Desperation Part 2
"That is such wonderful news, Maya!" Lisa exclaimed.
"Very wonderful news, Maya!" Rafael agreed.
"That may be good for Lee and Maya," Jason said to Lisa. "but what about Ashley and me? We still have a problem on our hands!"
"That's right, Lisa," Ashley agreed. "Jace and I are desperate!"
Lisa took a sip of her latte.
"Don't panic," Lisa advised Ashley and Jason. "Colonel Hanson used to say that if you panic, you can't think."
Ashley and Jason both took deep breaths.
"You're right, Lisa." Jason said.
Rafael looked at his watch.
"Oh my gosh," Rafael exclaimed. "Lisa!"
"What is it, Rafa Darling," Lisa asked her fretful husband. "do I have a stain on my dress?"
"No, Lise," Rafael said. "we need to head back home!"
"That's right," Lisa agreed, remembering. "we need to interview applicants for the position of our new costume designer for the circus!"
Lisa and Rafael left JB's without even finishing their coffees.
"Well, Jace," Ashley sighed. "it looks like we're on our own."
"Looks like it, Ashley." Jason agreed.
Ashley and Jason finished their coffees, paid Chewie for them, then went back to their house to prepare for their daughter's arrival.
