Chapter 24: ..A Baby-Making Blanket?

Because I was getting tipsy, I decided to go chug myself water so that Paul won't find me passed out in the couch drunk with Leah. I don't think he would be pleased with that considering Paul and Leah do get on each other's throats ever since I got here. Paul might think Leah tried to get me drunk, that would be a problem.

Took awhile, but I was finally able to feel more coherent, so I asked, "Would you be here for a little longer, or are you waiting for Paul to get back? Imma go prepare for lunch."

She thought about it for a moment, and when she was about to open her mouth turned her head and sighed. There was a knock, and I heard Seth called out, "Hey Leah! Mom wanted me to go find you. She needs your help with something."

She grumbled, "Fine."

Before she went out the door, her eyes softened a little and whispered, "Thanks."

Seth was about to follow Leah when I called out to Seth, "Hey, can you give me few minutes of your time?"

He gave me a confused expression, got inside the house shyly and said, "What's up?"

I said, "I..want to apologize what went down at Bella's place…"

He cut me off and waving his hand as a don't worry about it manner, "No! don't worry about it. I know it wasn't your fault. If anything, it was Bella and Edward's fault, and you're new to this whole thing, so I don't take it against you." He said at the last part with a sad expression. It hurts me to see how much Seth liked Edward and Bella, and for them to treat him like that. It was terrible on their part no matter what reason it was.

I said, "Yeah..but you didn't deserve that Seth, but I left you like that. I should've done something instead of leaving you behind like that, and I broke your trust even when you were reluctant to take me to Bella's house. If anything, your wolf was probably sensing danger, but I convinced you otherwise, so I want to say I'm really sorry Seth."

Seth gave me a small smile, and he hugged me tightly, saying, "It's okay, Ale. I forgive ya. If anything, you can feed me at least once a week for the next three weeks, and I would take it as an apology."

I laughed, "You just want me to feed you, don't you? Sure, Seth. If you are hungry now, I can pull something quick for you to eat because I know you need to go soon."

His eyes lit up brightly when he heard food and followed me closely behind me until I told him to sit down at the table and wait for me. He was drooling by the time I got the food ready for him in few minutes. I fed him three packs of instant ramyeon (Korean ramen), and I gave him a fried egg on top of it with shredded green onions to make it look presentable.

He looked at me innocently and asked, "This smell so good, but what is it?"

I said smiling, "Its ramyun/ramyeon. It's Korean ramen. It's a bit spicy, but it's really good. I hope you like it."

He hesitantly put one forkful of ramyeon to his mouth, and he chewed it slowly debating whether he liked the texture or not. I ate one pack of ramyeon myself as a late lunch before I go start preparing dinner in two hours so that Paul would get here for supper. He immediately liked it, gobbled it all up, and drank the soup broth as well. He had a ring of red stain all over his mouth, and I tried not to laugh when I saw that. It was just too cute.

Seth then said, "Oh! I almost forgot."

I said, "Yeah?"

He exclaimed, "I need to tell you how yesterday went?

I said eagerly, "Oh, how did the bonfire go yesterday?"

He said, "Oh it went really well. Much better than we all thought. At first, they didn't believe in the stories until Old Quil got Jared to phase in front of them. Brady and Collin were pretty shaken when they saw Jared phased, and they starting to take it seriously. ..They were honestly pretty excited about being shapeshifters, and they had a lot of questions. They asked if they can go to college, have girlfriends or if they can tell their parents. We told them that they can go to college, but they would need to do it online or be part-time college student because they need to still serve as a spirit warrior to our community for awhile. We told them that it'll be best to not get girlfriends until they phase to make sure they don't break a girl's heart when they imprint. We told them about imprinting, and we told them that once they get closer to phasing, we can tell their parents so they can be on the lookout as well and help all of them transition better. Later on in the bonfire, Sam came to talk to them personally and told them that they don't have to become spirit warriors. They could go on a spirit walk and talk to their wolf spirit to decide the best course for their future before it becomes more set when they phase in the future. We were shock to see that Sam gave them that choice."

He paused and said looking down sadly, "Honestly, I liked that we were able to tell them all of this before they get too close to phasing…I just wished that we would've have done this sooner.."

I said softly, "I know..but at least..no one else would have to go through like what you and Leah went through."

He said with tears building in his eyes, "Yeah..and I want to thank you for being a good friend to my sister..I notice that she has began to go back how she used to be before..all of this happened.. Mom notices too but she is afraid that is too good to be true, so she only told me about the slight character change from Leah.…Not that much people understand Leah like I do..I know she can be a pain at times with her bitterness but, she is still my older sister, you know? I care for her, and it is nice to see someone finally putting an effort to see Leah like me and my mom do."

Awe. Man Seth, he is getting me all to my feels.

I said gently, "It's not a problem at all. Its more effort from Leah side. If she didn't have followed her wolf spirit encouragement, she wouldn't have opened to me at all. I am glad that I am able to help out, and ..if you need anything, I'm here for you too, okay?"

