It was few days later when Riyo Churchi and Ilonia Fari saw Lyni again. She was also shopping for something and they were going to ask her about it when she was comparing colors on two bolts of fabric. This was not to be as a racist customer screamed her war cry and descended upon Lyni who looked around to see what was the matter.

"How dare you touch this fabric beast?" The squat older female was screaming at Lyni, "You have no right to be here monster!" A manager had come to find out what the racket was about and incensed woman turned on him, "How dare you allow filth like this in here? Where CIVILIZED people do their shopping!"

The manager looked appalled but any hope he would be helpful quickly died, "I assure you madam, I never wanted this disgusting creature in my shop." Thrusting the two bolts into Lynis arms, "Take this diseased fabric and go!"

Riyo and Ilona has seen Lynis jaw working but the slender young woman left the shop quickly without a backward glance. Ilona quickly followed with Riyo on her heels, "Lyni!"

They saw the other senator turn with a resigned look but she smiled upon seeing them, "Hello Senator Churchi, Miss Fari. How are the two of you today?"

Riyo cut to the chase, "Why did you let them treat you like that?"

Any smile or forced normality quickly left as Lyni's shoulders sagged, "I am Dathmarian. All of us get treated that way." Looking up at Riyo again, "How can I prove them wrong by attacking when they already think I'm a savage monster?" There was hopelessness in the question but she continued stronger, "I have to prove them wrong, and maybe others of my people will get a chance to prove which they are before being judged."

Ilonia reached out and put a hand on Lyni's shoulder like she had seen Savage do. Lyni looked up her as she asked, "Would you like some help carrying those?" A nod and faint smile in response. The three started walking together before Fari asked, "What are you getting bolts of cloth for?"

Lyni stopped and sighed though her nose which warned the other two she had so they stopped walking too, "Unlike you, no one will make any new clothes for my brothers and I. So I am getting fabric to make outfits for the ball." Seeing their unspoken question, "No one will make it for us, so I will sow them together."

Riyo asked, "Can we help?"

The eighteen year old Dathmarian looked up at them quickly and saw that they were sincere. A smile brightened her face again, "Could you help me find thread for them? And tell me if they will make the cut for the ball?"

Ilonia answered, "They'll be great." A small smile answered the statement and the three started walking again talking over styles. Comparing notes they had sketches for what would fit the four Dathamarians well.
