Chapter 47: Wedding Planning

I woke up on my back, naked. It was getting harder to go to sleep with clothes on. As the babies continue to grow, I was feeling more of their high temperature then sleeping with Paul who had the same temperature as them. It was hard not to get sweaty at night. I turned to look at Paul who was facing toward me, naked as well and he said with a grin, "morning, wifey~"

I chuckled, well half-croaked since I just woke up. I said, grinning, "Hi, husband." I heard his stomach growled loudly, so I smiled, "wanna go make some breakfast before we head out to see Sue?"

He nodded. I slowly got up and I felt my back ached just slightly. I looked down to inspect my belly. It gotten bigger again, and I feel the babies getting heavier. I didn't see any stretch marks, so that was nice to see and also weird as well.

I wonder why.

From the looks of how I have been growing each day, it looked like I am like 24-25 weeks along? Three days ago, I was just 20 weeks along. Is it due to the fertility claim, I am growing like a week and half every day? If I am correct, then by the end of next week, I would be 34 ish weeks along and the week after, that is when I would give birth to the babies. I might have like a week and half to two weeks before the pups are born.

Am I ready?

I feel like things are going so fast that I can't keep up. I was lost in thoughts when Paul came in front of me. He gently raised my chin to look at him, and he said with a worried expression, "What's wrong?"

I said, " they..have gotten bigger again."

He said softly, "Yeah, they did..but are you feeling okay?" as he pulled me closer, well as close he can with my belly in the way. He was rubbing my back in circles, and it honestly felt very soothing.

I said, "surprisingly, yes. I feel weight being added onto me, and my back aches a bit, but not too worrisome."

He was lost in thought for a moment, and a flash of silver appeared in his eyes. He, then said, "You're okay. I hear you and the pups' heartbeats, and I could hear them slightly shifting inside of you. They're fine. You'll be fine."

I said quietly, "okay."

I trusted his wolf and his instincts. His wolf will know in advance if something is up. I grabbed his hands and I pulled him to the kitchen to make breakfast. I made Paul to let me cook because I had a huge craving for huevos divorciados (divorced eggs). Paul watched eagerly as I prepared it for both of us, and he was eager to make it for me one day. Although it was cute that he was so eager, I also found it a bit annoying that he was hovering over me so much, but I get it. I get it, but it doesn't mean I liked it lol.

We ate our breakfast, got dressed, and put on my engagement ring before leaving the house. Paul noticed that I put my ring on before we left the house, and he beamed happily. I could feel from his emotions that he is proud of me to show off my engagement ring and that I am proud to wear it as well.

Paul drove, focused on the road ahead. I took this time to ask Paul, "so what do you want to do for the wedding? You want a small or big wedding?"

He said, giving me a quick glance, "I would prefer a small one to be honest." I asked him first because due to the imprinting, they have the tendency to follow along with whatever the imprint wants, but I wanted Paul to actually say what he wants.

I answered, "yeah I agree. I don't want a big celebration. Just within pack family and friends."

He said lightly, "yeah ..I was thinking to ask Old Quil to officiate for us."

I forgot about that part, so I said, "oh yeah! you think he is going to do that?"

He said with a slight frown, "I believe so. He is the shaman in the Rez. It would make sense."

I nodded and asked, "who do you want your best man to be?"

He said quickly, "I would like just Jared to be my best man."

I replied, "I see. You don't want any more grooms?"

He shook his head, "nah. I don't want all the pack to be my grooms just because they are pack, so you don't have to have the imprints to your bridesmaids, Ale."

I said with a small smile, "oh.. okay that takes things off of my chest. Yeah, I am not necessarily close to the imprints to make them my bridesmaids. Also, we are already legally married and about to start a family" with a shrug "so I don't need to have everything in a wedding. I am okay with having one bridesmaid by my side ..so It won't be too lonely up there ... I was thinking of asking Leah to be my bridesmaid. She is the only girl that I have gotten close to, but since she is mated with Jacob and Jared's imprint is Kim. It would be best if Jared and Kim walked together than making Leah walk with Jared. I know Jared won't mind, but Leah barely got imprinted by Jacob, I think Jacob might get a bit territorial, so I would like to avoid that. Then again, I need to ask Leah if she wants to be my bridesmaid…I don't know she will since..she said no to Emily..."I said the last part a bit dejectedly.

