It was stormy outside, it being normal Florida weather as usual. Katy was on her computer, studying for her film class. She had the tv on, with Little Witch Academia showing on the screen. She was a fan of the show, even though she was not big on anime, she likes to experiment with the shows occasionally. Katy was too deep in her studies to notices her TV acting up. With a lightning flash, Katy now notices that her TV started to act weird. She tries turning the TV off with the remote, but it doesn't work. Katy, putting her laptop down on the sofa, went up to the tv to hit the top of it. It doesn't work at first, but when Katy did it again she notice something weird. Suddenly Katy started to feel weird with the TV going to static. Wind was picking up outside, with the TV starting form a vortex. Katy was losing consciousness, with the show's sound distorting.
Katy passes out and the next thing when she notices when she came too was that she was in a clear opening with a clear sky. "What the hell just happen?" she asked herself. Getting up, Katy felt her blood rushing to her head. Getting dizzy, Katy sat back down. She got back up again, but this time slowly. Looking around her surrounding, Katy found a familiar building.
"No, it can't be. That is not real," Katy said to herself. Before she can get any closer, she heard a girl talking to her.
"Excuse me, but what are you doing here. All the students have to go the assembly," the girl said.
"Shit," Katy thought and when she turned around, she saw a familiar blonde girl with emerald eyes. "Either I am dreaming or I am trap in the Little Witch Academia world," she thought to herself.
"Did you hear me?" the blonde girl asked.
"Hi, yeah, I did hear you. The thing is and I know this sounds crazy, but I am not from here," Katy said.
The blonde girl looked at her closer, examining Katy as if she was dissecting her. "And where are you from?" the blonde girl asked.
"Funny thing, I am from Florida," Katy said chuckling to herself, thinking of a plan.
"So why are you at this school if you don't attend here?" the blonde girl prodded.
"Well…um…oh look Professor Ursula is coming this way," Katy said pointing in front of her. The blonde girl looked at the direction she was pointing at, and Katy took this moment to escape. "Sucker" she thought, but before she can go anywhere else, she felt her body freezing up.
The blonde girl walked up to her and said, "Don't worry, I just put a charm on you, so you won't escape. So, tell me, who are you and what are you doing at this school?"
"Would you believe that I am an angel in disguise?" Katy asked. The blonde girl looked at her menacingly, making Katy gulped. "I take that as a no. Well, okay, how do I explain this. You see I am from Florida," she started.
"You have already said that which doesn't explain why you are here," the blonde girl said.
"Well, I am from Florida but not from here Florida," Katy explained, "This might sound crazy, but I am from a different universe."
The blonde girl was examining her, seeing if she was lying. "Look, let just say the universe where I am from is different then yours. There is stuff I can't say because it might cause some damage here," Katy explained.
"Like what?" the blonde girl asked.
"Well, would you believe me if I told you and your friends are characters on a TV show?" Katy asked.
The blonde girl was caught off guard, but she still looked through Katy making sure she was not lying. "And how do I know you are not lying?" the blonde girl asked.
"Diana Cavendish, as a young kid you went to see Shiny Chariot. You adore her, like Akko. Also, like Akko, you lost your magic, but you didn't give up. Judging the time right now, I will say you still have the limited-edition Shiny Chariot collectible card," Katy explained.
The blonde girl was taken a back, almost surprise. "How…how do you know that?" she asked.
"Like I said, you guys are just a TV show. So can you take the charm away and let me go," Katy said.
"I will take the charm away, but I am taking you to the professors," Diana said. Katy groaned knowing she might sound like a crazy person.
"Dear God, I hope I won't be another Gwenpool," Katy thought to herself. Diana lead her through the doors of Luna Nova. If it wasn't for the situation at hand, then Katy will be in awe. But right now, she is being lead to the headmistress's office. When Diana opened the door, inside the Headmistress, Professor Holbrooke was sitting at her desk talking to Professor Ursula and Professor Finnelan. They all looked up to see Katy and Diana at the doorway, walking towards them.
"Ms. Cavendish, to what do we owe this visit for?" asked the headmistress.
"Headmistress Holbrooke, Professors, I have a girl here who says she is not from here and I was wondering if you can help me?" Diana said.
"How can she not be from here if she found the school?" Finnelan asked.
Diana was about to speak, but Katy beat her to it. "Well, do you want the truth where you won't believe me, or do you want me to say I just stumbled here?" she asked.
"How would you know we won't believe you if you don't tell the truth?" Holbrooke asked.
"I guess the truth it is. To put it simply, I am not from this universe. Hell I don't even know how the fuck I got here. All I know is that I was in my home in Florida, studying for a damn test while a storm was happening outside. I had my TV to help me study a bit but then a portal started to open and poof I am now here," Katy explained.
