Okay, I know. I was LONG overdue for this. If you're wondering, no, I didn't forget about the PBB version of SVOS. The reason why it was taking so long was because I didn't know how I wanted to start it off. :/
But now that I do have an idea, I decided to finally unleash it before the angry mob comes in and demands me for something like this anyway. Better safe than sorry, if I do say so myself.
Anyways, this is just the pilot episode, so I hope the wait was worth it. Enjoy! ;)
It was quite peaceful at Roria's well-known capital location: Anthian City. For the great city in the sky, every day meant new possibilities for the residence. And that only continues to grow when the arrival of a group of four teenagers came to.
Nifty Weaka, the wielder of the Bronze Brick, arrived at the city with his friends. After a situation at his hometown gone wrong, he decided to rise to higher palettes and save his abducted parents from an evil group known as Team Eclipse.
While this evil team has been known to be rough and tough to step right in his way, Nifty has no fear to back down from a fight. And plus, even if he is all alone, he still has his three friends by his side:
Sonic Harknah, a close friend he grew up with. His parents have also been captured about a couple days after Nifty's. Despite this, he and Sonic have always stuck together through thick and thin, and it doesn't seem like that's gonna end anytime soon.
Jake Caper, another close friend, and an excitable rambler. He has been refraining the group's pressure to go forward faster than expected, but despite his cowardice premise, he is still glad to help Nifty and Sonic with their long-term goal.
And, new to the friend group, Tess Fitzgerald. After she and her grandpa have been saved from a Team Eclipse ambush in Rosecove City, she decided to join the adventure and be an extra asset to Nifty and Sonic.
But while these four have connected flawlessly, Nifty knew there was still one more thing that needed to be done. He had no idea what'll happen when he begins the true name for this group, but he has a feeling that this is going to work out well for all four of them.
*scene: inside the Golden Poke Ball, Battle Arena*
Training for the fourth gym was nothing when it came to Nifty and Sonic on their way to obtaining Gym Badges. While saving their parents was a first priority, these two still have a need to get stronger, and what better way to do that than to prove their worth with defeating the eight Gyms in the region?
Nifty was still wearing his Team Valor fan uniform, as he still had his utmost love for the team. Meanwhile, Sonic completely changed his uniform, and was now wearing a blue and white striped shirt with a pair of jeans and black shoes with red stripes. Sonic also had a red cap on his head, with some of his blue hair still showing.
(You guys may recognize this as Ash's outfit in the Kalos anime series. :D)
Jake and Tess were on the bleachers watching a battle go on. Tess was keeping her eye on Sonic's newly hatched Pokémon, Manaphy, as it also wanted to watch the battle. And Rotom-Dex was above the two, watching with close intent as attacks collide, and strategies quickly being devised.
Nifty and Sonic were currently in a 1v1 training battle, with Nifty starting off with Greninja, and Sonic starting with Chesnaught, kinda like that one time at the Rosecove Beach. Except this time, it was more of a training session.
"Alright, Greninja! Space yourself out with Water Shuriken!" Nifty shouted. Greninja obeys his trainer's command, and forms a few ninja stars made of water, and throwing them at Chesnaught.
"Spiky Shield, and fast!" Sonic counteracted. The spiny armor Pokémon quickly turns around as more spikes appear on his back. The Shurikens evaporated immediately upon contact with the spikes.
"Very good!" Sonic complimented, "Now, Pin Missile!"
Chesnaught roars as he turns back around, unleashing a bunch of green missiles from his back, aiming them towards Greninja.
"Dodge it, then use Scald!" Nifty yelled. Greninja dodges all the incoming missiles with ease, as speed was his game. Once the onslaught ended, Greninja unleashes a stream of hot water right towards the spiny armor Pokemon.
"Cut through with Needle Arm!" Sonic warned. Chesnaught raises his right arm as it turns a bright green. He then runs towards the Scald with his arm in front of him. The Needle Arm was easily passing through, even when he was getting closer!
"Collide with Quick Attack!" Nifty commanded. Greninja jumps as he ends the Scald attack, then rams his leg right into Chesnaught's Needle Arm.
The two attacks collide, and the two Pokémon growl as they try to gain the advantage over one another. However, instead, they were both pushed back. They landed on their feet in the end, as this battle was far from finished.
"Heh, I'm telling you, Sonic," Nifty said with a smirk, "You are quite strong. Never let Kevin tell you otherwise, because we know whatever he says isn't a true fact."
"Thanks, Nifty. That really means a lot coming from you." Sonic giggled, smiling bashfully.
"Don't sweat it, buddy." Nifty responded again.
"Ninja." Greninja also nods in agreement.