Sensing my discouraged emotions, Paul said reassuringly, "I think Leah would be okay with being your bridesmaid with everything that..you have done for her, Ale. Don't worry about it. If Emily makes drama about Leah being your bridesmaid, then she has to talk to me."

He said the last part tensely, so I didn't comment on that part. There was a pause, before I said, "Okay.. thank you carino. I'll talk to Leah and just ignore Emily…."

I trailed off because I realized who is going to walk me down the aisle? I don't have any family here…Oh, maybe I could ask Jacob... He is our Alpha, and I feel comfortable with him, but I don't know if Paul would be okay with that. If not, then maybe Seth? He is like a younger brother to me, and I know Paul tolerates Seth.

Paul sensed my hesitation and before I got the chance to finish my thought, he said, "What is it? I know there is something that you want to ask me?"

I said, "..Can Jacob walk me down the aisle?"

He paused and said, "Do you want him to? I can ask him if he minds."

I said unsurely, "You don't mind?"

He shook his head, "No, I don't mind. How come?"

I said, "Besides Jacob and Seth, I don't feel close to the rest of the guys for them to walk me down the aisle... Seth is like a younger brother to me while Jacob is like an older brother and since he is our Alpha, I thought it would be fitting for him to walk me down the aisle. It would feel like he is also giving his blessing for our marriage as Alpha."

He nodded and said gently with a smile, "I like that. I'll personally go talk to him after our appointment."

We finally arrived at the clinic. Paul parked the car, and I asked again, "Oh, when do you want to get married? I know you wanted to have the ceremony before the pups are born, but" I gave a hand gesture to my belly "it would have to be probably very soon. Or else, it would be hard on my physically to do a wedding in my condition."

He replied, "I agree. I'll see the closest date that Old Quil can officiate the wedding, then we do it then. In the meantime, you could start looking for wedding dresses and the place that you want to have the wedding."

He quickly got out of the car, and he helped me get out of the car. As we were walking across the parking lot to the entrance of the clinic, I said, "okay, I can do that. I was thinking of having the wedding here in the Reservation..Uh, I was thinking in the woods? We made so much memories in the woods.."

He grinned very brightly with his eyes lighting up silver, "We like that a lot."

He gave me a peck on my temple, and I giggled.

I asked hesitantly, "What's your budget on the wedding dress? I don't need a huge wedding dress or an expensive one. I am only going to wear it once in my life. I personally don't think it would be worth it to spend more than a $1,000 on a dress to be honest."

He gave a squeeze to my joined hands with him, and said, "Don't worry about the cost of the dress. Get whatever dress that you want. I want you to get what you want."

I nodded mutely as we got to the clinic, and like usual, it was only the three of us as the others went to lunch. When I knocked on the door to Sue's office. Sue opened the door.

I said brightly, "Hi Sue!"

She gave me a gentle smile and greeted me, "hi sweetie."

She gave a small nod to Paul and Paul gave her a nod as well. Her eyes widened when she saw me.

She said in an amazement, "wow you have gotten even much bigger in the past three days!"

I said shyly "yeah .."

She noticed the ring and gave even a louder gasp.

She said, "Is that what I think it is?"

I nodded excitedly and showed her my engagement ring. She said with a grin to both of us, "I am so happy for both of you."

I pushed my hair back behind my ear in embarrassment. She said with a light tease to her tone to Paul, "I bet you and your wolf are very happy"

He smiled proudly, "We are."

She clapped her hands together and said, "Okay, we can talk more about this later, but let's finish the appointment first before anyone comes back from their lunch."

I nodded, and she gave a calculative look to my belly.

She looked back to me and said reassuringly, "don't worry sweetie . We will figure this out together."

I gave a grateful smile as I sat on the table while Paul was next to me holding my hand.

Sue asked me while looking at Paul, "May I touch your mate?"

Paul nodded, and Sue went straight to work. Sue measured me around the waist, checked my vitals, the babies' heartbeats, and she also put her hand inside of me to check inside of me as well. While she was checking me, she had a pleased expression.

