After enduring week's or even months of painful torture in the hands of King Andrias and his Master healing but later possessing her body. Marcy Wu was barely saved by General Yunan and Lady Olivia. The two Newts take the young girl as far away from the Newtopian King and the Eldrich Monster as possible. But Marcy can barely stand. Let alone walk. So the Newts support her with her right arm holding onto General Yunan's shoulder and her left arm around Lady Olivia's shoulder. The three steadily but quickly make their getaway due Marcy's Legs moving so jerkily and Lady Olivia holding Marcy's waist. But as soon they escape, they are engulfed by a bright flash of light.

After blacking out for a few moments, the three awaken in a deserted playground area in Los Angeles, California. While Yunan and Olivia are overwhelmed by their new surroundings. Marcy quickly recognized where she was at, it was the playground where she and Anne played together since they were toddlers. It was the place where they met Sasha and became a friend group, where they played and hanged out together even as they got older. And it was even the last place they visited before they ended up in Amphibia. Marcy's reminiscing of her fond childhood memories is interrupted by the sounds of thunder approaching. They have to find shelter soon before it rains, as well as avoid being seen by other people. Luckily Marcy may know a place where they could stay, but the place in which she is referring to gives her an uncomfortable feeling in her stomach. Regardless, Marcy manages gather the strength to stand up and walk. But her movement is still slow and rocky and she nearly falls down before Yunan manages to catch her by the chest. Yunan and Olivia once again help Marcy walk as she tells them exactly where to go.

They steadily and stealthily make their way to their destination, all while the storm gets closer and avoiding the sight of other humans. And after a few close calls, they finally reach the destination. It's a house with a Chinese design, yellow green grass with a fountain that has no running water, a roof green tiles and a red chimney. But it also has a sign that says "FOR SALE" with a "SOLD" sticker covering it up on the lawn. This was the Wu residence. This was where Marcy lived before she ran away and before living in Amphibia. Although she's been gone for over half a year, the sight of the "FOR SALE" sign and the idea that her parents literally moved on so easily without her hit her hard. She almost tears up until Yunan and Olivia begin reassuring and gently hugging her by the sides. Now feeling a little bit better thanks to her Newt friends, Marcy wipes the tears away from her eyes. They agree that they'll stay there for a little while, and figure out a plan before the new homeowners arrive.

The trio slowly make their way to the front door, and when they reach there they find that the door is still unlocked. Yunan slowly opened the door and Marcy began to feel uneasy again. The girl lets go of her allies shoulders and makes her way inside with Yunan and Olivia close behind her with the rain starting as soon as everyone is inside. The place is dark but still light enough for everyone to see. Marcy looks around her former house, and the place is completely empty. All of the furniture in the living room, the TV, family portraits, everything she remembers is not their anymore.

As the thunder outside cracks louder, Marcy gets more uneasy, starts to breathe deeply constantly, and becomes overwhelmed by her old surroundings as she keeps slowly looking around her old house. Every room she looks in is empty, there's not even a scrap of food left in the kitchen. Just a bunch of empty cabinets and lamps with no light bulbs. Until this point she never wanted to be back here. She wanted to forget about her old life, she never explained to anyone why she never wanted to come back. She just keeps slowly and shakily looking around the empty house, and just keeps telling herself "It's okay Marcy. It's just a house." repeatedly in her head as her breathing intensifies as well as the storm outside.

Yunan and Olivia become worried about her and they try to approach her, but she shrugs them off as she slowly makes her way upstairs to where her room was at. Her walking is still a bit wobbly, but she makes it upstairs on her own. She reaches a door connecting to where her room is. Marcy opens the door and sees that her room is empty as well as lightning flashes through a window. What happened her bed, her laptop, her books, all of her stuff that was in there?! She doesn't know. Did her parents take all of her stuff with them, or did they donate it all cause she never came back?! She doesn't know that either, but just maybe they left a note or something for her. She searched all over her old room, even her old closet but nothing.

Whatever happened, she has no way of knowing if her parents did care about her, or if they abandoned or disowned her because she ran away from home. And without her phone, she has no way of texting or calling them for answers. Or anyone else for that matter. It doesn't matter anyways, cause even if Anne and Sasha are safe now. They probably won't Marcy for everything she did to them, and would never want to be friends with her anymore. The thought and the memory of her confession causes Marcy to break down to the floor in tears as Yunan and Olivia silently watch her with pity. As soon as she runs out of tears to cry but the sounds of thunder is still present, as she lays down down on the floor and pounders over on how her actions hurt her friends. She just didn't want be alone, but now she's sulking in her room completely alone.

She slowly begins to get sleepy from the stress and physical exhaustion, so Marcy curls herself on the floor to warm herself up. The air around her is cold and the floor is a little uncomfortable, but not as cold and uncomfortable as the amount of time she spent inside that stupid tube for an unknown number of weeks. She believes that she has no friends, or even a family to comfort her right now.

But as she's thinking about that, Yunan and Olivia come inside the room to check on her. They see her all curled up on the floor as she's trying to warm up and slowly drifting off to sleep. Seeing Marcy slightly shivering, Yunan removes her cloak from around her neck and covers Marcy's body with it like a blanket to warm her. Marcy looks at Yunan, and is touched by the Newt Generals often never seen kindness. Then she notices Lady Olivia sitting in front of her and she gently petting the girl's hair to transmit calm into Marcy. Marcy gives them a small smile, and they show a relieved look on their faces as the storm outside turns to only a light rain shower.

While Marcy is still worried and uncertain about what the future holds, or if her friends will ever forgive her or not. She at least knows that she is not alone right now, and hopes that everything will be okay sooner or later. General Yunan and Lady Olivia remain by Marcy's side and they keep watch over her. Even after she closes her eyes and falls asleep, and they will be there for the child for as long as she needs them.

Well that's the end. I know that I missed some important details, like character dialog, details on how Marcy was rescued, her time in captivity and under The Nights possession, the even more real PTSD she'll possibly have after her rescue in the actual series, and what they plan to do once the new homeowners arrive. But my brainrot wanted me to make this a short story and focus on Marcy's relationship with Yunan and Olivia, as well as the theme of her returning home and how much it has changed since she left earth. I alos wanted to give it more of a bittersweet ending, with a traumatized Marcy at least having a light of hope for her at the end (AND NEWT MOMS). I'll leave that stuff to the actual series creators. But until then, I hope you guys like this short story I made. This is also my first fanfiction story I published in over 3 years, so I hope you enjoyed it.
