Chapter 11: Continued…

Everything was peaceful. The waves were barely existent. The sun was hiding behind the earth. The moon was shining in the sky, reflecting light onto earth. Everything seemed peaceful.

All except the dreams of one Chiba Usagi. There was sweat running down her forehead as she tumbled around in her bed, tangling up the sheets along with her. Suddenly she sat up, gasping for the oxygen that she needed, clutching her abdomen gently.

She tried to control her breathing and tried miserably to control her thoughts. She couldn't help the images flowing back into her mind all over again.

She didn't realise she was starting to cry, until she tasted the salty tears running down her cheek before landing into her mouth. She opened the door gently to the balcony, feeling the cold wind on her bare skin, blowing her small shirt against her abdomen.

She sits down and leans against the wall connecting the two rooms together. Her tears spring free from her eyes, and choked sobs come out her mouth every time she takes in a breath. She didn't realise that she was starting freeze.

The glass door opened quietly to her right, but she ignored it. The person would surely go back to bed. She continued crying, images flooding back to her all over again and again. She couldn't bare it. A hand touched her shoulder, and she turned to the hand, seeing Mamoru squatted down on his knees, his frown prominent even in the dark. She frowned. "Why are you awake?" She asks him gently, in a whisper which shook her breath. He smiled sadly.

"I couldn't sleep. It felt weird not having you beside me. And I heard the door open, and I thought someone had left their room…" he whispers, wiping her tears of her cheek. She shakes her head.

"Go back to sleep Mamo"

"No"

"I'm fine. Just go back to sleep" she whispers. Suddenly, her body was lifted off the ground and she was laying in her husband's arms. She gasps, holding her heart from shock. He smiles at her gently.

"Do you want to stay with me tonight?" he asks her. He watches her nod before taking her inside the boy's room. Gently, he placed her on his bed and curled around her. It was a small bed, so it wasn't exactly made to fit two people, let alone one. He watches her turn on her side to face him. "Are you going to tell me what's wrong?" he asked her. She sighed and nodded, tears springing to her eyes.

"I had a bad dream" she whispers. She looks up at him, expecting him to laugh as expected, but he didn't; he just sat there.

"About" he prompted. He was eager to hear it. He wanted to hear how bad it was, compared to the last couple of dreams.

"About losing you…and our baby…and my Mama and Papa" she whispers, tears streaming down her face. "I watched you die…someone murdered you and then they murdered the baby…then" she was throwing it out, choking on her words. "Then they kidnapped Mama and Papa and then they…they murdered them" she was crying, and once Mamoru knew she was done, he wiped her tears back again.

"Shh" he silences her before kissing her gently. "Can you try and sleep?" he asks her as he cradles her in his arms. She does respond.

"It felt so real…" she whispers, her voice breaking apart into pieces. Mamoru frowns gently.

"It's normal through pregnancy" he says gently. She sighs as she turns over on her side, her back to him. "Now try to sleep please" he says. She nods as she lays down on the bed, before his arms wrapped around her body. She whispered something under her breath before she fell asleep. Mamoru smiled and whispered back to her.

Kunzite stood in the corner of the door, watching his best friend and his wife talking to each other about a dream she woke up from a dream. He frowned, realising their mistake. They should never have separated them from each other in the first place. It didn't help when they didn't know much about pregnancy, but Minako had been so energised to be able to spend time with one of her best friends that she had hurt her in the process. Kunzite sighed as he walked over to his bed. Then he too, fell asleep.

The sun rose gently from the surface of the waves, spewing in a wave of sunlight through the open windows. The boys woke up in the room, snickering at the sight of Usagi and Mamoru managing to sleep in the same bed together. Kunzite told them to stop, he didn't want to upset Usagi anymore than she was, knowing that she would get upset over anything. They noticed Mamoru was awake, his eyes weren't open, but his hand was tracing patterns gently over Usagi's arm. Kunzite poked him gently, his eyes flew open immediately. "We're heading down for breakfast; we'll leave some for you and Usagi" he says. Mamoru nods gently, trying not to disturb Usagi next to him.

"Sure thing. I'll meet you on the beach…" he thought about it for a while. He answered his own question out loud. "Or after lunch. Most likely. It's the normal time she wakes up after a nightmare…" he trails off.

"We honestly thought you'd slept with her last night…"Nephrite laughs. "But we didn't really hear anything like that last night, and I was knocked out like a fly" he says with a laugh. Mamoru glares at him and he raises his arms above his head. "I won't say anything I promise, not around her anyway" He leaves with his arms above his head.

"Go and Sleep" Kunzite says and Mamoru nods, closing his eyes and laying back against the pillows. Kunzite waits for Minako wake by their door, and when she steps out, he taps her on the shoulder. Her face is panicked as she looks at him. "If you're looking for Usagi, we found her" Kunzite says. Her stressed posture goes down into something more relaxed looking. Kunzite opened the door to the room and showed Minako the scene in front of her.

Usagi was curled up beside Mamoru on the bed, taking up more than half the bed. Mamoru was around Usagi, holding her onto the bed in an embrace. Kunzite took Minako's arm before she did something she'd regret. "Usagi woke from a nightmare last night. He found her outside and he let her sleep with him." Kunzite explains. Minako nods, not being surprised by what had happened. "Don't wake her. She'll need the rest anyway" he says before he tugs her to leave. She closes the door. "I'm surprised" Kunzite comments at her control, and lack of shock. "Not shocked or anything?" he asks. Minako shakes her head.