"Yeah, you're definitely coming along quite well, you two!" Jake complimented as he and Tess walk to the field to meet up with their friends.
"Mana!" Manaphy cheers as she jumps over at Sonic. The blue-haired boy laughs as he catches Manaphy and lets it snuggle against him. Chesnaught watches the contact Sonic has with the small Mythical Pokémon, and smiles. He loved how well his trainer was coming along during this journey.
"I do have to say, you two are definitely ready for the next Gym. No doubt about it." Tess said, turning towards Nifty after she spoke.
"Oh, you don't have to tell me twice. I know Sonic and I got this in the bag." Nifty chuckles, crossing his arms to maintain a cool pose. Sonic looked over at his best friend and giggles, loving how Nifty always tries to look cool in scenarios such as this.
"I think we should stop the battle for now. What do you say, Chesnaught?" Sonic suggested as he pets Chesnaught's arm.
"Ches, Chesnaught." The spiny armor Pokemon complies.
"Yeah, I agree. We don't wanna get too overheated." Nifty agrees as he nods.
"Here, Greninja and Chesnaught. I saved some Sitrus Berries for you so you can heal up." Jake said to the Pokemon as he holds out two Sitrus Berries; one in each hand.
"Gren!" Greninja says as he grabs one of the berries, while Chesnaught grabs the other. The two begin munching down on it, loving the taste of this fruity, juicy berry. Once they were finished, they look at Jake with affectionate smiles, and make approved noises.
"That's they're way of saying thank you." Nifty reminded, smirking as he looks at his first starter.
"Any time, you two!" Jake cheered as he shows a big grin.
"According to be recent calculationzzz, bzzt, you two are indeed growing stronger by the minute!" Rotom-Dex exclaimed excitedly as he zipped over with the rest of the group.
"Oh yeah, Rotom, forgot you were still there." Nifty teased.
"Forgot? Bzzt, I'm been by your zzzide since then! Bzzt!" Rotom rambled.
"Heh heh heh, just kidding! Can't forget about someone wild and rambunctious as you are!" Nifty laughed. Rotom then shakes his head as he smiles, rolling his eyes playfully.
"Though, we're glad to have you by our side, Rotom. You have been a big help." Sonic commented. Rotom shows his happy eyes as a smiling emoji appears on his screen.
"So, what shall we do now, guys?" Tess asked, "I was thinking maybe we drop our stuff off at the hotel first, then maybe we can head back to the Poke Ball Emporium to meet up with Gerald. Chances are he may have found something regarding Team Eclipse, and/or your parents."
"That sounds nice." Sonic replied.
"Yes, I agree! That's a perfect suggestion!" Jake chimed in quickly. Tess giggles at how quickly Jake seemed to share his own response.
"Yeah, sure. But before we head out, there is something I wanna show you guys." Nifty reminded. The other three trainers looked at Nifty with a curious expression. Even the two Pokémon felt the same way.
"What's up Nifty?" Sonic asked. Nifty smirks as he looks at his first best friend, then towards the rest as they all grouped together.
"Well," The lava-haired boy stated, "Since we're basically in this adventure together now, I was thinking I can consider us as some sort of friend group now. And sure, while Tess and Rotom are kinda new, we still became friends quickly.
"Hezzz not wrong." Rotom agreed.
"Yes, but... where exactly are you going with this, Nifty?" Tess asked kindly.
"Glad you asked." Nifty responded. He then grabs his big and zippers it open. A couple seconds later. hr grabs his sketchbook. Jake was already in awe, while Sonic's curiosity grew higher.
Nifty quickly skimmed over a few pages, then stopped when he arrived at his destination. He whips it over so its contents can face the rest of the group.
"Feast your eyes on THIS!" He chuckles. The rest were amazed at what they saw.
On this originally blank page was four different emblems with different logos for each of them. The one on the top left was red with a brick in the middle, similar to Nifty's Bronze Brick necklace. The top right was blue but with the silver sphere similar to Sonic's necklace. The bottom left was gray with a blue star as the logo. And the bottom right was purple, and had a green dragon head in the middle of it all.
On the bottom of these circular emblems, there was a map-like trail enough to fit a short sentence in it. And below each of them had their first and last name in the map. Nifty for the top left, Sonic for the top right, Jake for the bottom left, and Tess for the bottom right.
But most importantly was the large font at the very top of the page. And that font said:
"Brick Bronze."
"Ooh! I like this a lot, Nifty! Your sketching is really good!" Sonic complimented, smiling as he was done viewing what the page's contents had.
"Psh, it's not THAT good." Nifty assured.
"Nifty, I LOVE it! This is really good!" Jake said excitedly.