She said, "alright sweetie, I am all done."

She threw her gloves out to the trash can.

Sue continued, "you have healed up pretty well. When I first saw you three days ago, the babies' placenta was almost dangerously thin due to the surprising growth rate from the fertility claim. Now that I checked you, their placenta has thickened, their amniotic fluid has grown as well and your heart rate is normal. They are growing at a quicker rate this time. From my calculations, they are growing 1.5 weeks a day and you are hitting around 24 and half weeks long. By next week, you would be around 35 weeks along, very close to giving birth to multiples. I would make an appointment to see you again when you hit around 30 weeks, so that would be in..like 5 days. After that, I will highly advise you to be on bed rest until you hit 35 weeks."

Woah. I will be 35 weeks along by the end of next week?

My expression got pale, and Paul felt my anxiousness, so he rubbed my back to soothe me. He gave me a kiss on me the temple and he asked, "are you okay?"

I stuttered, "y-yeah. Just really shocked and nervous"

Sue said softly, "what's worrying you?"

I said, ".. they are triplets...would I be giving birth naturally? Would I need to do a c-section?"

She listened deeply of what I was saying. She turned to Paul and asked, "What does your wolf thinks about it?"

His eyes lit up, and said, "We have a plan to help her get ready to give birth to the pups. Doing the c-section won't be necessary."

She pondered with her hand to her chin and nodded.

She said, "Okay, we will go in plan to prepare you to give birth naturally. I also think you won't need C-section because you are blessed by the spirits. They won't let you struggle so much to give birth. Either way, Dr. Cullen was very kind to suggest Forks Hospital to send their old equipment's, so we have everything that we need in case of an emergency. Once you start getting Braxton-Hicks's contractions, I will reserve a room for you because at the rate of the babies are growing, your delivery will be quick as well, so it won't be long until you get real contractions. It will be great if the babies make it to full term, but as long as they make it to 34 weeks, they will be fine as well."

We nodded.

Once we get back home, I will make sure to give a short Call to Carlisle for allowing us to have the equipment that the reservation need in their clinic. and Paul asked, "We would like to have the wedding ceremony soon, when do you think we should have it?"

Sue responded, "I would highly suggest that you would have the ceremony before the next time that I see you so in 5 days. Have the wedding before the next appointment or wait until the babies are born. Oh, that reminds me."

She went to pull out something in the cabinets, and she said, "Here is the maternity belt. If the weight of carrying the babies, gets too much for you. You can start using this, to give some relief to your back."

I grabbed it from her and thank her. she looked at the time, and said, "Okay, you guys gotta go now. My coworkers will be coming in few minutes."

We quickly left the clinic and drove off. The ride back home was quiet. We both were deep in thought of things that we got to do for the wedding and for the arrival of my babies. We finally arrived back to the house; I went to the bedroom to take off my dress because I was getting uncomfortable. Paul cranked up the A/C, and I notice that I was getting a little sleepy.

Paul noticed it too and said, "You could go take a nap, and I'll go phase and ask Jacob and Jared about the wedding. Then, I'll go to see Old Quil. If I run into Leah, I'll ask her to stop later on today. I think by the time you finish your nap, I'll be back."

Paul said smugly with a wink to me, "Don't miss me too much, okay? I'll be back very soon."

He kissed me passionately on the lips and gave a quick kiss to my belly before leaving. I went to bed on my side as I cradled the baby-making blanket close to my chest.

Author's Note:

I know..I am late. I wasn't feeling well yesterday. I had migraines due to the change of weather and lack of sleep on Saturday. I had it up until the evening, so I was exhausted on Sunday. That is why I am sending the chapter today. I'll send another chapter soon. I am not sure when but definitely before Thursday.

I made a little adjustment to chapter 8 for that guest who read it. Thank you for that comment! I went back and I try to fix it within my abilities. Hopefully, it is not as jarring to read. Thanks!

Thank you guys so much for tolerating my grammar, waiting for me and giving good feedback! For a story without a Beta, I think I am doing decently.

I'll make the next chapter majorly Paul's POV.

As always, reviews are very much appreciated.
