Chapter 10: (12 weeks)
The wind blew the leaves of the trees gently, swaying the branches in the direction the wind asked it to go. The birds flew above in the sky, and only a few clouds were hiding in the sky. The yellow colour of the sand touched the green of the grass, connecting the beach to the land and bush behind it. Infront of them, was a little beach cabin. Three bedrooms. Four beds in the two of the rooms, the last room could fit two people while it had only two bathrooms. It was only an hour drive from where Usagi and Mamoru had stayed for their honeymoon; otherwise from the Juban district, it was a miserable three-hour drive for everyone else.
Usagi and Mamoru sat in a car, Mamoru driving as usagi whined because she was tired, and that morning she was sick. Both their hands were intertwined on the gearstick, both adorning wedding rings. "I'm tired" Usagi sighed after a while, staring out the window. Mamoru laughed.
"Sleep then…You've been up since four this morning" he says as he squeezes her hand on the gearstick. She sighs, rubbing her nose bridge with her free hand. she opens her mouth to speak, but he cuts her off. "Sleep…You'll need the energy for later" he says. She nods before resting her head against the window. Her soft breaths could be heard minutes later.
Mamoru kept driving towards the beach spot they were staying at, the music off so his wife could sleep peacefully…wife… he still couldn't wrap his head around it all. His Usako wanted to keep him for as long as she wanted. He smiled at his thought.
It was another half an hour until they arrived. Mamoru parked the car next to Minako's, before shutting off the ignition. He turns to usagi, seeing her slumped up body against the car window. He grins as he taps her shoulder. She doesn't move. He laughs loudly, stepping out the car and walking towards the side Usagi was on. He was aware of his audience as he moved, but he didn't care. Carefully and quickly, he opened the door of the car. Opening his arms immediately to catch his wife. She woke up immediately, a smile on her face once she registered her surroundings. "Welcome back. How was your sleep?" he asks in a laugh. She smiles at him sleepily.
"Good. I don't feel as tired anymore" she sighs as she jumps from his arms, her shoes touching the ground. She hugs him gently, her arm glued against his back, holding his waist against her. She hums as she buries her face in his chest.
"Usako" Mamoru laughs. "I need to get the bags" she blushes as she lets go of him, following him to the back of the car. She takes one of her bags, mamoru carrying one of his and another one of hers in his arms before they close the boot of the car. Usagi turned to the girls without knowing they were there, startling her. She curses loudly, holding her hand to her heart.
"Hey Usagi" Minako says, a grin plastered on her face. "Sorry to brake it to you…but your going to have to get out of honeymoon mode, because it's over now" Minako smirks at her comment, meanwhile Usagi blushes.
Mamoru walks ahead towards the cabin, greeting his friends before gesturing everyone to follow them. The cabin was modern, as well as giving off a beach vibe. At the bottom floor, there was a living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry and the two-person bedroom. Mamoru starts to walk into the bedroom, only being turned around by Kunzite. "Nope" he says. "You're upstairs with the rest of us. And your wife" he twists the word. "Is with the girls. She might need some sleep after the past two weeks" he snickers at his joke.
"Poor Usagi" Minako giggles. "You wore her out too much. Didn't you hear her snoring on the way up here?" she didn't notice Usagi behind her, her eyes watering slightly. Mamoru did though, and he glared at her.
"Minako…Don't" he growled under his breath as he took Usagi in his arms. Usagi went into his arms, wiping her eyes on his chest. They were guided up the stairs and stopped outside the doorway.
"The girls are on the right; the boys are on the left" Ami says as she walks out of the room with a small smile on her face. Usagi looks up at Mamoru, her eyes still watering. Mamoru frowns.
"Why can't I stay with my wife? We're married, and there's a spare bedroom" Mamoru argues. "She's pregnant. We're having a baby and I need to be with her now more than ever"
"Mamoru, we're only here for three days at the least. I'm sure you can live mate" Kunzite says, clapping Mamoru on the shoulder. Mamoru sighs, giving up before Minako even spoke.
"Plus we really want to have some girl time with Usagi-chan" Minako says with a frown. He turns to Usagi.
"I'll come put your bags in your room" Mamoru says, his eyes longing to stay with her. Usagi nods and walks inside.
Across the back wall was a collection of five single beds. The first one had clothes thrown all over it. She sighed as she looked at it, knowing who's bed that was. Minako's. she turned her eyes away from the scanty bikinis and turned to the second and third bed, holding Makoto and Rei. The forth bed had clothes folded neatly on them…Ami. The fifth was empty, and It was against the window which held the entrance to the balcony, connecting both rooms by the outside. Usagi sighed and placed her bag down next to the bed, Mamoru placing her other one down next to it. Usagi turned around and followed mamoru out the room and into the boy's room. Much to her surprise, the boy's room was like Minako's bed, apart from two beds. One was zoisites and one was Mamoru's, by the window. Usagi contained her inner thoughts by this new fact.
The girls drag Usagi back to their room. Minako snatching a pillow from a bed with a grin. Usagi flinched when she saw it, grabbing her own in a defence. Unsurprised, Usagi watched Minako hit Ami with a pillow, knocking her book out her hand. Ami cursed, snatching her own and hitting her back, missing and only to hit Rei. Rei grumbled as she attacked back, missing again and hitting Makoto.
The chaos reined supreme in the girl's room. For several hours before the girls got tired and went to sleep.
