Nymphlopedia

Epilogue: Dryads

Beginning AN:

Alright! Finally! Happy anniversary of 1.2, the update that added the Nymphs, and also a happy 1.4 console release!

...Oh fuck the last chapter's bonus was supposed to also include the "origins" of the Nymphlopedia. Well, I went back and added that. Just in the slim chance that you read the previous chapter in the short time before I got this out.

Tania's eyes popped open.

"HURRY! GET UP!" A voice shouted at her. "The Jungle is under attack!"

She flawlessly slipped off of her sleeping branch, hand on her primitive staff, and she slid down to her shoe-clad feet to the grass below. All while figures quickly dashed past her.

"TANIA!" Another Dryad shouted. "They're here! It's them! An army of Nymphs! They breached the Surface!"

"What Variant?" Tania asked.

"It's... it's a whole mix of them! We've never seen it before!"

That got Tania on high alert. She ran after the rest of them.

They came to a cliff in the Jungle - an artificial 'border' between that and the neighboring Forest. And...

...It was a pretty massive army.

Oreads made up the bulk of them, naturally, almost all of them being armed with Diamond Staves. Behind the Oreads, very well-organized Nymphs from all the biomes, all around, all over. Warm ones together. Cool ones together. Pairs such as Acid/Base and Volt/Positron. So on and so forth.

Standing in the lead of them all was a particularly odd Oread. Pale blonde hair. Pale, sickly looking skin in her disguise. What looked to be a Tin Shortsword in her hands.

And she was wearing boots. What the fuck. The mere sight made Tania cringe, despite being fully clothed from the waist down herself. As with the other Dryads.

"Who- who are you?!" Tania asked.

"Lindsey." She replied. "A name you will remember. Because I'm the one who will dethrone the Dryad Queen."

All the Dryads in the area just stared at her.

And started laughing. Lindsey stayed looking stoic throughout.

"You should have already attacked me." She said, slowly growing a smirk as she held her hand out.

Her shortsword morphed, being coated in some dark, black-and-red haze. Lindsey flashed violet, then slashed with that 'sword.'

Most of the trees in front of her were bisected.

"Bow before the new Nymph Queen!" She cried.

An unnaturally dark red explosion came from the point that the trees were cut, pushing the various Dryads back.

"Minions. Fight." Lindsey said.

She turned her back to what would become carnage after that. Then her minions lept in to action, going after the blindsighted Dryads with a flurry of sword attacks on their own. All the while, Lindsey herself lept to the air, bringing herself deeper in to the Jungle. A few forcefields threatened to keep her away, but her blood red blade was able to cut through them. She was similarly threatened by combined effects of various Dryad Blessings... but her blade had an aura that counteracted with them.

As for Tania, she couldn't see just what Lindsey was doing. She was still on the front lines, fighting off with a - scared-looking - horde of Nymphs. Throwing any imaginable material from nature at her. Flames, gusts, stones, and liquids. The battle was a haze - the fight with the army was like any other to her, years on years of fending off invasions were hard to tell apart. Except something felt... different about their leader. That sword, carrying a power she was completely unfamiliar with.

The dust cleared. Fallen Dryads and fallen Nymphs of all Variants, scattered around. Some of the Nymphs were captured, but none dared to escape. Tania kept a hand on to her staff, taking in a deep breath. Trying to calm herself down. The Dryad defenses 'won' against that group on the edge, but barely.

"They've been breaching the surface more often now, huh?" A fellow Dryad ally asked Tania.

"Yes, but how?" She asked. "Some leaks, I can understand. But this is on a different level. Does anybody know what their leader is doing?"

"Tania. Team." Another one directed. "We'll move inwards."

"On it."

They tried to walk through, but were bombarded by more explosives, and a searing pain all around them. Almost as if... the very Blessings the Dryads were being used against them? It was the same burn of nature itself assaulting them.