"She called us twice in one week on their honeymoon. She was crying, asked us to tell her if her parents were still alive or not. She asked if everyone else was alive." Minako shrugs. "Pregnant women are meant to experience it around the third trimester. But it's weird, because normally they're about the baby. Maybe later on she'll go into that phase, plus her body is going through a major change right now, and it will be for the next six months." She sighs. "But she's got Mamoru, a doctor and she's also got Ami, a nurse. She'll never be in such good hands as she is now. I guess all we can do it watch and help when we can" Minako shrugs. "Pancakes?" She asks him with a smile. He laughs.

"You read my mind." Kunzite laughed as they walked down the stairs.

Usagi woke up with the sun blaring on her face gently. She cringed when she saw how bright it was, before remembering the previous night's events. She froze, and Mamoru had seemed to sense it immediately. "Usako?" he asked as he rolled her onto his front, so that she was on her stomach facing him. She starts to wiggle frantically out of his grasp, her breath rapidly increasing in speed as her eyes flew around the room in a panic. "Usako calm down they're alive." He begs her in a panic. "Please stop Usako. I don't want to hurt you. You can call them alright?" he begs, stressed. His words calm her down slightly, and she stops struggling her way out of him. She eyes fly towards his phone on the bedside table. He sighed and gave it to her and he watched her, in a panic, open the phone and dial the number she needed. It rang, before a voice filled the speaker.

"Mamoru?" Ikuko's voice comes through.

"Mama" Usagi breathes. "Are you alright? Is Papa alright?" she asks in a panic.

"Of Course, he is. We're both fine why?" Ikuko asks, worried about her daughter now.

"You're alive" She whispers gently. "I thought you died" she whispers.

"Another bad dream Usagi?" Ikuko asks again, worried. "How many is that now? Two a week. Usagi are you alright?" she asks her.

"Yeah…I have no idea why they're so common now. They're so vivid and realistic…" She trails away.

"Usagi, can I speak to your husband please?" Ikuko asks gently. Usagi hums, and hands over the phone to him.

"Hi Ikuko" he murmurs. "I hope they fade away soon…Ikuko, I don't want you to overreact, and to not tell another soul this but…yes I know why this is happening…Ikuko. Usako's pregnant…No you can't tell him. We'll extend our trip for as long as we can before we come back to Tokyo" Mamoru says, looking at Usagi. "Alright. I'll talk to you soon… Alright. Bye" He frowns as he puts down the phone.

"You told on me to Mama" she accuses him.

"I told her nothing you weren't going to tell her at one point anyway. She won't tell your father though. Not until we get back which means if everyone goes back, we'll be able to have a second honeymoon" he says, raising his eyebrows. He slides her off him gently, making her sit on his bed as he gets dressed. He pulls on a pair of swim shorts, leaving his chest bare before closing his suitcase back up. Usagi smiles as she drags him to her room.

"What about this bikini?" she asks him, pulling put the most revealing pair. He growls and pulls out a more coving pair. She giggles when she sees his reaction, pulling on a pair he had shown her with a smile. They walk hand in hand down the stairs carefully before exiting into the main porch to see Minako sunbathing on a chair while all the boys were in the water, jumping on each other. The girls were discussing who they liked out of each of them, but they stopped as soon as they saw Usagi and Mamoru.

"Hey…" Minako says before looking ahead of her. "You two can sleep in the spare bedroom if you want from now on" she says with understanding eyes. "I thought I could keep her away from you, but that just got be rebuked for it. I hope you can forgive me" Minako says as she looked directly into Usagi's eyes.

"Of course, I do. Nobody could have predicted what happened last night." Usagi says. She turns to Mamoru, a smile imprinted on her face. "Now why don't we go for a dip?" she asks with a smile. Mamoru laughs and holds out the bottle of sunscreen. She makes a face.

"You should see your face, it's priceless" he laughs teasingly. Usagi blushes and looks away. Mamoru helps Usagi rub in her sunscreen before she helps him in return. Then she drags him towards the water's edge, stopping at the wet sand. Suddenly mamoru picks her up into his arms, her squealing before he ran into the water. He throws her into deeper water, a scream coming out of her mouth before she landed in the water. He chuckles as he pulled her back above the water, watching her cough out the water she swallowed. She swam out to deeper sea, Mamoru following close behind. She stopped where she could stand, her face fallen.

"Usako?" he asks her gently as she takes her hand. "What's wrong?" he whispers.

"Mamo…do you ever wonder about the future?" she whispers.

"Of course. Why?" he asks her.

"What if I'm not a good mother. I can barely take care of Luna. How can I be a mother to a baby?" She whispers.

"Usako…You'll be a much better parent than I would be. You have a bright heart, and the child will have no-one more special." He whispers.

"But I can-" He silences her with another kiss, knowing how she'll react to it.

"Focus on the present" he whispers.

"Alright, I love you" she whispers.

"As I you" He whispers with a smile, pulling her deeper into the water.