The professors and headmistress looked at each other. Then they looked at Katy and Diana and the headmistress said, "I see, your situation is quite peculiar. Is there anything else we need to know?"
"Well…" Katy was about to said but Diana interjected.
"I think Ms…" Diana was about to say, but she doesn't know Katy's last name.
"Foley," Katy answered.
"I think Ms. Foley needs some rest," Diana informed.
The professors think about it for a moment and Professor Ursula then added, "We can pair her up with the red team. I feel like she can help them not get in trouble."
"What an excellent idea," the headmistress stated.
"Shit, well at least it can't get any worse," Katy thought.
"Would you want me to lead Ms. Foley to her new room?" Diana asked.
"That would be greatly appreciative," the headmistress stated.
"Excuse me, but how the fuck am I going to get home?" Katy interrupted.
"Language Ms. Foley," Professor Finnalan warned.
"Man fuck you, I just told you that I just got trapped here and you are now putting me in this school," Katy bite back.
"Ms. Foley that is enough from you. We are being generous and letting you stay here so please be kind to us," Finnelan said.
"Look, I just want to know what is the plan of getting me back to my world?" Katy asked.
"That we don't know, and we won't know if you keep on going on," Finnelan said.
Once Katy heard those words, she felt her heart drop. She didn't even notice that tears have formed in her eyes. She balled up her fists and yelled, "I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE THE FUCKING BEST WITCHES IN THE WORLD. SO WHY THE FUCK YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET ME BACK HOME." She then turned on her heel and ran out of the door. Finnelan was about to go run after her but Holbrooke put her hand out, silently telling her don't do it. She then turned to Diana and said, "Ms. Cavendish, would you please be a dear and help our new student and take her to red team."
"Yes headmistress," Diana said. She bowed her head and left the office. It didn't take long for her to find Katy. She found Katy in the hall crying. Walking up to her, Diana said, "You know you should never talk to the professors like that."
"Diana grabbed that big stick up your ass and go fuck yourself," Katy said.
"Look, Ms. Foley," Diana was about to say.
"Diana don't call me fucking Ms. Foley, makes me sound old. I am Katy," Katy interrupted.
"Ok, Katy, look, the professors are trying their best. I know you are upset about this, but this is something that is new for everyone involved," Diana said.
"New my ass, you guys are a school of witches. How the hell is this new?" Katy countered.
"Because we never had someone who had a similar case as yours. You are a special case," Diana said, "Now come on, class is about to end, and I will have to have you meet your temporary team."
Katy groaned knowing who red team is. "How do you think they will respond to having a new member on their team?" Katy asked.
"I do not know. Let's just hope they will respond in a good way," Diana said. Diana and Katy walked towards the infamous red team's room. As soon as the approached the door, Diana and Katy heard an explosion inside. Diana knocked on the door and Katy heard a young Japanese girl telling her roommates to calm down. The door opened and out came a brownish hair girl with red eyes.
"Hi Diana do what we owe this visit for?" the girl asked.
"Akko, do I have to ask what the explosion was?" Diana asked.
"Nah, everything is fine," Akko answered.
"Good, cause I am here to introduce you to your new team member," Diana said.
"New team member?" Akko asked. She now notice the second person standing next the blond girl.
"Oh hello, my name is," Akko was about to say but was interrupted.
"I know who you are, Akko," Katy interrupted.
"Oh um, well do I know you?" Akko asked.
"No, but I do know you all of you," Katy said.
One of the other girls, Sucy, was walking towards Akko seeing what is taking so long. "Akko, who is at the…," she was about to say but soon stop when she notices Diana at the door. "Diana," she greeted.
"Sucy," Diana greeted back.
Sucy then moved her eyes towards the girl next to her. "So who is the newbie?" she asked.
"My name is Katy Foley, and I will be joining your team," Katy said.
"Um Diana, I thought there was supposed to be three girls per team?" Sucy asked.
"There is but she is a special case. Also, it is per headmistress orders. Anyways, I have to go the library right now to help a couple students studied. Katy if you have any questions just ask me ok," Diana said, leaving Katy with red team.
"Diana, you owe me," Katy said out of ear shot. She then turned to Akko and asked, "Well, Akko can I come in now?"
Akko still surprised that Katy knew her and her friends, snapped out of her stupor. "Sure…sure, come in," she said, opening the door wide. Katy walked into the small room and notice that Lotte was in her chair reading the Nightfall series, while Sucy resumed her normal task of making potions. Again, if it wasn't for Katy being trapped in this world without no way home, she will be will happy living her dream.
