Hey guys! Here's another one.
We're finally past the middle of our drabbles :)
There won't be more angst, maybe just a little. I really want to just enjoy my ship.
Also, this is a little wholesome drabble featuring more avengers. Enjoy it!
Thanks so much for your reviews! Also, Still Waters: it's so nice to see your name on the reviews once again. Thanks!
He can't remember the last time he celebrated his birthday. During the war, Howard once gave him a chocolate cake, and a very expensive whiskey to test his resistance to alcohol.
And Peggy gave him a sketchbook. And they all went to the nearest pub with the Howling Commandos.
But this year, when he enters the apartment, a bunch of people jump to scar him off.
"You guys are lucky I hid the shield. He usually keeps it near the door. Just in case."
Steve smiles at Maria, who is currently wearing a party hat on her brown hair. A blue, red and white party hat.
Everyone is wearing one. Tony, Clint, Bruce, Thor and Natasha, although she's trying really hard to keep the curls in place.
Steve is just reaching around 28, but Tony placed a 95 on the cake. Thor and Clint gave him senior discounts, Natasha a writing machine, Bruce a purple (and really horrible) tie and Tony just gave him a really expensive bottle of whiskey.
("Just like his old man." But Steve doesn't mentioned it out aloud.)
Then comes Maria's turn. And she gives him a sketchbook and a pack of drawing pencils. "I couldn't retrieve the old one from SHIELD...but perhaps, you can start a new one."
He understands. A new sketchbook. With this new life, new friends. And a new love.
With Maria.
(Her profile it's the first addition to his new drawings.)
