The old man wore a simple black suit it was nothing special, except for one insignificant thing, it allowed the man to notice any stain he would get on it.
"Very well, the two of you are quite late so neither of you knows how to speak as ladies," the old man said to them
"Considering that this is just for learning new skills this shouldn't be much of an issue" the man added
"...Mordred will be having a tea party with a noblewoman one of low standing" Saber said to the man but she suddenly understood she had done something she shouldn't have.
"My king may I be allowed to act like anyone else would act if you were any other person," the man asked Saber
"Go on," Saber said to the man
"Are you insane!" the man screamed
"My king a lady's job is done in the background, it's her, not the man that keeps gossip under control."
"When the men sleep with their wives and are done, it's their wives that have the men's attention and it's only then when they are open to any of the woman's words," the man said as he walked back and forth
"A compliment here is, in fact, an indirect insult"
"Let me explain when a man sees a woman he notices her beauty, the woman next to her is judging that woman from top to bottom, and even things that make no logical sense are blamed at her" he tried to explain to Saber and Mordred who just looked at him with flat expressions
"I don't believe you," Mordred said to the man
"One question, how many men have died because a woman accused them of something? or better yet tell me how many wars have started because a noble wanted a woman that was married to another man?" the man said to Mordred and Saber watched as murdered face became red
"How much time do we have?' the old man asked Saber
"A week" Saber answered the old man
"It's only a low house, they have no real power, yes we might make this work" the man murmured to himself, before clapping his hands once and turning his attention to Mordred
"Please turn around let me see you, front and back" he said to Mordred and she reluctantly did as he said
'You're a mess, but I've seen worse" He said as he lifted a finger
"You have no grace, you need to own what you have"
"While true that your chest is lacking, you have great legs and those hips are child baring hips men can't say no to those"
"You have a well-toned and curvy body, that much is certain, but any good you have is lost with that glare you constantly have"
The man said before he stopped talking and took a deep breath and turned to look at Saber.
"...A daughter needs her parent at her side, especially when she has fallen so far behind"
"First stand up straight but relax just a bit, you aren't a knight right now, you are a lady.
Learn to separate the two, when you wear that dress you are More the lady, when you wear the armor you are Mordred the Knight"
"If you are wearing that dress and holding a sword you are Mordred the knight, who just happens to be a lady," the old man said to Mordred as he signaled to Saber to do the same
"Hold this," the old man said to both Saber and Mordred as he handed them both a stick
"If you were children, I would have had you walk while balancing something on your heads, but you are trained knights so the method must be different'
"Keep the stick in front of your feet, stand up straight, and keep your shoulders wide"
"Keep one foot behind the other, if you feel the stick tap on your foot you are being too relaxed if your back or shoulders hurt you are being too tense"
Both Saber and Mordred did as the man told them too and Saber found that walking this wasn't much of an issue, she turned to look at Mordred and found that she wasn't having any problems walking this way either.
They walked from one end of the room to the other and repeated the act until the old man was satisfied.
Saber noticed the man had a smile on his face, it seemed as if he approved of what he had just seen.
"It seems this won't be impossible, just very difficult," the old man said, as he walked to a nearby table and pulled out two chairs
"Please take a seat" Saber walked up to the table and imitated what she had seen several of the knights wives do in the past.
"No' she heard the old man say, but when Saber turned to look at him, she found him standing in front of Mordred
"You must keep both knees together and keep your legs closed. Also, sit up straight and don't put your hand behind the chair"
"Look at the king she is doing it perfectly," the old man said to Mordred as he signaled towards Saber.
"What does this have to do with anything?" Mordred asked the old man with an irritated voice
"Posture is everything, a knight that stands straight gives off the feeling of power."
"While a knight that's hunched over, doesn't seem to be fit for his armor" The old man answered Mordred before he placed his hand on her head and lightly pulled on her hair.
"So many split ends," he said in an exasperated voice, before he kneeled and to look at Mordred in the eyes
"How do you expect others to treat you well when you don't bother taking care of yourself" the old man's voice was soft and it sounded as if he was talking to a child
"My king will you please come here and place your hand on her shoulder," the old man said to Saber and she did as he asked of her
Sabr felt Mordred's shoulder and just how stiff it was, Mordred seemed to jump a little when she felt Saber touch her
"I do not know where you came from and Its not my place to question it"
"I know that you missed out on growing at the king's, as a prince or princess should"
"Look at the hand supporting you, Arturia has never asked for my assistance, and yet here she is performing the acts a mother and a father would" The man's voice was soft but somehow it seemed to hurt Mordrde in more ways than any sword ever could
"My king, this is enough for today, she must choose if she wants to learn or not, if we force her she will only hate you for it," he said to Saber as he stood up and looked at her
Saber felt Mordred rise from her seat and walk out the door, she never said a word as she walked out of the room.
"Tell me is the duty of a lady so important" Saber said to the man
"There is a reason why the queens and ladies are killed when a rebellion happens or a siege occurs"
"The king is the power, the strength of the kingdom. When the people look at the kingdom they don't look at any knight they look at its king"
"The lady is the heart, for when the people look around them they see the queens guiding hand"
"The king expands and strengthens the kingdom, while the lady makes sure that things refine themselves wherever she turns" the old man answered Saber
"You didn't answer my question," Saber said to the man
"It's very important," he said to Saber before she too walked out of the old man's room
Tyranids and Chaos will tear the place apart.