The ground cracked and broke, sending all of them falling in the depths of the Jungle.

"THIS IS BIGGER THAN WE THOUGHT!" Shouted their squad leader. "WE HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE! ACTIVATE YOUR PROTECTORS!"

Tania tensed at the command. Having done that so rarely before, it was always a scare, and always meant that not just her life, but the Jungle if not all of nature herself was in danger. Tania, as with the other Dryads, pulled on the vine on their wrists in a very specific pattern, a tug, another after a pause, then two quickly, three quickly, then five, eight.

Their various vine and leaf clothing exploded around them, turning in to giant balls of plant mass at first. Growing, to the size of houses. Then to hot air balloons. Then, finally, mighty castles.

Standing in the destroyed ruins of that section of the Jungle was a set of massive plant monsters, each with a Dryad using the utmost full extent of her or his lifeforce to control them. Tania's roared, facing-

An onslaught of something that looked like rain at a glance, but was not normal rain by any stretch. It wasn't even acid rain. Even in as of the completion of the Nymphlopedia's first 102 entries in the 'present,' Tania wouldn't know for sure just yet. But it was something terrible. Corrosive. Blood red.

Lindsey went around with her strange sword, cutting up more of the vine-giants, effortlessly hacking them to piles without much effort, causing explosions. Tania couldn't see that much of the carnage - the unstable ground she was standing on cracked and shattered more, she was hit with a full force of the explosions, and felt like even in her giant state, she would fall. The vine giants were able to keep away the remains of the attacking Nymph army, but Lindsey still seemed untouchable.

And then. Lindsey just disappeared in a red flash. She left behind her mooks - which the foot soldiers and some of the giants made quick work of. Based on the Nymphs' stunned reactions, they were not planning for their commander to teleport away out of the blue.

Tania's plant mech in particular was reduced to just an elephant-sized ruined ball of vines, which sank through the holes in the broken Jungle, falling deep down, below. She considered that a blessing to some extent - she could not hold that form much longer, and could use the firm roof of the caves to keep her from the seering toxic blood rain. She landed in a part that was outside of the Jungle territory, yet still under the strange cloud of blood rain Lindsey created, as some of the liquid dribbled from above. It was eating through the stone at an alarming rate.

Tania ripped her vine-bracelet off, severing her link to her mass of vines, turning them in to its own pile seperate from her. No longer feeling their pain. Taking a few breaths, she punched her way out of them, surfacing. With her clothes having transformed to the mech, she was completely nude. Watching her hard work second, larger, stronger body being disintegrated right in front of her eyes.

Looking down, she saw a lone Nymph with pale blue hair in the caverns, scared out of her wits at the sight. She was in her true green-and-red-splotched form, shivering, a hand clung on to a half-eaten Armored Cavefish.

"G-great Dryad!" She shouted, shielding herself with her arms. "P-please! Don't hurt me! I was just taking a fish- I- I... might have gone too close to the Jungle! I'm sorry!"

"Were you part of that army that attacked the Jungle?" Tania asked. Cold. Direct.

"What?!" The Nymph tensed up. "What army, I don't know what you're talking about please I'm just a loner I've been alone my whole life all I'm doing is scavenging for any food I can find just trying to stay alive please don't kill me please don't kill me please, Great Dryad, DON'T KILL ME!"

Tania took her staff out. There she stood, atop the bloodied remains of her trump card, as the Nymph fell to her knees, tears pouring from her eyes.

TANIA! A voice roared in her memory. One of several, in fact, all saying the same thing. They were banished by the Worthy Masters for a reason!

The Surface is ours! The Caves are theirs!

They breach, you kill them! Kill them! KILL THEM!

If you don't kill them, they'll kill you!

They're monsters that lie! It's all lies!

DO IT!

But fuck those assholes.

Tania tapped the end of her staff on her vine-shell. She shut her eyes.

"I'm sorry." She said. "I've just been through an invasion. I don't know who survived and who perished."

