Danger Strikes Part 1
A little while later, Matt and Evie found themselves at the door to the Cooper-Wilson trailer.
Shane was in the middle of showering, so it was Jess who opened the front door.
"Matt, Evie," Jess greeted. "would you two like to come in?"
"Maybe just for a minute, thank you, Missis Cooper." Matt said to Jess.
Evie and Matt stepped inside the Cooper-Wilson family's trailer and sat down on their living room sofa.
When Shane came into the living room in his bathrobe.
"Evangeline! Matthias," Shane greeted. "glad to see the two of you!"
"No time for pleasantries, Mister Wilson," Matt said to Shane. "Evie and I are on a case."
"Playing detective, are we?" Shane asked Evie and Matt.
Evie scratched her head where her scar was.
"The thing is," Evie explained to Jess and Shane. "Matt and I have reason to believe that Norville had put Bendozine into Ri's riding jacket..."
"But we need more proof that Norville has been slinking around here." Matt finished for Evie.
"Neither Jess nor I have seen the Cowlin boy hanging around the camp." Shane answered Evie and Matt matter-of-factly.
Evie sprang to her feet, "Thanks for the info! Come on, Matt!" she exclaimed.
Matt too got to his feet, then, he and Evie walked right out the front door.
