It was a beautiful morning in the city of Bugdom. The sun rose in the horizon.

The bugs were up, ready to start their daily lives, except for the circus bugs, who were asleep.

The first ones up were the elderly couple Manny and Gypsy. Second came Francis, Heimlich and Slim, and third came Tuck and Roll, except Dim and Rosie.

Heimlich made a plan that they can hang out with each other since they don't have any performances to put on due to a day off from P.T. Flea's Circus.

"Hey, maybe because we don't have any perfromances to put on for today's show, we can play games and hangout together!" he said.

The others agreed, and headed straight to Rosie and Dim's home.

But when Rosie and Dim were already awake, Rosie shook hands with the others, and they all said hi to Dim.

Suddenly, Dim shyly started blushing even more. Rosie reassured her adopted son by petting him on his freckled horn with passion as she said softly,

"Dim, it's okay, the troupe just wants us to play something fun. Trust me, I'll take care of something you don't feel comfortable with."

Dim shyly but surely nodded in agreement. As he nuzzled Rosie back, she kissed him back. The other circus bugs felt awed.

Much, much later…

Slim and Francis helped Heimlich host a party whole setting up card games, and even water balloons in each bucket. The clowns also set up snacks, drinks and even treats on the table.

Manny, Gypsy, Dim, Rosie, Tuck and Roll were even more excited that this was happening.

Manny and Gypsy, who were much more older than their friends, decided to watch, but feel that they need some rest.

"Hey, where are you going?" Heimlich asked the couple with concern.

"Sorry about this, young people, but we can let you continue all the fun. Me and Gypsy need our much rest," Manny replied confidently while he puts on a kind grin to his friends.

"You dears can go ahead and have a good time," Gypsy agreed kindly with a smile on her face.

Nodding, the others bid the elderly couple goodnight, and the two went back inside to get their needed rest.

The young circus bugs were making their way over to the fun center.

As the young circus bugs had their stuff set. Heimlich gathered everyone, but once he said that they're playing water balloon fights, Dim was blushing shyly.

Heimlich and the others reacted with concern.

"Hey, what's wrong? Don't you wanna play?" Heimlich questioned.

Rosie reassured Dim as she told Heimlich,

"Dim's too shy to say anything or do something fun like that, but it'll take him time to warm up."

The others surely understood. Dim surely purred silently as he was petted by Rosie smoothly, including the others.

"Hey, shy beetle!" a voice called.

The group of bully insects approached the circus troupe, starting to pick on Dim, who was very shy at the same time.

"Come here, you're the one who doesn't know how to make friends!"

Shyly, Dim whimpered, as the other circus bugs are warming him up.

"I said come here!"

The bully insects enraged themselves, and began throwing stuff at the circus troupe.

BAM!

All of a sudden, as Dim was hurt directly at the face by a thrown object, he felt so much pain and started crying shyly. In reaction, Rosie scuttled over to her adopted son. The clowns and pill bugs began defending Dim like Rosie was doing.

"You bullies got some nerve for trespassing us," Slim said sternly.

"You idiots leave our friend out of this! How would you like it if something gets thrown at you?!" Francis shouted angrily.

"Ja!" Heimlich added sternly.

Tuck and Roll nodded in agreement. Rosie said,

"You three better leave now, leave Dim alone."

Then, she clenched her fists, about to strike her whip at the bullies again. The bully insects scurried away. As Dim whimpered in fear, Rosie reassured him by petting her adopted son on the freckled horn.

"For goodness sake! These bullies have crossed the line," Slim said.

"You're telling me, if they show their faces again, I'm gonna...!" Francis agreed as he started to enrage himself.

But as Heimlich calmed him down, he added,

"Ja, I know, Francis. They have gone too far."

Tuck and Roll nodded as they let out while crossing their arms,

"Hmph!"

Rosie nodded her head while reassuring her adopted son Dim, who surely calmed down at first. Once he started to feel better, Rosie kissed him on the freckled horn as she told her friends,

"They'll pay for what they did to Dim."

In the night...

It was nighttime, the young circus bugs were walking their ways back home, but noticed Manny and Gypsy are still feeling better while taking their rest, though.

So they bid each other goodnight and went right to sleep.

Right inside the house bedroom, Dim and Rosie were asleep. As Dim moved a bit, he shook a little bit in his sleep; but as Rosie woke up and reacted, she smoothed his legs and arm to comfort her son. As Dim felt his adoptive mother do so, he calmed down and fell back asleep. With a smile of reassurance, Rosie kissed him on the freckled horn one last time, and she fell back to sleep.