Tania lept up, making the Nymph freeze in place once she landed next to her. The Dryad reached in to her hair, taking out a selection of seeds and a mango.

"This is all I have for now. I could give you more if you need it-"

"I'll be okay. Please, just you sparing my life is enough."

"Just... try to eat that which nature gives to you, not that which requires taking away from nature."

"O...kay? Sorry but down here it's a lot harder to get food growing on trees so... I can't keep any promisses."

"I know. I'll try to get back to you if you need anything else."

Tania drank a Recall Potion, taking herself out of there. Back to the ruined section of her Jungle. Gathering with the recovering other Dryads. The ones who were lucky.

The Nymph, still on her knees, just started laughing, mixed with sniffles. She clung on to the fruit she was given and held to it dearly.

"I'M STILL ALIVE!" She cheered. "TAKE THAT, NATURE!"

Dryads.

Once a populous race that watched over nature and man alike. After a disasterous war with a tyrant from another world, one known member remained, who continues her duty diligently. One of a kind, but not alone. She sells seeds, too!

Preferred Environment: Forests and Jungles.

Environment Threat Level: Forest: Calm.
Jungle: Extremely Severe.

Environment Stats: Forest: Average rainfall and temperature. Mundane. Common. Lands of grass and the occasional tree, the most common land biome on the surface layer. One particularly large forest making up Terraria's biggest continent housed an exceptionally huge tree, the ultimate central symbol of everything Terraria. For much of history, this continent was infected especially hard with the Corruption, but in recent times, this was taken care of.
Jungle: Heavily wet. Warm. Fantastic, even if it appears Mundane at first. Had been common long ago, but have gotten rarer throughout history. Large masses of trees in a tropical region, extending all the way to the Underworld deep underground. (Note from Sonata: Also home to some of the biggest fucking pieces of shit in the planet.)

Other Names: "Druids," "Tree Nymphs" (Please do not use this one, all Nymphs are "Tree Nymphs" to some extent), Flourished Nymphs, Surface Nymphs, Forest Nymphs, Jungle Nymphs, Sun Nymphs, Day Nymphs.

Affinity: Life.

Color: Vibrant green. Capable of shifting their skin to human tones, with less freedom than the Oreads.

Traditional Costume Weapon: Clothes. Actual clothes. Historically, most often this was in the form of garments fashioned based on what biome they were currently opperating in, usually their homes in the Jungles or Forests, so vines and leaves fashioned to outfits. Some go completely nude, akin to Oreads. The "median" is vines wrapped around their limbs and occasionally around their necks or waist. Usually, they have very little power drawn from the accessories, they typically are just used for vanity or as a symbol of their affiliation with the other Nymph types. The exceptions are the elites, who have over decades strengthened their ties with plant matter to transform their specialized garments in to massive plant beings acting as a second body for them.
...As for the Last Dryad, she is comfortable with only the bands of vines around her limbs, and only enhances their powers over plants and lifeforms as a whole loosely. Lately, she has been considering ditching those too.

Vince's Comment: Well... I mean, I'm the only one of this book's main three authors who wasn't born until after the genocide, so as you could probably guess, I only know about one. Tania. Tania started out as a... really weird and distant and stuck-up figure, but over time she's grown to be a valuable teammate. I'm sure as HELL not telling you anything about fighting them! There's only one I know about and she's a good friend, why would I dive in to combat notes this time? Also, Lindsey could be reading this - no, I know she is. Lindsey, fuck you, I'm not telling you how to beat Tania. And- you know what? You can't! She's unstoppable! WE'RE unstoppable! And you know what? I'm DONE hiding! I'm coming for your place!
LET'S! DO! THIS!
...
Tania said no. We need to prep a bit before even taking on her Key Holders. So, yeah, but yeah, take this as a THREAT! We're coming for your PLACE!

