It's now the next morning. I ended up staying over at Nate's. I mean I was in my pajamas anyway, and it was just easier to go to my appointment with him in the morning.

I wake up and now realize I'm alone in Nate's bed, looking over at his side of the bed, empty.

My phone dings, and I prop myself up more so that I can read the text I just got.

Gossip Girl.

Looks like little J is fleeing Brooklyn in what? A nightgown. But she's not going to see her daddy at his new abode, no she's headed to the upper west side to see our favorite new Columbia student. Careful J, you don't want to be late for Algebra.

I roll my eyes. Stupid Dan.

Then I see a text from my dad.

Dad: Good luck at your appointment sweetie. I know we haven't talked much lately but I'm always thinking of you, Lily too.

I smile. I was glad that me and my dad could take the first step in the right direction. We were always so close and I didn't want this to change it. Besides I was going to need Dad and Lily's help.

I text him back.

J: Thanks Dad. I miss you guys. I'll let you know how it goes, and maybe I'll even have picture!

Then I put my phone back down on the beside table.

"Nate", I call out, getting out of bed and then laugh. "Where'd you go?"

"Hold on!", I hear from outside the bedroom. "I'm almost done".

"What are you doing?", I laugh, curious.

"Just stay in bed, I'll be there in like 1 minute".

I do as Nate says, and sure enough he comes in with a tray.

"Waffles!", Nate says proudly, putting the tray down in front of me with a plate of 2 waffles and strawberries, and syrup.

"Oh my gosh, I didn't know you knew how to make these", I gush. "I saw you more so as an Eggo waffle in the toaster kinda person".

"Well I had an old waffle iron laying around, I think it was my mom's before we moved", Nate explains. "I know your dad makes them and they're you're favorite. And it's a special day so.."

Nate's smile and dazzling eyes make my heart bounce in my chest and I lean forward to kiss him.

"Thank you", I say softly and then giggle. "This is really sweet. Plus I'm starving".

"Also since you stayed over here, make sure you take your vitamins when you get back to your place", Nate reminds me.

"Don't worry I will", I assure him, smirking. "You don't have to take care of me".

"I know", Nate nods. "But sometimes you have to let, it makes me feel better".

I smile at him.

We talk for a bit about the appointment and maybe actually getting to see something in the scan, which totally freaks me out. As much as I of course know there's a baby there, I just can't picture that I'm growing an actual baby that will look like us, will have actual feelings, and thoughts. It's weird.

The morning goes by quickly as me and Nate get ready to go, but I quickly remember that I have nothing to wear.

"Hey Nate, I don't know why this totally slipped my mind until now, but I kind of have no change of clothes", I say.

Nate thinks it over.

"Yeah you're right, why didn't we think of that?"

"I didn't plan on staying here last night, and it's going to take way too long to go back to Brooklyn now", I stare down at the clock on my phone. "Especially when the appointment is on the Upper East Side".

"Hey you know what? I'm sure Serena or Blair has something you can borrow", Nate suggests.

"Blair… probably wouldn't let me anywhere close to her closet. And Serena's room is at my dad and Lily's where I'm kind of avoiding right now", I think over.

"You know what? I'll just call Blair, I'm sure she'll be fine with it, we're on good terms. Besides she's actually matured a lot lately, might even be friendly to you", Nate shrugs, dialling her number.

I'm standing there awkwardly, but me and Blair did make up a couple months ago, and were friendly lately, maybe she'd even be a friend to me.

"Hey Blair, it's Nate"

"Nate why are you calling me at 9 o'clock in the morning. You know that me and Chuck enjoy our morning time", Blair groans before even saying hello.

"Ew…", Nate says looking at me as I stifle a laugh. "I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that. But anyway, I have a favour to ask you, me and Jenny have a favour to ask you".

I can hear Blair's sigh through the phone.

"You and little J… it'll never make sense to me, but go ahead shoot", Blair groans.

"I was wondering if she could borrow something to wear from you, nothing fancy, we're just about to go to a doctor's appointment", Nate explains.

"Aw did little J loose all her clothes?", Blair says sarcastically. "Did Forever 21 suddenly shut down?"

"Blair", Nate reiterates, slightly rolling his eyes.

"Fine", Blair says. "Only because I feel bad that she's probably not going to fit into anything soon. I'll call Dorota… have her put something together for her, but nothing couture, nothing Marc Jacobs, nothing Vuitton, and certainly no Prada. Bendels and Saks only, got that J?"

I laugh, and speak into the phone.

"Blair I'm literally just looking for like a top and jeans, have no worries".

"Yeah I don't know if you're going to find a lot of jeans in my wardrobe, but we'll see what Dorota can do", Blair sighs. "Oh… au revoir to you two, Chuck just came back".

"Bye", we both say in unison awkwardly.

When Nate hangs up the phone we both laugh.

"Anyways, at least I'll have something to wear", I laugh. "I don't want to go in there looking like a stereotypical pregnant teenager. I'll be worried enough already".

"Jenny, don't worry about what people think, honestly it doesn't matter. You and I know who we are", Nate assures me and I hug him.

"Ready to go?", he smiles, and I nod, as we take off down the hallway of his building, me still in the same outfit as last night.

We arrive at Blair's place and me and Nate go to the top floor where Blair's penthouse is.

"Mr. Nate!", Dorota greets Nate and they hug, talking for a while about how Dorota is doing.

"And hello Ms Jenny, I haven't seen you around lately", Dorota greets me and I laugh a little.

"Yeah I haven't been here, but I have heard Vanya taking about you non stop", I wink at Dorota and she blushes.

