"Cutting the specific detailed organs here, here, and here while reciting the aforementioned prayers to Shuma-Gorath—"

"Ashley, what are you doing?" Taylor asked.

Ashley was sitting at a table with a dozen notebooks and several pens.

"So, between the memories that I Rogued out of Apocalypse, Beast's codex, Magick's Codex, and a codex that Strange used as bait, I currently know a lot about magic... Like, countless sorcerers worth of magic. And a bunch of other stuff. Apparently, human flesh tastes like veal, so... No more veal." Ashley clarified without stopping in her writing. "I tried casting a spell and it didn't work. Either Doctor Strange sealed away any spell-casting powers I have or I can't cast spells at all. So, instead of letting all the magic knowledge go to waste, I'm writing it all down so Lisa can use it."

Ashley held up two notebooks. "I've already covered demon summoning and exorcisms, now I'm covering necromancy."

Taylor left the room. Then she came back with a glass of water. She drank half of it. "Okay. Two questions: One, why do you know what human flesh tastes like?"

"One of the sorcerer codices came from a guy who could eat people to get their power," Ashley said. "...so, no more veal."

"And you're writing about dark magic because?"

"If you know how something works you can stop it more easily," Ashley said as though it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Like, if you know how to build a death ray then you know how to take a death ray apart." She blinked. "By the way, I also know how to build a death ray."

"I don't like that you know these things," Taylor said. "You're ten, you should not know this kind of thing."

"Well, I can't un-eat those codices," Ashley said with another shrug. "What's done is done so I might as well make the best of it."

"...And you don't think that leaving books of Dark Magic laying around might cause a problem?"

"...Nobody here believes in magic," Ashley once again said like it was obvious.

"...Look, I don't want to give you too many boundaries but I really think I need to start monitoring what you do more closely."

"You do what you gotta do."