"I am surprised that the headmistress has you join our team. Being a special case and all, I would think you will be with Diana watchful eyes," Sucy said.
"Trust me, it wasn't my idea either. I just want to go home and now I am fucking trap here," Katy said taking a seat against the wall.
"So what is so special with you," Sucy asked.
"You don't want to know," Katy answered.
"Oh come on, if you are a special case, there has to be a reason why they have you roomed with us," Sucy pushed on.
Katy thought for a moment. She has to tell the red team sooner or later because they will find out anyhow. Also, it will be better cause she won't have to keep it a secret. So with a deep secret, Katy asked, "Have you guys ever heard of the comic book character Gwenpool?"
"I don't think I have," Sucy said.
"Me neither," Lotte added.
"I haven't," Akko said.
"Ok, about the Marvel comics?" Katy asked. All three girls nodded their head no. "Marvel doesn't exist here. I can take advantage of that," Katy thought. "Well, I am not from here. I am from a different world where all of this is just a TV show that everyone watches. A good show I might add, but the fucking studio is not making a season 2," she explained.
The girls were all silent for a second, then Sucy burst out laughing. "For a new girl, you are pretty funny," Sucy said.
"I don't think she is joking Sucy," Akko said.
"Sure, she is, do you really think that can happen," Sucy said.
"Sucy, I am telling you the truth, although I didn't tell that part to the headmistress and the professors," Katy said.
"Is this show, can you tell us anything about it," Lotte asked.
"No, I don't want to change anything that will happen, though that can be futile," Katy said.
"And how do we know you are not lying?" Sucy asked.
"Easy, those names I just ask, they are from my world. Marvel is one of the largest comic book companies. Gwenpool is one of their characters and her story is similar to mine, expect it is comic book esque instead of this," Katy explained, "Also I know every person in this school and their secrets."
"This is still confusing to me," Akko asked.
"Trust me, you not the only one," Katy asked. She then felt her stomach growling, forgetting she hasn't eaten anything. "Anyhow, I am getting hungry so how about some lunch?" The girls agreed with her.
The cafeteria was busy as usual. The red team got their food and was sitting with the rest of green team. Katy was poking at her food, forgetting how much school food taste like shit. Her teammates were talking to green team, while Katy was thinking to herself. At first it was something trivial like her college work or passing the class. Then it lead to the thought of her family missing her. While she was thinking to herself, she overheard to girls snickering and making fun of her.
"Oh look, another misfit joined red team," Hannah said.
"Hopefully she is not a failure," Barbara said.
Katy, not wanting to deal with this, had an idea. She got up from her seat and went back on the lunch line. She got herself two bowls of ice cream and walked towards the bullies. She notice Diana watching her and mouthing don't. Katy ignored her and gave the two bowls to Hannah and Barbara. While she was giving it to them, she whispered to their ears, "Listen you little shits and listen good, if you don't want me to tell the school your deep dark secrets, I rather you two be kind to me and my team, ok?"
Both girls' faces went white with fear. Katy smiled and left the table walking back to where red and green team were. The girls were shock to see Hannah and Barbara's face go white as they examine the scene in their seats.
"I have never seen Hannah nor Barbara have fear in their eyes, what did you told them?" Amanda asked.
"Oh nothing, it is just something between them and me," Katy said. She notices Diana walking towards her.
"Ms. Foley, a word please," Diana said.
Both teams looked at each other, and then looked at Katy. Katy, taking her cup of water and drinking it, got up and followed Diana. Diana led Katy out to the hallway.
"What the hell do you want Diana?" Katy asked.
"Katy, I just saw you threatening two of the students here," Diana said.
"Look Diana, they were the ones who started it. Are you going to ignore them bullying my team and I?" Katy asked.
"That is not what I mean," Diana began.
"Then what the fuck do you mean?" Katy asked. "Fuck, even in the show you don't fucking keep your teammates in check!"
"Katy, you need to calm down," Diana said, trying to deescalate the situation.
"Oh don't even dare to tell me to calm the fuck down," Katy continued.
"Katy, look how about this, I will bring Hannah and Barbara to your dorm to apologize to you and your teammates. But I would need you to apologize to them," Diana said.
"Why the hell do I need to apologize?" Katy asked.
"Because you threaten them," Diana answered, "which is against the rules."
"You know what, FUCK YOUR RULES AND FUCK YOU!" Katy yelled, storming off back to her team. Diana, not knowing she was holding her breath, let it go and walked back to the cafeteria. As she was walking back, the cafeteria was dead silent. All the students and staff were watching her, as she was sitting down on her table. Even though Diana didn't notice that tears were forming on her face, her friends did and started to comfort her.
"Are you okay Diana?" Hannah asked.
