What if Tommy Pickles is Female?
The only differences between this version and the original are her name is Trixie and wears a pink shirt. In The Rugrats Movie, Stu and Didi were about to name Dil "Trixie".
Also, Tommy does wear a stereotypical boys' color. So, it does make sense
if his female counterpart wears pink.
Part 1: Beauty Contest
Just like the original story, Trixie is watching a cowboy show and Lou saw an advertisement on the newspaper for Little Miss Lovely Contest. Lou instantly became interested in the prizes. However, what makes it different is he has a granddaughter in his house instead of a grandson.
Lou walked and climbed down to the basement as Stu is fixing a doll. "Hey Stu" Lou Said, "I've been wondering".
"What is it Pops?" asked Stu.
"Well, I think we should enter Trixie to Little Miss Lovely Contest" Lou explained.
"Hun, I never really thought about that" said Stu as sit up from the chair he's sitting. Then he and Stu climbed upstairs and went to the living to see Trixie.
"Just look at her" as he pointed to Trixie as she is riding on a rocking horse, playing cowgirl.
Stu and Lou walked close to Trixie in the living room. "Hey Champ" said Stu as he picked up Trixie. "How about we let you try out some dresses"
The same goes as the original story where Trixie, Stu, and Lou are in the basement. As they wondered which dress looks good on her.
"There is something I feel a little concerned about" said Stu, feeling worried.
"What is it, Stu" asked Lou
"I feel like people would mistake Trixie as a boy even if she wears a dress" said Stu, putting his head down on the table.
"Because she's bald?" asked Lou.
"Yes" said Stu, in a whiny tone of voice
"Come on Stu, there are plenty of one year old girls that don't have any hair" yelled Lou, in a stern voice. Then Stu started to moan more.
"But the prettiest looking babies have hair" said Stu, feeling depressed
"Are you body shaming your daughter" yelled Lou where Stu did not respond.
"Okay fine" yelled Lou as Stu puts his head up. "We can put a wig on her"
The same goes as the original story. Betty rings the doorbell as she's holding Phil and Lil. The babies are put in the playpen.
"Woah, nice dress Trixie," said Phil
"It's very beautiful," said Lil
"Thanks" said Trixie.
"Hey!" said Lil "When did you have hair?"
"Oh" said Trixie. "It's fake" as she takes off the wig from her head. "Dad and Grandpa are going crazy".
"Why" asked Phil.
"Well, Dad thinks that I look like a boy and only babies with hair are pretty" said Trixie, starting to feel sad.
"I don't have much hair," said Lil. "But Mom says I look pretty"
"At least you have some hair" said Trixie, feeling sad
The next morning: Stu, Didi, and Lou are taking Trixie to the pageant by car as Stu is driving.
"Stu" said Didi, feeling irritated. "Trixie looks beautiful even without hair"
"She's right you know" said Lou, talking to Stu angrily.
"I'm just worried that people will mistake her as a boy" said Stu, feeling nervous.
Stu, Didi, Lou, and Trixie came into the building and went into the backstage
"Here is my little star," said Stu. Then he gave her a kiss.
Trixie walks towards the other female toddlers.
"Hi, my name is Trixie" she said, feeling friendly. But the girls just looked at her and didn't respond. "Oh" she said, feeling disappointed. "I guess they're probably getting ready for the show"
The same goes as the original story. Drew is helping Angelica by preparing her to sing "My Country Tis with Thee". Then he is called to sit down with the audience. Angelica noticed Trixie, wearing the outfit.
"Trixie!" She yelled
"Um, Yes Angelica" asked Trixie, feeling nervous
"So, you're in the beauty pageant too, hun?" yelled Angelica, being sarcastic
"Ah, yes Angelica" said Trixie, starting to feel scared
"Hmmm" said Angelica "What is this on your head"
Angelica took off the wig out of Trixie's head
"Give me back my wig!" yelled Trixie. Trying to get her wig back by jumping
"Well, looks like you have to find it first," said Angelica. Then she threw Trixie's wig
as far as she can. "I guess you're not going to win the beauty pageant, after all"
"I got to get that wig back" said Trixie feeling determined. She crawled out of the backstage. Then, finally she found her wig. After she put the wig on, she was caught by a staff member.
"Now Trixie" he said "I gotta put you back in stage" as he is carrying her
The same goes as the original story, Angelica sings "My Country Tis with Thee" on stage. While the judges love it until the last part.
"How did you get back your wig!?" asked Angelica, while yelling
"Up next" said the announcer "Little Miss Trixie"
Trixie walks towards the front of the stage
"You know" said Trixie "I don't like wearing a wig, it makes my head feel funny". Then she took off the wig from her head while the audience are in shock.
"Oh No" cried Stu, feeling scared and ashamed
"I don't care if I look like a boy" said Trixie, feeling determined. "I just like being Trixie"
"And I don't really like wearing dresses either" she said, looking down on her dress
"Stop!" Said the announcer as he runs towards the stage "We have a mistake"
"This is the end for all of us" cried Stu, putting his face on his hands
"We apparently have a boy on stage, dressing up as a girl," said the announcer
"Hold on a minute" yelled Didi, feeling angry as she got out of her seat
"Di" said Stu
Didi walked into the stage
"Attention everyone" she said, "This is my daughter". Then she lifted Trixie, holding her
"It doesn't matter if a baby girl has hair or not" she said "she looks beautiful just the way she is, including mine"
"I am extremely sorry, Mrs. Pickles," said the announcer
"Now, the winner is…" While the audience are feeling nervous "Angelica Pickles!"
"Yes!" Yelled Drew as he got off from his seat
"I was afraid this was going to happen" said Stu, feeling sad
Later, Stu, Did, and Trixie are in their car. Ready to go back home.
"Even if Trixie isn't the winner, at least Pops is still able to get the fishing prize" said Stu as he is about to drive.
Just like the original story, they saw Drew's car pulling the prize while Lou is sitting on the boat.