"I miss him, he is very good man", Dorota smiles.

"Yes he is", I laugh a bit and me and Nate lock eyes for a second, smiling.

"Well this is what I could find… very hard to find casual in Ms. Blair's closet, but I do my best", Dorota opens a white box with a pair of stretchy black pants and a slightly sparkly white blouse with little bows on the sides.

"It's perfect Dorota, thank you SO much", I hug her.

"Of course, washroom is over there if you want to change".

I smile and head over and I hear Nate and Dorota continue to talk about how Columbia is going.

I change into the outfit, which actually seems to fit me perfectly, I take a look at myself in the mirror, take a deep breath and walk back out.

"Amazing! It looks great Ms. Jenny", Dorota says.

"Perfect", I hear Nate chime in quietly.

"Awesome", I say. "It fits perfect".

"Where are you two off to?", Dorota asks and me and Nate look at each other. It donned at me that she probably didn't know I was pregnant, I guess Blair probably didn't mention it to her.

"Well Dorota", Nate decides to say it. "Me and Jenny are actually just heading off to a doctor's appointment, Jenny's pregnant actually, and we're really excited".

Dorota immediately perks up and puts her hands over her mouth then looks at us excitedly.

"Oh my, congratulations Ms. Jenny, I so happy for you. A baby is such a blessing", Dorota envelopes me in a hug, surprising me as I thank her.

"And Mr. Nate… going to be a father", Dorota actually tears up as she looks at both of us. "I know Mr. Nate since he was about this tall".

Dorota gestures to the floor and we laugh.

"And now he have baby of his own. I so happy for both of you, we must celebrate, have baby shower for you!", Dorota says.

"Not quite yet", I say. "I'm really early, I'm only 6 weeks".

Dorota smiles.

"I love babies. I can't wait to meet her", Dorota says.

"Dorota we don't know the gender yet", I smile.

"I just feel it Ms Jenny", Dorota waves goodbye and goes back to arranging the flowers into a vase in the Waldorf's front hall.

I look at Nate and shrug as we walk towards the elevator.

"Maybe Dorota is a psychic", Nate says partly sarcastically as he presses the button to go down to the main floor.

"Maybe", I lean up to kiss him quickly on the lips.

It's just a short drive to the medical building that the gynaecologist is in from Blair's place.

We're now standing outside the building, Nate holding the door open so I can come in, but I stand still, feeling unable to make my legs move.

"You coming?", Nate asks as I stand staring at the building.

"Yeah", I say softly and then take a deep breath, gathering the courage. "Yeah… let's go".

I smile alongside Nate as we go up another elevator to get the the fifth floor where Dr. McCormack's office is.

"Hi", I say to the receptionist when we arrive. "I'm Jenny Humphrey, I have an appointment at 11… with Dr. McCormack".

"Yes, of course! Take a seat and we'll call you when she's ready", the girl smiles at me.

Me and Nate go sit in the waiting room which hosts a sea of different women, but there is one common denominator among the bunch: they appear to be well off, middle aged women. Some look very business like and are talking on the phone, some look more casual, holding onto the kids they already have or telling them to put the diagram of a uterus down, which stifles a laugh from Nate.

There's no doubt I'm the youngest person in the room.

We go to sit down together on the outskirts of the chairs, as if to make ourselves as unnoticeable as we possibly can.

I start tapping my leg against the side of the chair.

"Jenny", Nate whispers giving me a look.

"What?", I question, almost defensively.

"There's no need to be embarrassed. These people don't care, they were young once too", Nate whispers to me.

"Yeah but they probably weren't pregnant at sixteen", I frown slightly, but he puts his hand on my leg.

"I'm sure no one will judge", Nate says. "And soon we'll be in the doctor's and then we can go home, order some pizza and we can even watch that show you like tonight".

"Four weddings?", I say trying not to smile.

"Yeah, that one", Nate laughs quietly and then pauses. "I didn't know you liked weddings so much".

"Oh I don't, seriously", I say immediately. "I just like the drama, the food, the dresses, the decorations. And the girls create a real bond".

I explain the show as if I'm talking about my greatest passion.

"Okay", Nate looks away laughing.

"Shut up", I whisper. "I don't question why you like sports".

"That's because soccer and football make sense", he states.

"Not to me! I mean really, who cares who throws the ball into the other persons net?", I joke with him.

"Me! And like fifty thousand other people around the world", Nate laughs like it's obvious.

"Whatever", I act like I'm looking away, still playing around with Nate.

"Jennifer Humphrey?", a woman comes into the room and calls.

We both shoot up.

"Hi!", I say. "That's me".

"Nice to meet you. You go by Jenny right?", she says.

"Yeah… yeah whatever is easier", I say, wanting to appear responsible and agreeable to her so she wouldn't pre judge me.

"Great. I'm Dr. McCormack", she smiles. She's blonde, very tall, and is wearing a lot of gold jewelry that looks quite expensive. She's older, I'd probably say close to sixty, but is fairly thin. "Come on in".

She guides us to a room, which inside has one of those reclining beds they have in doctors offices, and a desk for her to sit at and a couple seats, and a lot of other equipment, I'm guessing to see the baby.

"I see you have a friend with you", Dr. McCormack smiles at Nate.

"Hi", he shakes her hand. "Nate Archibald".

"Any relation to William Van Der Bilt?", she asks.

"Yes, he's my grandfather actually".

"I knew it! What a successful family you have", She notes. "Nice to meet you both, want to have a seat?".

She gestures to the reclining chair.

Here we go.
