Chapter 65:
Leah's POV:
I said, "Jake, I love you."
I gave him a passionate kiss on the lips, and he responded eagerly to this kiss. He pulled me closer to his lap as he deepened the kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck more tightly, and he then started kissing lower down to my neck, leaving a trail of kisses. Once he got to my neck, he froze.
He laid his head on my neck, and he said with heavy breathing, "Tell me to stop, Leah. If not… I am going to keep going, and I wouldn't be able to stop myself.."
Do I want Jacob to keep going?
No, not yet. Not in our first date, so I said, "No..but soon, okay?"
He repeated himself, "Soon.. I can deal with that."
He pulled his head up to look at me in the eyes, and I could feel that he was happy. His eyes lit up silver in a blink of an eye before going back into his warm brown eyes, but I didn't see any frustration from his expression nor feel it. He caressed my cheek gently, and he said, "wanna go home? The sun is setting. I can walk you home."
I said with a small smile, "I would like that."
He showed a toothy smile that it was adorable to look at. Times like these, I forget that he is Alpha and the future chief. He can be his sweet self, but also vicious when he needs to be. He found his balance with both his human side and his shapeshifter side.
My wolf spirit whispered Yes, I can't wait to see his Alpha wolf spirit to come out to play
He didn't let me clean up after the dinner, so I just let it be. He wanted me to enjoy my date and not worry about it. I respected that. I walk down the road beside him, and I said, "Hey, Jacob."
He responded, "yeah?"
I said, "when I invite you to a date, that is when I want to go further ..and do the claiming ceremony."
He smiled warningly, "okay."
We walked the rest of the way in silence. We both were thinking about everything that we talked about, and it felt nice to relax and walk each other. Once I got to the front door of my house, and I was about to enter inside when Jacob said, "You're not leaving without my hug."
He pulled me to his hug, and I hugged him back. I said, "thanks, Jake. I had a great time."
I pulled away to give him a kiss before closing the door behind me. I sighed, and I turned to see my mom by the couch. She had a knowingly grin, and my face turn a bit red. I looked away, and I marched into my room and threw myself in the bed.
Wow. Today, went so much better than I thought. It wasn't intense but sweet. I am not used to days being nice and sweet that it felt foreign to me. I didn't realize I wanted this. I avoid moments like these, but if I think about it, I was just protecting myself from craving more and wanting more..
There is nothing wrong with seeking more with stuff like this. It is perfectly normal, and I should embrace it more.
I had a good day and evening. I let myself drift to sleep before calling it a day.
Author's Note:
It's short, I know, but I struggled hard whether for them to do the claiming ceremony or not. I was writing the first half of it, but I had a hard time to keep writing. It just felt wrong. It didn't feel right for this version of Jake and Leah, so I made this chapter instead. It felt more consistent to the characters that I portrayed or them.
Don't worry, they are going to do the claiming ceremony soon.
Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. Thanks for the comments! I appreciate them every time.
