterfly wings and Em had a hat sitting at a jaunty angle on her head.
"If it's a joint don't worry we've all totally smoked before." Angela said with a smirk only to wince when Rita punched her in the arm.
"Don't hit." Em warned before GP rolled her eyes.
"Look it was between you three and Stabby/Jaquelynn but I couldn't find them so be grateful that it was you." She said with a flourish before producing the marble.
"Okay, got your hammers? Be prepared to start smashing if he comes out swinging." GP warned as they all slowly raised the hammers they had stolen from the garage.
"Please. Veronica. I just wanted to say..." He was cut off as she held up a single super perfect finger. Glowering at him through her contact lenses.
"Don't because I don't want to hear it. We are still not cool. And just because I let you drag me up here because I still have weird complicated messy feelings for you doesn't mean-"
She was cut off by a baby crying from downstairs. She paused and glanced over the side of the small stone railing. The tower that Star had created was pretty rickety and probably not safe for people to be standing on. Like at all. But it was also totally private.
"Keats?" Thomas said joining her. The entire house shook, the tower tilted. And the couple yelped as they fell over the railing, the ground rushing up to meet them.
The baby Keats paused in their crawling. Sat up straight, their eyes wide, and let out a deep belly aching sob as they began to rub at their eyes.
Meanwhile upstairs a young person sat up rubbing their head in pain. Gasped and reached for the hat that had fallen on the floor, quickly shoving it back on.
"Ah. That's better." They said before glancing between the four girls who sat in front of them with wide shocked eyes.
"Still haven't figured out who I am yet huh?" They said with a familiar smirk, and a twinkle in their eyes. GP finally got it. It was the hat. The hat and the smirk together.
"Keats? Teenage Keats?" She said before blinking and rubbing her eyes in disbelief.
"I mean...You know time travel is possible." Rita pointed out unhelpfully as the Teenage Keats stood up, dusted off their fanny and grinned.
"Hey sis. Aunties." They said before giving finger guns to all four.
"I...I...I...Oh man...What goes wrong?" GP says in amazement. At that very moment a small red portal appeared. The twins came sprinting out giggling while Hekapoo flung herself after them with a snarl.
"Almost...Got...And...fuck...Fuck these childbearing hips of mine!" She yowls as she squirms, stuck in the small portal. She paws for her two children who only giggle and stick their tongues out at their mother before running back towards the front door.
"NO! NO! YOU TWO GET BACK HERE!" She shouted at the top of her lungs. She struggled to free an arm that was snagged between the portal and her butt, unfortunately it was the one with the scissors. The twins got to the door, pulled it open and sprinted out the door. They apparently could only make one portal at a time. And if Hekapoo was holding one open then they couldn't do diddly squat besides run.
"What?! Aren't one of you going to...that's an older Keats. What's going on." Hekapoo said as she glances between the five people in the room.
"Oh you know how it is. Sorry. Can't stick around, timelines to keep on existing, people to see, candy to be had. See you later." And with that Keats stepped over GP, and snuck out the door that the twins had left wide open for quite the dramatic exit.
"That's Keats. Why was that Keats? Where are they going?" Em asked in confusion as GP shot out of the room after her big kid brother.
"Wait...girls!" Hekapoo yelled after them as they all sprinted out after the teenager. Hekapoo struggled a little before sighing and banging her head against the floorboards.
"This is so fucking stupid." She grumbles as she kept on trying to find a way to get out of the stupid portal.
Veronica opened her eyes then crunched them closed the moment that she looked down.
"How far up are we." She asked Thomas, her face pressed against his chest. Somehow, in some inexplicable way they had fallen maybe ten feet before catching themselves on the side of the tower. Thomas had his hands shoved into a couple of cracks, she was standing on tip toe on a small ledge, and had her hand wrapped around his shirt. They were in a dangerous balancing act where they were holding each other up.
"If I had to guess maybe fifty feet." Thomas said gulping as he looked straight up. "Maybe higher because Star has zero self control." He sighed through his nose and licked his lips. "I have an idea but we will need to work together on this. Can we do that?"
"What's the alternative? Falling and going splat?" She responded cooly. Thomas nodded. They discussed it a bit more, she complained, he snapped, she threatened to let go. And finally Thomas took a deep breath and doubled his grip on the small cracks in the tower wall. Veronica stood on tip toe and then started clambering up him. She stopped when they were face to face, gripped his shirt tighter, planted her feet on the wall and boosted him upwards.