Sonata's Comment: Sorry if you're expecting a lot of information on all the Dryads that were wiped out a hundred years ago instead of learning even a teeny bit MORE on the ONE that you've already known a lot about but... yeah. Sorry, back when they were alive, I never really spoke to them. I was always just watching them from the sidelines. They were "enemies" back then. Tania was my first actual experience with one that wasn't just gunning after me and mindlessly trying to kill me. And even then, it started off rocky.
Oh, twice, I met her like some hundreds of years before the genocide. The only Dryad who would actually talk to me.
Look, Tania might seem like a gruff and ruff exposition hippie. She kind of is. Behind that, though, is someone worth talking to. Look past her as this ancient wise nature spirit, look past the whole "vine costume ooga hotta," and see that she's got a whole fun side to her that her, well, unique position in history kind of held her away from. Sorry, Tania's been kind of to herself - again for a good reason - and angsty but she doesn't have to be that way. I know she's a celebrity so the chances of you actually seeing her are next to nill but... I don't know. Maybe you can. Maybe you'll go on some journey of your own after Vince and I retire, and she'll be there to assist you, taking out any last bits of Corruption or Crimson or Hallow or Candyland that somehow came back in the world. If you do, don't panic like I did. And don't piss away your shots like I almost did. I was a total fucking asshole when we first met - for real not in the past - and I still feel shame looking back to that.
I.
Don't know.
I was rambling there. That was a mess.
I.
I love you. Tania.
There.
And not in the kinda 'horny horny ooga hotta' way, either. Like... you know... I can't even think of the right word to say.
Gah, confessing to someone I've already been close to for like a year in an encyclopedia, I'm sorry, what even am I doing with my fucking life.
...

Tania's Comment: Dryads.
Nymphae Arces.
...
This is it.
This is me.
Right. Dryads were Gaia's assigned watchers over what is classed as "life," as in those that are living. Our connections with the lifeforce on the surface are strong, and we have been speculated to be able to form connections across all of life on the world at once should the right procedure be made. Likewise, Oreads are theorized to link with all that is undead. The way this can be achieved, or if it is even possible, is currently unknown. We are often considered gods of the land, which I find to be vastly... well, it's not a good thing. We're not gods. I swear. Nowhere close. In fact, in many ways, Humans, Goblins, Dwarves... they're stronger than us. We're more of just a link to the trees around you, not some kind of fantastic deities that control all that is.
Historically, Dryads had lead the surface after the Great Moon Lord War resulted in all other Variants being banished to the caves. Since Cthulhu's attack left me as the only remaining Dryad, I was unable to keep the magic barrier maintained, not that I would want to keep it up regardless. The decision was something I had always strongly disagreed with, and my work on the Naked Empire is my way of making up for it. Sonata's desire was initially fueled by lust, but the more we worked on it, the more it became a genuine attempt to bridge gaps. I have also revoked the title of being the Dryad Monarch, despite being the only contender for it left, for a number of reasons.
With the Moon Lord's permanent defeat and the infertility curse lifted, the next generation of Dryads are upon us, as I already performed the spells needed to plant several seeds. Most of them are already adopted by Nymphs of all kinds, although some have been taken by other races. I considered returning to my tree form and resting until I am needed once more, but... Sonata had the right idea. She made a vow to only turn to her stone form to "see what it's like" or "remember what it's like" for a moment. I made friends with my opposite, and a member of the species in-between us. And I'd rather spend my time with them than being as a tree.
And Sonata. I love you.
I will finish off with this:
I, too, am a total bitch.
Don't fuck with me.
;)

Conclusion

We hope you enjoyed the read through the Nymphlopedia, First Edition. One hundred and two cultures, gone over, dissected, and with expert illustrations. More will definitely be to come - already we know of an additional nine hundred types, two hundred and fifty of which were... "befriended" by this enemy name Dave, and there's an extra ol' one-fifty we're still getting for the end. There might be more, too, because that last five hundred? They're a little... weird. Not like Disarray Nymph weird, more like... their "biomes" aren't... fully "biomes" if that makes sense? And there may be way more than five hundred cases like that. Who knows? We're reclusive, and we're assholes. Anyway, I think I - Sonata by the way in case it wasn't obvious from my wonderous writing style (sarcasm) (self-deprecation) - said enough. Vince, you wanna take it from here?

