It was a few weeks before Lyni's patience paid off. She was going along a corridor alone when a Senator, the sickly grey one again, tripped her by sicking his foot in her path and pushing her from behind. His friends were laughing with him when he said he didn't see her there.

"Article eighteen paragraph B." Lyni said evenly as she stood up.

"What is this beast talking about?" another Senator sneered.

Taking a deep breath Lyni answered, "Article eighteen of the Senatorial handbook is against physical abuse of your peers, and paragraph B bans purposely tripping them." Looking at the woman that called her a beast, "Article twenty covers verbal mistreatment and you broke paragraph C, derisive comments."

Another Senator, also grey, stepped forward, "Who would believe you instead of us beast?"

Lyni smiled, "Everyone." Pointing at the camera that showed everything that had happened, "They just have to pull the tape."

The abusive group turned to each other and started arguing about whose assistant should grab the tape to wipe it.

Another voice broke in, Commander Fox. "Too late Senators. The tape is already being pulled and is being taken to a board of inquiry about your conduct."

Lyni blew the affronted Senators a kiss, "Enjoy your day." Then she left Fox and a few Guard to take the other Senators to the hearing.

Thire laughed, "You really did."

Lyni nodded, "You gave me the idea." They were sitting in Lynis office having tea and cookies in celebration. Grabbing one of said cookies Lyni continued, "Besides, it should help others behave more with those idiots getting a warning and Senator sick face being sent home."

A nod, and the trooper smiled. Lyni was glad he trusted her enough to remove his helmet in her office. "That should make our lives a little easier."

"Yes, it should." They lapsed into a comfortable silence finishing their tea. Then Thire stood, shook her hand, and took his leave. Lyni sat back after he left and smiled, happiness.