Thomas's hands scrambled for a purchase and he breathed a sigh of relief when he found another chunk of wall to grab.
"Great! We're a foot higher now! Now we just have to...well..." He was cut off as she quickly clambered up, found another toe hold and gripped his shoulders. Her skin seemed to be glowing slightly. Her eyes closed in concentration, tapping into her demon side. Her tail swished back and forth before plunging into the stone tower to give an additional bit of traction.
"I guess we keep on climbing then?" Thomas asked nervously.
"We don't have to talk while doing this. We just need to climb." She said icily. Thomas was quiet after that. Until he heard a candy wrapped fall beside him. Both paused and glanced upwards to see Sol, Stabby and Jaquelynn glancing over the side of the railing and passing a large bowl of candy from one to the other.
"You three aren't even thinking of going to get help?" Thomas growled as his three sisters just shrugged.
"You two seem to be doing alright so far." Stabby pointed out, her vampire fangs were sitting beside her on the stone work as she pulled out another piece of candy and chewed it up.
"You three are just...seriously the worst." Thomas grumbles before pulling himself upwards. Veronica was now blushing as she clambered up her sort of ex boyfriend. It was weird to climb up him with an audience now.
"Don't worry if it gets too intense we will just go and get someone. You don't need to worry." Sol said as she took another piece of candy and dropped the wrapper past his head.
A young person quickly walked past the trio wearing a familiar but super ratty old hat and paused for a second.
"You three seen Keats around lately? Baby sized? Super troublesome?"
"Trying to break into the cupboard with the twins and Glacier. I think someone hid Candy in there. We took this from all of the bowls outside. No idea why they don't just get that candy." Sol said as the young person gave finger guns and strode off.
"That...that looked like Keats right?" Jaquelynn said in surprise before yelping as her aunts rushed past. GP flying right after them, jumping from wall to floor to the wall again with a snarl on her face.
"Is this really any of our bussiness though?" Stabby asked as she turned back down.
"So you are more interested in the two of them spooning on the side of a building then whatever strange slightly magical violence might be happening with them?" Jaquelynn said in amazement. Stabby just smirked and winked. Jaquelynn threw up her hands and turned back to Veronica and Thomas, she had to admit it was pretty fun to watch the two of them struggle up the side of a brick wall.
"Where did he go? Spread out and find Keats!" GP snapped at her aunts as they landed in the main living room, ducking and dodging between the other guests as they rapidly searched the area for the teenage Keats.
GP didn't wait for a response or an answer from the triplets and instead just rushed around. Dodging questions, avoiding family members, strictly interested in finding Keats and learning why they had just time travelled, it had to be important right? Right?
She bypassed her Dad who was talking sports with Kelly and Tom. Ducked around Jackie who was in some sort of argument with Queen Brittany of the underworld. And avoided a hug from Angie. It was way too important to be distracted by dumb family drama right now!
Then she came to a skidding halt in the kitchen. It was relatively empty compared to the rest of the house. Except for the four little kids seated on the floor around a large bowl of candy. And with Keats facing them with a wallet.
"Okay okay. How about two hundred dollars? I just really really need that bowl. Come on. Be a pal." Teenage Keats cooed to the children. They all exchanged little glances. GP still wasn't entirely sure just how much those four were able to communicate, they seemed to be able to talk to each other perfectly fine.
"Found you!" GP shouted triumphantly only for all five of them to hold up a hand towards her to shush her.
"Shush, we're in the middle of a very important negotiating meeting." Teenage Keats said as they took out a piece of colorful paper. "Okay how about this. You get this paper, my wallet and all of it's contents and three pieces of candy. Each. We're not going to get a better deal then that."
The small children turned to each other, made weird facial expressions and then finally the baby Keats burbled a bubble out.
"GREAT! Deal made! no backsies!" The teenage Keats crowed before diving and grabbing the bowl and leaving the rest. The teenage Keats did an excited jig around the kitchen, clicking their heels and even jumping up and down a few times. They only stopped when they noticed GP's flummoxed expression.
"Okay, now that that's out of the way let me explain."
"What just happened?" GP says in confusion only to be cut off by a bright flash of light. She covered her eyes, and when she removed them they nearly fell out of her sockets. Standing before her were two twins with bright red hair. A boy and a girl. They had on matching yellow and red striped sweaters, and small flames dancing in their hair.