"I like how my logo is a dragon head, and it's green to match with my sweater," Tess reminded, "You really outdid yourself, Nifty. I'd give it a 10 out of 10."
"Thanks, guys. I just really like how each and every one of us connected so quickly," Nifty explained, "So I wanted to make this little friend group title, and how we'll grow each minute like this. Friends till the end, amirite?"
"Hey! Why am I not in there?" Rotom asked.
"I ran out of room." Nifty blatantly said.
"Oh." Was all Rotom responded with. He just stood there staring for a few seconds, before zipping back nearby Sonic and Jake.
"Gren, Greninja." Nifty's starter likes how well Nifty sketched all of that out, nodding once and showing a small smile. Nifty smirks back and offers a fist bump, which Greninja wholeheartedly accepts it.
"Well, it looks like Greninja likes it, too!" Jake giggled.
"I can't blame him. Greninja always stuck by Nifty's side for the longest time when the journey began," Sonic stated, "What about you, Chesnaught? And Manaphy? You like how Nifty did his sketching for all four of us?"
"Naught, Chesnaught!" The spiny armor Pokémon makes a happy noise, showing a wide smile as raising his fist into the air.
"Mana, Mana!" Manaphy chimes in, wiggling in Sonic's grasp happily.
"Now that's what I love to hear," Nifty cheered, "So, we have our Pokemon on our side, too. Where would we be without them? We will definitely shine brightly as this group, guaranteed. And since we're on a goal to save my parents, and Sonic's..."
Nifty shows a snarky smile as he raises his fists in a fighter-like position.
"What better way to make a group together to kick some Eclipse a**?" He teased.
"That's right!" Sonic cheers. He and Nifty then share a high five, and the two do the same with their respective starters. Even Manaphy happily joins in without a doubt in the world.
"Well, count me in," Tess said with a nod, "I liked journeying with you guys ever since you came in to help me and my Grandpa with those evil Team Eclipse people. I have no doubt we'll save your parents, and that you guys will get all the Gym badges."
"Yeah! I can't wait to be a part of Brick Bronze!" Jake cheered.
"That does remind me though, Jake," Tess stated, "I still don't understand why you dropped out of the Gym challenge. I'm curious why you decided to do that, since you already have the first two."
"Uhh..." Jake was frozen in place, blushing as he was struggling to come up with an answer.
"Oh, and by the way, Nifty," Sonic remembered, "Why the title 'Brick Bronze?' I'm not mad, but I am curious why you decided to make that our group title."
"Well, it's because of the necklace my parents gave me," Nifty replied as he stared at it for a second, "Since Rotom would consider me as a so-called 'leader' between the four of us, this guarantees a recipe for ideas in my head. So, bam: Brick Bronze. Related to my necklace, but I can also imagine the four of us hard as a brick, yet widely recognizable with our 'bronze nature.'"
"Whatever that's supposed to mean..." Tess sighed as she cross her arms, still smiling.
"I like that idea, Nifty! It works." Jake commented.
"I do, too. And I am really glad to have you as a best friend. Same with Jake, and Tess, and Rotom as well," Sonic rambled, "Oh, and let's not forget our Pokémon, either. They always love to stick by us."
Greninja and Chesnaught make cool poses upon Pokémon being mentioned. Nifty smirks as he looks at his blue-haired friend, placing his hand on his shoulder.
"That's why I made this group suggestion. We're gonna be well-known, buddo," The orange-red haired boy said, "And now that we have a unanimous agreement, from this day forward... together, we're Brick Bronze."
"Yay!" Jake and Sonic cheer in unison.
"Now, how about we start our new group start by heading to the emporium?" Tess suggested, "Gerald must be waiting for us. And we need to get a head start to help track down Team Eclipse."
"Sure thing. Greninja, return for now." Nifty said, grabbing his Poke Ball and returning his starter Pokemon. Greninja salutes playfully before being sent back.
"You too, Chesnaught." Sonic chimed in as he returns his signature starter.
"Well, let's get a move on, Brick Bronze! I can't wait for this fresh start!" Jake cheered, doing his best to contain his excitement.
"Me too, Jake. Let's get this show on the road. Nifty replied as he puts his sketchbook back in his bag and closing it. The group of four friends leave to Battle Arena, leaving the rest of the trainers to enjoy their battles and let the roaring crowd continue without a distraction.
Nifty felt proud he managed to get this far with the help of his friends and his Pokémon. With how the future will play out for him, it's gonna get better when he gets all the Gym Badges, and saves his and Sonic's parents.
And as Brick Bronze, it's most likely it's going to happen.

Sorry for so long before actually uploading this chapter, but I did have to come up with something. Hope this was a good start to the collection that may seem to grow as time goes on.