Um. Okay.

So this is Vince speaking until you see it say otherwise? I don't know what to say. I was kind of roped in to everything. It took me a long time before I could forgive Sonata for trying to eat me. And a long time before - you know, the history behind the Nymphs of all types is brutal. And... none of the other races have helped either. For the longest time I've just met, like, one friendly member of each race except Humans and that's it. Terraria is a death world, my main goal, if I'm being honest, isn't to flesh out relationships so much as it is to keep everybody alive. I'll definitely tell you all this: Don't do what I... well I didn't actually do it, but I wanted to do it, that is, going off on my own and unprepared to specifically find Nymphs. I mean, when I met Sonata, I did that looking for shelter. I wasn't actively seeking a Nymph out in fact quite the opposite. But I thought I'd do that later and... yeah, I think if I had met any other Oread besides her, I might not have been alive to write this book. Especially with most of them working under Lindsey. They wouldn't be nice to me at all. So... I guess I have to give thanks to Sonata for that? I'm out of things to say. Tania?

Our Special Thanks (Comment from Sonata: Oh fuck I knew I almost forgot something thanks for reminding us) include Iris, the first companion Vince and Sonata had made when they formed a duo and the owner of Open-Eyes Seaside Beauty Products; Dr. Madeline, a well-experienced medical expert who had discovered the way to halt Human aging in adult years - meaning Sonata and I no longer have to worry about outliving Vince, at least with natural causes - Mollie Bones, an active animal expert currently exploring the Purified Mainland as of this writing with her brother who helped write parts of this; Lexus, who... helped raise my spirits some times. Sophia, an engineer, part of the world's first Human-Goblin marraige, and the creator of various tools that have saved our lives countless times from the traps Cthulhu and his minions set up below; and Ada. Who, frankly, has done my own job better than I could. The Princess of our world also deserves thanks, but you already knew that.

Writing this has been a joy to me from beginning to end. I had lived for over five hundred years, yet it was this journey that I felt brought more change on me alone than the rest of my life put together. Positive change, that is. Going over the alliances we had made with one hundred biomes across the world really put it all together. The things Sonata and Vince had gone through. Their changes. My own changes, especially. The way that events could just happen to line up, to snowball in to major changes across history, I have witnessed the beginnings of such changes over the centuries. People who would have never became celebrities had they not spoken to the right person. Entire countries that would have never formed if it were not with finding that vein of iron in a stroke of luck. In our case, none of this would have happened had it not been for Vince happening to duck in that cave on the right day at the right time. And escaping Sonata's hunger. I do not want to imagine life going in any other direction from that point, because I would not have it any other way.

Sonata? Would you like to note a change you might find important? A nice way to bookend the story? I think you should be the one to write it. It only makes sense.

R-really Tania? Okay... I... um... I'll... do it...

RULE #2: DRYADS DO NOT WEAR CLOTHES. ANYMORE.

Closing AN:

DAY!

30!

That's it! We're done! (With this "First Edition," but I don't really have any major plans for any more big sections. I might do some bonuses soon, like bridging the "First" and "Second" Editions, but for now... I'm putting this on hold. I need a break.)

And yeah, that was the big "twist" with the Dryad story, the fact that it was set in the past! And it was way more fucked up and serious than the others. Probably the only chapter on here where people actually die. Depending on... well a lot of subjective factors. But yeah, some Nymphs on Lindsey's side, some of the defender Dryads... they definitely died in that fight.