"I don't think-" One said
"That would be a good idea." The other finished.
"The twins?" GP said in amazement who both brought their fingers to their lips, their fingernails were painted with actual fire. Which reflected the one in their hair.
"Aw come on. She brought me right here guys, it really isn't fair to-"
"Life isn't fair." A gruff voice grumbled out. Stepping from the large red portal that the teenage twins had concocted was a tall muscular blonde man, shirtless and rippling with muscles. He was nearly seven feet tall and had knives adorning his belt.
"GLACIER?! DUDES! What's going on! Why are you all here?! Why would you-" She was cut off as Keats skipped forwards and shoved a piece of candy into her mouth.
"Sorry sis. We would explain if we could. But we can't so we won't! Just remember that we did this because-"Keats was cut off, their eyes turned towards the doorway. Their jaw goes slack. GP turns around and sees Janna and Marco standing their with shocked looks on their faces. Teenage Glacier and the teenage twins quickly rush forwards and grab their sibling.
"Sorry Keats! We've got to go!" Glacier shouts before smiling at Marco. "Nice to see you Dad. Look out for Thomas, he's going to fall from the tower in a couple of minutes."
"Also mom is stuck in a portal." The twins said as Keats kept their eyes trapped on Janna who glanced at the hat, then the face, then the bowl of candy and then back towards the baby keats. Realization sets in quickly.
"Weird time travel shennanigans. It wouldn't be Halloween without something weird happening. Last year was scary, this year it's weird. Makes sense. Don't agree with it, but it is what it is." She says with a smirk. GP blinks before glancing at Janna.
"What do you mean last year was scary?"
"Hey one of your kids was binge drinking. What's scarier then that?" Janna pointed out before nodding to her time travelling teenager. "Unless you brought me winning lotto tickets I think you better get lost kiddo."
"Nice seeing you too mom." Teenage Keats said retreating back into the portal with a smile and a nod of their head.
"What just happened?! What was the point of any of this?!" GP shouts at the top of her lungs and pulls at her hair in frustration. "GOB! This family is so weird!"
"And you're stuck with us. That's the true horror." Janna said rubbing the girls hair and horns obnoxiously.
"Wait...Thomas is going to fall from where?!" Marco said sprinting out the back door. There was a yelp, and then a crunch. GP glanced out the window and raised an impressed eyebrow. Marco had managed to catch Thomas, who was cradeling a blushing Veronica.
The strangest thing though was the strange rainbow braid wrapped around Thomas's waist that went upwards and eventually issued from Sol's hands.
"No way." Sol said with wide amazed eyes, she felt it, magic. It was still there.
"Why were they even here though? Why did they even..." GP said before rubbing her forehead. "I am so confused."
"Look when weird stuff happens just blame it on Halloween and move on. That's what I do." Janna said as she pushed the girl towards the party again. "If you need to talk I'm here though."
"Hello? Yo? Any of you going to be coming back to help me or what?" Hekapoo complained from where she was stuck before sighing. "God this fucking family."
"You don't think we went too far?" Glacier asked as he sat back in his specially made easy chair. Most chairs couldn't take his bulk.
"It went fine Glacier." The boy twin said as he dug through the bowl of candy before dumping it aside. "Here." He tossed it to The Teenage Keats who delicately put it into a box.
"Be careful with that! This is the bowl that Grandma Angie lost fifteen years ago at a Halloween party!"
"We stole it fifteen years ago. If you want to get technical about it." The girl twin said as she opened a small portal and pulled out a box of sugary cereal. She had inherited her mom sweet tooth.
"True. But she doesn't need to know that." The teenage Keats said with a large smile. "Plus its the perfect Halloween gift. A treat, that was a trick fifteen years ago!"
"I don't know it's pretty elaborate even for one of your bad jokes." The girl twin said as The teenage Keats shrugged in response.
"Ah well. We had better get ready. We're bringing Thomas's and Veronica's kids trick or treating this year right?" Glacier said as he got back up.
"We do every year." The boy twin said as he held hands with his twin and the two opened a portal to the demon dimension.
"Gob I love this family." Keats said with a smirk as the four of them left the small pocket dimension that they had created as a make shift club house and left to see their family for the annual family Halloween party.
Review. This and my other stuff. Faster/more reviews mean faster/more updates Was initially planning for this to be a bunch of chapters but got bored half way through so it became a large one shot. Might add more chapters. Or not. Review.