"Yeah, I am fine. Just allergies," Diana said. She glanced back at red team and notice that Katy was staring at her with scorn.
Hannah notice this and decided enough was enough. She walked towards red team and approached Katy. "It is one thing to threaten me and Barbara, but you threaten Diana. What right do you have to do that?" she asked.
"The same right I have to tell the school your crush," Katy said, smirking. Hannah was taken aback but decided to enough was enough and pulled Katy's hair. "Are you sure you would want to do this?" Katy asked.
"Apologize to Diana right now or else," Hannah demanded.
"Or else what, you will pull my hair and try to fight. I hate to break it to you, but at my old school I was known to win every fight," Katy said, "And would you want me to tell Amanda about your dirty little secret."
Hannah was wide eyed hearing this. "But…but how do you know?" was all Hannah was about to say, before Katy punched her out.
Hannah hit the floor with a thud, with Katy standing on top of her soothing her fist. "Like I said sweetheart, I win every fight," Katy said.
The doors then open with the Professors swarming in. "Katy Foley, Diana Cavendish, Atsuko Kagari, in my office now!" Finnelan demanded.
The door was shut behind at them as Professor Finnelan went behind her desk. "Can you girls explain to me why there was a fight in the cafeteria?" she demanded.
"Well you see Professor, I punched Hannah in self-defense," Katy explained.
"Quiet you," Finnelan said. She then turned to Diana and said, "Ms. Cavendish, Ms. Foley here was your charge. So why did she strike another student?"
"I…um…," Diana was sputtering out.
"Diana did try to deescalate things, pulling me out to the hallway telling me that she will have Hannah and Barbara apologize. I yelled at Diana out of frustration due to all the stress and shit going on right now. Hell Akko here didn't do anything either. I admit I threaten both Hannah and Barbara out of spite and I did strike them. Diana did try to prevent that from happening, but I did hit a cord with her and she couldn't process what just happen until it was too late," Katy explain.
"I see, well, we will discuss your punishments later," Finnelan said.
"Oh what the fuck, punishments really," Katy said.
"You did strike a student, which is against the rules. And add the fact that you threaten them," Finnelan said, "Now, Ms. Cavendish and Ms. Kagari you may leave while I talk to Ms. Foley here."
Both girls did what they were told and left the room. As soon as they leave, Katy said, "So what is going to be my punishment. Might as well get it done and over with."
"Ms. Foley, tell me the truth. What really made you go off on those girls?" Finnelan asked.
"They were making fun of me and my team. I never like bullies, I especially hate people who are friends with bullies," Katy explained, "Also add all the years of pent-up anger and living in a tough neighborhood, and you got what you saw at the cafeteria."
"I see, and is that why you yelled at Diana," Finnelan asked.
"Yup, although I do feel kinda bad for her," Katy answered.
"I see. Well, for your punishment, you would be helping Professor Ursula out with her chores for a few days. With those days, you will also need to learn how to cool your anger down," Finnelan said.
"That's it, ok that won't be problem, I will report to Ursula tomorrow, thank you so much," Katy said as she was leaving the classroom.
Katy headed back to her dorm room, where both green and red team were waiting. "So, what punishment did Finnelan gave you?" Akko asked.
"A few days with Ursula," Katy said.
"That doesn't sound like Finnelan at all," Akko said.
"Probably because I am new here," Katy said.
As they were talking, there was a knock on the door. Katy got up and opened it. She was surprised to see Diana with Hannah and Barbara standing next to her. She saw the black eyed she gave to Hannah and smirked.
"Sorry to intrude, but we are sorry for being mean to you and your teammates," Hannah apologizes.
"I do hope you guys can forgive us," Barbara added.
Katy thought for a moment and just said, "Let's all forget about it, okay. Clean slate for everyone and we all can be friends. I do apologize for threatening you and punching you out."
"We accept it. I just do have one question. How do you know about our secrets?" Hannah asked.
"Like yeah, I don't think even think I have told anyone about the book series," Barbara added.
"Let's just say it is my ability okay," Katy said, "Anyways, don't beat yourselves up over it. Explore your interests and don't let anyone bullshit you."
"Um thanks," both Hannah and Barbara said in confusion.
"No problem, anyways, why don't you guys come in and join us," Katy said opening the door so Hannah and Barbara can join the party. Both girls entered, leaving Diana and Katy behind.
"Diana, I do want to apologize for yelling at you. I know it was wrong for me to yell at you since you are trying to help me," Katy apologized.
"Katy, why did you defend me after you yelled at me?" Diana asked.
"Cause, I feel really bad and honestly you don't know how to stand up for yourself," Katy answered, "Now come on, we should join the others." Diana entered the dorm with Katy and they joined everyone else.