Believe it or not it was going to be a little more fucked up. For today I was thinking about having Tania outright attack Sonata (yeah that was Sonata there, I really wanted to have her be name-dropped but I felt like that would be insulting the readers' intelligence... but I felt like the way I did that was an insult to intelligence anyway so... fuck), then just having the staff glow, but... yeah, considering how Sonata immediately surrendered, that wouldn't make much sense. So I just went the "safe" and "sappy" route, and yeah, I'm going with "Tania is the goodie two-shoes and helps out" instead of a more "OH SHIT" moment because I couldn't find a way to make that "OH SHIT" moment in-character or make sense.

"Wait what do you mean 'in-character' I mean Sonata wasn't acting like herself at all." Well. RTLD will explore that. Definitely.

Here it is, the final bonus.

Sonata still hadn't lifted from the desk after writing that final sentence, arms folded on it, head down on top of her arms, crying her damn eyes out.

Vince and Tania were both nervously behind her. Vince had his hand hovering around her back - not sure when or if to pat. Or where. Or how. Or... why.

"S-Sonata..." Tania finally spoke up. "It was just an encyclopedia..."

Vince sighed. "Sonata's... never been good with things ending. She's gotten better - back when she was seven, she got emotional when she reached the end of a dictionary."

"THIS WAS A BIG PROJECT OKAY WE WERE WORKING TOGETHER SO MUCH AND WE WERE SO HAPPY AND NOW IT'S OVER AND I DON'T WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE AGAIN!" Sonata suddenly belted, getting Vince and Tania to back up. "AND VINCE, YOU TOOK THAT DICTIONARY THING OUT OF CONTEXT!"

"We're not leaving you just because the Nymphlopedia First Edition is done!" Vince said. "JEEZ, did that last little bit dig up some bad memories?!"

"Yes." Sonata bluntly replied.

She sniffed, then finally sat up. "I'm sorry. We've been on that for a few days, it was just... big. For me. I really felt like I got attached to making something like that. Well, except maybe the Zenith, but... that'll be for when that's finally done."

As she wiped the tears out from her eyes, she looked and saw Vince there. With a warm, pleasant smile. "But I'm fine. I'm just... this book awoken things."

She suddenly took Vince in to a hug, catching him off guard. And then she turned to Tania and said something that caught her off guard.

"By the way, Vince and I prepared a special lil' somethin' for you. We were thinking about waiting until the book was published to celebrate the release, but after seeing how much it took out of you to help us with your own entry, well... we thought you could use a cheer-up."

"I'm the one that could use the cheer-up?" Tania chuckled a little. "Sonata, you-"

"Well I'm way more outwardly emotional than you are, I'm clearly not crying any more so I'm better, but you? Nah, I know you've been feeling some shit. Come on, Vince, let's show her."

"Right! We knew a trail of flower petals would piss you off, so just follow the gems-"

Sonata blinked. "Oh shit I forgot to put the gems down. Hold on a minute..."

She stood up and ran over to a treasure chest lying around. One of many. That left Vince to go near Tania.

"I'm not sure if I should cover your eyes while she gets this set up or not." He said.

"Try it. I like extra mystery in life some times."

"You do? Well, you've done a good job at fooling me."

Both of them laughed, and he gently put his hands over her eyes.

"Alright, I will."

Plitter, platter, platter...

"'S done!" Sonata said in a half-whisper to him.

Nodding, Vince took his hands off Tania's eyes, and right before her was a trail of gems. She smiled, following them... up the stairs... to the bedroom... she was laughing a little the whole time while Vince and Sonata followed shortly behind. There, on the bed...

...Was a giant bowl of meat.

"Oh!" Said Tania. "A... plant lover-friendly victory feast..." She was clearly trying to keep up a smile. "I, to be honest, I was expecting-"

"Why don't you pick it up and give it a closer look..." Said Sonata, holding back laughter. "Maybe, like, just turning around away from the bed a little? That's juicy meat, you don't wanna ruin our bed, after all..."