Seth nodded and smiled sweetly at me. He thanked me, kiss me goodbye on the cheek as he went out from the back door to phase privately.

I went back to the kitchen to start preparing for dinner. Since I ate Korean food for lunch, I was feeling Korean food for dinner and to give a better Korean food in case Paul finds out that Seth ate from my house again. I decided to pull the new XL rice cooker to make Korean sticky rice and marinate a pound of beef to make beef bulgogi. Even though the beef won't be as marinated if I did it couple of hours ago, but it would still taste good, hopefully.

The food was prepared, and I went back to the couch and nod off until I woke up from hearing Paul walking in on the door.

I jumped to his arms, "Paul!"

He chuckled and pecked me passionately on the lips, so I asked, "How did it go?"

He pulled out the marriage certificate, and it had our name Paul Lahote and Alexandria Lahote written on it. I grabbed it and I stared at it for awhile before I broke into a grin.

I said, 'I'm legal now!" until I heard Paul's stomach grumbled loudly.

He smiled sheepishly and said, "can we talk about this as we eat? I'm starving,"

I said, "Sure, sure."

He put down the marriage certificate and my documents as he sat down on the chair, waiting for me to bring our dishes out. He saw what I had prepared for him, and he said, "Wow girl. You're a better chef than I am."

I waved my hand away, "Nah. It's not much." Maybe I am being too humble, but eventually he is going to see how much cooking that I know.

He arched his eyebrow at me, giving me a doubtful look before he digs in. He said in between bites, "So Seth and Leah came over?"

I looked at him questionably, and he pointed to his nose. I said, "Oh yeah. Leah came almost right after you left, and we just talked. Seth came a little bit but only to bring Leah back home."

He also pointed to the trashcan and said, "I can see that you guys have drank a bit."

I said, "Oh it was Leah who mostly drank. I only drank one bottle since I had to cook later in the day, I didn't want to be disoriented when you come back home".

He nodded and continue to eat. I am glad that Paul didn't pressure me to tell him what exactly me and Leah talked about. All he needed was to hear what I did, and that is it. This is one thing that I like about Paul. He doesn't hover in this aspect, and he trust my judgment. I can tell that he was asking to make sure nothing serious really happened when he was gone, and not to control me or being condescending nor put me down for drinking a little.

Paul washed the dishes and went to shower as I was getting ready for bed in the bathroom. He invited me to jump in with him, and I declined because I was pretty tired. Getting sober from drinking took a lot more energy that I expected, so I promise him next time. He pouted and let it go.

I went out of the bathroom, and I saw the old blanket was on the ground, so I went to pick it up. Once I picked it up, I felt Paul coming behind me, wrapping my waist with his arms.

He said, "You know what I found out about this blanket?"

I said, "Yeah?"

He said, half-laughing, "this is actually a blanket passed down from one mated spirit warrior to another over the generations. We don't know who first made it, but it is a blanket that encourages the wolf spirit to have higher semen production to ensure that the woman gets pregnant, so lack of better words, it's baby-making blanket."

Oh. That makes sense of why he was able to produce so much cum last night. I was wondering where it was coming from. I said, trying to keep a serious face but epically failing with my face twitching to smile, "A baby-making blanket? Pft, who told you that?"

He continues, "It was Old Quil when I met all of them at the council as I reported them what happened last night. It was in Old Quil's possession because it was his ancestor from 5 generations ago who was a mated shapeshifter. When Sam first phased, Old Quil washed the blanket and asked Sam to find the cave and place it there until a new mated shapeshifter comes to claim it. That cave has been historically used for mated couples to complete the claiming ritual there, and that is why my wolf spirit knew where to go and was so eager to mate you in that cave."

I said, "Oh..so the blanket was a gift then?"

He whispered to my ears, "Yup.. its all ours" as he licked my ear. I shivered in response.

I said, "Well, I don't know how effective that...baby-making blanket is going to be since I have been taking birth control."

He shrugged, "Yeah, my wolf doesn't care about it. Most likely, he doesn't get it how birth control works, but that's okay. At least I get to keep it and keep fucking you in it."

I slapped playfully on his shoulder, and he chuckled. I got out of his arms, and slept under the blanket with him spooning behind me and we called it night.

I hope you guys this chapter. The next two chapters are in draft, so be on the lookout later on today again for a new one or latest tomorrow evening. I have work tomorrow, so I got some writing down today for it to not be too much during the week.

If anyone is wondering why Seth is around, he has a special purpose for this story, and I will slowly hint it as time pass. Hehe. Also, I like Seth, he is very easy to write about.

I am not too confident with handling all the characters of the pack, so you might see some members more than the other, and I am sorry. I'm still learning as a new writer.

P.S There will be some really steamy stuff next chapter, so for those who are uncomfortable, don't read it until I upload Chapter 26.