Okay, that made Tania flush with... hype? She picked it up and did the oddly specific instruction of turning away from the bed. "Oh! This looks like it was made with high-quality sauce! You didn't just get me random food-"

She heard two thumps on the bed behind her.

"Heyo you might wanna turn around before I get bored and do this without you buddy." She heard Sonata say.

Tania did in fact turn around, and there she saw Vince lying on his back on the bed. From Sonata's expert experience with the subject, he was already oiled up and naked. Atop him was Sonata, also oily, with her ass facing the Dryad.

"SURPRISE!" They both said. "YOUR REAL GIFT IS SEX WITH US!"

Tania was grinning, her hands clapped together.

Sonata broke from their pose to move up and point at her. "But seriously, Vince did put a lot of effort in to making that meal, so don't let it go to waste! Fridge it first or something."

"Got it."

It went as usual. The lovebirds, the 'Original Duo' of Vince and Sonata, both decided to put Tania in the center of the sandwich - that time because it was specifically for her. Not out of habits. Tania eventually found herself sitting up in the bed with the others to either side, Vince kissing her and basically handling everything above the waist, Sonata with her hand down between Tania's legs.

"Are the other Nymphs going to-" Tania asked, but she was cut off.

Out from the painting of the Dryad hanging above their bed (yeah... long, funny story about that), a hidden passage (funny story about that one too) opened up, and spilling from it were all the other Nymphs in the gang.

"No no no!" Sonata said as The Hundred started falling on the bed. "You're too early! The-the timing's off, I-"

Then she was crushed, followed by the rest of the Nymphs all falling out.

Atop the pileup was their Force Nymph warrior. General Impetua. Who pumped her fists up, completely unaware of just exactly how much happened.

"WHOO!" She cheered. "HUNDRED AND THREE-SOME! LET'S FUCKING GOOOOO!"

Final Thoughts:

Sorry I mean there was a lot to this chapter as-is and I still wanted to knock RTLD out of the way so I just rushed the horny bonus. But the rest of the chapter... I wouldn't call it rushed. Again, maybe in a rewrite I'll make it more fleshed out? I will tell you though that the short story as-is will not be rewritten to a fanservice-fest like all the other Nymph Variant ones might. That one's gonna be mostly story, still.

I'm actually kinda pissed off at myself. Because this was supposed to be a little side thingy and yet... well, it's a hell of a lot better than Joy Roy I think. Fuck, something like this (well, in chronologic order and with even more story focus) is what Joy Roy should have been. Instead JR is way too much like YIIK: A Post-Modern RPG for my liking. If you don't know about YIIK, look it up I can't do it justice in words here alone.

I'm also pissed at myself for doing a shit job with Run: .GIFocalypse 2-2 yet putting way more care in to this, a far bigger project with more of a time crunch. I seriously don't know how I wound up writing this.

Also I felt like this spoiled the entirety of Romancing the Last Dryad pretty much. In... a weird way. Again, the rewrites might just turn in to sexy shit, and the events from here as they stand might be reworked in to RTLD.

Long Overdue Legal Disclaimer: Terraria is the property of Re-Logic and was created by Andrew "Redigit" Spinks. (Who I just found out, that nickname is a Simpsons reference kind of.) I am not affiliated with Re-Logic at all and am aware that if they see this, I might get my ass torched on fire and sent to a psychologist (in that order) for having an unhealthy obsession with one random specific enemy on the simple fact that she's naked. This is intended to be a not-profit, free fanwork made in tribute of Terraria being such an amazing game. And one of the few works of fiction I'm aware of that technically has naked badasses fighting that's not some kind of hentai thing that just exists for fetish fulfillment. (And most of the time in those things the naked characters are as vulnerable and scared as possible or slaves or something like that.)

(Animal characters that are like mostly animals don't count, I don't want any smartasses talking about Sonic and Donkey Kong here.)

THE END.
